Richard Weaver called the mass media “The Great Stereopticon.” It consists of television, newspapers, magazines, and the Internet. It is a vehicle for reaching millions of people. It fills their heads with journalistic ephemera, anchoring them to the present with a parade of passing trivialities. “No one is prepared to understand the influence of journalism on the public mind until he appreciates the fact that the newspaper is a spawn of the machine,” wrote Weaver. “A mechanism itself, it has ever been closely linked with the kind of exploitation, financial and political, which accompanies industrialism.”[i] The press was the “great scribe,” noted Weaver, but today’s social media is even better at multiplying stereotypes and spreading intellectual rot than the pundits of yesteryear. The Great Stereopticon, wrote Weaver, “thrives on an endlessness of dissemination. Its progeny, like the frogs of Egypt, come up into our very kneading troughs.”[ii] And what are these frogs that swarm over us? Shabby concepts.
Journalism charms the public as it mesmerizes the popular mind. Talk descends into formula, into stock phrases and knee-jerk reactions. Weaver thought the mass media was designed to minimize discussion. “Despite many artful pretensions to the contrary,” noted Weaver, “it does not want an exchange of views, save perhaps on academic matters. Instead, it encourages men to read in the hope they will absorb.”[iii] And what will they absorb? What messages predominate? What shabby concepts recur? They are, (1) “progress,” (2) “democracy,” and (3) “equality.” These concepts, as noted above, are best absorbed through ephemera because they are ephemeral.
Let us take these “modern” concepts in order, starting with “progress.” According to Weaver, progress “makes a virtue of desecration.”[iv] It exalts “becoming” over “being.”[v] In fact, infinite progress for the sake of progress is destructive.[vi] Belief in it even discourages sanity, because sanity knows how to stop and progress does not. The mass media is the ideal servant of progress. “The touchstone of progress,” wrote Weaver, “simply schools the millions in shallow evaluation.” The unstated goal of progress is “happiness through comfort.”[vii] To make matters worse, we have come to believe that progress is “automatic,” that the “Laws of History” guarantee that life will get better and better. The dogma of progress pictures physical sufficiency as the all-in-all, insulating “the mind against immanent reality.”[viii] In doing this, the Great Stereopticon keeps the ordinary citizen from recognizing the vanity of his materialist pursuits. Emptying our discourse of serious ideas, progress “makes father and child live in different worlds, and speech fails to provide a means to bridge them.”[ix] Weaver wrote, “What more soundly rebukes the theory of automatic progress than the measured tread of Gibbon’s Decline and Fall?”[x] What shall we say, in this context, of the decline of America? Compare our first three presidents (Washington, Adams, and Jefferson) to our last three presidents (Obama, Trump, and Biden). The latter are a grotesque parody of statesmanship when compared to the former. In what sense do these latter names represent any kind of progress? As progress in fraud, crudity, and senility? And who would describe as “progress” our passage from the integrity and uncommon valor of Washington to a creature like Kamala Harris?
And what of that false god, democracy? Robert Michels explained that “democracy” is just another way of organizing oligarchy. Here we have what Michels called “the Iron Law of Oligarchy.”[xi] We are no longer organized under small city states, so that direct democracy is no longer practicable. All democracies are, therefore, “representative.” As such they involve the organization of political parties. The key word here is “organization,” which requires oligarchy. He wrote, “Historical evolution mocks all the prophylactic measures that have been adopted for the prevention of oligarchy.” It is, he explained, “organization which gives dominion of the elected over the electors…. Who[ever] says organization, says oligarchy.”[xii] All political systems, excepting direct democracy, are oligarchical. The question today is not whether the few or the many will rule the state. The question, said Max Weber, is what kind of oligarchy will it be? The favored answer, since time immemorial, has been “aristocracy,” or “rule by the best.” But who are the “best”? The warriors? The priests? The rich? The intellectuals? Monarchists hold that the best person is ordained by God or the Church, especially on account of his lineage. Given the circumstances of the American Revolution, America’s Founding Fathers were opposed to monarchy and aristocracy; therefore, presidents would be elected every four years, congressmen every two years, and senators would be appointed. The election mechanism, the independent power of the states, and the courts, were conceived as checks on executive and congressional power. Under the Constitution, America is only a democracy one day in every two years; that is, in November, on a Tuesday that follows the first Monday, of every even numbered year. What the Framers of the Constitution feared, above all, was ochlocracy (i.e., mob rule) where the majority might pass a bill of expropriation against the propertied classes. This, they knew from ancient history, would end in a leveling despotism. Therefore, the U.S. Constitution does not allow the people to vote for mass expropriations, as would be possible under a true democracy (where “the people” have the power to plunder whomever they please). In this context, Vice President Kamala Harris, born the daughter of a communist resident alien, might be classified as true believer in the plundering power of democracy. Indeed, she describes herself as a “woke defender of democracy” against the “despotic” and “racist” ambitions of Donald Trump and his “deplorables.” But is she really a champion of the people? Her rhetoric obscures the fact that she is an aspiring oligarch of the socialist camp, who wants to do away with the checks and balances of America’s “undemocratic” and “racist” Constitution. Although Harris took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, we should not believe she intends to keep that oath. What she intends, rather transparently, is to fill the country with an alien rabble who will, at some future date, vote for the expropriation of America’s native-born white racists. (Of course, this expropriation is occuring by other means, through the “welfare state”). In promoting social democracy, Harris is one of those revolutionaries who would use democracy to “push past” the Constitution, as called for by The Program of the Communist Party.[xiii] From Harris’s lips we hear the word “democracy,” erroneously supposing that democracy signifies individual rights. But Harris is a woman of the left, a so-called “feminist” whose hatred of motherhood is seen in her advocacy for infanticide. In all this, she is a true democrat who believes that voting can make murder into a right. This shows that the Framers of the Constitution did not trust democracy for good reason. It was, after all, the system that put Socrates to death and ordered the Melian genocide.[xiv]
The third god of liberalism’s unholy trinity is “equality” or “equity.” Here is a deadly poison, laced with envy. The economist Thomas Sowell wrote that nobody knows what “equality” means. Is it equality of opportunity or equality of outcome? If government intervention is used to correct inequalities, which inequalities will government address? Inequalities of wealth, beauty, intellect? The state, being a machine of violence and coercion, has no means to make men equal “besides blood and the misery of mankind,” noted the political philosopher Eric Voegelin. “The gigantic structure of the system and its strict order is woven over an abyss of human nihilism and torn by the desire for fulfillment in reality through a collective body.”[xv] Given an egalitarian trajectory, the gigantic structure of the system is bound to collapse into the abyss over which it stands. Think of a collective body exposed to egalitarian dogmas and slogans. According to Voegelin, a generation so exposed “will be warped in its decisive center.” It will fall prey to the Big Lie.[xvi] For Voegelin, the false salvific “knowledge” of “gnostic mass movements” arouses the bloodlust of egocentric politicians seeking to gain “a pseudo-identity … by killing somebody.”[xvii] This psychology was explored by Albert Camus in his book, The Rebel. Voegelin summarized Camus’s work as explaining “the equanimity of the intellectuals who have lost their self and try to regain it by becoming pimps for this or that murderous totalitarian power….”[xviii] Power is all that matters to them.[xix] Here we find the story of George Orwell’s Animal Farm, where a pig named Napoleon gets control of the Farm, promising equality to all the animals; yet affirming, in the end, that “some animals are more equal than others.” When power is in prospect, the warped individual is not a champion of the people. His is a swindler. Falsification, however, is not the essential tendency of these political ideologists. The essential tendency is murder.[xx]
Why is murder the essential tendency of modern ideologies like communism and Nazism? Because political lying for the sake of power leads to massive distortions of reality, which leads to the trampling down of people, to oppression and the murdering of opposition leaders. Whenever the soul lives within a false construction, inner disintegration colors the whole. There is no integration. The corollary of this inner disintegration is the collapse of order (political and economic). One of the requirements of human life is order. Given ideology’s tendency to replace religious concepts with political concepts, making salvation secular rather than spiritual, the impetus is to replace the “truth of the soul” from which authentic civil order derives with a doctrine of political salvation through untruth (i.e., ideology). Such doctrines must lead to the disintegration of order and ultimate destruction.[xxi]
According to Voegelin, our civilization was built out of Greek philosophy and Christian theology. To reject this heritage in favor of “ideology” signifies a “theoretical retrogression” which must result in “types of derailment which Plato characterized as doxa [i.e., misguided popular opinion]. Whenever in modern intellectual history a revolt against the maximum of differentiation [i.e., intellectual precision] was undertaken systematically, the result was the fall into anti-Christian nihilism, into the idea of the superman in one or the other of its variants….”[xxii] Here we see that egalitarianism is not about equality. Like all political endeavors invested with ego, it is about power as murder – power without a proper conception of order.
In terms of grand strategy, the generals and statesman forced to cope with an ongoing breakdown of order, need to realize that ideologically inspired wars are likely to become wars of destruction for the sake of destruction; that is, for the sake of destroying certain races or classes or nations. Typically, the ideologist projects evil onto a race or class of persons. If only these evil people are eradicated a magical transformation of the universe will occur. Suddenly, out of this, a wondrous new order will form. Everyone will be equal and wars will be at an end. At least, this is what socialist ideology teaches (however obliquely). For normal people a dilemma arises. What do normal people do with these crazy ideologists whose objective is to eradicate the Jews, or to eliminate Great Britain by importing Muslims, or to eliminate America as well? Are normal people then obliged to eradicate these ideologists? The whole situation seems to place a great burden on normal people, who are not ideologists, and who do not want war. But the danger from “gnostic mass movements” (as Voegelin called them) is real. And something must be done before society is entirely consumed and destroyed. Of course, much of “normal” society is infected with liberal ideology which has been a stepping stone to socialism. Liberalism, like socialism, tends to favor concepts like “progress, democracy, and equality.” Liberalism is therefore ill-equipped to confront totalitarian socialism. According to Voegelin,
If an incipient disturbance of the balance is not met by appropriate political action in the world of reality, if instead it is met with magic incantations, it may grow to such proportions that war becomes inevitable. The model case is that of National Socialist Germany … with the gnostic chorus wailing its moral indignation at such barbarian and reactionary doings in a progressive world – without however raising a finger to repress the rising force by a minor political effort in proper time. The prehistory of the Second World War raises the serious question whether the gnostic dream has not corroded Western society so deeply that rational politics has become impossible, and war is the only instrument left for adjusting disturbances in the balance of existential forces. [xxiii]
According to Voegelin, Western military objectives typically involve “gnostic presumption.”[xxiv] Pointing to the aftermath of World War II, in which the “liberal” leaders of the United States followed a policy of unilateral disarmament, Voegelin wrote, “never before in the history of mankind has a world power used a victory deliberately for the purpose of creating a power vacuum to its own disadvantage.”[xxv] The Soviets maintained their occupation of Eastern Europe and successfully filled the vacuum left by the Japanese Empire in China. America was caught flatfooted, then, when the communists invaded South Korea in 1950. This was a hard lesson for America, but America learned nothing from it. After 1991 America disarmed again, leaving a vacuum in Afghanistan that led to the calamity of 9/11. America also left a vacuum in Africa and Latin America where several communist gangs came to power. Attending this was the explanation of Sovietologist Francis Fukuyama, who wrote of the “end of history.” Above all, Fukuyama was an exemplar of “gnostic presumption” in the liberal sense. The gnostic does not “take into account the structure of reality,” wrote Voegelin. “There can be no peace, because the dream cannot be translated into reality and reality has not yet broken the dream. No one, of course, can predict what nightmares of violence it will take to break the dream….”[xxvi]
In opposition to liberalism, on the communist side, we have the Machiavellian realism of Chairman Mao’s Yenan Way, best explained by Mao himself in a conversation with the Peruvian Marxist, Eudocio Ravines:
Oh dear friend [said Mao] how deluded you are with respect to the political thinking of common people. You have a romantic idea of the revolution and of its politics. You think that workers and peasants and petit bourgeois are full of noble intentions and faithfully respect mores and principles. What an error! It’s not like that, my friend. The immense mass of our friends and enemies is made up of opportunists. You must get that through your head – complete opportunists. [xxvii]
Mao told Revines that “there are countries which have real party politics, a democratic life, real civil liberties.” These, said Mao, require the communists to use “the Popular Front, to attract leftwingers and the leftist groups, good and bad, sincere or not. Tempt them, each through his particular weakness, as the devil tempts.” Mao then explained, “Help them get what they want; put pressure, first with offers, later with threats. Compromise them if you can, so that they can’t get away. And [do] this every day, without respite, one after the other with as deep a psychological study of each as possible.”[xxviii]
About his encounter with China’s communist leader, Ravines wrote, “In all this explanation, so severely free from any doctrinaire principle or moral evaluation, in this shameless exposure, I felt a disheartening basis of realism.”
To believe in a silly dream built on silly concepts is to find oneself outplayed by communists and the many opportunists who are ready to work with them. These people know that progress, democracy, and equality are nonsense slogans. What is not nonsense, however, is the moral firmness of a truthful person to stand up against murderers and thieves. Many liberals imagine that they hold beliefs in common with socialism; beliefs like “progress, democracy, and equality.” But as noted above, such concepts are equivocal if they have any meaning at all. When socialist leaders turn out to be thieves and murderers the liberals are baffled. Philosophy and Christianity are beyond the true liberal’s range of experience, said Voegelin. The liberal believes in science, which makes him too sophisticated to believe in God. “Heaven will be built on earth,” mocked Voegelin, who added, “if liberalism is understood as the immanent salvation of man and society, communism certainly is its most radical expression; it is an evolution that was already anticipated by John Stuart Mill’s faith in the ultimate advent of communism for mankind.”[xxix]
This is why the West is in such trouble today. Liberals will always find themselves exploited by socialists.

Yes. I have been deleting his posts, since his clowning is out of place here.
A question that comes to mind after reading the essay is this: If aristocracy, “rule by the best”, is the best form of government, what is the best way of choosing “the best”? It seems that the human condition makes every method at least somewhat unreliable.
As long as we are dealing with fallen men, then there is no way of reliably choosing virtuous men to rule.
Yes. That is the political problem and why checks and balances are so necessary.
Well, the distorted use of the justice system, as some have bemoaned, is that weak brats use it to protect themselves and avoid being slapped into shape by virtuous men. As a pundit said, in a world where antifa brats could be slapped around, they would not be talking smack like this. It simply does not happen in places like the Philippines or Africa that such arrogance is not met face on for what it claims to be worth with all the real death threatening injuries these medical system lacking places promise.
I am not saying medievality is the answer, but it is the eventual result when all else fail and we degenerate and abuse the system. Take the women’s movement, it is more based in the abuse of the system of “fairness” than in the arguably sensible virtues it promotes. This is because it is not based in virtue but in the leftist delirium of persecution. Give such individual an inch of agreement with them in a psychiatric office, and they will come and bite you whole, blaming you too for other problems that have nothing to do with it.
The age of wolf in sheep clothing is a tragedy where the wolf is persuaded he/she is virtuous no matter what, incapable of evil, never seeing they send the jews to camps as Nazis or Siberian shamans to frozen Gulags as fascistic progressist leftists who only tolerate them on account of thinking of them as harmless children nowadays – only so far. Worse, it is one where the person of actual virtue is deemed the wolf and threat instead, and no one listens to him, with many many men in fact following this irrational corruption and worshipping the harlot everyday at their own political expense and sanity – on the right too or especially since there the transhuman cynicism has not fully sunk in but is getting there.
The argument of the devil is that, yes, it is true, women need to be respected etc. But this argument is valid for a person of sane constitution who values memory, logic and continuity in an argument. For people, and by extention a culture or society which has no means of memory continuity like an integrated brain, ie for those people who mimick society in its disconnectedness instead of integrating the idea with a chief symbolic intent (one which can only be simulated in a society with the checks and balances minding such symbolic intent of the declaration or of a nation uniting in rckoning of “love as I have loved you all”), it cannot work!
Kamala and her disconnected feminine (non)thinking is a danger to the nation and her own self in her mockery of checks and balances and any idea of a ruler as someone other than a thug. I do not care how glorious it is women can run for President and think, the whole thing is based in a delirium of persecution that extends way beyond the argument “for pity, forgiveness or humanness equality” they promote. These people invariably turn on everyone with the state inherent cold paranoiac Kavkaesque schizophrenic technical power is might as their main weapon.
Ironically, feminism is against womanhood. It wants to turn women into men, which is not very femine at all.
True Catholic Monarchy is what will always base its laws on the interpretation and teaching of the true Catholic Church, and thus based on charity (which is a term that cannot be substituted by any other, including love…) – and the Laws of God will be always respected and followed there.
(This is not possible to be established today as the time is past and the level of perversion and apostasy in this world reached extraordinary level, never surpassed in the history of the world before.)
Because God is charity, men who possess the supernatural gift of charity are thus guided by the Holy Ghost, Who dwell in them, to do the right thing at the right time and to act when it is pleasing to God and helpful to men in need of their services, that is, to be truly obedient to the Divine commandment “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself”.
But when the free-thinkers as Nietzsche and others rejected the objective truth and Catholic Dogma, they selected themselves to become their own abomination in front of God and their so called philosophy, human and based on their own perverted experiences of mind and soul, have led them astray from the Truth, and thus into the mire of relativism and other such like obsessive conclusions which are thoroughly opposed to the Laws of God and doctrine of the Church.
And so that’s why the world looks the way it looks today, because of such human philosophical inventions, which are at variance with Divine Law, and even of the Natural Law (for example when it comes to the perversion of sodomites and other such pedophiles and transgender elements, all of them abominable to God), then when these times illustrate the level of the foretold general apostasy, the result is that the heresy of heresies atheism gains so much ground among the perverted people, because there obviously has to be something else which will fill the vacuum they themselves accepted (or created for themselves), when they rejected God and His religion He has revealed and His Roman Catholic Church has always taught and defended and declared.
And so either the human race will, by the grace of God, realize in time that the course of live such people have taken is leading nowhere else but to Hell (heresy, apostasy, indifferentism, apathy, militant atheism – communism), and so then they will necessarily have to come to their own conclusion that God Himself is punishing them for their unbelief and disregard of His Laws, and that without God man can do nothing, and that the self-appointed false teachers of various human doctrines are the false prophets which will at the end burn in Hell alongside the devil, in who’s service they are so vigorously engaged…and God will require payment for such evil.
No wonder communist assets as Harris or Biden have so many willing listeners, and this because the secular state have usurped the power the educate, which it must never have, and that when the state is in charge of education, atheism and communism gains influence, and sooner than later the country is fully transformed into an atheistic communist tyranny, which tragic development is evident today WORLDWIDE.
So that the only way out of this mire of evil is for men to acknowledge the superiority of God over them and to obey the Laws of God and avoid interpreting them by their own blinded intellect, as then those who are rightfully sent to declare the truth of salvation are no longer needed, which, such rejection, opposes the Law of God recorded in the Holy Scripture.
So it is easy to say that the problem of communism exists, but to remove the causes and establish the just safeguards so that communism can never prevail, that is yet another matter – and very few do realize how to proceed to establish that…and thus, God is offended and will not help when they, such people who do reject Him, do cry for help to Him when they themselves are brought under the enslaving tyrannical yoke of that diabolical scourge communism.
It is just around the corner, and these communist criminals, they cheat and lie and steal and murder for their ideological cause, which cause is from Hell and leads there ultimately again…all those who have subscribed to it will face the Divine punishment, and they will regret the day they accepted the mark of the Beast and gave consent to this atheistic communist iniquity – eternally, they will learn it in Hell forever.

I have no idea. The Russians evidently cannot win the war without using nukes.
Why should we fear their leaked threats to nuke us when they already failed to strike after making overt threats. Putin promised unprecedented in world history repercussions 3 or 4 red lines ago, all of which have been crossed by Ukraine long ago.
Because the nuclear stick is to threaten their communist puppets in the West. This article is released to bring fear in the circles of elites and billionaires in the West from offending Russia. My own analysis, in the “Origins of the Fourth World War,” is that the Russian economy could not survive a successful nuclear bombardment of the West. Their economic system depends too much on Western inputs. There are things they cannot do for themselves. It seems they have discovered this and it is holding them back. Chinese spare parts and machine tools are not working as planned.

To wit, note how the Russian media is now quite quiet on the usage of nukes after the Ukraine foray. I still find very strange Ukraine is not using this foray in language or fact to go behind Russian lines as when the Germans went around Maginot through Belgium. It is strange this strategy has never been used and still is not being used apparently despite being available in terms of front line management of the current battles.
The Ukrainian move into Kursk is the equivalent of going around the Maginot Line. The Russians were relying on vacuum bombs to deter a Ukrainian advance there. The Ukrainians neutralized that threat with F16s and anti-air systems and were able to exploit an opening. Russia has suffered a serious defeat. They will not be mounting any major offensives for a long while.
I just noticed the story is actually a bit recycled. Nonetheless, my question about the incursion still stands. People online seem to think it’s comedic that Ukraine is taking Russian territory, but they’re not going to be laughing if Putin launches a nuclear strike on some European city.
Putin would have to be insane to launch such an attack.

Too many negative factors have come into play that I see these people launching a nuclear attack. To do so now chances failure. They can only strike when they feel success is assured.

If you have looked in early history of communism, factionalism is their international pastime. However, all of them are on the same train towards the Huxley’s Brave New World communism. Europe is the first place to experiment Brave New World communism before implementing all over the world. But that did not prevent ‘normal’ citizens from also risking their lives to end their physical imprisonment and thus escape all constraints. I would be careful about saying either Russia or China are going to run out of fighting age men. Even with a falling birthrate, the Chinese will have a plentiful supply for decades to come.
Jeff, I wrote “young men ready to be in the military” not just “young men”—given how much the CCP and the PLA are hated in China, do they dare put weapons and grenades into the hands of those who hate them? As it is, the CCP makes up less than 10% of the population, and young men within the CCP ready to be in the military make up 2–3% of the CCP, they are facing a manpower shortage for their military, if not now, not too far into the future.
They are not in any danger of running out of men available for military service. The regime uses propaganda and coercion. It uses relatives as hostages. The young, who have been in school, are more likely to believe in the regime than their parents.

Israel literally continues selling stolen US techs to Russia and China with impunity. The expression basically translates to “that issue isn’t only black and white”*, to capture the idea that there’s not really “good” or “bad” so much as opposing views, and those views both have some merit. For Russians with negative opinions of the hot-war in Ukraine, they might reflexively counter their pity on the Ukrainians by saying “well, Russia is still a big power with interests that clash with the West, and we should still have our ‘Place in the Sun’ too; Ukraine needs to know its place”.
Instead of seeing both sides of an argument (and recognizing grey areas) to get a better sense of the situation and clarify one’s position, this whole geist is designed to instill apathy, and in the spirit of Russian contradictions, maybe appearing to take multiple contradictory things as true simultaneously on their face, or disregarding them all.
For a more extreme example, here’s an edge case. Imagine a hypothetical scene, a cold, snowy day near the Commie-Blocks. An interviewer is outside asking questions of passerby. The interviewer asks an old Russian babushka if she thinks the Earth is round.
Her response might be: “In school they told us it was round. Why should I still believe them? Round or flat, it doesn’t matter. I recall in 2021 or maybe 2022 there were reports of monkeypox*, and how everyone who had been concerned about COVID became simply exasperated, saying “This? Another disease outbreak?”, and news coverage quickly mentioning that it wasn’t expected to spread nearly as rapidly or to as many populations. Why? Monkeypox is primarily transmitted among those who engage in specific lifestyle – I would imagine few or virtually none of us commenting here would be at risk, as a result.
Monkeypox didn’t monopolize headlines nearly as much, and coverage died out quickly. I can’t remember if any emergencies were declared, but there was barely any reaction beyond incredulity for about twenty seconds…!

Jeff, you spoke briefly about Venezuela on John Moore’s program. I have been following events as reported primarily on Venezuelan Youtube channels, and what is happening is really extraordinary. It reminds me of what I read about the Maidan Revolution of Dignity. I’m not sure if the Anglosphere or other parts of the world are aware of the drama being enacted there by people who have had enough.

To save room here to answer one more pertinent question – regarding Ukraine and also the Islamic terrorism, and the “Muslims” who have immigrated or are crossing into various countries, including the EU and US.
First – the point from the German gentleman is quite good regarding the war in Ukraine, but only so far as the ordinary people are still truly suffering and that the destruction of various places is quite real…but that the possible communist ploy, playing both sides against each other, shouldn’t be discarded. It is always to be remembered that Zelenskiy during his video meeting last year with the EU leadership had raised the communist clenched fist on camera in public, he wore no tie (that’s how communists recognize themselves, even when they say something anti-communist, they know that is it the Party dialectic – deception) and some other points that are somewhat peculiar…but of course Russian KGB propaganda and the somewhat lax military “effort” to defeat Ukraine on part of the KGB/GRU communist leadership is part of the plan as well – mainly to prolong the conflict (or “conflict”), and to drain the economic and military resources of NATO to very low levels, so that then Russian military can actually count on some substantial advancement when they decide to roll more Westward, and or use the mass destruction as a nuclear blackmail tool of those government where their communist controlled opposition is in charge, which means most of the EU and of course Canada and US and Australia (CCP territory)….
Second – If people think that the “Muslims” that come to the Western countries are in fact fundamental Muslims, which is still a false infidel religion, they are mistaken…there are several indications that such countries as Iran, Iraq and now Afghanistan etc. are communist run and have been for some time. Such people, immigrants, must be regarded as committed communists, fully in the service of the worldwide communist revolution. To confirm this point, one can read pg. 56 of the book Red Cocaine, by Dr. Joseph D. Douglass Jr., there in the notes it states that the KGB infiltrated all the leading Muslim centers and agencies, which means communist operations and influence.
There was a video last year of a town-hall meeting of some “school board” in the US. and one of the parents who spoke was a woman formerly from Iran, she verbatim stated that her country was ravished by communism…of course that makes sense, because the KGB was long years active in such circles and practically took them over.
This doesn’t mean that some of these people actually don’t believe in their false god, but that their primary objective is to destroy the existing order and help to install communism instead…with their falsely promised Islamic allowed “beliefs”, which may have been the angle from the Russians to use, i.e. elaborate deception to recruit people who would have otherwise rejected the KGB/GRU advances.

You have to understand that Moscow is fully in charge and the communist Party discipline is so strict that nobody dares to forget it or else such independently thinking and acting person gets his life-clock terminated…which means by any means possible….i.e. (to name a few): car “accident”, boating “accident”, drug “overdose”, poisonous gas (they can drill a hole inside the wall of the house and disperse the poison gas in), now the much used fentanyl, and other mind altering drugs, which means of communist assassination ops is nearly almost endless…
If there could be an advice given – do not trust people who are willfully blind to the truth about communism and who reject the truth that there was never any real collapse of communism in Eastern Europe and Russia, such politicians are either ignorant or they are communist assets fully involved in covering the truth altogether.
Moscow is FULLY in charge, they give the orders what is done and nothing is done what the Kremlin has not approved. If people (politicians included) say otherwise, walk away and remember them and what they said, or rather don’t waste time with them, because the truth is not in them.
When you consider this point, you necessarily come to a serious conclusion that this is the case of the whole US Congress and media that are like this, no need to mention the KGB assets elsewhere, in the executive branch for example….it is too late to restore anything, the KGB intended long-term damage as envisioned by Gramsci and Manuilski, is nearly complete. Not the more important point is how to survive it all when the communist takeover actually becomes reality.

You have the KGB involvement in 9/11, through these assets as Atta and his contacts in Eastern Europe, and meetings there with people who were later found to be involved one way or another, and then the post-Saddam free Iraqi minister of (culture ?) who had a Soviet Bloc communist espionage file, and so on, the source says.
Moscow runs Islamic terrorism, you have the KGB agent Arafat (Pacepa wrote about him), and his PLO, Moscow meeting with the Taliban before the last year Biden’s fiasco (which he was no doubt ordered to do, Russians and CCP were actively trying to lay their hands on the Bahram AFB) which is by far the worst kind of military and political treason, so it all fits the more now.
You have these countries, they pretend to have Muslim “fundamentalist” leadership, and in fact they are committed communist criminals instead – and how many of the Iranian and other such like hostile governments have in them Russian KGB/GRU citizens (able to speak Arabic), that of itself is also important question.
The Euromaidan Revolution is a good example for us. The problem with organizing against communist structures is that the communists immediately send their agents to infiltrate and sabotage a new counter-movement. The most effective kind of organizations, which one needs to oppose the left, are often captured and neutralized by a handful of agents. The Ukrainians learned this lesson after the Orange Revolution, which put Viktor Yushchenko in power. A single leader who people rally around is vulnerable. He can be poisoned, he can be threatened. Pressure can be applied against his family. KGB agents can be insinuated into his inner circle. These can hardly be distinguished from honest people, because acting and faking is relatively easy for trained operatives, and people do not know how to spot operatives. To overcome this problem, the Ukrainians hit on grass roots organization by large numbers of small leaders, who were too insignificant to attract infiltrators. When the trouble started in late 2013 the Yanukovych Government did not realize the grass roots ability to mobilize millions of people. They underestimated this new form of activism, and the many small leaders mobilized citizens without the usual interference.
The Kremlin, of course, used its “friends” in the Obama administration in attempt to sabotage the new government. They annexed Crimea and invaded Donbas, hoping to make the new government collapse in despair. The new Ukrainian parliament largely consisted of new people, from Ukraine’s emerging middle class. They were initially blocked in their reforms by the more skilled bureaucrats and Kremlin agents in the existing structures. But gradually, they began to break the old system down and build a new military despite defeats in Donbas. Ukraine is still heavily infiltrated, and this continues to be a problem. But the spirit of patriotism is strong and this greatly limits the range of action of Kremlin agents in Ukraine. Many have been arrested, many have been shot, since the war began.
The power of bottom-up organizing, through small interlocking groups, really showed itself to be effective in the case of Ukraine. It’s the only way around sophisticated agent networks of infiltrators and saboteurs. This is why Victor Yushchenko was not successful but the nameless small leaders in 2014 succeeded magnificently. Only humble people, sincere people, can do this job. A big personality like Bolsonaro is dangerous to a movement because he can be pressured. He can prove weak. He can fail. Relying on one person cannot work under these circumstances. A broad-based movement is the only way.
Ukraine is a unique country, as the west side is comprised of 3 formerly Catholic nations, Poland, Slovakia and then little bit of Hungarian and perhaps even Romanian influence in the SW corner.
They were sold to Stalin at Yalta, by people as Roosevelt and Churchill and became slaves of Russian Bolsheviks, estimated 40 million people in those territories that Stalin had stolen from them.
The point is that the Catholic heart and soul is still in them, they know that Russian communists are evil, the ordinary Ukrainian people, and they were under the yoke of communism for so long that now it is still hard to break free from their subordinated mindset, so to say, but overall yes, they want to live free and die free.
To compare it to the western hedonistic mindset – quite a difference, because the perversion and public state run (illegitimate) “education” – atheistic brainwashing, is causing the young generation in particular to view this evident communist propaganda and ideology more favorable than the generations in the past.
Some may even say that America (and Europe for that matter) is lost, and in a way one must at least critically consider this point, and in which way it is valid…and so yes, as far as the unity in defending the true honorable values of liberty and justice, the disunity of a nation as the US is quite apparent, and it will become a very very serious obstacle in the active defense as such, or rather to say active anticommunist resistance when the communists begin their march to their evil “victory”.
And the more of the individualistic selfishness and indifferentism and apathy rules the heart of such a targeted nation, the better the chances are of the communists to destroy it, or to bring it under the yoke of communist atheistic slavery.
I caught a snippet of the “face” of the Venezuelan resistance, Maria Corina Machado, describing, as I recall, a decentralized and under the radar organization of small resistance groups in the run-up to the election. I speak tentatively because I am not sure of my facts, but this rings a bell with me, and it resonates because it parallels what Jeff said above about successfully combatting the Communist apparatus. I will see if I can track down something to substantiate my impression of what she said.

Jeff, about moving, at least consider a county with a “constitutional sheriff”. I live in a fluorescent blue state and my sheriff declined to charge people who went unmasked. Once, in line at a supermarket checkout, four masked deputies in front of me were joking and laughing and paid me no attention at all, or the other unmasked customers.
Also, during the BLM riots, he proactively stationed National Guard vehicles at prominent locations to avert trouble. (The inflamed state capital was below our nearest common border in the valley.)
Where these (generalized) sheriffs failed the people was in not arresting any public health officials during covid. Medical freedom activists with attorneys visited some of these sheriffs, but courage was lacking.
If Harris takes the Presidency next year, then moving may not matter any more; but, Whitmore and Harris will certainly make a most lethal combination.

In Michigan here they would have pushed forcible injections if they could have. But we fought the boards of health. There was an ugly political battle at the local level. I had some participation. Greek philosophy and Biblical teaching are at war with each other. No, I’m not talking about logic, because both use logic. Rather that the basis for their uses of logic differ significantly. Greek based philosophy, when taken to its logical conclusion, inevitably leads to nihilism. Biblical teaching recognizes that at the Fall, when Adam and Eve ate the fruit, that all was corrupted including their ability to reason, therefore reality is a necessary check on unreasonable thinking.
The opposition to Biblical teaching is hubris, that everyone wants to be his own god. The Bible teaches that everyone must bend his knee to the creator of the universe. Then only can we rise above the pettiness of our individual lives.

Mao and the example of China—I knew a Mr. Wang (not the same as Mr. Wang of Lude Media) who was a former Zen monk from before the communist conquest of China, he told that many Zen masters had internalized the nihilism that there is no truth, no absolutes in morality and reality. They were popularly known as “demon kings” because of their cruelty. Even followers of Confucius had internalized that same nihilism—that the teachings of Confucianism were to be followed not because they were true, but because they are useful as suggestions, not absolute rules. Such a people were defenseless against communist persuasion. Today, many of their descendants are in despair—jobless, homeless, broke, even going through trash bins for food. They see the CCP as unable to provide for their needs. At the same time it oppresses them.
As to the progression of German popular thought, the seeds that led to the popular support of Nazi regime were planted already in the 1800s. They practiced genocide based on race already in Namibia 1905–1908. Their focus had shifted from the individual to the race. Enter a socialist demagogue who played the race card…
As for “science”—what is that? Its definition has changed since when I studied at the university. When I studied at the university, there was only one definition that was repeated in all the science textbooks that had the definition (though already not all “scientists” followed that definition). But today, there are three or four contradictory definitions.
Is there a practical way to oppose communism? I know my answer won’t be popular among many. Teach, teach, teach the Bible, all of it. It’s the only source that I know of that has both the theoretical framework as to why we should do what we do, and the practical application of the theory. In a society where the theory is widely accepted and the application is expected, even those who don’t believe the theoretical framework most will yet accept the practical application as the best way to live. Biblical theory is the only one that is able to balance both the individual and society. Socialism usually unjustly squashes the individual in favor of the masses. Extreme individualism becomes selfishness that loses sight of society. The balance is needed, and the Bible has the only theoretical framework that I know of that balances both. As a result, those who are firmly grounded in all of the Bible, oppose both socialism and extreme individualism.
Agree with your formula, which is well stated: “balance both the individual and society. Extreme individualism becomes selfishness that loses sight of society. The balance is needed…” And yes, I do believe in God and I do pray to Him. However, I would not characterize myself as religious, at least in the stereotypical way.

I have been wracking my brain on a book other than the Bible that would do a better job of combatting Marx, Lenin, Mao and the kaboodle of Satan’s assistants, but you are right. The Bible is first, of course.
But is there a text that encapsulates American political thought? What makes the ideal way and traditional ways of hashing out political differences American? What are those principles? Who writes of them?
The book on which the Framers probably relied most in making the Constitution was a Greek book, written by Polybius. His famous description of the constitution of the Roman Republic persuaded the Framers of the importance of checks and balances. Also, he stressed the essential role of religion and the belief in “the punishments of Hades.” It was at the Virginia ratifying convention that Polybius was referred to as having, through these and other ideas, inspired the thinking behind the U.S. Constitution.

Regarding the loss of social cohesion in the US: old people are careful to push only the door lock button on the key fob when they leave their cars, but young people – who catch on to new gadgets faster – push all the buttons together, including the horn button. The lights blink when the doors lock remotely; the horn sound is not needed for confirmation. It seems that the young have become inconsiderate of the people around them, who are startled, distracted, or even deafened by the horn sound. This is a step toward solipsism. As “R.O.” said above of the Chinese: “defenseless against communist persuasion.”
Astute observation. It is inconsiderate to test locks with the horn with pedestrians in near vicinity, as it can be quite startling. Some might take for granted that if the car can do it, then it must be okay. What’s worse is cutting pedestrians off in the crosswalk when they have the light and the right of way. Perhaps without realizing that we have become accustomed to behaving rudely due to modern technology driving us to act accordingly, so when drivers run red lights or masters let their dogs off leash, it’s the result of a deadening of a conscience to consideration of others?

Mr. Nyquist, does it seem to you that the Man From Space Vipin Narang is Signaling (Running Up the Flag Pole) a new U.S. nuclear weapons posture for Pacific and, or, Europe? The Man From Space Vipin Narang gave a recent presentation at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, whose Project on Nuclear Issues hosted an event for nuclear experts. Narang said, “The growth in the number of Chinese strategic targets alone I think, leads one to the conclusion that a modernization program sized for a completely different security environment may need to be reassessed in sort of the multiple, nuclear challenger world.”
He is referring to the idea that each silo for a new Chinese nuclear ICBM, each mobile ICBM, each strategic submarine, or nuclear-capable, strategic bomber is a target for a nuclear weapon.
Narang last week, voiced concern about “covering” nuclear weapons targets.
“As the security environment continues to deteriorate, and you have the multiple challenger problem, you don’t want to have to rely on triad or strategic forces to deter in the Indo-Pacific,” he said, “especially with the growth in Chinese forces — which would leave strategic targets uncovered.”
The answer to covering China’s non-strategic nuclear weapons, according to Narang, is “essentially a SLCM-N. It has to be – in the maritime [Indo-Pacific] environment, you can’t have forward land presence [U.S. tactical nuclear-capable fighter-bombers] in the way that we have in Europe.”
In Europe, Narang pointed out, “We’re completing the modernization of NATO nuclear capabilities through the transition to the fifth-generation F-35 [nuclear-capable, fighter-bombers] and the B61-12 [new nuclear bomb with more accuracy and limited stand-off guidance capability], which are bolstering the military effectiveness and the credibility of the deterrent.”
Narang described the SLCM-N and B61-12 as “regional capabilities, you know, primarily for regional contingencies.”
