The activities of the false opposition will further confuse and undermine the genuine opposition in the communist world. Externally, the role of dissidents will be to persuade the West that the ‘liberalization’ is spontaneous and not controlled. ‘Liberalization’ will create conditions for establishing solidarity between … intellectuals in the communist and non-communist worlds.

Anatoliy Golitsyn, New Lies for Old

One of the keys to understanding Soviet and current Russian/Chinese strategy is KGB defector Anatoliy Golitsyn’s book, New Lies for Old. Golitsyn’s 1984 predictions about the coming Soviet bloc liberalization were remarkable at the time, and have escaped notice by the conservative press. Fox News has never discussed Golitsyn. Why not? Because the Russian special services engaged in a long-term effort to discredit Golitsyn and his CIA sponsor, James Angleton.

Golitsyn and Angleton were attacked publicly by William F. Buckley, Jr., which raises questions about Buckley’s intelligence and integrity. Even as Golitsyn’s predictions about a false liberalization in the Soviet Union were playing out in real time, the conservative establishment warned everyone against discussing Golitsyn’s remarkable 1984 book. WorldNetDaily even published a hit piece on Golitsyn, ten years ago, written by the aged Romanian intelligence defector Ion Pacepa. I took Pacepa to task for his error-ridden article, because the former communist spy chief did not know what he was writing about since he had obviously never read Golitsyn’s book. The editorial staff of WorldNetDaily also should have known better, since I had written extensively about Golitsyn on their site. Yet, it seems, they did not take anything I wrote seriously. Why? I would love to know what was going on behind the scenes in editorial offices among influential people. One begins to feel that writing about these subjects is a complete waste of time, since the Russians are always able to get their disinformation accepted. Now we are reaching a critical moment in the history of the West. If we fail to understand Russia and China’s grand strategy, we are going to fall. And this is no exaggeration.

Below is a big-picture discussion with Alex Benesch about Golitsyn and the communist bloc long range policy.

  1. Good afternoon, I’m very discouraged and lost about everything, living in a country (Brazil) that is embracing communism – even though many say that communism no longer exists – and having authors like you talking about this brings a little light in such a dark time.

    1. The truth is worth knowing, and is the one important thing, even if that truth seems discouraging at first blush. You have been given keys to understanding. What you do with that is up to you. The communists only win if everyone goes along with their lies, if everyone refuses to stand up against them. That means somebody somewhere has to resist them. The more the merrier. The communists are actually quite weak when confronted by people strong in the truth. They retreat into their usual lies and deceptions. Don’t let them do that.

The problem is that there are very few of us right now. As time goes on, everyone will see what the truth is. Everyone will be oblighed to resist. When does that moment happen? I do not know. But it will happen at some point.

When the whole game becomes obvious to everyone, running away to Miami will no longer be a choice; for the Cuban secret service is very strong in Miami, and they have murderous plans, and there is no safe place to run and hid in the last analysis.

What if Venezuela had stood up? What if nobody ran away to Miami? Was it even possible to successfully oppose Chavez back in the day. I do not know. The important thing is to spread the truth. This is all we have right now. If there is to be a better tomorrow, the truth must be preserved and understood.

The situation is Brazil is bleak. And the country will have to suffer. Realize, however, that most of those going along with the communists do not realize what they are going along with. How many of these will find their courage at some future date?

One should not lose hope. There is more to our lives than our short span here, and the truth is part of that larger life.

      1. Thank you for the hope that you provide, Jeff. Too often I fall prey to pessimism or fatalism witnessing what is going on.

    2. Prayers for you folks living under the oppression of the thieving, criminal Communists. We in America have a disgraceful legacy of betraying peoples the world over to Communists. I remember that election well; it went on for quite a while and the reporting of results was suspicious indeed. The least our President could have done was question it, but unfortunately America is living under oppression too right now. Part of me thinks that this will be the ultimate punishment for how we forsook other peoples to their tyrannical slave masters. By the way, the Capitol operation in the US and that “storming” in Brazil looked literally like the exact same operation. Somebody at the FSB probably got a medal for it.

  2. This quote resonates for a personal situation currently, and I apologize if my comments do not make sense to anyone else but here they are: Chaos is powerful. It is easy for the peaceful to see all parties involved in a conflict as evil, and thereby be dismissive of taking a position other than a vague and ambiguous one. I see this as a lack of constitution or resolve and both cowardly and irresponsible. Too difficult for some to commit to a robust thought process. Think on it for a while, even a long while. It is not a waste of time Jeff. You never know in the digital world, how far your voice goes or whom it helps. This one helps me. Thank you.

  3. Conservative-minded Americans don’t understand that Communism is on the move all around them, 2023-24….South America, Central America, Cuba….not to mention China and Russian troops who have been in these areas for years as well as our own southern border and crossing into our own country. These same Fox News loving conservatives would do well to ignore the likes of a Douglas Macgregor and/or Scott Ritter’s weekly pro Russia propaganda and instead tune in, listen to the likes of General Phillip Breedlove and General Ben Hodges when it comes to the situation in Ukraine. This is in our country’s benefit that Ukraine is successful. The Russians won’t stop if they take Ukraine back. Poland and the Baltic States could be next. Ukraine troops have done remarkably well against the Russians some 600+ days into the fighting…but both Breedlove and Hodges know, and have stated, that Air Superiority is key. The U.S. never sends soldiers on the defensive without achieving complete air superiority.
We must educate our neighbors and friends and family about the threat. The Cold War never ended. They never stopped in their mission to destroy our country. And they use our own politicians, bureaucrats, and media to do it.

    1. Laura Ingraham has been a big disappointment on the Ukraine issue. The Russians a putting a lot into their disinformation effort on the American right.

      1. I have not watched Faux News for many years. I refuse to. Conservative talk show hosts disappointed me long ago starting with the late Rush Limbaugh. None of them speak to the issue at hand, that the Communists infiltrated our system of government decades ago and influenced all aspects of our society. It has been nothing but “we have to elect the next Republican Party candidate…a conservative….and then we can turn things around…and here we are today 50+ years later and nothing has changed in that regard, instead the Communists have become further entrenched and are now working on taking over the political Right.

      2. She’s always had a soft spot for Russia. You know she speaks Russian fairly well since her college days.

      3. She did go USSR to study Russian. I listened to her off and on for years. But not in the last 10 not very much. The softening of her and the once anti Communist Michael Savage, are major let downs. There is no major anti Communist of even middling gradse level. Thank for trying Jeff.

      4. She should really know better, but apparently it takes extra ordinary vision to see Russia for what it is. She was a speech writer for Reagan, don’t know what exactly, but hey, even Reagen was fooled a bit. Maybe a major bit.

      5. If it’s any consolation, Commies still seem concerned about what the people think. So much for the power of nukes if they don’t work against public opinion.

      6. Nuclear weapons can eradicate wholes classes of people. And their opinions with them. No man, no problem. Don’t take them lightly.

      7. I wish Elon were naive about the Chinese. Sadly I believe he’s fully on board. It IS disturbing, all part of the deception.

  4. Interesting. If the West has been lulled to sleep, then how is it that Western progressives hate Russia? Aren’t they supposedly Communist? Why do American Democrats support Ukraine against Russia? All that phony nonsense about Trump being in collusion with Putin, too.

    1. Our leftists are told to hate Russia by the communist apparatus that is protecting and coordinating them. It’s a deception. Watch Obama when he was caught on camera being intimately friendly with Russia’s President in 2012. They lie.

      1. Why do the fall for it if they are Communist? Do they hate Russia for supposedly liberalizing, as if that were to mean, becoming capitalist? I’ve heard people say, but not much lately, that ‘real Communism has never been tried.’

      2. Most are manipulated, but the actual agents of Russia, on our left, have worked for Russia many years. They cannot quit because Russia can expose them. The communist party is a web of worldwide parties. In the West they are very active — especially in the Democratic Party.

    2. “How come the KGB creates false opposition against themselves, if they are truly for themselves? If leftists are working for Russia, why wouldn’t they just say they’re working for Russia?” 🤪🤪🤪

    3. There are the leftist sheep and the leftist leaders. The leaders like Hillary know it’s all a giant con. The sheep literally do whatever MSNBC says. If you have 2 people conspiring together, it is much more advantageous for them to split apart and pretend to be opposed. This means their enemy will side with one of them if they swallow the lie. It also inoculates one from the accusation of collusion. “How could I be helping them when I so clearly and loudly spoke out against them?”

      1. “This means their enemy will side with one of them if they swallow the lie.”

This reminds me of something Francis Schaeffer said at L’Abri in Switzerland—during the days of the Spanish civil war, he was once at a social gathering in the U.S. discussing that war and the members of the groups were splitting apart choosing sides. When they came to Francis Schaeffer to ask which side he chose, he decried both sides as being evil. (Franco was a socialist too, as shown by his actions after taking power.) Both groups then joined together to attack him.

The truth sometimes must travel a lonely but heroic road.

  5. Great ambition is the passion of a great character. Those endowed with it may perform very good or very bad acts. All depends on the principles which direct them.
    Napoleon Bonaparte

Fox commentator: “Disclaimer: I, and the staff here at Fox News might be the victims of Russian plans.”

Ordinary people understand the concept of “….plans…”.

One of the governing principles of Fox News …. a consistent failure to warn their listening Public.

    J’accuse

  6. I admire NOOB36 for speaking out for freedom even though it costs him big time. My prayers to all the Brazilians. I love those people. I married a South American and they are special people. I pray Javier Milei can set a spark in Argentina. May God give them wisdom. Kevin Taylor

    1. Milei is an interesting character – he is correct that the government and central bank are the reason for the misery and poverty in Argentina; however, his idea to tie their currency to the US Dollar seems like a potentially horrific idea to me, given the fact that the United States will be facing a currency crisis possibly quite soon, potentially sparked by the official entrance of Saudi Arabia to BRICS.

What did Saudi Arabia promise to Russia in exchange for the recent lovey-dovey photo shoot between the Crown Prince and the demon Putin, and in exchange for the defense deal allegedly signed between them? The only thing I can think of is that they will announce, after official admission to BRICS, that they will end the 1973 agreement and accept all currencies for oil.

      https://greatpowerrelations.com/great-powers/status-of-great-powers/key-drivers-of-economic-capabilities/dollar-and-de-dollarization/birth-of-petrodollar/

Russia might as well send their stooge Biden a gift basket. Like loyal dogs, the Democrats waged a campaign against the Crown Prince over his killing of the Muslim Brotherhood operative Khashoggi and pushed them away from the US. Biden said he would make Saudi Arabia a “pariah”.

      https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/biden-heads-saudi-arabia-amid-tension-oil-khashoggi-killing-2022-07-15/

Then the loyal stooges in the White House damaged the credibility of the Dollar immensely by essentially stealing Russian reserves.

      https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/currencies/russia-accuses-us-of-stealing-cash-gold-reserves-sanctions-ukraine-2022-10

Jim Rickards has been warning for years that the US’ liberal use of “sanctions” would eventually backfire and push nations away from the dollar. Well, that’s probably been the point all these years.

Those two developments have pushed Bin Salman into Russia’s arms and now it seems Russia has promised military protection to them. In that case, the agreement allegedly brokered by, who else, HENRY KISSINGER, is now in jeopardy.

If/when the OPEC nations cease demanding dollars for oil transactions, one can’t help but think that that would eliminate an enormous demand for dollars. Those dollars would flow back to the USA, further diluting and depreciating the currency. This could happen as soon as January possibly when Saudi Arabia officially joins BRICS. And that’s the environment Milei is proposing to tie his nation’s financial future to.

  7. Another excellent episode, and the right advice to keep Faith and Hope, always, and to cultivate knowledge and reason and prayer. Know the enemy is active, who they are, what they plan and how and that they blunder ALOT even while seemingly on the rise. And we do and will have (and can be) the heroes we need. Thank you as always.

  8. Would you please comment on Barack and Michelle Obamas new movie “Leave the world Behind”. There is a scene where a black couple are in bed and talking about if the world falls apart after a cyber attack and saying that trust should not be doled out easily to anyone especially to white people.

      1. It is making news because it portrays the US after a grid-down cyber attack. The Obama’s played a heavy role in it, and aside from the ominous subject matter, managed to squeeze in some racism as well.

    1. Alex attempted to paint Musk as some military industrial stooge. Few remember that Russia hated him; first, for developing his rockets, which competed directly with Russia after Obama scrapped our program, and second, for giving Skylink to the Ukrainians during their offensives. I believe he tries to do good, but has been snookered on some issues.

The recent skirmish with him was a case in point. Russian mouthpieces started posting stats on black on white crime to incite white hatred, then posted how “Jewish organizations in the US” have mostly funded the anti white orgs. They tricked Elon and he posted approval under one of the tweets. Immediately, they launched a massive campaign against his advertisers and its possible X will drown. The critical error Musk made, and the trick the FSB played on him, was that it’s not “Jewish orgs” which all too often fund those racial campaigns – it’s “leftist Jewish orgs”. It is their ideology, not their ethnicity, that is their prime motivating factor. But it was quite discouraging to see the Russians successfully trap Elon like that. They want to kill Twitter, at least as long as it’s under his management.

      1. “It is their ideology, not their ethnicity, that is their prime motivating factor.”

Professor Di Dongsheng’s story of the Western Bank manager was met with laughter for a reason, and “our old Wallstreet allies at the center of US political power circles” alluded to the power of Both-And. There is little daylight between “bourgeois” and “goyim” as pejoratives in the most militant and chauvinist religious zealot circles in question, and internal CCP views on the matter would make the Austrian Corporal blush, hence the Carl Schmitt affinity and comparisons to Germany’s interwar geopolitical position. Motive is irrelevant to the utility of criminal and counter espionage profiling heuristics: the frequency of Silvermasters and Rosenbergs and Pollards in the set of high treason instances is too high to ignore, unless you’re a demoralized Republican Evangelical with Dispensationalist blinders on, as LBJ was. And there’s the biggest friend-enemy distinction Trojan Horse of them all: Ukrainians insist on self-determination, perforce they are Bandera-ite Nazis for resisting Reds in Moscow; Diane Feinstein was a Red China stooge, perforce one is antisemitic for noticing in the first place; one is anti-communist, perforce one is ‘fascist’ and so on with apophantic red herrings. That is why as Benesch pointed out in past talks the Russians have and continue to pose as Neo-Palestians— it’s a get out of jail free card guarded by a phalanx of shibboleths. The 15% Russian speaker 5th column in the Levant is an ongoing strategic hazard in the software and technology sphere (e.g. the Australia-France submarine contract cancellation), “Cyber is the REAL domain of POWER!” as a family friend of the Kushners put it at a conference in 2019. I wonder what all the fuss about “the next cyber pandemic will be even worse than Covid” in corporate news was alluding to or if Soviet diehards in sheep’s clothing will have anything to do with it—

      2. LBJ was not an Evangelical Republican. He was a corrupt Texas Democrat. And what is insinuated by saying that there is “little daylight” between “bourgeois” and “goyim”? And why would Hitler blush because Professor Di relies on a Wall-Street-connected Jewish communist friend of China? Do you think Professor Di has no Italian or German or French friends? At the same time, the Chinese communists exploit native antisemitism in Russia, Iran, Palestine, Syria, and they support Hamas and the PLO. What could you mean by suggesting “goyim” is a pejorative in the “most chauvinist religious zealot circles in question”? Are you referring to the Zealots who died at Masada after the fall of Jerusalem around AD 70?

  9. I remember how in an interview of yours with Olavo de Carvalho the latter mentioned during an Obama visit to Brazil as president Lula had his party organize the largest anti-American demonstration in Brazil’s history and Obama came out of Brazil boasting the two countries relations had never been better. The fact Obama treated Lula like a rockstar is still taken advantage of by leftists in Brazil, for example in a tv series dramatization of Operation Car Wash. I imagine no one in the American media noticed that. Similarly, during Lula’s visit to the US in 2023 a CNN interviewer had Lula imply it is ludicrous to think of him as a communists, and a few days or weeks laters he cried from the rooftops in a Sao Paulo Forum meeting he takes being called a communist as a badge of honor.

Fernandinho Beira-Mar, high profile Brazilian frugdealer, boasted in a Congress deposition from 2001 he shipped FARCs concain, 200 yearly tons. By now they feasibly had the American cocain market import thousands of tons of cocain, and the leftist vetran journalist class in Brazil is tired of knowing Lula’s party has a longstanding relationship and alliance with the FARCs, having given it all kinds of institutional backing. This has been discussed in leftist newspaper editorials, or to a degree in TV news segments etc. Ben Shapiro’s recent video about Sao Paulo Forum seems to not even suspect Lula is behind paramilitary and organized crimes, including, presumably, the very organized crime schemes Alabama senator Katie Britt described are in place keeping the border crisis machine by means of an infiltration of every level of American society.

Instead of one’s pointing a finger to the double-dealing rascall named Lula, whose party actually lead Sao Paulo Forum and gave 3 trillion dollars to revitalize communist regimes and strengthen their criminal network; one has Ann Coulter (in a typical warm fuzzy display toward Latin Americans) point the finger on the collective anonymous mass of illegal aliens and the moral shortcoming stemming from their inferior civilization, thus implying by mere unprompted impulse and the vaguest zeitgeist urge a whopping 8 million illegals crossed the border in three years just as Russia in extreme necessity plays this fact like crazy as a propaganda effort against supporting Ukraine.

The treatment of Latin American as annoyingly inferior and there being just this to this region, by the American right, seems to be the effect of an ideological play to divert and manipulate conservatives from understanding the communist colonization process taking place in Latin America, this diversionary articulating notion it seems comes from authors like Samuel P. Huntington. It seems it weaponizes residual eugenicist expectations already present in America in a relative and milder way.

Lula could essentially, if not literally, pull a wedgie and blow a raspberry on conservatives like Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy and they wouldn’t notice; which forces people who realize this is insane to cower alone haunted by the echoing trademark laugh of Tucker Carlson; accompanied by images of him giving platform for Glenn Greenwald to spin the news on Latin America according to Sao Paulo Forum’s convenience.

    1. There is a terrible tendency of conservatives to look at a country under Communist oppression and not separate the people from the oppressors. “Oh well, guess they’re getting what they voted for!” Framing it as Communists oppressing the people is a superior framework because it also delegitimizes the Communists and separates them from the consent of the people. This is incidentally why they constantly describe themselves as representing the people.

      1. My impression on white Americans in general, and conservatives in particular, being continually abused with the accusation of racism has to do with the fact America doesn’t have a vocation to be a cosmopolitan country, a country interested in others outlook or even able to understand it. Because if they had this vocation, there would be no room for them being suspected to be racist. Ortega y Gasset said a person’s flaws are intimately connected to a person’s virtues. Being provincial it seems to me is one of the things that allowed America to be a powerful freedom-loving nation, because being mired in the local customs opposes a tendency towards centralization and a suppression of freedom. There are cosmopolitan people in America, like the Theroux family, one of them I think translated Abdul Rahman Munif’s novel series Cities of Salt. But most people are not like them. I think the communist movement overexplored this weak spot cruelly.

      2. We have liberalism, which is a cosmopolitan elite view. Very muddled, now. Self-righteous and self-condemning. A vulgar cosmopolitanism to match the provincialism of the American masses.

    2. Yes. You are onto something. These right-wingers are stupid enough to unwittingly paint themselves as racists. They always walk headlong into the nearest political buzz saw. The communists defeat them easily, as they hurry to undo themselves. These people never grasp the game that is being played. They think it is about their ideology. No. Ideology is just a bauble. A trinket. The magic key to victory is true knowledge, which their actions mock. Instead of truth, they value image, appearances, “success” understood in the superficial sense. And so we have arrived in this difficult place.

      1. I saw a comment from you to a reader in the blog about how Islam isn’t in the globalist game because such requires nuclear power like Russia and China have; but the kind of vulnerability, by which a (in context) obvious Russian operative like Glenn Greenwald is allowed to be a key public media influencer in America with zero scrutiny, seems to show just how a subtle aspect of politics is arguably even more important than having a means of destruction. And Islam technically wield a lot of influence with nuclear powers, England and France. King Charles belongs to a Muslim esoteric school whose sheikh and mentor traditionally has in some respects absolute control over its members. England has approved laws and policies that specifically privilege Muslims even from a welfare state perspective. France’s academia departments on religion-related matters are completely taken over by René Guénon’s paradigm, it reigns there, and this is just one aspect of a infiltration and invasion in the making by Islam. In the 2011 debate with Dugin Olavo warned the means of exerting power on the part of Islam is different than the means employed by other globalists, it is more subtle.

America has nuclear weapons, but contrary to the Muslim intellectual elites (who I imagine would block this kind of influence) the intellectual elites in America have let the eugenicist lobby and other foreign fashions wreak havoc on the country and up to this date most seemingly do not realize it. I took some informations from Jim Keith’s book, Mass Control: Engineering Human Consciousness; it strongly [if indirectly] suggests an author like Henry Miller, associable to the sex-lib outlook, only arose in America because an over-the-top eugenicist lobby that was long pushed in schools and voiced everywhere from at least the 19th century.

The fact you have a “Bishop” John Stowe from Lexington, Kentucky, gnash his teeth in a public address against those who oppose women’s rights (meaning abortion); and the mainline protestants churches being depicted even in mainstream entertainment like the House of Cards series subscribing to the LGBTQ agenda; these are signs of a tragical eugenicist disregard for human life that is completely out of control. It is so out of control it seems it would be considered radical for a politician to publicly call out Planned Parenthood for giving sterilizing “gender-affirming care” to kids as young as eight years old who Planned Parenthood knows will thereby be drastically and predictably more prone to suicide.

How useful having nuclear power is in the face of something like this?

      2. In the last phase of struggle weapons of mass destruction will determine the near term political outcome for humanity, in terms of global ascendency. Such weapons can be used to exterminate billions of people. If the Muslim world is inadequately armed it will be subject to extermination if it does not bend the knee to communist power. Besides, much of Islam has been infiltrated and turned into a communist mutation of Islam by Soviet agents. Iran is an example. They can just mutate it into a branch of communism. If I have a nuclear arsenal with biological weapons, and you have nothing of the kind, you must surrender to me or die. This is the military science of our day. But nobody will admit it.

      3. I’m sure that if Hitler or Moa, or Stalin had the means, they would kill every person on the planet. They would allow only people to provide for their pleasure.

      4. Ideology is important, but equally important is understanding, having insight. In the 1930s the vast majority of people in the U.S. at least gave lip service to an ideology that prevented chaos and uprisings (to the surprise of Hitler and his close associates when discussing it in private). But the children who grew up in poverty during the Depression gave up that ideology and fostered the rebels of the 1960s and 70s. How many of the parents of those demonstrating against the Vietnam war were quietly saying “Good for you!” to their children? I saw too many.

If the Barna surveys are accurate, fewer than 10%, maybe as few as 2%–3%, of the population of the U.S. hold to that ideology that can successfully refute communism. That includes most “conservatives”. That ideology is Biblical Christianity. The mainstream churches all actively oppose it. Even many “fundamentalist” churches have abandoned it for futurism / eschatology (escapism). Without a strong ideological basis on their own, how can “conservatives” withstand the communist onslaught?

I was introduced to the realities, the dark underside, of communism as a teen. I saw the watchtowers in Bulgaria and recognized what they represented. I was also introduced to how Biblical Christianity can give strength to individuals to withstand communism, even when imprisoned and tortured. Communism will be defeated not by mass movements that can be infiltrated and subverted, but by individuals with understanding and strength to stand for what is right. So even when it appears that they are losing, by being imprisoned, tortured, killed, having their organs harvested, those who hold to Biblical truths still win.

The battle first and foremost is spiritual, ideological. It requires that people look beneath the surface appearances to recognize reality. It requires that people have a strong ideology and know it. Then it doesn’t matter what face the NEPs, false collapses, ideological splits, scissors actions, etc. present, the underside can still be recognized and opposed.

      5. The problem with ideology is found in the ideological claim that a “system” of ideas made by men is truth. But truth is not like this. To oppose on ideology with another is what people imagine happens. But communism is not an ideology, though it sometimes pretends to be one for pragmatic reasons. Yet it can dispense with yesterday’s Party line without batting an eye. This has baffled us because we think communism vanished. But no. Communism is a moving target. They now vote Democrat and make patriotic noises. But they are still communists who seek to change the world (as in “hope and change”). How can that be? Because communism is, in fact, a strategy for getting political power. It is chiefly concerned with advancing useful narratives, engaging in maneuvers, tactics, and concentrating power in the hands of its leaders and dupes. The idea is that power will allow the men in question to make a better world. The idea is to first get power. Absolute power. And hold that power. This becomes the important thing, while mankind is trampled, muzzled and murdered. That’s how the thing works. Sadly, the opponents of communism think all they have to do is refute an “ideology” by proving it wrong. They forget that they actually have to politically and militarily go to battle with it — a task and a hardship nearly everyone seeks to avoid. It would have been easier to oppose at the outset, but now it becomes disastrously difficult, as we must now suffer disasters to prevent greater ones.

      6. Jeff, you have hit on a very important factor: “The problem with ideology is found in the ideological claim that a “system” of ideas made by men is truth.” “…made by men…” is the central point. The Bible, if it is true, gives a teaching that is not made by men, rather was imparted from above mankind by God. The Bible, if it is true, is also falsifiable.

If the Bible is true, then any teaching that contradicts it is false. It doesn’t matter what is that teaching, it is false. Just like counterfeit currency, it doesn’t matter its origin, if it is counterfeit, it is false. That applies equally to all teachings, whether Shintoism in Japan, to Buddhism, to Islam, to communism, to … any contradiction.

Because the Bible is falsifiable, then people try to falsify it. Naturalists twist science into a pretzel to try to make the non-scientific religious belief of Darwinian evolution sound like the science it isn’t. Historians like Kenneth Kitchen overlook crucial pieces of evidence that indicate that our understanding of ancient history, especially ancient Egyptian history from before about 400 BC, is a royal mess. Then there are people like Bart Ehrman who just spin long discredited myths to the public. These and more are attempts to falsify the Bible. Have any succeeded?

The reason communists are winning is because those who try to oppose it do so based on systems of ideas made by men.

  10. I think these dispatches are great between the two of you and you both always have something to add. It’s also great to get a European perspective. That being said, I think “the right” does a disservice painting people like Alex Jones or Tucker Carlson as nefarious agents, out to get votes, money, etc.. My personal read is that both are genuine, but quite deceived.

We should also have some measure of sympathy for Jones, who has faced unjust partisan prosecution and silencing on a scale known to few. Hounded from every platform, sued into oblivion by a court case and judge biased from the start, eliminated from major platforms and then defamed afterwards, it seems to me his psyche has suffered greatly, and I think any of us, subjected to the same evil, would possibly have a nervous breakdown as well. He has faced Russian assaults through the American left wing and disinformation through the right one. After the KGB has brutalized him, they offer to ruin his name forever by offering him asylum from a nightmare of their own making.

His anti-American conspiracies are quite damaging, but I think he comes to them genuinely and truly believes them. Tucker is similar, although he is more sophisticated and clever than Jones, and would not expose himself to their assaults quite so easily. But it is clear he too is swallowing all the Russian propaganda – on Ukraine, on 9/11, on distrusting your own government. The FSB probably has entire teams dedicated just to surrounding Carlson with their disinformation. But the downfall of Jones has been sad to see. I don’t have to agree with any of his idiocy to say he has a right to speak on any platform and to say that it is kind of sad to see that the Communists basically broke him. I will never speak ill of someone who spoke their mind, went somewhat directionally against the Communists as when he spoke against the Clintons, and paid a price for it. But yes, there is a massive problem on the Right of prominent commentators getting absolutely tricked by KGB lies.

    1. I think you meant that the left paints Jones and Carlson as nefarious agents. Yet not everyone agrees that Jones is on the right. I just heard Jack Sarfatti describe Jones as a leftist, which may be the truth.

      1. Jones calls himself a Libertarian, had Ron Paul on his show ten years ago. He best describes himself as a “red blooded” Texan who loves guns, barbecue, beer, and country music. He just wants to be left alone to enjoy the freedoms our Founders gave us. In my opinion, he has gotten out way over his skis lately.

      2. I suspected Jones was helping the Russians when he declared 9/11 an inside job. He proved he was helping Russia in 2008 when he defended Putin’s invasion of Georgia.

      3. Alex is a guest on RT. Joe Rogan has guests on his show that are RT frequently.

      4. Álso every celebrity or pop Science personality. Including Mr. Grusch. They are both supporting an ET origin of UFOs. Rather than a fallen angels interpretation.

      5. Grusch insists on calling UFO entities “non-human,” rather than ET. He has said this many times. Furthermore, UFO author John A. Keel argues against the ET hypothesis, as does Jacques Vallee, and there were statements by J. Allen Hynek along these lines as well. The same goes for the late Karla Turner. We need to be accurate here.

      6. Without DNA evaluation, who’s to say that ET isn’t human? One of the many wildly varying hypotheses is that Earthlings left the planet long ago, and have recently returned, Plato’s Atlantians?

      7. I think there are five sensational hypotheses regarding UFOs. They are either ETs, spiritual beings, Time travelers, inter dimensional, or from a break-off civilization either based secretly on Earth or returning. The word from those from within the government is that these beings are not human. But then, we also hear that nobody may know what they are.

    2. There is a certain responsibility that attaches to someone with a large following. But Jones has no sense of responsibility. He is a vulgarian who pretends to understand topics about which he is clueless. He thereby drives out sensible discourse, supplanting it with vulgarian narratives. Jones presents topics which he incorrectly analyzes. This has disoriented and confused millions of people. He himself is confused, and has admitted in court that he does this to entertain people. This is just another aspect of his irresponsible approach to serious things. I cannot congratulate him on his success as an entertainer. He is integral to the emerging ochlocracy. Genuine is exactly what he cannot be. And Carlson, who seems genuine, lacks intellectual seriousness. Thus, his talents are a mismatched with his doings. He ought to cover sports or entertainment. Not politics and war.

      1. Recently, I noticed that Alex Jones was quite skillfully using subtle inferred suggestions to motivate his audience into doing what critics have alleged that he did on Jan 6. He even went so far as to infer that if people didn’t do it that they probably will still get to go to Heaven.

      2. Bill Hicks had a character he played in his stand up comic routine, named Alex Jones, who acted just like Alex Jones.

  11. Interesting take on the two lengthy Washington Post articles published last week on the Ukrainian counter-offensive. I only had time to read part of the first one and it certainly painted a downbeat picture. They could be intended to lay the groundwork for arguing that Ukraine’s cause is hopeless and therefore there is nothing more the West can do, as the podcast (perhaps unintentionally) suggests.

NATO ‘has three years to prepare for Russian attack’ | Ukraine: The Latest | Podcast
    The Telegraph – Dec 5/23

    22:02
Phrases like “obliterated”, “tossed aside”, “slivers of territory” all this kind of stuff it’s very colorful and I wonder if that shapes the framework through which we are receiving all the other information in these very good articles.

    23:04
The article said that the Ukrainians would have to make do with little or no air power… That’s a telling statement on the weakness of Western military support. There’s very few references to air power and it’s absolutely fundamental. I’m surprised that wasn’t made more of in the analysis.

    26:46
My problem with the article overall is that it says it highlights a lot of areas where things didn’t work and it says “together all these factors make victory for Ukraine far less likely than years of war and destruction”. I think that’s a negative take.
…I think these articles and the wider public discourse lean too heavily on the effects and few factors or causes are examined. There are only … two causes of where the military situation is at the moment. 1) the training level required from the troops is massive, to go from virtually nothing to major combined arms warfare without air power. That leap is huge and 2) the resilience that is required from the internal and external support … to face this scale of warfare in terms of industrial support and the resolve from Western Partners. The resilience required to rebuild factories inside Ukraine and outside to start churning out production lines of drones and artillery shells and tanks and all the things we thought we’d left behind.

    ————–
For some reason there is more discussion in the British media about the devastating consequences to Europe if Russia wins. Maybe this is because the UK too was a signatory to the Budapest Memorandum. There is also more realization that the war will be won by industrial might, ie. whichever side puts its weight behind defense production, therefore military aid is a long-term investment rather than charity. Meanwhile Fiona Hill made a good point in the recent Politico interview that in the US the debate over Ukraine is largely driven by partisan politics and there is little thought as to larger national security and geopolitical consequences of a Russian victory. She noted that allies like Japan and South Korea are more aware of how the balance of power in the Indo-Pacific would change, and noted that in the past Russia even approached Japan to be the latter’s interlocutor with China because the US is not up to the job.

Ukraine will be the West’s last chance to stop Putin warns senior General | Frontline
    Times Radio – Dec 7, 2023

2024 will be the last chance to stop Putin from establishing a dangerous new world order as Russia’s war economy is now prepared for a long war in Ukraine, says General Sir Richard Barrons in a stark warning to Ukraine’s allies to do the same

    21:25
Many Ukrainians are willing to fight … they don’t have the domestic industry to equip themselves and if the West doesn’t fill in that hole Russia will gradually, grindingly build material ascendency on the battlefield.

    24:30
I think the elephant in the room for Ukraine is they have shied away from mobilizing their 20-year-olds and there are good reasons for doing that to sustain civil society and the economy.

    33:21
Russia is tripling its defense expenditure now it’s going to be a third of its public spending 96 billion dollars. This is a heavily mobilized country. And if they’re going to do that it’s not just about Ukraine. You’ve got to deter Russia you don’t want to just wait and see whether they attack you or not you need to seize the initiative and make sure Russia fully understands there’s no question of it succeeding in an attack on NATO.

    35:01
If we can enable Ukraine to retake its territory and inflict a battlefield and therefore strategic defeat on Russia that is the cheapest, quickest and least bloody way of establishing Russia’s boundaries with Europe. A much worse outcome is Russia succeeds in Ukraine and then war is visited on Europe somewhere else… In Ukraine the blood is being spilled by Ukrainians and it’s demanding money, and not frankly that much money based on a European economy of 15 trillion a year, to support them in in fighting.

    1. Thanks Laura. We need to supply Ukraine what it needs to defend. If we gave them more HIMARS they could win without air power. Just use precision rocket attacks which are as good as any air strikes. But Washington is going along with a strategy calculated to gradually demoralize Ukraine’s war effort. Adequate munitions are not promptly given. Those helping Moscow dare not get caught in the act. Who wants to hang when the disaster unfolds? They must blame others. This is smart politics, and the Kremlin is forced to accept that this is the best certain Western leaders can do to assure a Russian victory.

  12. “The world has reached that turning point by the steep stages of a crisis mounting for generations. The turning point is the next to the last step. It was reached in blood, sweat, tears, havoc and death in World War II. The chief fruit of the First World War was the Russian Revolution and the rise of Communism as a national power.”

“The chief fruit of the Second World War was our arrival at the next to the last step of the crisis with the rise of Communism as a world power. History is likely to say that these were the only decisive results of the world wars. The last war simplified the balance of political forces in the world by reducing them to two. For the first time, it made the power of the Communist sector of mankind (embodied in the Soviet Union) roughly equal to the power of the free sector of mankind (embodied in the United States).”

“It made the collision of these powers all but inevitable. For the world wars did not end the crisis. They raised its tensions to a new pitch. They raised the crisis to a new stage. All the politics of our time, including the politics of war, will be the politics of this crisis.”

“The revolutionary heart of Communism is not the theatrical appeal: “Workers of the world, unite. You have nothing to lose but your chains. You have a world to gain.” It is a simple statement of Karl Marx, further simplified for handy use: “Philosophers have explained the world; it is necessary to change the world.” Communists are bound together by no secret oath.”

“The tie that binds them across the frontiers of nations, across barriers of language and differences of class and education, in defiance of religion, morality, truth, law, honor, the weaknesses of the body and the irresolutions of the mind, even unto death, is a simple conviction: It is necessary to change the world. Their power, whose nature baffles the rest of the world, because in a large measure the rest of the world has lost that power, is the power to hold convictions and to act on them. It is the same power that moves mountains; it is also an unfailing power to move men. Communists are that part of mankind which has recovered the power to live or die —to bear witness—for its faith.”

“And it is a simple, rational faith that inspires men to live or die for it. It is not new. It is, in fact, man’s second oldest faith. Its promise was whispered in the first days of the Creation under the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil: “Ye shall be as gods.” It is the great alternative faith of mankind. Like all great faiths, its force derives from a simple vision. Other ages have had great visions. They have always been different versions of the same vision: the vision of God and man’s relationship to God. The Communist vision is the vision of Man without God.” – Whittaker Chambers, Witness.

  13. Jeff, I called in and spoke with you on John Moore’s show yesterday. Alex Jones interview on RT shows that he has become an asset of the Russians. He even uses their language about multi-polarism and believes that the Russians are no threat to the West.

As a ice hockey player myself, I grew fond of Russian and Soviet hockey players when I first saw the Soviet Olympic hockey team tour No. America in the 1970s. I think all of us would like to believe we could get along with the Russians. It’s important, though, to understand the threat we are facing and the manipulation of public figures like Jones and Tucker Carlson. -Pat in Oregon

  14. Jeff, I would appreciate if you shared your thoughts on the essequibo controversy. I wonder if it is some sort of diversionary move from the communists to turn the US attention away from Ukraine and Russia, but it occurred to me that it could have something to do with making sure Brazil is more closely aligned with Russia, by turning public opinion, which seems to be strongly pro-american there, toward the anti-american stance of their government.

    1. The claims of sovereignty over the Essequibo region is an old controversy brought to the fore by the discovery of oil under that land. But that land is inaccessible to armies, hard to invade. I suspect the threats of invasion and military action by Venezuela and Brazil are meant to scare off American oil companies so that the Chinese will get the concession.

  15. A message to Fox commentators and editorial staff and others.

All previous wars were just skirmishes on a summer day, prepare to defend your place under the freeway overpass, or your improvised make-shift fort in the wilderness.

Your flippant estimation of your ability to see the future is wrong, wildly wrong.

  16. Do you think that the US has already acknowledged Golitsyn secretly?

In fact, the Pentagon openly admitted Russia as Soviet Union for the first time. People were laughing at them but it is the truth.

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/lloyd-austin-russia-soviet-union

However, I theorize that we only have a faction of Western patriots openly acknowledging the fake collapse of USSR and determined everything to stop communism spreading everywhere. That faction is in the US military, while the communists have fully taken all over factions in every part of Western Deep State from US to EU.

Ukraine War didn’t turn out into the favors of NATO and Ukraine because there were powerful traitors opposing the war efforts in every way.

I noticed that the name of Golitsyn or Sejna or anyone, who said the fall of USSR was fake, continues to be smeared and cease to have any mention anywhere. Golitsyn only wrote two books and had to hide out of fear! The intelligence operations of Russian and Chinese communists must be so insane that no one is safe! Even if you live in the West!

      1. Because Lloyd Austin do not own or fully control the Pentagon. It is being operated by the “Deep State” which is an acronym for a vast bureaucracy across the West. These bureaucrats can sit there for life, and neither of them can hold absolute power. However, the most disturbing fact is that these bureaucrats can be swayed by foreign powers. Like Bob Menedez here!

        https://apnews.com/article/bob-menendez-indictment-c1850764b8ce7c613fc50f0e4f495e87

This is a proof that communists can easily control our “Deep State”, so if there is surely a faction of patriots opposing the global communism, then it is very hard for them. The communists can either control or sabotage the Western bureaucrats. If worse, communists can order assassination against dangerous figures.

I think Lude Wang did covered a topic where Chinese communists have been killing or kidnapping dangerous dissidents in the US. The acts are simply unthinkable, if busted, because the US can’t tolerate any foreign power doing evil things against its citizens on its own soils. India recently got into an ugly fight with the US for this exact reason.

  18. On Golitysn. New Lies For Old. After trying to figure out the NWO conspiracy from my late teens, I read some articles by Nyquist. His writings told me to look at Communism. At that time, just after the 9-11 attack, New Lies For Old was available on inter library loan, from University of Delaware. This is 2002. I got the book. This was at a time when books where registered IN OUT. By an ink stamp on the last pre binder page. 7 people ever took the book out, and none held it for than a week. This was 2002. No one really read it. I lost the book. It was 100 dollars fine.

  19. Maybe it dovetails with “The Big Picture”, maybe it doesn’t, but I just viewed via The Drudge Report a trailer for an upcoming major(?) motion picture entitled “Civil War”, and it is just that. Seems to start with some western states succeeding, and the military subsequently being unleashed, although the trailer does not definitively say against whom, but I presume against the rebelling states. First time I have ever even heard/seen about this film. (Nick Offerman plays the President, of all actors, but he has had some drama roles in recent years, I believe.)
Although we should have expected a film like this sooner or later. But will it depict a believably realistic possible scenario to occur sooner or later? And one the Russ/Chinese would definitely take advantage of?
I think the release date is next April. It is sure to garner some degree of attention as the release approaches. Maybe Mr. Nyquist will do a review once it is out.

    1. I have always spoken against civil war as something people entertain (or entertain themselves with). Movies like this feed the fantasies of those who believe succession to be a solution. It is not. It is how the Russians and Chinese insert troops here, with false promises of support to one side or the other. Read Alexander Hamilton or George Washington on the subject of Union. Washington said that anyone who talks of disunion is an ENEMY.

      1. The supposed divisiveness between Americans is more propaganda in response to all the other propaganda intended to divide Americans. Major media news is mostly irrelevant, as if the propaganda can convince people that they are the only ones who aren’t personally represented by the supposed majority of two party sheep.

  20. I suggest you all follow REASONS.ORG. The best defense of God, consequently politcs

  21. Many years ago, another entertainer pretend commentator soured me on the genre. Rush Limbaugh, during the time of the “black helicopters” scare (among conspiracy theorists), made a statement that anyone who claimed to see one of those black helicopters, was off his rocker, or something to that effect. The conspiracy theorists were having a field day because the government at that time denied that those helicopters existed. I personally assumed that the government was lying. I didn’t believe the conspiracy theorists.

The day that Rush Limbaugh called me crazy, I watched one of those black helicopters fly down the San Francisco bayside waterfront so close that it more than filled the field of view of a seven power binoculars. Who was I to believe? Rush Limbaugh or my own two lying eyes?

Since then I turned off all those so-called “conservative” talk shows.

I have found Jeff to be very informative, and I have learned from him. Yet I don’t agree with him on everything. Even so, thanks Jeff for posting.

A few months later the government admitted that those were Blackhawk helicopters.

      1. The one I saw close up looked perfectly black with no visible lettering. This was back before the government admitted to their existence. Today everyone knows what they are.

I remember the anger I felt when wild-eyed conspiracy theorists, who were genuinely afraid, accurately described the helicopters, but then presented unbelievable stories about what they were. Part of my anger also was at government officials who denied their existence, and people like Rush Limbaugh who called anyone who claimed to have seen one was crazy.

I had also seen some helicopters at a distance (miles away) that appeared that they may have been Blackhawks doing regular military exercises, which was another reason I doubted the governmental denials.

◾ Ukrainian Transcarpathia, a local deputy exploded grenades during a session meeting

◾A video of the moment the grenades exploded appeared online – a local deputy of Transcarpathia came to the session, during which he pulled out 3 grenades and blew it up. It is reported that 26 people were injured, 8 in serious condition. The man who blew himself up is still alive.

◾The police are trying to establish the reason why he did this. At the same time, according to some media reports, the bomber died on the spot, while others say he is still alive and is being resuscitated.

      1. There seems to be no audio, and the article states that the reason for the deputy’s suicidal/homicidal behavior is unknown. Maybe there will be more reported latter? He is so nonchalant about tossing the grenades, it makes me wonder if he thought that they were blanks, as if he was merely trying to terrorize his colleagues?

Preliminary reasons why Transcarpathian deputy Batrin blew up grenades have become known

Deputies at the session approved the budget for 2024. The media write that Batrin argued very strongly with them – he demanded that the deputies report on the 2023 budget, and then adopt the budget for 2024.

A few minutes before the explosion, the deputy was quarreling with his colleagues that during the war it was impossible to give the village mayor a 50% bonus and a monthly bonus of 100% of the salary. At some point, Batrin left the hall and returned 2 minutes 40 seconds later. The media also claim that another deputy left with Batrin, but did not return to the hall.

      4. Seems unlikely that he is a typical psychopath or he wouldn’t have been installed as deputy; he’d be mayor. One can’t be hypnotized to consciously commit suicide, either. If he was hypnotized, he would have been under the impression that the grenades were harmless props and that he was merely playing a practical joke on his colleagues, in some twisted context where such an distasteful joke might be acceptable. For instance, the Jonestown Massacre, and Heaven’s Gate mass suicide.

      5. The deputy doesn’t appear Zombified. Besides, catatonics aren’t much use. Drugs are neither useful nor necessary in mind control. Hypnosis was experimented with after WWII, and became quite popular for a time. I read a case where the subject was hypnotized to become deaf, and didn’t even flinch when a .38 revolver was shot next to their ear. Furthermore, during MK Ultra research, it was determined that Cannabis actually prevents mind control. Furthermore, hypnosis is actually a misnomer. Sleep is merely a suggestion to be accepted or rejected. If the subject goes to sleep, then they were suggestible to begin with. Hypnosis is merely the organization of inhibitory factors, which can be conducted in the waking state. Most people aren’t the most entertaining as hypnotic subjects during a stage show. They have to be tested in order to determine their type of suggestibility.

For instance, if you were to think about sucking on a sour, juicy, bitter, yellow lemon, would it make your mouth water? When you see someone yawn, does it make you, yawn, too? How about when someone clears their throat, does half the people in the room start to cough?

      6. The Russians have a drug which paralyzes the critical function of the mind. You basically believe and acquiesce in everything you are told while under its influence. There is defector testimony on the use of this drug in the former Eastern bloc. I worked on a manuscript which explored this this a few years ago. It is related to friendship drugs, but not the same in function.

      7. Did you find a published, peer reviewed study?

There are many patents about using microwaves to penetrate a subject’s skull and send vocal messages directly to the brain; suggestions to be unquestionably obeyed. The inventors aim is to obtain financing for development of prototypes which invariably, fail to deliver on the hucksters’ sales pitch.

      8. Robert Kennedy, Jr, advocated for the paroled release of Sirhan – Sirhan, Attorney General, Bobby Kennedy’s killer, citing that Sirhan had been brainwashed. In fact, Sirhan was involved with Charles Manson, the Jeffery Epstein of his day. What are the numerous implications of these facts?

      9. LOL, no. Friendship drugs are a class of drugs that, when used with trained agents, can persuade people to become your friend; that is, the friend of those nice people — the Russians. The drug enlarges the ego and paralyzes the subject’s critical sense. It does not work on humble people. It was developed in the 1960s and used extensively on visitors to the USSR. It is also used today. It works best on narcissists.

  26. I read your book The Fool and his Enemy and it triggered me and I had to put it down for a while. It made me realize that I grew up in a far left- Marxist thinking and behaving family. We were the fools and most of them still are. I recently visited my 93 year old mother (who is still very sharp) and we were gingerly talking politics and she said that she considers herself in the center, needless to say my jaw dropped.
Also, I just started reading The Lies We Believe In and growing up in a suburb near Dearborn Mi we were made to suppress our thoughts about Muslims so, it felt so freeing when I read that no, we shouldn’t be welcoming and accepting other people’s religions and value systems at the detriment to our country. Even the Christian Caladians are very different than American Christians as I witnessed as a 17 year old. Your books are very well written and I can more clearly understand  how you think and what you believe. Serious subjects but you add humor.

    1. Thank you for reading my books, and for the nice comment. If we could only see the world through fresh eyes — we might begin to recognize ourselves.
