All men are nurtured, first and foremost, by the truth, not only those who search for knowledge…. Everybody who yearns to live as a true human being depends on this nourishment. Even society as such is sustained by the truth publicly proclaimed and upheld.

People do not usually understand their enemy. In fact, they rarely try. Tucker Carlson’s interview with Putin is a case in point. Carlson clearly did not understand Putin. At the same time, Putin seemed to understand Carlson.

  1. Political opponents are getting killed in America. Johnson was involved in Kennedy brothers assassination.

    1. You skipped your sleep to be the first one to post your nonsense. And, certainly, lack of sleep deeply affected your, dysfunctional anyway, brain.

      1. He gets an extra Ruble bonus if he’s the first propagandist to leave a steaming comment on a new Jeff article. It’s a bit of a badge of honor around the proverbial FSB water cooler.

    2. By the way; Did President Trump order an assassination of Biden or Pelosi? Did President Bolsonaro order an assassination of Lula? Did President Duda order an assassination of his opponent Donald Tusk? They all, certainly, deserve death and yet they are still alive. So whom are you referring to?

      1. Did any of them do anything against international Jewry? Kennedy wanted to prevent Israel from obtaining nukes, it was them who killed him, Johnson was only involved as a helper. I did not write he acted alone.

      2. The idea that all leaders kill (murder) has been one of Tucker Carlson’s real low points. But conspiracy theorists will go there. They will support it — and bring us lower still.

      1. Who controls book publishing? Books are not a good source on JFK assassination. There are increasingly many authors on the internet who promote the Zionist/LBJ link. For example Ron Unz.

      2. The unnerving thing isn’t that some Soviet troll doubles down on the usual conspiracy theory against LBJ, the much more frustrating consequence of such disinformation activity is that ever more Americans indeed believe in these lies.

    3. Jeff Nyquist is a total conspiracy theorist and totally wrong about Russian Communism, and also there’s a steady stream of commenters who appear with a certain fake name (Barth, Commit, etc..) who then disappear only to emerge with a different name, who monitor this blog, are always the first to post, and always spout Russian talking points.

  2. Mr. Nyquist. It is always dumbfounding to me that the global communists spend so much times to keep antisemitic conspiracy theories alive but they also do the opposite. The first “Jews rules the world” and Rothschilds conspiracy theories were invented by a French socialist. After him, it just kept getting worse. Stalin persecuted the Jews but tolerated some of them into leadership at the same time. Holocaust happened, and then people started to get sympathetic for Jewish people. Soviets portrayed themselves as the liberators of Jews but they also recruited former Nazis into diehard communists in the STASI and various arms of Eastern Germany (GDR). Still, the USSR and communists played a weird double game where they literally helped to create Israel where many leaders of Israel were and are still socialist/communist. Modern Russia still maintains the same, shadowy, close ties with Israel where many Israelite leaders were members of KGB or Soviet Armed Forces at some points. Even the Jews are globally declining in population and influence, yet the antisemitic haters keep rising especially among Muslims.

What is the point of promoting antisemitism, creating Israel, perserving Jewish communities at the same time for the global communists?

What is the weird game with Israel/Palestine that Russia, China and other communists playing here?

    1. Dear XENO MAN, Dr. when asked by a journo, what it would take to stop the Jews being hated so much Thomas Sowell responded: “Just to fail”…
Regardless of what you have pointed on the Jews’ addiction to socialism, communism and other forms of collectivism, Jews are one of the most successful nations and ethnic groups in the world.
While we have a right to be a critical of many aspects of their dealings with the so called “Palestinians”, Israel is the only truly democratic, even if highly imperfect, country of FREE PEOPLE in the entire Middle East.
Israel is also one the most advanced technologically countries in the world while the Arabs, even those economically prosperous like Kuwait, Emirates and others have their economic success carried by the artificially inflated prices of oil and gas.
Without oil and gas, the Arabs would still live in eighteen Century. Just like Russia.
And for that reason, the Arab regimes and their brainwashed slaves see Israel as a painful splinter in their eyes that must be removed at any price.
Current Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is very well aware of the Russian influence in Israel and the danger Russia poses to Israel’s existence, however, in the situation when he cannot fully, or perhaps not at all, count on support of the anti American, illegal and demonic Biden’s regime, he has no other choice as to play the conciliatory game with Russia.
Obviously, it is much more complex than that.
      Regards – Bogdan

      1. It is also strange in Israel that the people, who call the removal of Netanyahu and Likud, are the leftists and Jewish socialists/communists. Israel is ironically a festering ground of communists that blended themselves in US Democratic Party and other leftist Parties in the West.

So in your opinion, what is the real goal of communists trying to remove Netanyahu here?

    2. Possible explanation. There are many Jewish communists in capitalist countries and many Jewish anti-communists in communist countries. Jews are nowhere happy, it is their defining feature. So initially CPSU was full of Jews as a relict of its past before the revolution. Gradually USSR became anti Jewish.

      1. Knhacker: You do not really know any history. You might as well say that there are many one-eyed trolls in capitalist and communist countries. These trolls are nowhere happy. Blah blah blah. But trolls or Jews are not the cause of the USSR, and the paradox you are trying to solve is simply a function of reconciling your nonsensical world view with one or two tidbits of half digested fact.

      2. Barth, Commit, Hacker, Valentina – the names change, but the lies remain predictably the same.

  3. When I was still living in Poland under the whip and the boot of the communist regime any attempt to gain an access to an independent, objective information was coupled with a severe danger.
The person who, smuggled Solzhenitsyn’s “Gulag Archipelago”, for example, took an enormous risk and could have easily landed in a communist prison for ten-fifteen years. He took the same risk when he decided to distribute the book among the people he believed he could trust and that included me.
And here we have an individual, a MORON named Tucker Carlson, who was born and raised in a freest country in the world with an unlimited access to the info especially now when he also has to his disposal the most modern tools of communication and who is now becoming a symbol of a barbaric, virtually inhuman ignorance.
Any intelligent human being will always look for an alternative information. “OK, my favorite guy said that, but what about the guy who has different and even a contrasting opinion?”
As one of the most popular “conservative” pundits in America he is particularly obliged to know EVERYTHING.
    And yet, he knows NOTHING.
It is sufficient to just CLICK on the right button to get the right info immediately. It requires no risk and no effort. It costs NOTHING.
To say that he and his supporters suffer from an “intellectual implosion” is a huge understatement. Their minds and their “intellects” have been sucked into an intellectual BLACK HOLE and disintegrated.
He is has also committed an act of high treason. He went to the lair of America’s mortal enemy to placate him, to excuse him and to smoother his demonic image in a situation when Putin is planning and we are talking about an advanced stage of planning, a surprising thermonuclear attack on his homeland.
Thus he has managed to poison millions of his, equally ignorant, followers with a potent sleeping pill so they won’t even know when an attack on America commences.
    Very sad.
    Regards – Bogdan

      1. Thank you Jeff. Yes, he has become, indeed. He is like Gollum to Saruman…
        Regards

      2. Just a few days after that fatal interview Carlson did in Moscow, he showed up at the annual World Governments Summit in Dubai (which looks like an Arab version of Klaus Schwab’s WEF), spreading more pro-Kremlin propaganda. Clearly, his Putin interview wasn’t a “misstep”. My impression is ever more that the man knows perfectly well what he is doing. But when asked by the interviewer, Egyptian media mogul Emad Eldin Adeeb, about his political positions, Carlson gives himself away as either clueless or a spineless opportunist:

“I mean, my views are not very interesting. I’m not sure how to characterise them. They are changing as quickly as the world itself is changing. And, as a matter of principle, I think that, you know, your views should change when the evidence changes and assumptions that you had in the past are proven wrong, that has happened to me virtually every month of my life. If you pay close-enough attention [L.O.L.!], you can rate your own performance, just as if you’re betting on sports. You know, I lost that one. And when you do, when it turns out that things you thought were true were lies, you should admit it. [WILL HE?] So, what are my views? I’m not certain. ‘Tell the truth!’ is my main view [REALLY?], and I plan to do that to the best of my ability [OR LACK THEREOF] …”

      3. Jeff, I was just thinking that, in a way, Carlson is responsible of Navalny ‘death.

      4. Carlson may bear real responsibility in the death of Navalny. And this is not a trivial thing. We may debate the degree of responsibility as we may debate the responsibility of someone who kills a pedestrian with an automobile. Was it manslaughter or murder? Was the driver drunk on ideology or asleep at the wheel. There is great responsibility involved in driving a car because of the potential for harm. Likewise for powerhouse journalists. Their actions can have equally grave consequences.

      5. It’s rather difficult to give Putin a fair trial for murder as he’s been tried in the biased press. I would say that it’s more obvious that Carlson is biased in favor of Putin as much as the press is biased against him. Moderator to this blog, notwithstanding.

      6. After all the destruction and death in Ukraine, do you really think Putin is an innocent person? This is international politics and strategy. There is no courtroom here. But we are still obligated to make moral judgments lest we act without a moral compass altogether. To have such judgments is not to be biased. Only if we judge incorrectly can we be charged with bias? Fact and testimony, reason and judgment should be guiding us.

      7. Hypothetically you can make the case, but on the other hand, you castigate contributors to this thread for accusing JFK’s political rival for conspiracy in the assassination. You can’t have it both ways, Jeff. You are behaving as an hypocrite. I’m not saying that you are in fact a hypocrite. I’m just making the case, hypothetically. Now I suppose you will delete this comment, and I’ll have to post the screenshot on your X/Twitter, page.

      8. Have it both ways? There is no evidence for the claim that LBJ conspired in the death of John Kennedy. I would be a hypocrite only if someone actually offered real evidence. But when people come to this site and spout nonsense, without any evidence, what can I do? They are wasting everyone’s time and using the precious space here to say untrue things. People like you just come up with one outrageous claim after another. One should have facts and reason and real knowledge. If they have such, they have very carefully hidden it in the many insults you and others throw my way. I only ask that you put more effort in your search for truth, and less on advancing narratives that serve the cause of confusion.

      9. Now you’ve stepped in it Jeff. Name one false unqualified assertion that I’ve made, that you can honestly ignore without deletion of the comment. If I have an hypothesis, then I qualify my statements. If I neglect to provide links or citations, just request them before deleting my comment, if you sincerely are fair. Furthermore, don’t jump to conclusions as if I have any beliefs about LBJ, any one way or the other. Show me what I’ve said.

      10. You do not seem to be saying much of anything, Larisa. Even what you seem to say, you seem to take back. And I do not have time for someone who will not answer my questions or stay on topic. If I delete you it’s because you are wasting my time and I cannot sit here all day going round and round with someone who is not saying anything substantive. America is in grave danger from Russia rather than Russia being threatened by America. The state of our nuclear arsenal is known to be dilapidated and old. The state of Russia and China’s arsenals is new. Please explain how your earlier statements can be justified. Please make sense or at least stop making nonsense.

      11. You are the one wasting time and space making unsubstantiated assertions. Again you fail to cite any factual errors on my part. You don’t like when I prove you to be biased to the point of falsehood. Would you care for me to list at least a dozen of examples, supported by screenshots?

      12. You suggested America is threatening Russia. But Russia has a modern nuclear arsenal and the US does not. Please explain how you can justify this.

      13. I have yet to hear from the Pentagon about what America’s deterrent to Russia actually is. You have credibly written about this and I don’t doubt it. What I suspect is that the US has super advanced high tech weaponry which renders nuclear arms, obsolete. Otherwise, it makes no sense to me why NATO would be encroaching upon former Soviet territory. Assurances were made to Russia that NATO would not expand into Eastern Europe, by one not authorized to make such a commitment, but why make such false promises? Because there is wisdom in not expanding NATO, Eastward. This brinkmanship seems insanely suicidal, unless the US Space Force is way ahead of the curve.

The point is that the Pentagon through the Intel Committee never made any case to the public about concern of deficiencies of US defenses, and you never rallied your readers to petition them for accountability or reasons to upgrade. Russia has complained about NATO provocations and the US ignores them. How does that make sense if the US isn’t confident that it’s weapons are sufficient? What amazes me is, that if as you say, Russia has superior weapons, then why does Russia tolerate Biden’s brinkmanship?

I appreciate you actually asking me, instead of deleting the comment and only saying that you asked me, as you usually do.

      14. Larisa: I have been more than polite, taking your abuse and your unwillingness to engage in an adult discussion. I asked you a number of serious questions and now you ignore my latest question. I cannot have a discussion with someone who talks past me and ignores my points and questions — changing the subject midway. Please find another hobby horse. Our military leaders have warned Congress about the rapid deterioration of our nuclear forces for the past 15 years, with particularly urgent warnings and requests starting in 2020. If they had better weapons they would not have given testimony again and again about the deterioration of our deterrent. Your unwillingness to discuss the facts, which you are not even curious enough to google, tells against your honesty. Bye bye.

    1. It may be the KGB objective to muddy the waters after all, they don’t want to be seen behind anything evil until that evil is accomplished – and when it comes to evaporating a vast acreage of the enemy homeland, including highly populated cities, then any such propaganda and good image staged nonsense is helping to procreate that false image for these communist criminals.

But one need not to be surprised – there are always people with honor and love of the truth, as there are always people with communist inclinations, no back-bone or compromising perverted mind which cannot fathom the constraints of the truth nor is willing to accept them, because to be evil and lie is more “sensible” – it is more acceptable to them.

If they were true, they would know that no liar can enter the Kingdom of Heaven, as God is the truth Himself, and so no liar can be with Him for all eternity as the Maker and Supreme Judge does not tolerate the contrary “qualities” in His creatures, they are then simply excluded from the eternal benefits. All of them who were already excluded are now and forever regretting it in Hell, and so will Mr. Carlson and his like, unless they convert and amend, and repair the damage they have caused by their lying.

      1. Lunev said they would tell Europe that the US was to blame for the war after they nuked them. That is what all this hate-campaign has been for the past 60 years. Make people hate America so that when it was nuked by the Demons, they wouldn’t feel sympathy. This will maybe work on some portion. Of course, once Russian and Chinese demonic dictatorship rules worldwide, people would be begging for US policeman. But by then it would be too late.

      2. Perseus is right that it will be too late for a U.S. policeman—how many in the U.S. will survive from our own being nuked? The CCP and Soviets will nuke us at the same time. That’s not counting the slaughter made by their troops they have brought in thanks to our own traitors.

Our biggest hope (from a human standpoint) is that the Soviets and CCP will start to fight among themselves, as well as against their Moslem allies. One of the fallouts of the “Putin interview” is a reopening of the Chinese claim on Vladivostok because of the historic Chinese rule of the area. If Putin claims the parts of North America previously ruled by Tsarist Russia (as far south as the northern side of the Golden Gate), why not the CCP return the favor for parts of Siberia formally ruled by China? Or how about the “Eastern Mountains” (Rocky Mountains) from 2000 years ago?

  4. There are two main kinds of communist provocations and proposed “conspiracy theories” which then are designed to sway the blame from the KGB and the Kremlin Bolshevik Mafia to other people, but the term communist conspiracy is never used, it is the other label that they use to create confusion, or compromise on the truth, and these communist provocateurs use carefully crafted lies to further their conspiracies, which are of course nonsense in facts and history and even from the theological point as well.

There is no possibility that Jews are behind communism, because communism of itself is based on the heresy of heresies – atheism. In fact any communist who attempts to speak about God is censured by the Party and suspected of betrayal, so these fanatics don’t dare to do any of it.

In the sense of history, these communist criminals and pathological liars propose that the main Bolsheviks were Jews and thus the whole revolution in Russia was organized for that purpose to further the Jewish religion through communist revolution, or at least Jewish ideals through that atheistic terror, which is so preposterous and idiotic that one has to think whether their level of fanaticism has taken their brains completely and whether they are truly so deeply possessed by the devil that they cannot help themselves and thus they spit so idiotic and truly lying demagoguery that one is forced completely into disbelief about it.

The other communist run “conspiracy theory” is the masonic nonsense, because it defies reason and historical facts as well – that a group of devil worshiping bankers would be in charge of communist atheistic terrorist states, like Russia and China, is just as idiotic as the Jewish conspiracy.

These atheistic enemies of the truth, some of them, would even venture to suggest that Lenin, who was baptized as Russian Orthodox, and Stalin, were Jews…lies and lies and nothing but communist lies.

What to do about it ?

Just ignore them, they cannot be helped, God will visit them with horrible punishment for covering up the greatest evil that has ever befallen the human race, which is nothing else but communist atheistic criminal evil and the Kremlin Mafia running.

Russia will be punished by God when the proper time comes, they have lot to answer for, all of the evils the Russian communists have caused will be repaid by God.

    1. The term “Jew” has come to refer to an ethnicity. There are Atheist Jews. If you restrict the term to just those who meet the original definition, “a practitioner of the religion of Judah,” then there would be no such thing as an atheist Jew. It would be an oxymoron.

The fact is, the original definition has not applied for centuries.

      1. Aren`t there opposing views inside Jewry about this? I remember having heard Ben Shapiro say in an interview with Dave Rubin and Jordan Peterson that he, Ben Shapiro, was a Jew who does not believe in the concept of heredetary Jewness. He used a hebraic term I forgot for what he is.
As for the conspiracy theorists, to my understanding they do not all say that all Jews are inherently bad, many just claim that a certain messianic sect is at the top of a hierarchy (kind of a secret jewish vatican). They seem to believe similar things as US Evangelical Christians and have an activist interpretation of biblical prophecies, i.e. they believe they have to help to bring about Armageddon etc.. Other messianic jewish sects consider that as blasphemy.
Maybe I am naive (and I am also agnostic), but to me this does not sound at all like actual Antisemitism, like the Nazis understood the concept.

      2. This conspiracy theory, which comes from the KGB has religious aspect and none other (and the proof is the words of none other than then KGB Chairman Andropov to Gen. Pacepa – in regards the KGB using the fabricated forgery which is religious “document” the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and this against the Muslim fanatics to create hatred for the Jews – in this case 2 countries, Israel and the main enemy of the communists the United States – Pacepa confirmed this in his interview on the subject).

And this KGB conspiracy theory attacks Christianity as well, as the KGB studied the historical context, among which is also the biblical one (Acts of the Apostles 15 : 5)
        https://drbo.org/cgi-bin/d?b=drb&bk=51&ch=15&l=5#x
and also the situation which came to pass in Catholic Spain, which then caused the King and Queen of Spain to start the inquisition, when the Jewish population of Spain increased and they tried to further their religion of the Old Testament unto the Catholics, including some of them entering Seminaries and studying for Priesthood.

It created a grave problem, which the Inquisition solved, but the Church later obliged and commended the Kings and Rulers to abolish this secular juridical tool altogether.

Now the KGB carefully studied this historical context and used its religious value in order to inflict this on the Catholic and even Protestant nations, and to sway the blame away from the communists unto the Jews, which the communists hate with truly diabolical hatred…

So your assertion is incoherent with the manifest intention of the KGB, which is to create atmosphere of religious fear among certain religions that the Jews will install their religion by force, using the tools of communism as the necessary means – and this is what Andropov meant when he spoke to Pacepa and others about it…their use of Islamic fanaticism was very valuable because the communists could exploited that to inflict major and lasting problems against the main enemies, the US and Israel etc., by their use of Islamic terrorism, run by the KGB-GRU etc.

        https://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/73213.Ion_Mihai_Pacepa

Quotes from Pacepa’s book Disinformation at this link above.
        ———–
In 1972, the DIE received from the KGB an Arabic translation of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion along with “documentary” material, also in Arabic, “proving” that the United States was a Zionist country whose aim was to transform the Islamic world into a Jewish fiefdom. The DIE was ordered to “discreetly” disseminate both “documents” within its targeted Islamic countries. During my later years in Romania, every month the DIE disseminated thousands of copies throughout its Islamic sphere of influence.”

———– (This one proves the point that the creating the religious hatred is the objective of the communists and to exploit it is the ultimate goal):

“Disinformation has become the bubonic plague of our contemporary life. Marx used disinformation to depict money as an odious instrument of capitalist exploitation. Lenin’s disinformation brought Marx’s utopian communism to life. Hitler resorted to disinformation to portray the Jews as an inferior and loathsome race so as to rationalize his Holocaust.

Disinformation was the tool used by Stalin to dispossess a third of the world and to transform it into a string of gulags. Khrushchev’s disinformation widened the gap between Christianity and Judaism. Andropov’s disinformation turned the Islamic world against the US and ignited the international terrorism that threatens us today. Disinformation has also generated worldwide disrespect and even contempt for the US and its leaders.”

        —————-

So now the KGB is pushing this fraudulent Jewish conspiracy to cover its own atheistic hatred for all religions, by insinuating that the first leaders of the USSR were Jews, and that by being Jews, they intended to push this religion onto the whole world, by using the means of communist terror, which reasoning defies REASON and HISTORICAL CONTEXT, and these above quoted manifest intentions of the KGB at that time.

      3. Ohengineer is right, what defines who is a Jew has changed over the years.

Originally, it referred to a tribal identity defined by ancestry, those born of Jewish fathers. Later it was changed to those born of Jewish mothers. It has always allowed for a certain amount of converts to be considered “Jews”. Today, “ask two Jews, and you’ll get three answers.”

Today, most people who are of Jewish ancestry (tribal) are atheists or agnostics. Only about 10% consider themselves “religious”. Many who are of Jewish ancestry are actually antisemitic, like Karl Marx. For example, Lev Davidovich Bronstein actually denied being Jewish, taking the name Leon Trotsky. So who is a Jew? Ask two Jews, and you’ll get three answers.

However, antisemitism is alive and well. For example, the teaching that Bart Ehrman and his ilk preach has its roots in German 19th century antisemitism. Today they try to hide its roots. I’ve heard other antisemites include any rich family with Germanic sounding names as “Jews”, such as the Rockefellers and Morgens (both names are Dutch, not Jewish). What about all those of Jewish ancestry who, as antisemites, joined the communist and Nazi parties, are they still Jews? Biblical Christianity is ideologically and historically a Jewish religion (Hitler complained that Christianity made Jews out of Germans), are Biblical Christians Jewish converts?

All that hate, but who is a Jew?

      4. Fabio, the rule, generally recognized, is that anyone born of a Jewish mother is a Jew. Shapiro is a bit shaky on this himself as I’ve heard him apply that rule. Since the term is used in reference to an ethnicity, they have a very hard time denying the ethnicity of anyone born to a Jewish mother.

As I pointed out earlier, “Jew” originally was a religious label. The ethnicity is Hebrew. In reality, teh religion of Judah no longer exists as it was made impossible when the temple was destroyed in AD 70.

“Messianic Jews” are actually Christians under a different label. The are dispensationalists and for very good reason. There have been extreme dispensationalists, Scofield being the head of that school, but the Bible itself is dispensational. Important prophecies have been fulfilled over the last 80s years. The biggest being the re-establishment of Israel as a Nation-State in 1948. Much has followed in that path, and the assembly of nations listed in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 is happening as you read this.

I don’t what you mean by “activist interpretation,” but if you mean they accept prophecy as written and take its seriously, as they should, then they are guilty as charged. I fall in that category myself.

Evangelical Christians do not believe they have to help bring about the battle of Armageddon. We know we can’t hurry things along. Prophecy is fulfilled at God’s pace, not man’s. It is simply a foolish accusation, reflecting a basic misunderstanding of the dispensational school, that causes people to believe the lie that Evangelicals are merely trying to help things along.

  5. Meanwhile, AMERICANS languish in Federal Prision and NO ONE cares. You weep for Navalny yet no mention of the death of Gonzalo Lira in a Ukraine prision. NO mention of the torture and imprisionment of J6 protestors.

When will YOU care for America?

    1. I tweeted about Lira’s death, and you know perfectly well I am against Biden and his communist provocations. We can all see that the communists want an excuse to begin mass arrests in this country. That is why we must be impeccable in outlining our positions. We must not put ourselves in a false position. We must not feed the narrative of civil war. We must marginalize the far left instead of marginalizing ourselves. And that will require careful thought — not the blundering of Shipwreck.

      1. Civil War? Really? No sane person would advocate that. My position should be the position of every American: RESTORE THE REPUBLIC. How? By using the tools set forth in our Constitiution. Only be saving our Nation can we ever hope to help others throughout the world.

PS. this, “Carlson may bear real responsibility in the death of Navalny” is the most asinine thing i have heard all day.

      2. Nyquist, you really are a spin doctor. Lira was residing in Ukraine BEFORE the invasion. He never advocated for Russia only pointed out the fact that Zelensky was corrupt and inept. Keep spewing your Neo con Rand corp talking points.

      3. Ukraine has been at war with Russia since 2014. And Lira was charged with justifying Russian aggression against Ukraine. Please. I am putting no spin. Russia is trying to destroy Ukraine. Lira is one of those anti-American types who thinks it patriotic to side with the destroyer of a country while living in it. This is worse than insulting someone when you are a guest in their home.

      4. A couple of days ago, defacto prez Biden publicly stated that he is considering to give Ukraine long range missiles. Such weapons would have the range to hit Russia.

Next day, Putin announces annexation of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia, into Russia. The Kremlin warned that Ukrainian attacks against any of the annexed regions including Crimea, would be considered aggression against Russia itself. In his speech, Putin said Russia would defend its new territory with all the means at its disposal.

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council and a former Russian president and prime minister, threatened that the US and its allies would pay the ultimate price if Russia is forced to retreat.

“Attempts to restore Russia’s 1991 borders will lead only to one thing — a global war with Western countries with the use of our entire strategic (nuclear) arsenal against Kyiv, Berlin, London, and Washington. And against all other beautiful historic places that have long been included in the flight targets of our nuclear triad,” Medvedev wrote on Telegram, according to the Kyiv Independent.

None of the pundits, mainstream or podcasters, including Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, and Stew Peters, have mentioned a word.

      5. I have been warning about a long-range Russian/Chinese strategy for nearly 40 years. The West has not understood the extreme danger which stems from disarmament rather than Western rearmament. War is coming because the Soviet Union was not decisively defeated. It is rising again — allied with China. Apparently no one wants to see this truth.

      6. By Biden ignoring Putin, in the same manner that the moderator and many contributors to this blog do, people don’t hear the Russian propaganda, nor any arguments to dispute it. Now that Carlson has finally given voice to Putin’s long standing complaints, some obviously fallacious, and others which might seem reasonable, nobody has heard an objective reason for the United States to drive NATO to antagonize and provoke Russia. If you want to involve the people, you need to involve them in the debate. Chauvinistic dictates, even if the correct course of action, will be resented and ignored by the people. Only with a free and open discussion of all the facts and false assertions, can earn the support of the governed.

      7. Still, no facts from you Larisa — or profound insights. Just the usual ducking and weaving to avoid the truth. The U.S. is not antagonizing Russia. Ratter, we have enabled Russia and its ally China. Our nuclear arsenal is rotting away. Theirs is new and more advanced. That is our real provocation. WEAKNESS. So what is your counter to these facts? Silence. But I say you have to deal with the facts. But you won’t. You insist on fantastic conspiracy narratives to avoid reality. This blog is about the rising danger from Russia and China, and from their fifth column which dominates the Democratic Party and is gaining control of the Republicans. If you do not deal with these realities, and work with others to survive what is coming, then I am not to blame. I’ve done my duty on account of the knowledge that obligates me.

    2. Lira placed himself in the position he found himself in. Giving aid and comfort to the enemy, from within the country fighting that enemy, was stupid beyond belief. He announced he was going to violate the terms of his release and made it fairly easy to catch him just short of the border.

He was not, however murdered, or killed through neglect. He caught pneumonia in prison and was removed to a hospital for treatment of his illness. he passed despite the treatment, which is not uncommon for pneumonia.

Lira’s death was unremarkable. Nevalny was jailed for the purpose of killing him, unlike Lira.

      1. “Lira’s death was unremarkable.” Tell it to his family. Lira was an AMERICAN journalist who died in an Ukrainian prision for SPEAKING against the corrupt Ukrainian government, you know the same scum we are propping up. The fact NO ONE ON THIS BLOG will recognize these truths speaks volumes.

      2. But you are not telling any truths. You have it all twisted up, Joseph. All governments have “corruption.” This is not the real issue here. For a foreigner to go into a country that is fighting for its existence in a war, and to undermine that country’s war effort, is the act of an enemy. Lira was working for Russian victory. You yourself are admitting this. Therefore he was a hero for Russia. Fine. Put up a monument to him — in Russia. But I am an American who sees Ukraine — corrupt or not — barring my enemy’s path to my country’s doorstep. No American soldiers are dying in this war. I would prefer this to remain so. But Americans will die if Ukraine falls. As I see it, Lira did not do anything to defend my country. So I am not celebrating him as a hero. Let the friends of Moscow do that. I want my country protected against what I know is coming. You, on the other hand, are blinded by hatred.

      3. Some background on Gonzalo. He was an opportunist and a grifter, he first started out as an economic expert, then reinvented himself as “dating” expert –that’s what he was doing in Ukraine before the invasion– and finally overnight became a military expert/journalist. Now in light of Navalny’s murder he is a martyr. His death is one of many whataboutisms that Russian propagandists bring up to deflect from the Kremlin’s latest crime. Now that Carlson is on record saying that “governments kill people all the time” will he walk back his moralistic hissy fit about Gonzalo’s supposed murder? Not likely. Propagandists are not capable of having a consistent moral position.

Gonzalo Lira was NOT a Journalist – Jake Broe
“… When Russia invaded Ukraine, the sex tourism industry in Ukraine collapsed and Gonzalo decided to start promoting Russian propaganda online in order to make money.”
Broe has a video clip of Gonzalo’s pre-war “dating advice” ie. how to take advantage of weak and damaged women. Pretty vile. This is the great journalistic mind that Russian propagandists are screeching about.

        https://twitter.com/P_Kallioniemi/status/1642130636466008067
He was of Chilean Marxist backround, a dual citizen. He was not arrested for criticizing Zelensky, as Carlson falsely claimed, but for justifying the invasion and propagandizing for Russia while his host country was under attack. In 2022 he was first arrested for taking photos of confidential military positions in Kharkiv. He was given the option of being deported, but apparently he never left, or came back, and was arrested a 2nd time. He went on to violate the conditions of his bail which is how he ended up in prison where he contacted pneumonia. He brought this on himself.

      4. When a country is at war, foreigners who are helping the enemy are often jailed for the duration. Lira was walking around unmolested through much of the war even though he was caught spying for the Russians and told to leave the country. He did not leave. Amazing. And as for what killed him, his heavy smoking probably had something to do with it.

      5. One other thing about Lira. He was an American citizen and America is the biggest benefactor of Ukraine. The Ukrainian government had no reason to mistreat him, rather the opposite, and if anything, he was handled with kid gloves. It wasn’t until the summer of 2023, after he violated his bail, that he was put in jail. He was able to spew harmful propaganda with barely any consequences for a year and a half.

    3. Why do you think a Communist deserves an answer? We all know you don’t care about any innocent suffering human beings whatsoever. You have zero right to demand anything. The people you shill for are pure evil, and that makes you evil too for whitewashing their crimes.

  6. Harsh, but true, words spoken by the man who should be British Prime Minister, but sadly isn’t, Jacob Rees-Mogg:

  7. NAVALNY LAST LETTERS WARNED OF TRUMP RETURN:

In Navalny’s last letters, the Russian dissident called Trump’s agenda for a second term ‘really scary’

    https://www.businessinsider.com/navalny-death-letters-trump-second-term-agenda-really-scary-2024-2

ALSO, I BRIEFED JEFF ON THIS THE OTHER DAY. HE WAS PRETTY TICKED OFF ABOUT IT, AS I WAS ALSO:

Trump talks with Gabbard about U.S. defense, reflecting isolationist approach:

The discussions are part of a broader internal conversation about how Trump would manage the Pentagon differently if he wins a second term

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/2024/02/14/tulsi-gabbard-trump-defense/

    SECONDARY SOURCE:

Here’s What Trump Discussed With Tulsi Gabbard.

    https://thenationalpulse.com/2024/02/14/heres-what-trump-discussed-with-tulsi-gabbard/

    1. Hey Wade Queen, FYI, your report/post/links here prove that Trump is still ignorant as to who he confides in. Tulsi Gabbard was listed a while back in the collection of “Young Global Leaders” at the World Economic Forum. It’s been removed now but last entry was from 2021. She’s not to be trusted. But Trump is an idiot when it comes to who he can trust, just as was the case during his last time in office as Prez.
Gabbard is a Communist who portrays a new “conservative” and Republican Party loyalist nowadays. Laughable.

      1. Just some additional information on Tulsi Gabbard. I agree that she is a far leftist and is not to be trusted. I think that her childhood with the Science of Identity cult and Chris Butler is not a good sign and raises some red flags for me.

    2. Isolationism is foolishness for the US. The US has the economic position it has because the isolationists were discredited in 1941 and the US able to trade for the stuff it needs. if the US becomes isolationist, the US can kiss its economy good bye.

The MAGAt faction of MAGA whines about the bases the US maintains around the world, but if the US becomes isolationist, the effects will have those same MAGAts whining that they have been impoverished. If it weren’t for the fact that most of us will be impoverished, I would laugh at them when it happens.

Those bases exist for good and necessary reasons.

  8. Do you think the death of Navalny happened so closely to the interview with Tucker Carlson to make him look like a collaborator? Which we know that he is of course, but to rub it into his image, to make him even more entangled?

I have also heard professor Valeriy Solovey saying, that Aleksey Navalny was poisoned in prison by a newly developed poison which causes blood vessel spasms. Something different from Novichok.

    1. Valentina: Yes, you are right. Psychologically this action against Navalny binds Carlson to Moscow all the more. Why? Because to disentangle himself from the Kremlin he must acknowledge that he has blood on his hands. This is hard to do. Carlson would have to see himself as the media stooge of a mass murderer. I fear he will go further into the darkness before admitting any such thing.

      1. So Tucker killed Navalny by interviewing Putin? By that logic, you’re destroying America and killing the Ukrainian people by supporting the failed and corrupt Zelensky and his corrupt regime.

        SAD

      2. Joseph: you need a course on logic and evidence. And you need a little honesty. I never said Tucker killed Navalny. I said he bears some of the responsibility as Putin’s enabler. He has put himself in the position of justifying Navalny’s murderer before the world. Please stop playing the moral idiot.

      3. Tucker Carlson is a Russian shill. Would not be surprised if he was bought and paid for. He attempts to explain his inept abilities in journalism via this question and answer of his idiotic capitulation of an “interview” with the ruthless dictator and KGB officer Putin. Putin punked Carlson.

Carlson babbles about leaders kill all the time but he never concedes that this leader has killed and or imprisoned anyone who opposes him. Hence, Carlson’s softball interview. Name one leader in the West who has done either.

        https://youtu.be/mMXikZM_O80?si=NQDT7TaLma6LddgH

      4. Yes, when you watch this interview you see Carlson representing America as a dirty country where there is diminishing free speech. Russia, he says, is much cleaner and better. He does not dare say Russia is freer, but many will assume that from what Carlson said. He does not mention communism. He does not mention the journalist’s killed by Putin’s thugs. He does not describe the Ukraine war in terms of unprovoked Russian military aggression. Therefore he wants to know what the more effective leader — Vladimir Putin —thinks, especially since the war in Ukraine is wrecking the US economy. Of course, the war is not wrecking our country. It’s a propaganda lie. Listening to him is like listening to someone sing off key. A manifold and subtle misrepresentation of political reality, largely by exaggeration and omission. So Carlson is pushing misinformation on the right while even more disoriented people are pushing national suicide on the left. We are being offered different flavors of poison. This is a terrible situation.

      5. IMO Carlson is very close to acts of treason with what he espouses every time he speaks now. It’s obvious to some of us that he’s pro Russia, pro Putin. Much like his fellow former Faux News host Clayton Morris and his wife Natali, as well as Andrew Napolitano. They all spew Russian propaganda.

      6. He said he believes one’s views should change when the evidence changes…he also says Trump played no role whatsoever.

      7. If you think of it, there is an implied pressure on Trump. I keep wondering if Trump can go against Carlson’s narrative. Does that narrative lock Trump in? Any thoughts?

      8. In other words, if it Trump feels he is more popular by going with Carlson’s narrative, then that is what he will do. Or, if enough people suddenly wake up to reality, and Trump thinks it will endear him to more people by calling Tucker out, then he will.

I’m pretty sure it depends on popular sentiment for Trump.

      9. josephmadaris you are so wrong. Keep believing your hero T Carlson and all his Faux News buddies.
By your attacks on Jeff here, you illustrate, and are a great example of, all those lazy“conservative” Faux News voters out there who never research for oneself, only hear what your favorite media personalities spew and believe it as gospel. 😆

      10. Let’s not forget a real journalist still imprisoned in Russia by Vladimir Putin. Wall Street Journal’s Evan Gershkovich. No nuts journalist Tucker Carlson be damned.

      11. The timing of his death is not a coincidence so soon after Carlson’s interview. They milked Tucker for all the support they could, got the interview, got him praising the economy, had him do some Arab tv conference acting like he was the Putin whisperer, and then bam! An obvious murder. The purpose is to bind the entire American Right to Putin and to associate the Right with Putin as a murderer – hence why the two events were so closely linked. CNN is now pumping out articles about how the entire American Right is pro-Russia. The only purpose of killing Navalny is to make Putin’s image toxic in Western circles, or to retoxify it since it had been a while since he’d murdered a big opponent. This gives him a fresh stink, which they can then waft on to Russia’s main opposition, conservatives. Tucker, after preening after his interview, and saying how Putin doesn’t really want war, all of a sudden looks like an idiot after the image of Putin the Murderer comes into fresh focus again. He is like a political prostitute they used and discarded for maximum gain.

As a side note, I have no idea why we tolerate what are clearly Russian paid FSB bootlickers, who constantly attempt to shill for their murderous owners by flinging any random accusation after another.

A Communist deserves nothing. No debate, no respect, no assumption of decency, no assumption that they are moral. Communists look at you as bugs to squash in their quest for power. Imagine treating them as honest, good faith debaters. They have single-handedly caused the greatest misery, suffering, and death in human history. Larissa, Hacker, Shipwreck, all of theee FSB bootlickers deserve zero engagement and only swift bannings. If they had power over you, they’d throw you in a deep dungeon.

    2. Back in 2023, when Carlson was still at Fox, Konstantin Kisin wanted to debate Carlson on the Ukraine war. But Carlson’s producer made it clear that the host was not interested in having a discussion on Ukraine. If Kisin kept pressing the issue he risked never being invited back on the biggest show in America. This is not surprising now, but it shows that Carlson’s commitment to the Kremlin party line is likely not a new development stemming from his recent trip to Russia. He is just being more open about his loyalties now. Carlson had no intention of being objective, but for as long as he could get away with it, he played the truth-seeking journalist before millions of viewers. But whenever he was called out for inaccurate reporting, he flipped to being an advocate rather than a journalist. Now after landing the brand-building (hat tip to Gussack) interview with Putin, he wants to once again be seen as the brave, independent, truth-seeking journalist. In Contemplative Observer’s video above, he claims that he changes his opinions based on new evidence. Yet when it comes to Russia, he stubbornly ignores a mountain of evidence so he can keep pretending that Russia is a good country, and Putin a good leader. He is not just a hypocrite, he is probably paid by Russia and certainly has staked his career on building up its image in America.

To develop Jeff’s point above further, Carlson publicly tying himself to a mass murderer in a way that’s hard to walk back could psychologically extend to his supporters. They all justified his Russia trip and softball interview calling it “real journalism”, are they going to suddenly reverse course and call it a bad idea because Putin had his rival murdered a week later? Or will they follow their hero Carlson and dig in deeper? With these subtle machinations, the Kremlin is getting the MAGA crowd to justify worse behavior than they would ever accept from a Democrat president. The real problem will be when this pro-Russia radicalism seeps in at the top and begins to influence Trump’s behavior and policies, not just his soundbites. Going by his interest in Gabbard’s views that may already be happening.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPwMLAv6wWg
Freddie Sayers and Konstantin Kisin: What happened to Tucker Carlson?

They are being too generous here in saying that some new things were learned from the interview, therefore Carlson’s interview of Putin was useful.

      https://www.konstantinkisin.com/p/tucker-carlson-and-the-woke-right

      1. Lauraz: It is too generous to say that we learned something from the interview. Carlson is an opinion leader. He is guiding millions of Americans to take a view on Putin damaging to America.

      2. I disagree with Nevin and others that Carlson is willfully lying for his “career”. If that’s what he was after, he could have been far more successful simply spouting the leftist line. No, he is essentially a dumb frat boy – watch his interview with Gavin Mcginness. He is essentially a fun person to be around, was born into wealth, but underneath it all was trying to say what he believed.

The problem, as Jeff has said, is that he probably only does surface level analysis, so “what he believes” is garbage. You have to understand there is nothing more powerful to create, from the FSB’s perspective, than an influential, sincere good person who has become successfully tricked into supporting evil. There is no bribe to make or secrets to hide – it all happens automatically. Watch some of Tucker’s speeches before these random book clubs or conservative Republican Party clubs in California. He is not some cynical opportunist, just not a deep thinker – his belief system has been hijacked and he has done tremendous damage as a result.

  9. Jeff,
Re: US nukes, I have a brother-in-law working for one of the contractors building nuclear bomb components, and he told me over Christmas that they are now at Cold War levels of production, or at least at a level not seen since the end of the Cold War – I forget the exact wording. From my conversation with him it sounds like despite all the dysfunction and foolishness in the political sphere, there are people taking things seriously and quietly working with all deliberate speed to prepare us for a potential war. BIL is more or less mainstream conservative but otherwise not particularly interested in politics and I wasn’t talking politics with him – the main point of the conversation had to do with how his job is going and potential career paths for yours truly, so it kind of came out as background.

I was somewhat encouraged, and I hope you will be too.

    1. Well, I hope that’s true. The 2022 Strategic Posture Committee was all about how we are going to have to face a combined Russian-Chinese nuclear threat at the same time. In other words, deter two nuclear arsenals that will each be as large as ours in less than two years. In 2020 Admiral Richard said we will not have a new strategic nuclear weapon before 2029 unless a lot of money was poured into the program to speed it up. From what I’ve seen, Congress alocated a small increase. Meanwhile, Biden canceled two tactical nuclear weapons and the only bombs I’ve heard about is the nuclear gravity bombs that are being made. The numbers do not seem to be Cold War production numbers. Because in those days we were making thousands of weapons per year. I hope you have good information.

      1. Well, I believe the parts, or least least most of them, are destined for refurbishing and modernizing existing warheads rather than new production. I don’t know what that entails, nor does my brother-in-law (information is VERY tightly compartmentalized, and no one there even knows what the parts they are making do). However, he says that they have greatly picked up the pace over the last year.

In the absence of new production, modernizing our existing stock of warheads does represent an expansion of our nuclear capability. How that translates into actual deterrence depends on what exactly our enemies worry about, I guess.

      1. Yes, the discussion with Nevon was the most impactful for me. Know you two were talking of politicians, business leaders, etc. – the movers and shakers – when you said people “just don’t care” about where our nation is heading. But, I can speak for the average person on the street. When realities of our nation are broached in conversation, there is a quick shutdown, no matter how gently one wades into the discussion. People just don’t want to hear it or talk about it because it’s just too stressful or too negative. Many say they don’t tune into news at all anymore for these reasons. People’s emotional and mental bandwidth are just maxed out, I guess. It’s discouraging….

And, although I live in a large Midwest city, I spend alot of time in upper Midwest with elderly family, in the middle of cow country, which has always been a very homogenous German and Scandinavian area, where people live all their lives. But, definite demographic changes seen now. People from mid east/central Asia, Africa, China, and of course, S America. Latinos r more families, interactive and friendly. Other groups are definitely mainly men and not overly friendly, shall we say. I’m very concerned this will not go well, at some point. The invasion is very well planned and being dispersed thoroughly in more rural, smaller communities, too. I had thought this would be a bit safer when things go challenging, but I don’t believe that anymore.

    1. I agree – I thought the passion from Jeff was quite powerful. The Right does not employ moral outrage enough and it is a powerful weapon that resonates with the human soul.

The one thing I’ll disagree with Jeff on is that I don’t think Tucker should have refused the interview – I think he should have accepted and then asked actual brave questions, such as whether Putin would like to apologize for the murders of Anna Politkovskaya or Litvinenko, or whether Putin would like to resign over the apartment bombings – questions that would have taken actual guts and would most likely have gotten Tucker his own batch of polonium tea from the FSB as retaliation. THAT would have been real courage, but I doubt Tucker even knows the book Blowing Up Russia exists.

  10. One thing about what kind of deterrent weapon Israel used to avert one of the missile attacks from either the north or east (but not from Hamas from Gaza) and there was some kind of laser weapon involved.

If they can produce a laser shield that would not allow any ICBM through, that would make the nuclear warfare practically obsolete, but this is only a subjective opinion, so there might not be any weight to it. But the fact that Israel used it successfully has been reported.

    ——-
To add to what has been said so far about Mr. Carlson – his work now adds to the communist propaganda weapon, which is intended to demoralize the enemy population and cause morale decay among the people, and perhaps even the military, of the targeted country.

Bezmenev spoke about this, at least he was honest enough to make it known. But to them it is an important strategy, and since Mr. Carlson is so anxious to oblige the Kremlin with his journalistic services, that alone serves them well to accomplish at least some of that strategy as well.

But one day he may find himself in disfavor and on both sides and that day will be decisive for him, because in case of the American side he has practically nothing to fear and just quit and do something else, but in case the KGB run Russia – there are many graves with no names on them, and there are many people who have “disappeared” and have not been heard from again, in that country. And the Gulags are still there…

  11. The world considers that the righteous are not worthy to live in the world, and God declares the world is not worthy of the righteous.

The bright examples that went before us had a faith and hope that pleased God. They believed what God said, they earnestly seeked Him and worshiped Him daily, obeyed His warnings, walked by faith where He called them to go, not looking back. They were faithful when God tested them, they had no fear of man or the Kings anger. They were aliens and strangers on earth that would rather be mistreated, persecuted, stoned, in prison with the people of God than enjoy the pleasures of sin and worldly treasures. They regarded Christ as greater value than all the world had to offer. They sacrificed, persevered, focused on the unseen, conquered Kingdoms, administered justice, shut the mouths of lions, escaped the sword, quenched fiery flames, turned from weakness to strength, became powerful in battle, routed foreign armies, the dead was raised back to life (Heb 11).
God was with them through it all. God did it then and He can do it all again. God never changes. Follow His word, His way, His spirits lead-not the worlds.
May we have the obedience of faith, patience in hope and labour in love, like the bright examples of those who went before us in true faith.

We have been under attack and in an obvious war for our lives and country since 2001, no one is coming to save us, it will only get worse and lawlessness, deception, famine and disease will abound. We are dealing with soulless demons, pure unrestrained evil out to kill, steal and destroy. May Gods spirit and power be poured out over us all, may our faith be increased to be obedient to His word and call. Keep Fighting the good fight of faith for your families.
Now’s not the time to shrink back, we are created to run through this fire.
    Thanks Jeff,
    God Bless You!

  12. Carlson appears to be exonerating Putin in an interview with Glenn Beck: https://twitter.com/glennbeck/status/1760091968661487898

It seems most conservatives in the West are incurable superficialists, taking everything at face value, never digging deeper, never doing their homework. Putin says he’s a Christian, so he must be. Putin makes patriotic sounding noises, so he must be a conservative. I have even seen a meme of him represented as Captain America. You could not make this stuff up. Western conservatives are institutionally stupid.

    1. They have forgotten the warning given by Patrick Henry.

“It is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts.”

    2. Quietman: It’s funny how major figures, like Putin and Carlson, can blatantly contradict themselves as they talk — and nobody calls them on the carpet for contradicting themselves. And it;’s not just about inconsistency. There is something dishonest about having things both ways. At the beginning of this Glenn Beck interview with Carlson, we hear Carlson say that he is not pro-Putin. Then he says his real motivation is that he “just wants to know what is happening there” [i.e., in Russia and Ukraine]. So then, he is going to find out what is “happening” by talking to the dictator Putin. He assumes Putin is going to tell him the truth. Very odd. And then he complains that nobody has explained to him why we are “at war with Russia.” And this is very odd, because we are not at war with Russia. Right? Russia is at war with Ukraine. So Carlson takes us on this mad merry-go-round where he can say things that are untrue as if they are true. And he will get additional truths from Putin that he cannot get from informed sources in Ukraine or the West.

Carlson says he has “very straightforward motives,” so we are left to wonder whether he is an unintelligent person, incapable of serious reflection, or whether he is holding out on us. He is worried about America going backrupt because of the war in Ukraine, but the insignficant amount of money spent on Ukraine consists in less than one penny of your tax dollars and debt. So what is he talking about?

And there is this inability — on the part of Beck and Carlson — to identify the enemy which is foreign and domestic. The word “communism” or “communist subversion” is not in their vocabulary. The fact that we have socialists and communists near the top of the Western governments somehow requries separate treatment when in fact it’s the same problem as the one we face from Moscow and Beijing.

And then there is that wierd bit about Boris Johnson, where Carlson blames Johnson for all the people dying in Ukraine. But the thing that really floored me was Carlson’s statement that there is a war in Ukraine because Biden wanted a war in Ukraine. He then brings up this claim that our vice president, who may or may not be sober, said we wanted Ukraine to join NATO — which was not remotely in prospect. We cannot even get Sweden into NATO because of the veto of one country.

About Navalny, Carlson says, “I’m not that interested.” Then he calls people “idiots” for suggesting that Putin had Navalny killed. I don’t understand, given the 80 plus journalists and media workers murdered in Russia during Putin’s rule. And then there are the murdered opposition figures in Russia like Sergei Yushenkov, Brois Nemtsov, Anna Politkovskaya, Alexander Litvinenko, Yevgeny Prigozhin — and the fact that Putin’s special services were tasked with killing Navalny a few years back (and almost succeeded). So who is the idiot for thinking Putin had Navalny murdered? In what does this idiocy consist? But Carlson thinks these are the same idiots who “think Ukraine can win.” Carlson said, “They are just so ignorant.” Russia has 100 million more people than Ukraine.

But then, Israel has been even more outnumbered by the Arabs. Yet Israel is still standing after several wars.

I have to say, Carlson is not very smart. He is not well educated. A strong back is a terrible thing to waste. His missed his calling.

      1. There is also the probability that Carlson’s latest utterings are deigned to save face because, surely at some primal level, he knows he has acted as an apologist for a callous murderer. Or am I attributing too much self-analysis to him?

But yes, the fact that the “c-word” (communism) is absent from his lexicon is, itself, a damning indictment on his career. He gets conservatives wound up about all manner of lesser issues, but not the elephant in the room. One could be forgiven for imagining that perhaps his role is the purveyance of limited hangouts and misdirection. Or that his obtuseness is allowed free rein in the knowledge that it will naturally yield those outcomes. Either way, he is another pied piper leading conservatives into disarming dead-ends.

      2. He is not smart – I have said this before and it bears repeating, but the American conservative hierarchy is not designed to reward intelligence and discernment, but courage. Tucker became popular mainly after Biden’s *election* for being the “bravest” one to call him out, a very low bar at that time. Conservative figures that are elevated are usually the ones willing to criticize the most and take the most flak. But it does not take discernment or deep thinking to be rewarded. That’s why we get so many bizarre figures who are not that intellectual, like Glenn Beck, who had his run during Obama’s reign, or Tucker, or Gaetz, or Trump. Conservatives are so mentally battered they support whoever is the most willing to bark the loudest at their oppressors.

      1. He considers himself a serious journalist, and yet he let’s such blatant, obvious contradictions get by him, even as he contradicts himself.

      2. Grey, Peter Zeihan points out that Carlson himself said, while on Fox, that he was no journalist. I would agree with Carlson’s statement. Zeihan nails the man to the wall.

    1. It’s highly possible that it’s the same person. If not, it’s definitely the same immoral organization.

    2. What jurisdiction was she present in when she was arrested? When one engages in Lawful civil disobedience, one had better exercise the Second Article of The Bill Of Rights. God’s Law can not be changed. The Bill Of Rights is God’s Law. It’s not a wish list. Rather it serves notice to aspiring tyrants of what it is the responsibility of the People to defend. The Second Article states the means. When the US Military and/or local law enforcement attempts to go door to door in attempt to confiscate firearms, politicians would be wise to be hiding in bunkers. The USA Freedom Act is unconstitutional. Just because nobody has thus far realized any personal damage from it, does not mean that Government will get away with such infringement when the People find out.

      1. You trying to make me feel radicalized like your comrade Tucker?? Lol, my principles go the the bone marrow, and need no incitement from sly-tongued snakes like you. *You* will find out when you come face to face with a clear eyed, red-blooded American.

        *If* you have the balls.

      2. I have probably deleted close to 80 posts from Larisa and Knhacker this week. I delete their posts because these people are not honest. They offer no valid information, no reasonable arguments when challenged. In the end, they name-call and insinuate I am a fascist or agent of the government. I think they have made their opinion clear. We know what they think but will never know why because they cannot explain anything without distorting the facts or citing spurious stories. And we know that they have very poor reasoning skills. If they were intelligent, I would find it interesting and challenging to discuss any subject with them. Something might be learned, in that case. But there’s no sport in arguing with people who cannot frame an argument properly.

      3. A communist quoting the Bill of Rights does make for a rather unpleasant stench. If they had their druthers, they’d throw all their opposition into shallow graves, after a friendly “interrogation” and “confession” of course.

      4. Yes. It is unfuriating to read, knowing that they of all people have no regard for people who defend themselves -such as the Ukranians. And no regard for human life. And yet they will try to play mind games with us as though they cherish these “rights”- which I regard more as duties.

    1. This is unfortunate, they have two carriers that don’t move, and now missiles that may not be reliable. The UK needs to get their act together, I know they are trying because I have friends there. They are trying to get ready.

The PLA is clearly inserting sleeper cells of special forces and/or mercenaries into the USA under cover of the migrant tsunami.

    1. They are doing it to make for a violent election year; by enemy design of course. Just think of how they could manipulate and control the migrants via their relatives in their homeland.

      1. To live in a country that is filling up with foreigners who broke the law to be here…. It is not a feeling of security or safety. And then we are going broke and our health system is coming apart. The country was once safe and prosperous. But such, we are told, is a racist country. We must admit anyone who comes to the border or they charge us with Nazism. And who is telling us this? Marxists. And who benefits? Moscow and Beijing.

  14. Thanks to Victor and Thomas for talking to Jeff. One hour of good information.
Victor has a dire warning about the coming Police State in the USA. He talks about China buying farms in Mato Grosso and stealing their women. Rumo Logistica railway project is underway to expand exports and send it to the Intermodal Facility in Santos. The Bolsonaro
news is sad. I hope Victor and Thomas will update us soon. Thanks.

  15. Thanks to Quietman’s reference, I just watched Glenn Beck interviewing Tucker Carlson. What a disaster, also with regard to Glenn Beck himself (who isn’t a solid conservative, but rather a live-and-let-live libertarian). And here Glenn Beck is totally closing ranks with Tucker Carlson, apart from more or less this one objection where he actually tells Carlson that he didn’t ask any hard questions to Putin (which, for a moment, immensely irritates Carlson).

My sober résumé: Here were two media celebrities, both vain and certainly pursuing their financial interests, lauding and praising and endorsing each other, without so much as caring for the truth. Anatoliy Golitsyn’s prediction that conservatives would one day become an endangered species is coming true in an unexpected way: The so-called “Right” has been totally hijacked and the witch-hunt against genuine, informed, anti-communist conservatives is about to be conducted from this deluded faux Right as much as from the Left. A clear case of the scissors blades closing!

If one thoroughly goes through what Tucker Carlson is saying here, it’s all dishonest evasions and self-justifications. And instead of attacking his critics, he’d better sit down and watch himself on video: His totally immature behaviour; his shallow American isolationism; his over-the-top vanity (he seems to be mightily proud of his laughable haircut). Tucker Carlson seems to consider himself a man of character, of brilliance and importance. Sadly, he is worse than a nullity.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64r6ko9o51o

    1. It’s strange that Carlson should say he is against incompetent, stupid, nasty people being in charge. What makes him so righteous on this score?

    2. I just watched about half of it, and could bear no more. Does Tucker even think about what he says? He talks so fast, he might not.

He said that we are in a war with Russia. Is he delusional??

Then Beck said unto regards to the Russia-Ukraine war and Biden’s rhetoric in respect to it, “This is a game being played where we don’t have the information of what the real game is.”

Oh, but we do, Beck, if you would get out of your self-congratulating, false-Conservative club and do a little looking into things.

Carlson said the domestic policies of Russia and Ukraine “are of little interest” to him.

Really?? Then why did he say he wanted to get “Putin’s side” of the war, and why does he attack Ukrainian leadership?

Beck at one point said, that it’s not “us” versus Nazis, or “us” versus Democrats, but rather, “It’s the people in each free country in the West against…I’m not sure yet what it is, but against a really nasty blob up at the top that has their own designs on the world, and their own plans on the world”, and that he hasn’t found a Winston Churchill anywhere in the world.

He came sooo close, without realizing it, didn’t he?? Danced all around the seemingly banned “C” word.

I would submit to Beck, that while we may not have a Winston Churchill, we do have the equivalent of the British as they resisted the Nazi Blitz every night for almost three months.

These guys are so soft, so comfortable, so self-assured and smug.

Beck said that a real journalist talk to everyone, gets all sides.

Why won’t they look into the Marxist subversion side? Why don’t they look into the disinformation and propaganda put out from Russia throughout the past 100+ years?

They’ll look into every modern conspiracy theory and feel-good opinion, but they won’t look at a little bit of Soviet history.

There are no words to describe the frustration they cause one to feel.

      1. JN: …Putin’s special services were tasked with killing Navalny a few years back (and almost succeeded). So who is the idiot for thinking Putin had Navalny murdered?

In this interview, Masha Gessen talks about the attempted poisoning. After he recovered, Navalny went on to make a documentary in which he actually talked with one of the would-be assassins. Of course, Tucker the know-it-all has no clue about this, along with the 80+ dissidents and journalists that Putin had killed.
        https: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLX-eqZ8fb0

And if Carlson thinks that people who think Ukraine can win are idiots, what about military experts who have been saying that Ukraine will fall “any day now” for two years. Those are the only people he invites on his show. Apparently, an idea is only idiotic if Carlson disagrees with it.

GreyKnight: Beck said that a real journalist talk to everyone, gets all sides.

I wonder if that was a dig at Carlson.
I don’t have time to listen to the interview, and from what I’m reading here it would be a waste of time anyway. I remember more than a year ago here someone posted a video in which Beck was warning conservatives about embracing Putin. He was explaining how Dugin’s Eurasianist philosophy is not conservative, and cautioning people against taking Putin’s supposed Christianity at face value. It seems he’s had quite the turn-around in the last year with regards to Russia. This is the corrosive effect that Carlson’s celebrity is having on conservative thought. At the end of the day, all the big names in conservative media are just that, big names. And like big name Hollywood celebrities, they all follow each other lest they fall behind or fall out of fashion. I worry that Trump is part of this group too. Even if he is the last one to follow, he will eventually fall in line.

GreyKnight: Carlson said the domestic policies of Russia and Ukraine “are of little interest” to him.

Is that why he travelled to Russia to admire their grocery stores and subway? While making out America to be a cesspit and economic basket case? He really doesn’t think about anything he says. He just says what sounds good in the moment, or whatever will allow him to win the argument if he is pressed to give an answer. In a way, a person who only lives in the moment cannot be contradicting himself. But then, Carlson puffs up his chest and pretends to be a “serious journalist”, a man of character, yet he is never held to account for his blatant lies, contradictions and omissions. Just as he gave Putin a softball interview, Beck returns the favor to Carlson. I wonder how long Carlson can continue the Honest Everyman act. Eventually people will notice that his calculated dishonesty and arrogance doesn’t quite match up to his famously befuddled “Huh?!” face.

      2. In regards to the Tucker grocery store trip, I have seen this trick played a lot. Tucker sees clean subway and cheap groceries and thinks that proves Russia is better than America, not realizing Russia is the reason we have unsafe subways and skyrocketing inflation. This trick of blaming America for something Russia caused inside of America and then using that to support Russia is a very common tactic they use all the time.

  16. Piers Morgan has interviewed Mikhail Khodorkovsky the other day (I always wonder why none of these journalists ever thinks of asking THE million-dollar question, pun intended, how Khodorkovsky came to be the “richest man of Russia”, in the first place). The interview is interesting in that it possibly tells at least as much about Khodorkovsky himself as about Vladimir Putin or Alexei Navalny or Tucker Carlson.

    1. I saw that interview, and I was also wondering the same thing. Wouldn’t it be something if Khodorkovsky came out and explained how overnight he became the richest man in Russia. My guess is that telling the truth about this would be dangerous to his health. Also, he has a reputation now as one of Putin’s biggest critics. I doubt he would want to jeopardize that by admitting that he wasn’t the financial whiz kid people thought he was, and that his wealth was actually handed down to him by the KGB. He might believe that coming out now would do more harm than good to the Russian dissident movement, which he probably genuinely supports.

I expected something more significant to be said about Navalny’s murder or the Tucker interview. Instead nothing particularly remarkable came out. According to Khodorkovsky, Tucker’s interview was useful because we learned more about Putin’s views on the war –but we already knew all that. Out of all the journalists in the world right now, Carlson was in the unique position to ask some tough questions. He’s too famous to suffer the fate of Navalny, as Khodorkovsky suggests, because the whole point was to build up Putin’s image with American conservatives. The interview was not live, and the worst that could have happened would be for Putin to stop the interview, seize the tapes, and boot Tucker out of the country.

  17. Tucker’s comment on killers reminds me of Trump’s answer to Bill o Reilly when he confronted Trump on some Putin quote he’d made. Bill said Putin’s a killer and Trump said “there’s a lot of killers. You think our country’s so innocent?”

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ExmYDvQDbl0

Now, Trump’s motivation was different in my opinion. He was trying to negotiate with Russia and work out some kind of deal if he got elected President, so when Bill says that, all he was thinking about was not offending Putin if he had to negotiate with him in the future. But it was still a horrific moral equivalency to make.

Bill O’Reilly, for all his faults, was of the old school Cold Warrior bent, and never forgot the enemy status of Russia, I always thought he was an effective opponent of the Communists, it was his ego and his philandering, coupled with what was almost certainly an operation, that took him down.

  18. The traditionalist-Catholic website, TraditionInAction.org, just published – to their credit – an article about Aleksandr Dugin, in which the man’s true underlying mindset is thankfully exposed: unmitigated communism. The author may be confusing cause and effect as for Dugin’s role in the political thought of contemporary “Russia”, but nevertheless he can see, and lets his readers see, the elephant in the room: a through-and-through communist, in fact neo-Stalinist (thus, pseudo-nationalist), mindset that has its eyes fixed, like in the old Soviet days, on communist world dominion – whatever its current packaging…

Maybe somebody would want to e-mail this weblink to Catholic blogger Ann Barnhardt, who too has completely lost herself in the wilderness of Soviet propaganda (sadly, she appears to be stubborn as hell…).

    https://traditioninaction.org/HotTopics/j130_Rus-4.htm

    1. Barnhardt is another example of a person who fundamentally wants to do good but is hopelessly deceived. I have heard her do an entire episode on the “Freemasonic” roots of America and how it is the secret cabal behind everything today. It’s a shame because she somehow understands China is planning an invasion, but hasn’t put the Russia piece together.

  19. Again, a cargo ship has rammed a bridge in China, killing several people. Are these incidents symbolic of the possible fate of the PRC’s Belt and Road Initiative? No belts, no roads? Just wondering…

      1. Loved it!… They promised Africa school for kids in exchange for oil and minerals. Africa is still waiting for those schools, maybe there is a shortage of sand now to build them.

    1. No, that’s just a large river barge bringing down a bridge.

What is symbolic of the possible fate of PRC’s Belt and Road initiative is the Chinese tofu-dreg construction—there are projects before they are even finished are already crumbling.

  20. HEY EVERYONE. HEADS UP. GO TO DRUDGE REPORT. SOMETHING WEIRD, AND MAYBE OMINOUSLY, IS GOING ON, IN BIG RED LETTER ALERTS:

    CELL OUTAGE HITS AT&T NATIONWIDE
    VERIZON, T-MOBILE AFFECTED
    911 CRASHES
    ‘WORLD IS ENDING’
    SOLAR FLARE?

    1. Very possible they were testing a kill switch for the Internet in the US. There may come a day when even small pleasures like commenting here will come to an end, friends, let’s appreciate it while it still exists.

  21. I’ve read many comments here and I liked many of them. It’s strange that Russia created Palestine and has been trying since 1920’s/1930’s and Israel was created by Stalin and Czechoslovakia which supported with many weapons the Israeli army in the end of the 1940’s. Many or all leaders of Israel were born in the Russian Empire or were communists and socialists. By the way the politicians who used to run Israel during its previous wars with Hamas and Hezbollah were actually puppets of the Russian mafia. This is a great Russian scheme of manipulating both sides of the conflict. The Israeli mafia is controlled by the Russian mafia so the politicians that are controlled by the Israeli mobsters are hence indirect Russian puppets. I don’t know if you, M-r Nyquist, agree with this. For me, both sides of all conflicts on Earth are run by the Kremlin’s intelligence. Why? Because the UN is run by Kremlin, UN runs NATO and US army and hence all US interventions against the communists or later against the Chekist Islamists are directed by Moscow. When we talk about the Masons, the Italian masonic lodge P 2 was headed by Lucio Gelli – a KGB agent and that’s how, along with the socialists, fascists, the communists in Italy, Gaddafi and the Red Brigades, the USSR destabilized the southern flank of NATO. There were training camps in former USSR for infiltrating Masonic lodges in Italy. Moreover, the CIA servicemen in Italy were double agents of the KGB. By the way, KGB uses others of its own departments for foreign intelligence like the ones that have nothing to do with the intelligence activity. It is foolish to think that the bankers run the world because, like Olavo de Carvalho said, the bankers are under attack by the police agencies about what and how the bankers do. The other things he said is that Vasili Mitrokhin from 1972 to 1984 smuggled only 25 000 pages out of 8 BILLION (!) DOSSIERS. Not pages but dossiers! It was 40/50 years ago, imagine now. I will quote Olavo:”The KGB/FSB is the richest, the biggest and most secret organization the humanity has ever known.”

    1. I hate to inconvenience you Stefan. I realize that scholarship is a rigorous and tedious endeavor, but would you kindly please provide veracious citations to support each of the many unsubstantiated assertions which you make, and that Jeff neglects to challenge you on?

      1. A lying Communist lecturing others on “rigorous scholarship” or whining about censorship is a bit like Jeffrey Dahmer giving lessons on good dinner time etiquette. Can you please tell your bosses to assign us a fresh FSB stooge, we could use a change of propagandist.

      2. I’m just wondering how Stefan supposedly knows so much stuff about the KGB/FSB, if they are all so secret? It would be nice to be able to read more about it. Is that unfair?

      3. This must be an example of why you got fired as a journalist at World Net Daily.

      4. But I never worked as a journalist at WorldNetDaily. I was a columnist. And I was not “fired.” Though I thank you for showing your hand — enemy that you are.

      5. “Larisa”, I am curious – does it ever pang your conscience to spend your days polishing the boots of those who murdered fellow Russians? Do you feel shame or remorse after you collect your check for shilling for the most evil people in the world? Do you ever hear the cries of the dead Russians in the apartment bombings? Does it ever touch your soul or is your soul dead at this point?

    2. You are correct that however big we think the FSB’s influence is, it is probably far, far greater. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist, and similarly with the KGB. Meanwhile we hear how many paranoid deranged musings about the CIA.

I would disagree slightly with your implication that they control NATO fully – while they certainly try to control all sides, I do believe there are some instances where they do not achieve that goal, and I believe that is even more true the closer you get to matters of life and death. I do think there are some people in NATO who are true European patriots. Your overall point however, still stands.

      1. Perseus. You make a good correction for Stefan. The more you study this area the more you see that influence is not control. In fact, influence can fail at critical moments.

      2. Maybe I am partially wrong, I don’t know. I am pretty sure that there are plenty of honorable and good servicemen and high officers in NATO. But I am a little bit scared about the top leadership of this organization. I am not sure whether they are like the decent servicemen of NATO.

  22. Mr. Nyquist I want to thank you for what you are doing. I knew in my gut the way the right and left flipped on Russia was odd. You Jimmy Trevor Loudon and only a few others are the only ones on the right track. I believe your theory of what’s going on is correct. Keep it up we have a lot of people to wake up and little time to do it.

  23. I’ve already quoted one of my sources – the Brazilian philosopher Olavo de Carvalho. My other sources are books or reports. I don’t know whether Jeff ignores me or not but all my sources are serious. That’s it!

    1. You can disregard him/her/it, they were sent by the Russians to obscure the truth spoken here from inquiring minds.

Great discussion with Nevin. Can you tell us where John Mosier has published articles on his thoughts on the Russia-Ukraine war? Thank you and keep fighting the good fight!
