Comments on the capitol Incursion
As everyone knows, there were large pro-Trump crowds at the Capitol building yesterday. An element from the crowd broke into the building. The police lost control. A woman was shot and killed by the Capitol Police. Among those who gained access to the building were these folks, above (in the picture). Are they Antifa/BLM? The picture above is suggestive. The man with what appears to be a Hammer & Sickle on the back of his hand doesn’t have the right symbol set for a Trump supporter. The man with the horns has been identified as Jake Angel or Jake Angeli or Jacob Chansely from Phoenix. Why so many names? According to 12 News in Phoenix Angel/Angeli/Chansley has been seen “at numerous rallies, marches and events throughout the past year, ranging from Trump rallies to BLM marches.” Is he a political switch-hitter? Angel/Angeli/Chansley is said to shout QAnon-related slogans, like “Q Sent Me.” Mainstream media takes all this as proof that he is a QAnon supporter. Whatever his real name is, he certainly wants us to think he supports Trump.

I spoke to people who were at the Capitol when the events went down. They are suspicious about the folks who broke into the building. Trump supporters knew the deliberations inside the building were vital to their cause. Why would they interrupt or disrupt the deliberations?
Sadly, the process of public debate was suspended as congressmen were evacuated from the Capitol. Who was at fault? Nancy Pelosi says Trump was at fault. Of course she does. All the same: Anyone can pose as a Trump supporter.
However we understand the event, it in no way compares to the violence of last summer, either in scale or in its intimidation value. Look at what happened at the White House with the injured Secret Service agents when Antifa showed up. Did the mainstream media strongly condemn the real rioting that then occurred? Now CNN presents what happened at the Capitol as “terrorism.” Even if knuckleheaded Trump supports were responsible, it doesn’t rise to the level of what Antifa has done.
The hypocrisy of the media is on full display. The communists get a free pass. Patriots are automatically guilty of terrorism. So this is the outcome: The President’s rally has been converted into an act of “treason.” Was it wise to invite hundreds of thousands of supporters to a city ruled by a hostile mayor, to a city where cell phone coverage could be cut off, where a hostile media would control the narrative? In retrospect, the event backfired badly.
Who got arrested during this event? Did any of the characters in the above picture get arrested? Anyone can attend Trump rallies in a costume. Anyone can shout QAnon slogans. Why did Jake Angel (or whoever he is) attend BLM events, as claimed by 12 News in Phoenix? Does the fat guy standing next to “Jake” really have a hammer & sickle tattoo?
It sure looks like it, though some say it’s a Mark of the Outsider tattoo. One thing is for sure, however; the little guy on the other side of the picture is dressed in black, just like an Antifa rioter. If they are Trump supporters, they are freakish ones.
P.S. – We have better information about what happened at the Capitol. The reader thread below offers many excellent corrections and clarifications. On the morning of 6 January I wrote that we were going to start learning about ourselves as well as the Marxists. We learned plenty on 6 January. We learned that our leaders do not have a master plan. We learned that a mob is a mob. We learned that intelligent leadership is missing.

Was the assault on the Capitol building a false flag? « Jon Rappoport’s Blog (nomorefakenews.com)

Was Yesterday’s Brawl At The U.S. Capitol A False Flag Operation? (conservativehq.org) – The comments on this one are very interesting. The first person to comment, “dgj,” objects to the idea that these photographs prove Antifa was there. Read the response from Stephen Clark:
Hello dgj, Your comment is uninformed, we were there. Antifa showed up in 4 white vans escorted right up to the Capitol by fake police vehicles. This was planned. They were wearing helmets and black outfits with a touch of Trump gear. We Trump supporters do not wear helmets and we do not destroy property. The entire day was beautiful and peaceful until they showed up. This entire staged event was to stain Trump and all of us who support America. Notice that Congress is now using this event to justify their votes on electors. It is all planned. You should have been there to speak with the hundreds of Vietnamese people who know what Communism will do to our country. We have 13 days to save ourselves. Research it!
It’s on the left hand of the fat dude on the left.
Antifa gets away with another riot, and Trump gets the blame. There is a color revolution for you!
Thanks guys.
There’s plenty of imagery of those 2 at various ANTIFA riots/locations. Disgraceful the media refuses to expose it.
Pravda.
Only it’s not a hammer and sickle. It’s an Outsider tattoo from the video game Dishonored. However, the man pictured is, from what I’ve seen, associated with Antifa in Philadelphia. So he’s an avid gamer and Antifa member – both out of touch with reality.
Interesting.
I increased the size of the image and could see it was not the standard hammer and sickle, so thank you for identifying it as something from a video game. I would think most Trump supporters don’t have much time to play video games, because they are working to support themselves and their families.
And here’s a closeup of the guy’s hand (same picture, only with the hand enlarged):

Jeff, real dark times it’s coming.
What we need is some light.
The event should not be condemned in any way, since, after all, the Left never condemned ANTIFA/BLM occupying government buildings in 2011 and also more recently, or even destroying government buildings.
Conservatives seem to feel the compulsion to disavow any sort of unruly protesting, even calling our own people “terrorists” as Ted Cruz did today. I don’t really understand this. At the end of the day, even if there were ANTIFA infiltrators who might have led the crowd, the crowd at large was definitely our people. The hero, Babbit, who got murdered in cold blood, was a 14 year Veteran and a Trump supporter.
What she did was against the law, but, who cares? The law has failed. The nation has fallen. One might as well be scandalized at offending some ancient command of Rome at this point. If the law is not for us, we must begin the process of making our own law, such as secession, even though I foresee that China and Russia would take advantage of this. Perhaps the faster we can split the nation, the sooner we can unite the nation under a new government and save our nuclear stockpiles from being obliterated. I don’t think any secession can be done that won’t result in civil war and one side triumphing over the other.
Great comment, Ricardo. But I disagree that Ashli broke the law, mainly because it is yet to be determined what she did for the police to target and shoot her, but more so – her First Amendment right to free assembly should not be contested. She was unarmed, but protesting. Why has she broken the law when so many others were rioting and getting away with it.
The other thing I’d like to point out (and yes it is my opinion); politicians and media hacks are calling yesterday’s events “un-American” when actually, they were the most American thing we’ve seen since President Trump was elected. It took 4 years for the pot to boil over, which in itself is amazing, but boil over it has, and did.
This isn’t over.
These are important points to consider. Who was Ashli? Why did she go into the Capitol? She was definitely a Trump supporter, judging by her social media accounts. She tried to crawl through a window when the Capitol building was being breached. She was a QAnon supporter, which places her in the category of “conspiracy theorist.” Did she know the people she was with? Were the people who breached the building QAnon extremists? That is a one theory (or a partial explanation for events) based on the evidence. Ashli evidently held revolutionary views, being motivated by a concern for abused children — all based on a rumor of rampant pedophilia. Lin Wood has been feeding this rumor. Does he have proof? If he had proof, he should have shown it already. This is what always bothers me about these conspiracy people. When you look at the proofs, they aren’t really proofs. The whole thing dissolves into more rumor. If QAnon was honest, he would not be anon. Please keep that point in mind. Sadly, Ashli probably fell under the spell of a modern myth (which certainly has a grain of truth to it). But political actions must be based on positive knowledge. To box with shadows is madness. Yet that is what she was doing when she crawled through that window in the Capitol. And she brought great harm to herself and to the patriotic cause. What could be more tragic than a person with good motives and a misguided sense of what to do? I have always warned against Conspiracism. Paranoid rumors are counter-productive. These are not going to get you to right action, but draw you into a paranoid world of delusion. One ought to demand proof. The truth is about KNOWING. And knowledge doesn’t come from a joker dropping clues on social media.
Re: Lyn Wood.
He’s clearly a conspiracy kook, and his statements have done nothing but harm. But I’m not going to say Ashli got sucked into a lie and lost her life as a result. If you’ve seen the video, there is no justification whatsoever for how she was killed. The guy was hiding in a corner and sprung out to shoot Ashli, who had two cops with long guns standing right behind her.
Let’s face it, the shooter was looking to murder someone and wanted an excuse.
I saw a video where she was shot crawling through a window. Are we talking about the same thing.
The video I’m talking about is a side view, here: https://twitter.com/1stacyphillips/status/1347094167411806211
I don’t think jumping on that door warranted getting a bullet in her neck. No one else was forcing the door and there were two cops with long guns standing right behind her, a little bit down the stairs, who were herding the people down.
I’m usually on the side of the cops. In fact, almost 100% of the time. But I can’t see this shoot as anything other than the guy sitting just out of visibility to deliberately put a bullet in her. Notice he wasn’t presenting himself in front of her or in front of the door and demanding she get back.
Also saw some other videos of Trump supporters, even ones just standing around and cooperating, getting rag dolled into the pavement or into walls.
Way different ROE than usual.

Jeff, while I agree with you that the pedophilia rumors were mostly without evidence, when all the Podesta and Hillary rumors of Pizzagate were going on I saw something about a Portland shop called Voodoo Doughnuts and decided to see what was going on myself. They have a motto of “the secret is in the hole” and sure enough, they were selling clothing with that motto. But the “fun” part was they used very young girl models wearing panties with that motto in the online store. Most had the appearance of exploited youth. It has been cleaned up since then, but it was clearly disgusting. The super rich also have their yachts filled with pleasure girls. A coworker once told me a story about invited by the owner for a short trip on one after he finished a job at a factory. These things are quite common.
Yes, I am sure there are bad things going on. But we must stick to facts and not lose track of the country’s overseas enemies who use all forms of corruption to advance their cause. That includes pedophilia and illegal drugs.
As the facts are obscured or lost, as our questions fade in time, each side in the conflict will mythologize the event. The left will say the events of January 6 represented a “terrorist attack on democracy.” The right will say it was a righteous boiling over of patriotic outrage. What is the truth? We are the victims of a communist strategy of “divide and conquer.” Most people cannot understand this; yet, one day, they will. One day this whole thing will come into better focus. So we must keep our cool. Strategy is a real thing, and we must learn to play a better game. We cannot win by playing the enemy’s game.
Excellent analysis, Jeff. Thank you.
The event on the capital culminated in blame on both/and each side. seems like a perfectly executed 5th column of intermingling. and were instructions given to the police as well which contributed to confusion?
At this point Jeff, I am starting to hope for secession.
I am usually on the same side as you, but this time I will have to disagree. The symbol in the hand of the guy on the left comes from a videogame called disonored. The one on the right, dressed as barbarian, came to BLM riots, but as a member of qAnon against them (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/ErFITDNW8AA-m1y?format=jpg&name=medium), as images from the riot indicate, and is just a crazy man (https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/13678365/who-jake-angeli-horned-capitol-protestor-trump-supporter/). In a crowd of millions of it is not unusual for things to get out of control and awkward people to appear.
To be honest, in my view, most of those people are just patriots deluded with the corruption of American bureaucracy. It is really obvious that the politicians would not audit the election results in conformity to the constitution. The normal pathways of democracy are closed and people are seeing it with their bare eyes.
Not that I am advocating for doing such a random invasion. Those kind of things should be estrategically thought in order to be sucessful. But the rationale behind it is logical and legit. People are just outraged and don’t trust the institutions no longer.
“People are just outraged and don’t trust the institutions”
Agreed. They feel helpless to change things. There is video of several different protesters inside the Capitol who yelled “you did this to us” and “you wouldn’t listen to us”. People who feel desperate sometimes do desperate things. 🙁
It may turn out the incursion into the Capitol was done entirely by QAnon believers. Whatever the facts show in this case, the communists do make use of agent provocateurs, they do infiltrate patriotic crowds, and if the government is run by Marxists they will lump all patriots together as a threat (which many of Obama’s appointees have done). On the other hand we ought to consider that most people in government (below management level) are still open to reason. If I am wrong about this, then we are headed for a tragic end. Certainly, the people who staff the government ought to realize why we are afraid of their growing power as much as they fear our anger at their policies. Oh yes, they think Trump voters are victims of brainwashing. The patriots think the same is true of Biden voters. Naturally, we believe our media sources of information and they believe theirs. I know that I am not right about everything, especially when it is something that happened within the last 48 hours. How could I have all the facts so early? My expectations color how I look at the events. This is true for everyone, and that is why we all should step back and wait a little, and try to be reasonable. We know the election had many irregularities. We know that the Supreme Court refused to hear the evidence. Our institutions appear to be breaking down. The same kind of people who cut short my academic career for being critical of Marxism in graduate school dominate our institutions today. I know how these people think. I know this thinking will probably sink the country. I see them as I knew them in school: blinded by leftist “thinking”; unable to see the danger from China and Russia. Last night I received an email from the Czech Republic about Russia’s military buildup opposite Ukraine. The balance of power is tilting against us as we become more divided and as the left weakens our military through their ever misguided policies. How do we solve this? You are right, of course, that Congress wasn’t going to overturn the election. But it was our only chance to debate the issue of election fraud publicly, with the whole country watching, to show we are not crazy. That debate was cut short. Now patriotic people are once again depicted as dangerous extremists. This sets us up for a divide-and conquer game we cannot win.
Agree, Jeff; even though it pains me to the core. Even wisdom fails me at this point. I’m spending the weekend in prayer (next week will be worse for authentic, long-term-thinking Conservatives and God is the only power that can re-charge ones soul).
Best to you and All who gather here.
I believe by March we will all be rejoicing. Hang in there and keep praying.

Over the years I have thought that if we reached a point such as the one one we have just reached, that the only thing that could save the country would be the rise of a Caesar Augustus.
Definitely a double-edged sword if it did happen, as the Republic would end, but the country would be saved.
Trump was the last chance of staying a Republic, but the swamp is too deep and wide spread. Where is the DDT/Agent Orange when we need it the most.
Caesarism is a degenerative condition.
I do agree with that. The events unfolding are definetely something out of the curve. I am very pesimistic about this, but any prediction would be precipitated and good signs are also visible. People on the american right are starting to grow a great level of conscience of the real issue and last time I saw something like this, the all powerful workers party in Brazil got purged from the government (and continue to lose space every election)… A reaction surely will come, but not sure if China won’t come first.
Yes. It’s hard not to fear the worst.
I recall you wrote about (in Fourth World war) the rise of Caesardom, many many little Caesars. Now I know how it happens first hand: you reach a point where your country has degenerated to such an extent that it’s better than the status quo! Let’s hope our Caesar isn’t a communist plant, at least.
I think this current level of disorientation leaves us vulnerable to our overseas enemies.
Hello South Africa II – they are doing to you exactly what they did to us. Once Biden is in charge conservative America is doomed.
Many of us have that feeling.

What we have seen since November is that the swamp is as deep as the Marianas Trench and as wide as the Siberian steppes. Trump, evidently never had much of a chance, although he did accomplish quite a bit and definitely upset the apple cart in DC. Even those that seemed to be on Trump’s side in Congress or in the bureaucracy, were doing so in a very subtle way, as when it came down to action, there was none.
Very disappointed with Mike Pence, although at the same time, with all the threats that were probably being made against those that seemed to support Trump and also against their families, I guess the Stalinist tactics prevailed.
At least now we know without a doubt that our government has been very much controlled by soft-Communists for a very long time, which has now unfortunately opened the door for the hard-Communists to start moving in.
Not sure what to expect over the coming year, but do not expect it to be good.
Perhaps, the anticipated secession of States and possible open civil war, hard to say but the light at the end of the tunnel appears to be dimming.
“House Speaker Nancy Pelosi revealed on Friday that she’s spoken to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley about preventing President Trump from ordering a nuclear strike.”
This seems “unusual.”
Given the military positioning of China and Russia, this is not an encouraging approach to deterrence.

The invasion of the U.S. Capitol building Wednesday was shocking in many respects, as was the continued determination of some members of Congress to obstruct the certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the wake of these violent actions. Now the question is: How should the federal government respond? It is clear the current administration will do nothing; Congress abdicated all responsibility for reaction and declared a recess. When Biden takes office on Jan. 20, he and his administration will be tasked with responding. And when they do, they should look not to 1876, as many politicians and commentators have been arguing, but to 1871.
That year, Congress and President Ulysses S. Grant initiated a campaign to punish members of the Ku Klux Klan. This terrorist organization, founded in 1868 in Tennessee in defense of white supremacy, had spread across the South in a matter of months. Klan members convened at night, donned disguises and rode through the countryside beating, whipping, raping and killing Black (and some White) Southerners who dared claim their rights provided by the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments in the aftermath of the Civil War.
In response to this escalating violence, Congress passed the first Enforcement Act in May 1870. This legislation reasserted the rights of male citizens to vote and made it illegal to “hinder, delay, prevent, or obstruct” those rights by “force, bribery, threats, intimidation, or other unlawful means.” It also explicitly outlawed the tactics of the Ku Klux Klan, deeming it a felony for two or more people to conspire together “or go in disguise upon the public highway” to violate the rights of their fellow citizens.
And yet, violent assaults on Black and White Republican voters only escalated, reaching a peak before and after the midterm elections. As a result, the next year, Congress passed two additional enforcement acts. These enabled the federal government to exert pressure on states denying their citizens equal protection and voting rights. The third act brought Klan violence under federal jurisdiction, and allowed Grant to declare that actions that sought to overthrow or defy federal authority constituted a “rebellion against the government of the United States.” To suppress this rebellion, the president could lawfully suspend the privileges of the writ of habeas corpus, allowing military authorities to arrest Klan members immediately.
Congress also formed a joint committee to investigate the Klan’s actions in the South. It held hearings, and in the summer of 1871, sent bipartisan subcommittees to cities to take the testimony of Black and White Republican voters whom the Klan had attacked. In South Carolina, witnesses and spectators crowded into the hallways and meeting rooms where the subcommittee met, bearing witness to the bravery of Klan victims who appeared to tell their stories. As the historian Kidada E. Williams has argued, these witnesses made “bold decisions to risk their lives and their credibility and to recover their agency and resist violence by proclaiming their trauma to strangers.” In so doing, they laid the groundwork for the Southern Black community’s continued mobilization against White supremacy after 1871.
As the joint committee prepared to publish its report and thousands of pages of victim testimony, Grant’s attorney general, Amos Akerman, planned for prosecution.
Akerman had been appointed to his post in the summer of 1870 and placed at the head of the recently established Justice Department. A resident of Georgia, he was the only Southerner in Grant’s Cabinet, and the only former Confederate officer.
Ackerman knew his fellow White Southerners well: “Nothing is more idle than to attempt to conciliate by kindness that portion of the Southern people who are still malcontent,” he said. “They take all kindness of the part of the government as evidence of timidity, and hence are emboldened to lawlessness by it. It appears impossible for the government to win their affection. But it can command their respect by the exercise of its powers.”
The best course of action, Akerman argued to Grant, was to choose one state as a target for arrests and prosecutions to serve as an example of the federal government’s dedication to defending civil rights. After determining that enough evidence of Klan violence in South Carolina existed to begin the process, he notified the president. In October 1871, enabled by the third enforcement act, Grant declared that the most violent of South Carolina’s counties were in a state of insurrection and suspended the writ. Military forces fanned out across the countryside, arresting suspected Klan members and jailing them.
During the South Carolina KKK trials, which began in November 1871 in Columbia, federal attorneys successfully prosecuted hundreds of Klan members for conspiracy to deprive citizens of their voting rights. Newspapers across the country covered the trials, often publishing the testimony and legal arguments verbatim. In 1872, the federal government published complete transcripts of the trials for distribution to members of Congress and the public.
“The entire country is watching with unusual interest and anxiety,” one of the federal attorneys declared. “This trial and its results stretch far beyond the interests of every citizen, and go down to the very foundations of our American liberty and government.”
The actions that the federal government took in 1871 signaled its willingness to defend the constitutional rights of the nation’s citizens, Black and White, and to protect them against violence. The combined efforts of Congress, Grant and Akerman and his team of federal attorneys drove the KKK underground for several years.
The effects of these actions were, unfortunately, only temporary. Congress grew tired of focusing on Southern violence, and by 1874, the Justice Department ceased its prosecutions of Klan members. As Akerman (whom Grant fired in December 1871) told a friend, Black Southerners should no longer look to the federal government for aid. “The Northern mind, being full of what is called progress,” he observed, “runs away from the past.”
This federal abandonment of the defense of civil rights is one of the great horrors and tragedies of our nation’s history. But the events of 1871 provide essential historical lessons for the Biden administration and our legislators today.
First, there is precedent for holding those who participated in the attack on the Capitol, and those who aided and abetted it, legally responsible.
Second, this is not just a judicial matter, it is a political one, too. Investigations, arrests and prosecutions signal that such actions are unacceptable in our democracy. And that is why widely publicizing the details of these transgressions matters as well.
Finally, as Akerman understood in 1871, conciliation is not an option. Biden has signaled that his administration is willing to take action. On Thursday, in his introduction of Merrick Garland as his nominee for attorney general, Biden noted the role the Justice Department played in prosecuting the KKK and argued that “this original spirit must again guide and animate its work.”
This commitment to racial justice is vital. For the silence and inaction of our political leaders will only embolden the white-supremacist mob, undermine democracy and endanger those who have fought hardest to secure freedom for themselves – and for all Americans.

Important article, Wade. It identifies patriotic Americans with the KKk. This is a disturbed piece of writing from the Post.
Biden calling us “domestic terrorists” today. So much for the two seconds of “let’s unify America!” spouted by him and his lying ilk.
He called Hawley and Cruz Nazis.

BREAKING NEWS
President-elect Joe Biden plans to release nearly all available vaccine doses, instead of holding second shots back, in an attempt to speed delivery.
Friday, January 8, 2021 11:35 AM EST
Because both of the coronavirus vaccines that have emergency approval require two doses, the Trump administration has been holding back roughly half of its supply to ensure those already vaccinated receive the booster dose.
But the vaccine rollout has been troubled from the start.
Read the latest: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/08/world/biden-plans-to-release-nearly-all-available-doses-in-an-attempt-to-speed-vaccinations.html
The current vaccines are mRNA based. Moderna tried to use mRNA to find cancer (and other) cures, but long term trials failed with many bad reactions after continued doses. When COVID-19 surfaced, Moderna switched to trying to make a vaccine because it would only require one or two doses and the bad reactions would be reduced. The FDA has never approved any mRNA vaccine and now both the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines are both approved for emergency use. Sounds to me like the system (FDA) has been gamed. If the first dose doesn’t get you, the second is usually worse.
I am worried about this.
My cousin’s hubby, 6’3 and a body builder (not as big as Eddie Hall but getting there) took the vaccine and was sick for a week. Might as well have had Covid considering how bad he got. I think different people have different reactions, but I’m not interested in becoming a test dummy for this stuff.
JUST LIKE TRUMP REPEATELY APPOINTING HIS PEOPLE TO PENTAGON POSITIONS WITHIN THE LAST TWO TO THREE MONTHS, KNOWING THEY WILL BE DISMISSED WHEN BIDEN COMES IN; WHY IS PELOSI SO HELL BENT TO IMPEACH AGAIN WHEN TRUMP IS OUT IN 12 DAYS ANY WAY?
SOMETHING IS NOT ADDING UP. RIGHT IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE.
I think it prefigured his arrest on leaving office.,
I read somewhere that the reason Pelosi’s trying to impeach when Trump is so close to leaving office anyway is that it would keep him from being allowed ever to run for president again.
I think they want to destroy him and crush his followers.
Are they trying to deliberately provoke conservatives in this country to start bombing and shooting politicians? If I’m in a state of perpetual rage, being the most laid back individual on planet Earth, imagine how the rest of the country is doing!
If they suspend all our civil liberties because of a handful of knuckleheads, then all our fears about leftists being totalitarians are justified. When they call you a terrorist and criminal for disagreeing with them, then you know that freedom is over.
Minuteman III Missiles Are Too Old to Upgrade Anymore, STRATCOM Chief Says
https://www.military.com/daily-news/2021/01/06/minuteman-iii-missiles-are-too-old-upgrade-anymore-stratcom-chief-says.html

Military.com | By Richard Sisk
The aging Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles that have formed the land-based leg of the nation’s nuclear deterrent triad for half a century can no longer be upgraded and require costly replacements, Adm. Charles Richard, head of U.S. Strategic Command, said Tuesday.
“Let me be very clear: You cannot life-extend the Minuteman III [any longer],” he said of the 400 ICBMs that sit in underground silos across five states in the upper Midwest.
“We can’t do it at all. … That thing is so old that, in some cases, the drawings don’t exist anymore [to guide upgrades],” Richard said in a Zoom conference sponsored by the Defense Writers Group.
Where the drawings do exist, “they’re like six generations behind the industry standard,” he said, adding that there are also no technicians who fully understand them. “They’re not alive anymore.”
Richard rejected suggestions by several think tanks that the incoming Biden administration should consider life extensions for the Minuteman IIIs as a cost-saving measure, delaying replacement with new missiles called the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD).
“I don’t understand, frankly, how someone in a think tank, who actually doesn’t have their hands on the missile looking at the parts, the cables, all of the pieces inside” can make judgments on the way forward, he said.
With new GBSD missiles built by Northrop Grumman, “we will replace a 60-year-old, basically circuit switch system with a modern, cyber-defendable, up to current standards command and control system,” Richard explained.
But he had a different take on life extensions for the B-52 Stratofortress bomber fleet, saying that current modernization programs for the B-52H versions of the bomber, which can carry nuclear weapons, are “going quite well.” The aircraft was developed in the 1940s and entered the Air Force inventory in the 1950s.
He said he wants to add command-and-control improvements into the B-52H modernization program but overall, “I’m satisfied with where we are with that.”
According to the Defense Department, the nuclear triad’s bomber force currently consists of 46 nuclear-capable B-52H bombers and 20 B-2A Spirit aircraft. The undersea leg consists of 14 Ohio-class submarines, each equipped with Trident II missiles; and the land leg consists of the 400 Minuteman IIIs.
In assessing the effectiveness of the nation’s nuclear deterrent, Richard warned of Russia and China’s growing capabilities and the challenges ahead for the U.S.
“What’s different in the world today than it was, say, back in the Cold War [is the fact that] this nation has never before had to face the prospect of two near-peer, nuclear-capable adversaries who have to be deterred differently,” he said. “Actions done to deter one have an impact on the other. This is way more complicated than it used to be.”
The U.S. also must contend with the divergent worldviews of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, he said, explaining, “Putin makes decisions differently than Xi.”
Richard said he has made his concerns known in several meetings with President-elect Joe Biden’s transition teams. Without giving specifics, he said the meetings had “gone very well” and added that he is open to a review of the nation’s current nuclear strategy, should the incoming administration find it necessary.
The 2018 Nuclear Posture Review, conducted by then-Defense Secretary Jim Mattis on the order of President Donald Trump, called for a $1.2 trillion modernization of the triad, with an estimated $85 billion going to the new GBSD missile system.
The review stated that all three legs of the triad will be vital to the nation’s defense for the foreseeable future. “Eliminating any leg of the triad would greatly ease adversary attack planning and allow an adversary to concentrate resources and attention on defeating the remaining two legs,” it said.
One of the review’s controversial recommendations was a call for the development of small-yield nuclear weapons to be placed on ballistic submarines to counter Russia’s stockpile of small-yield weapons.
Last January, the Federation of American Scientists reported that a small-yield W76-2 Trident submarine warhead had been deployed aboard the Ohio-class submarine Tennessee. The Navy declined to confirm the deployment.
Richard said he looks forward to a discussion with the incoming administration on small-yield weapons as part of a new review of the nuclear deterrence mission.
“I welcome an examination of the nation’s strategy here,” he said. “I recommend that, based on the threat. … The threat is moving so fast that, even given the [short] time since the last Nuclear Posture Review, [it] warrants another look at it to make sure that we still endorse our strategy, and we have sufficient capability to execute that strategy.”
He said STRATCOM is “prepared to execute whatever the political leadership of this nation would like to do.”

Yes, let us study the GBSD for 10 years but ground all 400 of the dangerous unreliable Minuteman III ICBMs TODAY.
It is coming, I can almost guarantee it.
I fear you are exactly right.
This is what frightens me the most. This is why I object so strenuously to Biden. I believe he will not fix our deterrent. And that could be the end of the country.
Well, Jeff, that is all they had to do, wait for our weapons to become what so many of theirs did, of course we paid them for and paid them well.
Remember those 50 new MX “Peacekeepers” we dug out of the ground, almost nobody does.
I think we are a lot closer to the “beginning of the end” than to the “end of the beginning.”
Congratulations, Jeff, you earned it.
To see this coming, even 33 years ago, was hardly rocket science. It only required a little curiosity and logic.
Actually, if you will pardon the “pun,” it was “rocket science.”
Few withstood the wilderness of mirrors and disinformation presented by the “Fall of Communism” and Globalism scams as well as the cultural modifications and psychological warfare.
Even fewer presented a decades long series of columns and discussions analyzing the entire current and eddies of this “flood.”
To accomplish this with negative reimbursement for your efforts is astounding.
Once again, BRAVO. I know the effort has not been without costs, significant ones.
It’s nice to be appreciated. Thank you.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the House would move to impeach President Trump over his role in inciting a violent mob if he did not resign “immediately.”
Friday, January 8, 2021 12:54 PM EST
In a letter to members of the House, Ms. Pelosi invoked the resignation of Richard M. Nixon amid the Watergate scandal, when Republicans prevailed upon the president to resign and avoid the ignominy of an impeachment, calling Mr. Trump’s actions a “horrific assault on our democracy.”

House Democrats Set to Introduce New Articles of Impeachment Against Trump on Monday, Report Says
https://sputniknews.com/us/202101081081707872-house-democrats-set-to-introduce-new-articles-of-impeachment-against-trump-on-monday-report-says/
At least one of the articles of impeachment against US President Donald Trump related to the January 6 insurrection is expected to be introduced in the US House of Representatives on Monday, according to a Reuters report.
According to the report, the impeachment has been drafted by Reps. David Cicilline (D-RI), Ted Lieu (D-CA), and Jamie Raskin (D-MD).
The motion will charge Trump with abuse of power “by willfully inciting violence against the government of the United States.”

The same exact charge, on the same grounds, could be brought against the Democrat leaders for last summer’s riots in Washington and Antifa/BLM’s attack on the White House.
US Justice Department Does Not Forsee Incitement Charges Against Trump Over Capitol Riots
https://sputniknews.com/us/202101081081707831-us-justice-department-does-not-forsee-incitement-charges-against-trump-over-capitol-riots/
A top US federal prosecutor on Thursday remarked to reporters during a conference call that investigators had not fully ruled out the possibility of slapping US President Donald Trump with inciting violence charges after his repeated remarks at a Wednesday rally emboldened his supporters to storm the US Capitol.
Officials with the US Department of Justice announced Friday they would not be filing incitement charges against neither Trump nor any other individuals who spoke at the “Stop the Steal” rally that was held hours before pro-Trump rioters made their way to the US Capitol.
The revelation was declared via a conference call with reporters by Ken Kohl, the acting principal assistant for the US attorney’s office in Washington, DC.
“We don’t expect any charges of that nature,” Kohl said when asked during a phone briefing to elaborate on the possibility “that the president or the people who were on the stage with him at that rally could face potential charges related to inciting violence.”

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) — A newly elected W.Va. delegate who went Facebook live while storming the US Capitol Wednesday along with other protesters is now facing federal charges, according to Gov. Jim Justice.
Gov. Justice made the announcement at the end of his press conference Friday.
“This came across, W.Va. delegate Evans charged federally with entering a restricted area, according to Federal Department of Justice,” said Gov. Justice.
The Associated Press is also reporting that according to the US Justice Department, state lawmaker Derrick Evans has been charged after entering a restricted area of the US Capitol with rioters.
On Wednesday, delegate-elect Derrick Evans (R-WV) filmed the breach at the US Capitol and posted it live on social media.
“We’re in. We’re in. Derrick Evans is in the Capitol,” Evans is heard in the video posted on social media Wednesday.
Thursday, an attorney released a statement on behalf of Evans saying he will not resign despite the growing push to step down from both sides of the political aisle.
The attorney claims Evans was working as an amateur journalist at the time.

Pelosi calls Gen. Milley to block ‘unhinged’ Trump from using nuclear codes
https://nypost.com/2021/01/08/pelosi-calls-gen-milley-to-block-trump-from-using-nuclear-codes/
By Ebony Bowden January 8, 2021 | 12:10pm
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called the Pentagon’s top general on Thursday and urged him to add extra precautions to stop what she called an “unhinged” President Trump from using the nuclear codes.
In a long statement, Pelosi said she made the drastic call to Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley as pressure mounts for Trump to step down or be removed from office via the 25th Amendment after the deadly US Capitol siege.
“This morning, I spoke to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley to discuss available precautions for preventing an unstable president from initiating military hostilities or accessing the launch codes and ordering a nuclear strike,” Pelosi (D-Calif.) wrote.
“The situation of this unhinged President could not be more dangerous, and we must do everything that we can to protect the American people from his unbalanced assault on our country and our democracy,” she wrote.
Pelosi received assurances from Milley that there were safeguards in place in case Trump wanted to launch a nuclear attack in the final days of his presidency.
Milley, a decorated and respected general, reportedly considered resigning in June over his role in President Trump’s photo op at a historic church outside the White House after protesters were forcibly cleared by police.
The top general apologized, saying it was a “mistake” to appear in his combat fatigues and walk through the park with the president.
Dozens of Democrats and a growing number of Republicans have called on Vice President Mike Pence and the cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump, claiming he is no longer fit for office.
Echoing threats she made on Thursday, Pelosi said that Congress would move forward with new articles of impeachment if Pence did not act — comparing Trump’s acts to those of President Nixon in the Watergate scandal.
“Yesterday, Leader Schumer and I placed a call with Vice President Pence, and we still hope to hear from him as soon as possible with a positive answer as to whether he and the Cabinet will honor their oath to the Constitution and the American people,” she wrote.
“Nearly fifty years ago, after years of enabling their rogue President, Republicans in Congress finally told President Nixon that it was time to go. Today, following the President’s dangerous and sedition acts, Republicans in Congress need to follow their example and call on Trump to depart his office — immediately,” she went on.
“If the President does not leave office imminently and willingly, the Congress will proceed with our action,” she warned.
It’s unclear if Pence and his cabinet will take such a dramatic and destabilizing act in the final two weeks of Trump’s presidency.
At least two cabinet members and multiple staff members have quit in protest over the president’s handling of the deadly riot which killed five people. White House senior counselor Hope Hicks is also reportedly heading for the exits.
A growing number of Democrats, including House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC) have announced their support for impeaching Trump as early as next week, but any move is likely to follow the same fate as the impeachment of Trump last year over the Ukraine pressure scandal.
Assistant House Speaker Rep. Katherine Clarke (D-Mass.) said a floor vote could come next week.
“Donald Trump needs to be removed from office. And we are going to proceed with every tool that we have to make sure that that happens to protect our democracy,” she told CNN.
“If the reports are correct, and Mike Pence is not going to uphold his oath of office and remove the president and help protect our democracy, then we will move forward with impeachment to do just that.”
Republicans are still in control of the Senate until the end of the month and are likely to vote against any measure, or stall a trial altogether, even as Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and such Trump stalwarts as Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-NC) rebuke the president’s claims the election was stolen from him and his decision to rile the mob of supporters at a rally before they attacked Congress.
Pelosi is the one acting unhinged.

How were unarmed “protesters” allowed to enter and take pictures of themselves in Congressmans chairs? In their own offices? Did the Secret Service and Capitol Police entirely abandon the Capitol building after evacuating the Congress people? This seems impossible. Nancy Peolsis request to strip Trump of nuclear launch athourity is possibly a tell that shakes me to my bones.
Does Trump strike you as a deranged warmonger? I never thought of him that way? What did I miss?
I was up all night and from time to time switched off from it. I’m missed the bit when there was footage of the evacuation. I did not catch that. Did anyone retain news channel footage of actual invasion? I’m not doubting it happend at all. I’m trying to find evidence that it was Alowwed and the response was intentionally controled to allow for a false flag Red blame it on Trump Supporters opperation. I’m concerned that any penetration of Capitol building was allowed at all. If was open to public ahead of time to fill the gallery then The Secret Service would have screened anyone entering. These Congress people are highy protect Ed.
Do you think that the events of this year may be the “Grey Terror” you talked about back in 2004/5? I smell Chinese Intelligence and SVR/GRU/FSB all over this, stoking both sides into a violent confrontation that the CPSU and CCP can exploit.
Also that whole Putin’s Dialetic article from October hinted at the fact that Putin knew who was going to win the election and that he approved of it. In fact Putin wanted Trump gone ever since the IRCG leader Solanami was killed last January and Trump launched an oil war along with the Saudis against Iran (which also greatly affected Russia and its allies).
Grey terror began with 9/11 and was not maintained or followed up on. It seems that China held back as its strength grew, so that the 2008 economic assault fizzled as Obama’s presidency became the basis of a new strategy which we see playing out now. Terror could be re-engaged at some time in the future. But there is no need. They have us from within. This site will not remain online too much longer.
If Jan 6 counting of electors was open to the public as spectators in the gallery of the Senate, why are there no videos of it. No videos of the evaction? Not ONE C-SPAN NSMBC CNN ETC footage of the evacuation,? No one from the gallery has footage?
I’m sorry to flood the the thread, but WHY DO we no video of the entire session,?
They were broadcasting it.
How can we go about establishing channels of free communication amid the nationwide information blackout that is likely approaching? I think we all need to ask ourselves this.
Trump said this after his permanent ban from Twitter:
“I predicted this would happen. We have been negotiating with various other sites, and will have a big announcement soon, while we also look at the possibilities of building out our own platform in the near future. We will not be SILENCED!” he said.
If the gallery anbove the floor is full the Capitol Police and Secret Service will deny access to the building. That’s if Congress is in session. This event should have been closed to the public. If it was open then as soon as the media and PRE CLEARED MEDIA WERE ALLWED IN there are no other allowed persons in. We are talking about offices containing highly classified information and people. There is no way any “mob” can get in there. I cannot find any video of the actual penetration of the floor. Did the Secret Service and Capitol Police just abandon the whole building and allow the thugs to take pictures of themselves on the chairs of the Congress? In their own offices? No fing way.
And then after ” the Capitol is clear” they start confirming the state electors? As in, no threat detected, all clear?
Dyin’ ain’t much of a living, boy.
Alexander Hamilton said “The people are an ass.”

From Golitsyn’s “Perestroika Deception” (memorandum to CIA of September-November 1990, page 123):
“The West will pay dearly for its failure to
understand that ‘perestroika’ is not a denial of Leninism but a radical, creative and
effective application of the tactic described by Lenin in ‘Left-wing Communism – an
Infantile Disorder’. In this document, Lenin wrote that true revolutionaries should
not be afraid to discard revolutionary phraseology and adopt right-wing tactics to
carry out a revolutionary policy.”
“Those idiots with no guns got in real quick
And disrupted the most important vote ever.” We cleared it up real quick though. No lock down required. It’s all peaches and cream now.
Every body just come back. We protected from the mob first time. It’s all good. BS. Any other event would be shut down for days.
Now that we’ve cleared the Capitol building of all threats it’s safe to resume the proceeding. Where is the footage after the fact? Independent normal citizens? They leaked the assault, where is citzen footage after it. I see no uploaded live coverage from the gallery. I smell be. Red BS.
Jeff, not sure if you can comment, last week I was informed by relatives who live in Hong Kong that Beijing and the Xinjiang Region managed to get of cold temperatures unheard of during winter of -26 C, this has caught the attention of many Grand Solar Minimum channels on YouTube as well.
Lowest since 1967, caused by polar vortex split which in turn is from stratospheric heating.

The Q connection is interesting. Everyone who follows Q believes that the removal of Trump from social media is the first step in some kind of process called The Storm which will see the arrest of all enemies of the country and the restoration of the republic. (Correct me if I am wrong, because I don’t follow this too carefully.) So, they are anxiously awaiting the next step which is the shut down of all internet communications in the continental USA.
Fake
Yes, they don’t want to believe what is real.
It’s not possible to invade the Capitol and have status quo in a few hours.
You have to let go of fantasy thinking. Trump blundered. His supporters are unrealistic in their thinking. All this belief in the insurrection act. When was this talk realistic or even proper? You have to prove your case in court. But you are blocked. The left controls the institutions and the narrative. They have the Army. You have to persuade and use arguments.
Interesting and thought provoking:

Nikki Haley Likens Trump Twitter Ban to Act of Chinese Communist Party (ya think?)
Social media companies banning President Donald Trump is something the Chinese Communist Party would do, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley said Friday.
“Silencing people, not to mention the President of the U.S., is what happens in China not our country,” Haley wrote in a tweet.

Pompeo saying the same thing:
Twitter’s decision to permanently ban President Donald Trump is “un-American” and parallels censorship under communist China, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Jan. 9.
“Silencing speech is dangerous. It’s un-American. Sadly, this isn’t a new tactic of the Left. They’ve worked to silence opposing voices for years,” he wrote in a tweet.
“We cannot let them silence 75M Americans. This isn’t the CCP,” he added, referring to the Chinese Communist Party’s weaponization of technology and social media to monitor and suppress dissent.

Jeff, aren’t you considering writing a big book about the Russian Evil Empire?
Because most Americans don’t know that all the current problems and crises in the U.S. and the world are caused by the subversive activity of Moscow.

In the 19th century, there were several Western journalists and writers who truthfully described the evil nature of the Russian nihilistic mentality and Russian political deceptions. Apparently, that today their writings are in the archives, or counterfeiters from KGB destroyed them.

“Under distraction and direction of U.S. persons working from U.S. embassy in Rome, undertook the operation to switch data from the U.S. election from 3 Nov. 2020 from significant margin of victory from Donald Trump to Joe Biden in a number of states where Joe Biden was losing the vote totals.

If you got to watch any of the videos, he implicated CIA operatives. Obama was also mentioned.
A bizarre story. Can it hold up!
