Viktor Suvorov
Two days ago the GRU defector Vladimir Rezun (a.k.a., Viktor Suvorov) gave an interview to DELFI, which is the largest major news portal operating across the Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia). The interview was conducted by Hans H. Luik and immediately gained a lot of attention even as Suvorov’s comments proved to be controversial. A major commentary piece on the interview was published on the interview titled, “Keep Your Eye on the Biggest Fool: Viktor Suvorov on What Comes After Putin.”
Suvorov has a special talent for ironic humor, subtle insight, and outrageous conclusions. For example, he says that Stalin started the Second World War, and that Hitler was duped by Stalin with the famous Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. During his DELFI interview, Suvorov said that Hitler was not prepared for the Second World War, but Stalin and the Soviet Union were prepared. The proof is found in who won the war.
Hans H. Luik got Suvorov to offer some analysis on Russia’s defeats in Ukraine. Suvorov said that the Russian state had degenerated, along with the higher leadership and the Russian Army. In the end Luik asked what the Baltic States should be looking for in terms of Russian invasion plans. Suvorov said that intelligence analysis is not so difficult. Troop movements tell the whole story. Therefore, watch Russian troop movements and deployments.
Despite harsh criticisms of the Russian military, Suvorov not dismiss the Russian threat entirely, even after he mocked former Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, describing the top Russian leaders as illiterates and their organization of the Russian military as a disaster where men were not given equipment, not trained, and sent into battle nonetheless.
Of course, given Ukraine’s takedown of many Russian oil refineries, the greatest attention went to Suvorov’s statements about Putin’s successor. When will the regime fall? Using the death of Stalin as his model, when Nikita Khrushchev ended up taking power, the likely rivals were cast aside or executed. Suvorov suggested that Putin’s successor, like Stalin’s, will be someone currently viewed as a “harmless idiot” or a “nobody” whom the major players underestimate.
Some Baltic commentators and viewers found this analysis historically consistent and sensible. But not everyone agreed with him. So-called “Realists” and pro-Russian listeners, dismissed Suvorov’s speculations as “pulp fiction political science,” arguing that the power vertical in Russia is too heavily guarded by security hardliners to allow an accidental outsider to take control.
In his comments on World War II, Suvorov made a subtle point that almost everyone misunderstood. He charged that the current leadership of Russia is made up of traitors and hypocrites. Depicting a fictitious conversation between himself and Vladimir Putin, he had Putin asking if he considered himself a traitor. Suvorov was glad to admit being a traitor to the Soviet Union. But Putin was also a traitor, said Suvorov. Someone like Putin, who celebrates the military victory of the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War, and who mourns the collapse of the Union, and who was besides a KGB lieutenant colonel, should have gone into the streets with a machine gun during the August Coup of 1991 to defend the regime. But Putin and his Soviet-loving pals did nothing. In saying this Suvorov was bringing attention to the fact that something very strange was going on in 1991. In the interview he said,
“Nobody gave any orders. The fact is that this state Emergency Committee [that launched the August Coup to save the USSR] took charge, and the Army was obligated to rise up to defend the Soviet Union. The Central Committee should have made an appeal. There should have been posters on all the walls. ‘THE MOTHERLAND CALLS!’ ‘THE ENEMY IS AT THE GATES.’
All the officials and army officers and the KGB had taken an oath to defend the Soviet Union to the death. And who defended it? “Nobody went to defend the Soviet Union,” noted Suvorov, except for “several people. These people went out, tried to do something, but quickly gave up. All men of the Soviet Union took an oath. Everyone swore to remain loyal….” But there was nobody. How could that have happened? The whole thing made no sense at the time.
The truth was that the leadership of the Soviet Union was behind the breakup of the USSR in order to disarm the West and gain control of Europe. But the scam did not work. It backfired. The breakup of the USSR began to happen in real time, and the KGB did not want to stop the celebration (and wholesale looting) that had just begun.
What is often significant in Suvorov’s discourse are the larger implications. The war in Ukraine is an obvious attempt to put the Soviet Union back together, but the attempt itself is miscarrying because the people behind re-Sovietization are thieving fools and liars. The Communist Party under Gorbachev led Russia into liberalization. They did it on purpose. They allowed the Soviet republics a kind of independence, and some republics grabbed real independence for themselves. Everyone went along with the false liberalization because everyone had something to gain; in effect, the Party apparatchiks wanted to steal and the outlying republics wanted greater autonomy. Under Khrushchev and Brezhnev the harsh discipline of Stalin was denounced. This began a process of loosening. By the time you get to the 1990s, few officials could resist the opportunity to steal. The system rotted from the inside. “They were thieves,” said Suvorov. “None of them backed the Emergency Committee to save the Soviet Union and now they are celebrating the victories of the Soviet Union [on May 9th]?”
The whole thing was a self-unraveling criminal scheme. Putin is not an intelligent person, like Stalin. He is a mediocrity. According to Suvorov,
“Putin promoted completely illiterate people, and these illiterate people imposed their own rules … which were complete idiocy, theft, and reports to the top about how we are great, we are powerful; and holidays with girls dressed in some kind of outfits from the Second World War; and think, ‘Now … the main thing is a dress uniform for the parade in Kyiv.’”
But there has been no parade in Kyiv. Instead, Russian oil refineries are burning and Russians are waiting in long lines for gasoline because of Ukrainian drone strikes. Everything in Russia is falling apart. Do Russia’s nuclear weapons still work? Has everything gone to the dogs? Suvorov thinks there could be problems with Russia’s nuclear forces. The Ukrainians built the Soviet ICBMs, he noted. The new Russian ICBMs have had problems (i.e., failed tests). This is what happens when you let thieves run everything.
Shortly before his death, Stalin called his colleagues “blind kittens.” He predicted they would fail without him. One man knew how to make the Soviet Union succeed, and that man died in 1953. Putin has reportedly claimed that he is not the leading politician in Russia. Stalin is still the leading politician.
But that politician is dead and there was no one of equal competence to replace him.

Jeffrey Nyquist, from your perspective as an analyst—and considering everything that defector said—do you think the Russo-Chinese plan to destroy the U.S. will be delayed if Russia is facing problems? After all, given its incompetence, Russia lacks the military capacity to deploy conventional troops following a nuclear strike. How do you interpret this?
Suvorov’s analysis is not exactly new, but nonetheless sparkles with his brilliance. Most of us observing the Russian performance in Ukraine have realized that the Russian military has declined in strength under inferior leaders. The plan of Russia and China to destroy the United States has therefore run into a serious problem. That problem is Ukraine. I don’t think China is having the same problems as Russia, but I would not be surprised if China’s economy and military are in worse shape than we realize. It is always hard to tell. Combat is the only true test of strength. The criminals in Moscow are going to fail, I think, even if they detonate nuclear warheads. While it is true that people are being deceived by Russian active measures in Europe and America, and their system is about to come apart at home. Ukraine has inflicted a fatal wound on the Russian state, exposing its incompetence and its wickedness. It is possible that Ukraine may still be defeated when Russia mobilizes another million men. But Ukraine’s defeat will not save Russia from what has already happened. Europe is united against Russia, and I believe Europe will fight. A regime like this cannot sustain a larger war over a longer stretch of time. The whole thing is going to crash for real this time. The secret police and remaining party structures will be swept away. It is only a matter of how many people they kill before they go down, and how successful China is.

Less than half an hour ago, Zelenskyy announced that Oleksandr Syrskyi would be replaced by General Mykhailo Drapatyi. I am not an expert, but I know that the vast majority of people in the military had really been hoping and praying for this change.
Why?
Internal politics. Fedorov gave Zelenskyy an ultimatum. Him or Syrski. Fedorov is highly popular and has many allies and a strong media apparatus. Zelenskyy dismissed Fedorov since he would not work with the team. Fedorov then went political, doing a speech , while his allies made a ruckus.
Syrskyi accused of being some kind of Soviet relic. It’s not really true. In my opinion they ignore his achievements and highlight anything they perceive as a flaw. I saw criticism that he was disproportionately supplying certain units, that this was some kind of personal army within the army. Then I read that certain units were spearheading dangerous offensive missions and suffered heavy casualties. I then realized these are the SAME units. So he’s at fault for giving extra support to offensive units, as if they are his royal guard, while at the same time at fault for using them on dangerous assault missions, accused of treating them as expendable.
I also saw claims from Fedorov that Syrskyi would tell him to speak proper Russian!
This is all nonsense and political. And I do not trust Fedorov because he has ties to American tech people. He brought in Thiel’s Palantir and integrated it into Ukraine’s military. Perhaps this was necessary, but Fedorov should be watched.
Whatever the case, I do not foresee it as causing any serious problems in the short term or with regards to the war.
Syrskyi, despite being smart and experienced, was really bad for the army’s morale. Drapatyi gives them hope and rejuvenates them. He listens to people and values the lives of his soldiers. It is a huge boost for them after General Zaluzhnyi was fired. I think it will solve some problems with mobilization. Nobody wants to join the army just to be treated like cannon fodder.
Great generals are sometimes problematic personalities. A popular general who is also a good strategist can do even more. Zelenskyy has made many tough decisions and Ukraine has been Amazingly successful under his leadership. Putin, on his side, has picked horrible people to lead the Russian Army.

Historian, this is how these events are seen in the Ukrainian information space.
Zelenskyi announces the dismissal of Fedorov from his position as Minister of Defence. Everyone is in shock because Fedorov was very effective. During his time in this position, the number of Russians killed per square kilometer increased several times. Also, the successful drone attacks on Russia’s territory that we have seen recently are a result of him improving the army’s supply system. His direct communication with Elon Musk helped cut off the Russians from Starlink.
Fedorov calls journalists to a press conference, tells his story, and answers everyone’s questions. The first thing he said to President Zelenskyi was that if he changes ministers of defence every six months, Ukraine will not win this war. He elaborated on his relationship with Syrskyi, saying that the latter never speaks his mind openly but does it behind his back. It was a very interesting press conference. He is young, smart, and very articulate—a big contrast to Zelenskyi and many other high officials.

He spoke about his achievements, saying that he introduced tenders for drone procurement, which helped save a lot of money for the army—something like $300 million. He gave military units the opportunity to choose the drones that suited them best. Many processes became much more efficient. The way he described the situation created a feeling that a huge injustice had been committed.
Young people came out with cardboard signs to protest. They protested against Fedorov’s dismissal and demanded Syrskyi’s dismissal. Fedorov is very good at social media campaigning, and he has his bots, so the movement became huge. He was a major asset in Zelenskyi’s presidential election campaign and helped him get elected.
Syrskyi started persecuting military personnel who participated in the protests and gave orders to make videos praising him. But his campaign was not as successful.
There are many theories about why Zelenskyi dismissed Fedorov. Some say it is because he became too popular and Zelenskyi wants to be reelected. Others say it is because, with his fair procurement of arms and drones, companies owned by the president’s friends were not getting enough money.
There are also several conspiracy theories claiming that all of this is staged. Different theories suggest different motives. It is hard to know for sure because we do not know many of the facts.
There is one interesting detail, though. Yermak, who is Zelenskyi’s closest associate and was considered the gray cardinal, and who is now being prosecuted for embezzling money intended for the army and wears an electronic ankle bracelet, came to visit Syrskyi at his headquarters. Nobody knows why, but it seems that he is still in charge of many processes in the country.
It’s a mess.
To be fair, if I were Zelenskyy I would be afraid of losing Sirskyi as a commander. He understands operational art of war and has worked miracles in battle. A civilian who understands digital things is not able to understand how operational art works. Without this higher military understanding, there were probably disagreements about how to fight the war. Federov did many good things, but his background may not allow him to understand the depths of a successful commander’s knowledge. Hopefully the digital warriors and the old warriors can come together and work together successfully. Any split between them endangers Ukraine as Russia plans a major escalation in the war.
Here are some facts about the new Commander-in-Chief Drapatyi:
▪️ He is 43 years old. A Major General and a career military officer, he was trained as a tank officer.
▪️ He rose through the ranks instead of starting in a senior staff position. On May 9, 2014, Drapatyi commanded the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of the 72nd Brigade. His unit was ordered to break through to the police station in Mariupol, which had been seized by pro-Russian militants, and help free the hostages. ▪️ He led troops out of the Izvaryne pocket. In the summer of 2014, he organized the breakout of Ukrainian units that had been encircled near Izvaryne and Chervonopartyzansk. According to published reports, his group evacuated about 260 soldiers and more than 30 vehicles, fighting their way over 160 kilometers.
▪️ His call sign is “Rubin.” After the events of 2014, he returned to the front as Chief of Staff of the 30th Mechanized Brigade, even though he could have continued his full-time studies at a military university.
▪️ He received the British Queen’s Sword. In 2021, Drapatyi was recognized as the top graduate of the operational-strategic program at Ukraine’s National Defence University. British Ambassador Melinda Simmons presented him with the Queen’s Sword, a prestigious award given to the best graduate.
▪️ During the full-scale invasion, he commanded forces in southern Ukraine. The “Kakhovka” operational group under his command liberated settlements in the Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk regions and advanced 6–23 kilometers into Russian defensive positions. For these actions, Drapatyi was awarded the Cross of Military Merit.
▪️ In 2024, he was sent to save the Kharkiv front. During Russia’s offensive in northern Kharkiv Region, Drapatyi took command of the Kharkiv Operational Tactical Group. Zelenskyi later stated that the general organized the defense and effectively thwarted the Russian offensive.
▪️ He is known as the “firefighter of the front.” Drapatyi has repeatedly been sent to the most difficult sectors—Kherson, Kharkiv, the Luhansk direction, and later the eastern front. This is not an official call sign but rather a reflection of his reputation as the commander who is sent in to stabilize a crisis.
Syrskyi and the former defense minister fell into bitter infighting and Zelenskyy had to sort it out. Removing both of the men might have been the only way forward. When factions form around two people the resulting internal conflict can be damaging. Remove the leading figures and break up the factions. I hope it works.

Or is it misleading, and they might simply put the plan into action to save themselves—and preserve their own power? Depending on how you view it, we could be optimistic or concerned; does this information worry you or make you feel optimistic?
There is plenty to worry about since Russia has nuclear weapons, whether all of these weapons work properly or not, we do not know. However, Ukraine’s brave stand against Russia has put the West in a much stronger position than I would have thought possible. Most people do not realize how lucky we are to have an independent Ukraine opposing Russian military aggression. America has been the Kremlin’s main enemy. Their end goal is our destruction. And here we see that Ukraine is saving us from a dangerous combination play. I wish people understood how precarious our strategic situation is. Russia and China are together, and the weapons they have are terrifying — even if their leaders are largely incompetent.
I have had a sense of hope lately seeing the failures of the Russian military in Ukraine, the looming potential for a collapse of the Russian front in sectors including in Crimea and the potential for an economic collapse of Russia due to Ukrainian strikes on fuel and logistics.
I hope I am not betraying myself in feeling a sense of optimism. I think even if all of those forementioned things were to happen, Russia could still lash out at the Baltics and Europe and do real damage, but they would of course, in my opinion, lose that fight against NATO in short order, even with nuclear weapons as it is more likely than not that most of their weapons do not work.
Are the true leaders of Russia willing to go down with the ship and throw everything they have at the wall, or are they going to let Russia collapse, save their own hides and wealth, and try to keep their long game of subversion going?
I am no longer sure of what to think. Then there is of course China which as we found out recently apparently does not have the fuel reserves it though it had. If Russia falls, can China accomplish what It wants in the island chains and beyond?

I do not think so. Mr. Wang of Lude Media spoke of China keeping large amounts of oil on shadow fleet tankers. I think China is doing okay. Initial reports of China having no oil reserves should be treated with caution at this time.

I don’t know how we have anything (in terms of missile defense) left after Ukraine, then the initial massive Iran attack on Israel, then the current Iran war and subsequent defending of all allies. I am not any expert, but just looking at the events that have transpired over the past year, it appears to me that Trump’s actions have helped Ukraine gain the upper hand. Specifically, rightly or wrongly, by taking out Maduro and putting the Venezuela on a leash, that country is now working for our oil interests. This gives the world an alternative to Russian oil and an assurance for the supremacy of the USA. 2. Russia was forced our of Syria, losing face in the Middle East. 3. Trump’s Policies are encouraging our domestic oil industry . 4. With some assurance of stability in the world oil supply, Trump’s administration has been remarkably silent on Ukraine ‘s continuous successful attacks on the Russian oil industry. 5. The USA sale to NATO countries of armaments are clearly for the benefit of Ukraine. 6. The US confronting Iran after 39 years of paying “tribute” will also help Ukraine. Russia and China are the snakes in the grass there. This fight is proving more of a challenge than our government anticipated, but when we defang Iran, Houthis, Hamas, and Hezbollah won’t be funded; their nuclear program will be nuked. Russia will have no resources or even interest in rebuilding a wrecked country, again reducing Russia’s influence. Slaying the dragon will always poses a near impossible challenge. No one could have predicted Ukraine could do what it has done. This is what faith can do. By the USA signaling the world will have oil and getting out of Ukraine’s way, the unforseeable is reality.

I feel like Trump is more involved in the Russian energy targeting, whether through providing intel, etc.. it seems that he understands what Russia and China are, maybe not fully, but he must see much more intel on how Russia funds and arms Iran and Cuba etc.. and they must have intel on the foreign connections behind the domestic subversives. If they have learned that Cuban intelligence is behind a lot of the domestic stuff, as it seems they have, I have to imagine they are putting other pieces together. He also seemed to see this when he called out Germany and Europe for enslaving themselves to Russia. I hear that Belgium and France are still buying lots of natural gas (?) from some northern Russia hub for billions worth.
Agreed. Have you seen Trump’s recent explosive criticisms on Communists? He has posts on Truth Social and made clear anti-comminists remarks in recent speeches. Then, there was his recent verbal assault last week on China for election hacking and major interference. Has something changed that he is speaking so openly? I understand that he is also concerned about the DSA control over prominent Dems. It is remarkable in my opinion. I just spent some time in the Eisenhower Presidential Library researching the Cold War. Many parallels there.
Yes, he said something like “they are making their move, I have been waiting a while”, speaking I believe about the domestic DSA ones. The Chinese hacking thing is really interesting, especially the response by Dem media and pols. The maximalist rhetoric by them in response seems risky to me, on both a public relations front and also a legal front. When you start talking about foreign hacking, foreign interference, etc.. you are beginning to get into matters of National Security and I don’t think Americans are so far gone that they will just let that slide because of traditional “Trump racist” rhetoric. It also seems risky because what if Trump has more info and more intel.
I also think Trump’s threat to prosecute state officials who allow foreign nationals to vote is brilliant, because the opposition claims it never happens and is a conspiracy theory. If it never happens, why are they concerned? I think that he is approaching this entire issue the correct way, from the outside in. The more inside you are (domestic), the easier it is to hide behind social language, social movements, etc.. but the more you begin outside and track the foreign connections and foreign support, funding, coordination, the much harder it is for them to defend it, they are on much more dangerous legal ground, and Americans will be far less sympathetic to those activities.

Europe is still getting about a third of its natural gas imports from Russia. America is quickly filling the gap, but this takes time.
The U.S. has taken control of Venezuela’s oil for the time being, as Venezuela cannot resist American naval and air power. China and Russia are not in a position to defend Venezuela, so the Venezuelan communists are taking the money and holding onto power. That is the good deal for them. Under communist management the Venezuelan oil industry is not in great shape. They could be producing a lot more oil than they are. The good news is that Chinese and Russian shadow-fleet tankers are supposedly being denied access to Venezuelan oil. Presently, Venezuelan crude production has increased to approximately 1.25 million barrels a day, with 558,000 barrels per day going to America’s Gulf Coast refineries. About 427,000 barrels a day is going to India, and 169,000 barrels per day are going to Europe. This move by Trump is helpful in terms of the Strait of Hormuz being closed, but it is still not enough. In essence, we have made a deal with a kind of devil in Venezuela. As long as we can punish that devil, we can control the situation. If we suffer a military defeat in the meantime, Venezuela could wriggle out of the deal. This may seem unlikely, but you can be sure the Russians and Chinese are trying to cook something up as we speak. The oil revenues going to Venezuela are strengthening the communist regime there. Bringing Chevron into Venezuela will increase production there, by the way. And this is important as the Middle East oil remains cut off.

All the headlines i see indicate Putin is on his last legs politically speaking, yet your sources indicate he is about to mobilize the population for another invasion through Belarus or that Slovaki (sp?) Gap. How can Putin really think he can pull that off. Is this somehow a big deception going on? Who are the deceivers?
Viktor Suvorov (a.k.a., Vladimir Rezun) is highly credible and also a brilliant military analyst. But he nowhere says Russia is defeated. Not yet. It looks bad for Russia, of course, and Suvorov expresses his own surprise. He did not see this coming. Indeed, the whole situation could change in the next few months because mobilizations can work wonders, if Putin can pull it off. My view is that Putin wants a large mobilization to finish off Ukraine by attacking it on a wider front (i.e., from the north, especially, and with help from Belarus). It’s something they should have done a long time ago. The only question is whether Russian society or the Russian economy can sustain such an effort. Nobody really knows the answer to this question.
Putin can both be incompetent and still try to mobilize. He’s the absolute boss. Being in power for as long as he has degrades judgment and intellect. So many decades without truly being challenged, only being told yes by sycophants. Most commentators that seem like they know what they’re talking about (to me) are saying his grip on power won’t be threatened unless there’s a large mass of protestors in moscow. It’s a tossup whether mobilization triggers that or not. Ukraine’s goal seems to be striking as much infrastructure as possible to fan the flames before that happens
Yes. There is a limit to competence and a limit to incompetence. At some point the sheer size of Russia comes into play and could rescue the autocratic system. But it cannot rescue Putin. The obedience of a few competent people getting key positions could change the war situation dramatically. So we cannot write Russia off as yet. What is fatal, at this point, is the damage to Putin’s image and Putin’s obliviousness. He is a typical dictator in this regard. I have written about this before. Putin suffers from a very dangerous psychological condition, and he has reached the highest level of obliviousness. The regime cannot last long because of it. A replacement becomes necessary, and may come by means of intervention by someone in the army or security services. Mobilization may repair some of the damage, but mistakes will continue and Putin will begin to take the hits. Lies will continue and the population will feel it as an offence. People have lost faith in Putin, where they previously believed in him. Credibility, once lost, is not easy to recover.
Was the fall of the Soviet Union a ruse? Was it not working so well where people were forced to live in their utopia for their top 1%—those that were useful as officers and civilian champions? Maybe The West was their mission field for communism since glasnost. Forming teachers and media thought leaders and getting those at the water cooler who dissented gaslit was working way better. It’s fine if they have lots of money and are comfortable! Strip friends and family from each other who do not adhere to the craziest social policies like trans this or no to the jab. Develop Karens in social media and corporations to strip dissenters from their jobs and other livelihood! Even that might not work out so well as they thought in China, as fewer and fewer are getting together, much less having a replacement rate. Maybe they can punish their Christians (possibly with robots) as traitors and let the Muslims inherit the Earth only to poison them later. Who knows?
The fall of the Soviet Union was part of a maneuver that included some major setbacks for Moscow. This is clear if we study the defector literature and the events of 1989-1991. VIktor Suvorov agreed with Christopher Story, in late 2000, that the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe was a deception. When asked why Western intelligence did not understand this, Suvorov told Story, “Because they are stupid.” We cannot really rely on our intelligence agencies. Our greatest advantage is the stupidity that attends evil regimes, which can be greater than our own. Dictators are famous for destroying their own chances for victory. All dictatorships based on neo-Gnostic ideologies have the same problem. Lies wear out and new ones are needed. This is not an easy thing to deal with. Furthermore, the transition to new lies can disrupt the whole structure of their system, and has done so as we see in the Ukraine War. What is alarming is the growing stupidity of the West. We are also progressing into decadence. Socialism is overtaking us from within. The Russians and Chinese are very keen on exploiting this.
How is Suvorov not dead? You would have thought that they would have gone after him. But he is just breezing around Eastern Europe giving interviews?
This interview was conducted over the Internet. Suvorov is cagey. He has traveled in the past, but became wary after Litvinenko was killed. I know other defectors who went totally silent after Berezovsky’s death. All of us in this business know we can be targeted at anytime.
It’s always funny whenever you hear someone complaining loudly about “oppression” or “fascism” or “genocidal power structures” and they’re doing so openly, brazenly, with all the privileges in the world, with zero concern or fear or even the semblance of restraint in their demeanor. Under true oppression, people are murdered for speaking the truth. Litvinenko knew that he would die and it appears that was his goal, as he said in the documentary when (his father?) visited him in the hospital.
He was a true hero who sacrificed his life for the truth. He said something like “I proved it” or something to his father, as in, he forced the KGB to take him out because he knew if he spoke out enough it would happen. Imagine the courage it takes to do this.

We are hearing in various reports that we cannot meet the needs of our allies for missile defense. Ukraine is being given the plans so they can build their own missile defense. We have helped Israel, too. And our Gulf State allies. It is safe to say that our ballistic missile defenses have been weakened by the confrontation with Iran. The next several months will show whether our leadership has overcome this problem or not.
It is really quite odd that they cannot stop Iran. Or I suppose odd might not be the word, but depressing?
If they cannot stop Iran, how could the US win a war against Russia or China?
Iran is able to just hide underground and keep popping up missiles and drones and get the US to blow expensive interceptors defending them? And maintain leverage over the strait?
To me this is more a story about how the US, as this alleged superpower, can’t even beat this tiny nation. If the alleged most powerful nation in the world can’t stop them, what does that say about warfare? All you have to do is seize a chokepoint and use some loopholes / glitches in the system? They clearly have massive underground complexes or something, and whatever they have, Russia must have 10x. How much ammo has the US spent? How many bombs? I mean it’s good that they took out their missiles and navy and planes etc… but it is really quite a story that with just a few rinky-dink weapons, and targeting just a few chokepoints, a tiny nation can essentially take a superpower to a draw. All the dumb Dems gloating should maybe think about that, because what does that mean for warfare?
Iran is not really a tiny nation. It has more people than Nazi Germany. It had highly educated people. It has support from China and Russia. They should not be underestimated.
Yes, I know it has 90 million people, but do you see my point regarding, if the United States cannot even stop them from firing missiles / drones / threatening the strait this many months into the conflict, how could the US defeat Russia or China? It is more a statement about military power than anything.

The Arab states have some troops, but these cannot spearhead and offensive. We have to send our own divisions. The allies can support. The order of battle for Iran is formidable. I have been looking at it, and the number of troop formations is impressive. We need to be thinking about a ground war. If we do not commit to a ground war the world economy will suffer an eventual collapse. Given the strength and militancy of the left here in America I am worried about a serious economic downturn. This spells domestic trouble. Domestic violence unlike anything since the American Civil War. I pray we do not experience this.
Can you explain the exact mechanics behind how/why a “collapse” would happen? We hear the US has enough oil but has to send it out to be refined or something? And that the US is able to refine the Venezuelan oil so that helps them somewhat. But are you saying the rest of the world, Europe etc. is not so fortunate and that would be the cause?
Trump has made many mistakes in dealing with Iran, let alone the military mistakes. We should have let sleeping dogs lie. But once we attacked, we should have realized there is no going back. Trump should be sending ground forces, but this entails risk. Trump is showing himself to be risk averse. That is sensible on one level, but you cannot waste time when the Strait of Hormuz is closed. He needs to collapse that regime or make peace. Of course, the Iranian side will not make peace. We treacherously assassinated their leaders during a negotiation. So we have only one way forward. Invade Iran and take down the regime. Trump does not realize this yet. It’s a terrible option, but it is the only one.
I think that both sides are considering the midterm elections. They desperately want Trump to send in troops and get large casualty numbers which their American allies will publicize. And Trump knows this. It is really quite remarkable how much of Iran’s strategy is almost explicitly dependent upon cooperation from the domestic American media.
I think Trump is aware of this risk, and yet also if the current situation holds in November, he will most likely be punished. Iran is simply trying to delay and stall and keep markets in turmoil till election time. So Trump has to compress the timeline and force something. And that is what this new bombing campaign is. I would assume it’s having some effect or they wouldn’t have made that recent threat.
Jeff, also, did you see the Iran statement which threatened that “Russia would attack Europe, China would attack Taiwan, etc..” if Trump continued? How can they even make this statement without revealing widespread coordination? If they are threatening that, how does that not instantly communicate that Russia and China are essentially threatening Trump through Iran? I found this statement quite amazing but also a rather naked expose of their coordination, unless I am reading it wrong.
Dear Jeff and Friends, unfortunately, we are observing a rapid and severe deterioration of relationship between Ukraine and her biggest supporter and helper, Poland., that could have a very disruptive influence on the integrity of the, so called European Union and the European branch of NATO, which is very brittle and largely illusory in itself This process was taking place for a while, however it accelerated by the recent, unfortunately, spiteful and nefarious move by the Ukrainian Presiednt Zelensky himself. Few weeks ago, Zelensky made a fateful decision to name one of the Ukrainian front-line units with “Heroes of UPA” (Ukrainian Resistance Army). He did this despite the opposition of his advisors that such a move would anger the Poles. One member from his circle, Ihor Mosiychuk, was honest enough to reveal that when cautioned by them, Zelenski, allegedly, responded with “f… Poland and the Poles.”
Obviously, it infuriated the Poles and was too much even for such a staunch and unwavering supporter of Ukrainians and Zelenski like me.
The Polish President, Karol Nawrocki became so incensed that he officially stripped Zelensky of Order of Whie Eagle, the highest Polish award bestowed on foreign leaders and which was given to Zelensky by the former polish President, Andrzej Duda. Zelensky then sent the order by the post back to Poland and in the ludicrous gesture of solidarity both former Ukrainian Presidents, Poroshenko and Yushchenko also returned their respective awards.
Polish President, Nawrocki has made also a strong signal that Poland will block Ukraine access both to the EU and NATO as well. If it comes to that, Poland can count on the support from quite a few strongly anti-Ukrainian countries like Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia and, perhaps, even Czechia. In that case the entrance to the EU and NATO for Ukraine would be closed for many years in the future.
There is also another bone of contention between those two countries that contributed to the increase of mutual animosities. Two years ago, if I remember well, Poland, Ukraine and the EU signed a contract under which Ukraine would be permitted to transport her grain and other agricultural product via Polish railway network using Polish after the Ukrainian ports have been blockaded by the Russian Navy. Unfortunately, Ukrainian broke that agreement and began dumping their products on the Polish market thus causing great disruption and hardship for the Polish farmers.
However, it looks now like Zelensky has shoot himself in his own foot. The news about spat between Poland and Ukraine echoed widely in the Western Europe and even in America and a great number of the Westerners who have never heard about UPA and Volhynian massacre suddenly learned about that atrocity. Lots of articles began appearing in the Western media and even Trump himself has mentioned that conflict in one of his speeches.
Unfortunately, there is also drastic increase of crimes and that includes brutal murders committed by the Ukrainians nationals that contributes to the raising animosity of the Poles towards Ukrainians.
The Volhynian Massacre was an act of a particular BARBARITY that the Poles are still unable to forgive and forget, especially in situation when the Ukrainians are doing everything to minimize it extend and even deny that it even took place.
The UPA (Ukrainian Insurgent Army) was the arm of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists which committed, between the middle of 1943 and 1944 one of the biggest acts of ethnic cleansing during the WW2 in the areas of Galizia and Volhynia (which now belong to the Western Ukraine) murdering with an unimaginable cruelty app. hundred thousand Poles, twenty thousand Jews, thousands of Slovaks, Hungarians and some twenty thousand moderate Ukrainians who opposed Ukrainian nationalists.
Two years ago, Poland and Ukraine signed an agreement under which Ukraine promised to fully cooperate with the Poles in their effort to conduct extensive excavations of Polish victims and create a special commission to investigate and bring to light all the circumstance that have led to this atrocity.
However, as the first excavations commenced, they began uncovering hundreds of skeletons of adults, little children and even babies bearing the traces of an incomprehensible bestiality. In the face of such horror, the Ukrainian partners panicked and began obstructing further excavations.
Fortunately, the newest information coming from Ukraine in that respect gives the reason for a cautious optimism. Zelensky has, allegedly, issued a personal order to allow those works to be proceeded without any further interruptions.
There is a suspicion lingering among the Polish analysts that the initial anti-Polish move by Zelensky was catalyzed by the Germans who have, finally, decided to dip their bloody, dirty claws into Ukrainian matters. Germans have been, throughout first, practically three years, completely absent from any activities on behalf of helping Ukraine. Even worse, in one of, virtually insulting, moves, they sent some four hundred old helmets to Ukraine. Later, they would restrict themselves to an occasional delivery of single pieces of an outdated military equipment.
Only recently, when it was becoming increasingly likely that Russia would not conquer the entire Ukraine the Germans began intensifying their cooperation with Ukraine.
Presently, Germany is the biggest financial contributor to Ukraine in various forms, and it is also the biggest participant in the recent financial package allocated to Ukraine by the EU. It is suspected that the Germans are planning to have the German companies dominating and, perhaps, even monopolizing the business of Ukraine post-war reconstruction and pushing Polish firms out of the Ukrainian market.
No wonder that the Poles are fuming.
However, no one can predict the nearest future events in Ukraine (and not only) as the processes taking place within Ukraine’s leadership that are tearing this leadership apart are gaining on intensity.

The Russians are no doubt happy with this rift between Poland and Ukraine. Let’s hope they can shelve it when the Russian mobilization begins. Military advances by either side are transformative, for good or ill.
I’m one of the people who recently learned about that history due to these recent events. I can only surmise that this outspoken attitude by many Ukrainians is an unfortunate consequence of the very difficult position they’ve been placed in, taking all this pain for four years and counting, while simultaneously transforming into the spear tip of Europe that is having some real success against the evil monster. I have no insight into Zelensky’s comments but just talking about lower ranked Ukrainians here.
On the other hand I’m seeing other Europeans start to downplay Ukraine’s successes as something anybody could have done and mostly caused by EU countries, fomenting division whether they know it or not. I suspect there’s a bit of jealousy there. Unity should be stressed about all, we should not underestimate Russia at all until they’re officially off the map
Yes. We should not underestimate Russia. And you are right to say the Ukrainians are suffering psychologically from the stress of war. They have become impatient with the complaints of the countries they are shielding. Those countries are enjoying relative prosperity compared to Ukraine.
Dear Jeff, you are, of course right. Despite losing lots of respect and sympathy for both Trump and Zelensky I still regard the Western European HOMO CONSUMUS DEGENERATUS as the main culprit in Ukraine’s tragedy. They have been refusing, for decades, sometimes deliberately and even spitefully to increase their defense spending despite regular requests flowing from Washington. They failed in the past to prevent Balkan wars with its tragic consequences, did very little to help America to manage the Middle East problems, the Afghanistan debacle and many other conflicts. No wonder that Trump is furious.
However, we should remember that Poland was and still is a noble exception from that shameful pattern.
When the neo-Bolshevik Russia attacked Ukraine, Poland was the only country that rushed immediately with any help that country could muster. In the first months of the war Poland handed over to Ukraine practically half of her heavy military hardware, half of her tank forces, self-propelled howitzers, troop carriers, Mig 29 fighter bombers, and so many other military pieces thus significantly weakening her own ability to protect her own border in the case of Russian aggression, that was, at that time, certainly, expected.
Poland has also absorbed, processed millions of Ukrainian refuges, and housed them not in hastily build tent cities but in virtually hundreds of thousands of private houses, apartments, and even tiny post-communist flats as the Polish families were waiting for the Ukrainians at the border to voluntarily take care of them on individual basis.
The refuges were offered free health care and employment opportunities. Children were placed in Polish schools to enable them to continue their education. Convoys with hundreds of thousands of tons of food, medicaments and other supplies were ferrying between Poland and Ukraine.
This was happening when, practically, the entire “Western world” abandoned Ukraine and decided that that country was a lost case.
The enormity of help provided by Poland to Ukraine, which at its peak amounted to almost five percent of Polish GDP placed a great burden on Polish finances and resulted in the government debt per GDP ratio jumping from fifty- five to seventy-five percent.
In respect to the Volhynian massacre, Polish people seek no revenge. They just want to find its victims, give them a Christian burial and Ukrainians to fully acknowledge that his horror took place.
Without fulfilling those basic conditions, it will be difficult to talk about reconciliation.

I heard that Zelenskyy got the idea from his associate Iryna Vereshchuk to name one of the military units after the UPA. Vereshchuk used to work with Medvedchuk (a former Russian agent in Ukraine).
It’s funny because, not long before the war, Zelenskyy said in one of his speeches: who cares what a street is called if it has electricity and good pavement? But Ukrainians did care. They didn’t want streets named after Lenin or Stalin.
Then Zelenskyy changed his clothes and wanted to look patriotic. And he picked a really bad moment for it. So many real heroes have died in this war. There are plenty of names to choose from.
Zelenskyy can be really stubborn, and not in a good way. I can easily believe that he said bad things about the Poles.
Why would the UPA kill all those people in 1943/1944? Or why would Zelensky have a problem with the Poles, what did they ever do to him?
Dear Historian, the Volhynian massacre was a culmination of a tumultuous, filled with cooperation and animosities relationship between Poles and Ukrainians that lasted some five hundred years. However, in the early thirties of the previous century Ukrainian nationalists under the leadership of Stepan Bandera and Roman Szuchewych began working on the concept of ethnically pure Ukraine that envisaged cleansing Ukraine of ethnic minorities applying any means necessary and that included their total extermination.
The Volhynian massacre took place when Volhynia and Galizia fell under the German occupation and was conducted, practically, under German supervision.
UPA terrorists took part, among others, in the infamous Babi Yar massacre of Jews and the division, SS Galizien , the Ukrainian military formation which was incorporated into the German SS was the main participant in suppressing the Warsaw Uprising in September 1944 where they exceeded in cruelty even the German Nazis themselves.
Warsaw Uprising was even bloodier than the Volhynian massacre as almost two hundred thousand Warsaw citizens were murdered by rampaging Germans and their allies, like the equally infamous Russian general Vlasov’s division.
My short presentation by no means explains the complexity of tragic relationship between Poles and Ukrainians in the previous century and it also doesn’t mean that the Poles themselves were always the innocent angels.

There is a remarkable quote where, according to an informant, after Bobby Kennedy informs MLK that his surrounding circle are Party members and then leaves, Communist Party member and money-man Stanley Levison turns to MLK and says “You acted like a true Marxist-Leninist.”
This is really a remarkable statement and implies that MLK was a true believer, a full operative.
Chad Jackson has amazing research skills and uncovers many details, among others I didn’t know there was credible allegations of bisexuality between MLK and others. I knew about the orgies and the prostitutes and the alleged complicity in the r*pe incident, but not that one. And then it was subsequently used as leverage to get MLK to not protest against JFK at the Democratic convention, proving that it could be successfully used to control him.
Because Jackson is such an amazing researcher, he has come to uncover the Russia connection. I am only partway through it, but already he has documented many foreign connections, foreign funding, etc..

Hi Jeff, on twitter a little while ago you seemed to express reasonable fear that Russia possesses a range of advanced exotic weapons like scalar weapons, based on a source that also mentioned things like black hole weapons. Do you still think so? From what I can gather our own scientists can’t even conceive of how scalar weapons would work or what exactly they would do. Only sci fi has figured that out. I don’t think russian scientists can be that far ahead of ours that they’re developing weapons we can’t even theoretically conceive of. I think their most advanced tech was given to them by Hillary’s tech transfer under Obama. Unless this incredible weakness they’re showing right now is all just an elaborate stage play, which I’m encouraged to not see anybody seriously propose that…
Russia was ahead of us in laser and scalar technology decades ago, but many of these scientists were Ukrainians and they will not work for Russia now. The Russians do have an earthquake weapons which probably relies on scalar waves or something similar. Colonel Lunev described this to me. It is a terrifying weapon. I am not sure if they would dare to use it, however. Judging Russia’s advanced weapons programs is difficult. There is no doubt they have a lot of dry biological material, like anthrax. I have seen satellite pictures of their anthrax facility. It is very worrisome.
Jeff, have you ever looked into Viktor Schauberger? He was an interesting man who did a lot of stuff with water and vortexes and stuff and allegedly was forced to work for Hitler and was working on a “disc” craft based on these principles. Then the Soviets came and got most of his papers, including the part on the inner drive part of the craft. The Americans only got the part on the exterior.

What is really interesting is that Schauberger’s Wikipedia page has been almost completely scrubbed, even of common facts.
From my own personal studies in physics, and what I have learned about the field, I really do wonder if the Russians are active in the US physics field, in terms of sending them on these useless diversions, promoting certain ideas and suppressing others. The field is really quite a mess, with ideas such as “dark matter” represented as fact, when the only proof they have for this is that their gravity equations stop working at a certain extra-large scale for the outer rings. There are other ways to reformulate gravity to make the equations work which I will not get into right now. There is also a general air of authoritarianism within the field and it is dominated by string theorists. Dark matter is simply one example, there are multiple, multiple ones which essentially serve to keep physicists locked in this wilderness of incorrect facts and theories, and they are essentially lost in this wilderness based upon several key incorrect assumptions in my opinion.
Based upon this and the example of severe informational suppression re: Schauberger and others like him, I am really quite suspicious that they are active in this field, preventing Western scientists from learning deeper, more fundamental facts about physics.
Dear Jeff, it is the first time that I’ve heard about scalar or earthquake weapons. I’m asking because I’ve got a friend here in Melbourne who is a former military pilot from Poland who is trying to convince me that the installation called HAARP is capable of causing the earthquake. He’s even argued that those were the Americans few years ago who used HAARP to cause the earthquake in Turkey because of some major disagreement between those two countries.
My argument was that HAARP is an installation capable of detecting underground military installations and the suggestion that it could generate an earthquake was laughable.
In my opinion, it would need to have a thermonuclear warhead with the yield of, perhaps five-ten megatons placed in a narrow drill-hole, some two-three kilometers underground to cause the tremor of such magnitude like that, that took place in Turkey.
Around twenty years ago, I used to read an excellent Russian blog, English Russia, which at that time was still possible and this blog presented many photos of abandoned, very strange looking, electronic installations in Russia, that could, possibly, serve the same purpose as HAARP.

If Russia mobilizes a million men, will we all know about it even before the attack? Or is it possible to mobilize without us in the West knowing—or without Ukraine knowing?
Yes. Major troop movements cannot be hidden.
I still want to explain that Zelenskyy was not preparing for war. There was no clever secret plan. Most people in Ukraine know this. But abroad, many people seem to believe that Zelenskiy was doing some kind of hidden preparation. I hope this interview with someone who was directly involved in those events will help to clarify the situation. If there really had been a secret plan, the military would have known about it, wouldn’t they?
This is a short recap of the interview with Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev, who was the Commander of the Joint Forces of Ukraine in 2022. His position was one level below General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, who was the Commander-in-Chief at the time. You can watch it with English subtitles.

Naiev is very careful throughout the interview. He chooses his words cautiously, trying not to say anything that could be used against him. But at the same time, he clearly wants to tell the truth.
He says that in the spring of 2021, the military developed defense plans and presented them to the country’s political leadership. They were preparing for a possible invasion. But without a formal decision authorizing the use of the Armed Forces, they had no legal authority to fully deploy the troops.
By January and February 2022, more and more signs pointed to a possible Russian attack. Yet no order was issued to prepare the military or declare martial law. Without such an official order, the military could do very little. According to Naiev, he and Valerii Zaluzhnyi gradually moved individual units into position on their own responsibility. Zaluzhnyi gave Naiev his verbal permission, but not in writing as that would be incriminating to him.
On February 21, Naiev verbally ordered his commanders to move all available forces into their assigned operational areas, even though he admits that this exceeded his legal authority. At the request of his subordinate commanders, he put that order in writing on February 23.
As Commander of the Joint Forces, he received official intelligence reports every day. According to him, even on February 23 those reports still stated that Russia had not formed offensive strike groups around Ukraine. (unbelievable)
On the night before the invasion, Naiev also ordered naval mine barriers to be placed in the Black Sea near the coasts of Mykolaiv and Odesa, without waiting for the formal declaration of martial law. He says he relied only on his own judgment.
He also says that he never received any official document giving the exact date and time of the invasion. It is a very interesting interview, but it is not easy to follow because Naiev speaks extremely cautiously. He says that proper military preparation would normally require about 45 days. Instead, they had to do everything at the last minute, breaking the rules and taking personal responsibility.
Throughout the interview, you can almost feel his pain. As a military officer, he had spent his whole career preparing to defend his country. But when the time came, his hands were tied, and he couldn’t do what he believed needed to be done.
Zaluzhnyi has stayed quiet about those days. He doesn’t comment on them. But if he ever decides to speak openly, I think we’ll hear a lot of interesting things about what really happened before the invasion.
Ukraine survived because of officers like Naiev and Zaluzhnyi, because of ordinary people who took up arms and defended their own villages and cities, and because of volunteer defense units. Not because of Zelenskyy’s actions, but despite his failure to act.
As Zaluzhnyi once said, we shouldn’t make idols. And we shouldn’t make an idol out of Zelenskyy either.

I did not post this interview in the previous discussion. This is a completely new set of facts to be considered.
Jeff’s answer implied that Zelenskiy did some preparations with the army in secret from general population. This interview suggests that the army did not have adequate information and legal basis for preparation. Zelenskiy could have warned them secretly. He did not.
Jeffrey Nyquist stated that Zelenskyy could not have mobilized troops, because if he had, the Russians would have used it to their advantage, claiming that Ukraine was starting the war; furthermore, the Russians had many spies infiltrated within the country. According to Nyquist, Zelenskyy acted very skillfully: he deceived the Russians and reportedly even had the support of FSB agents.
I never said he had the support of FSB agents. Be careful.
Ukraine survived the attack when nobody thought they would. Something was done right. Read firsthand accounts. Zelenskyy must have known. Who surprised whom in February 2022? The answer is that Ukraine won the battle of Kyiv. How? Please think of the military realities.
We know from other sources that this picture of Zelenskyy and his pre-war preparations is false. For obvious reasons Zelenskyy has wanted to keep his prewar moves secret. The American CIA director met with Zekenskyy before the war. The CIA director showed him proof that Russia would invade. There is no doubt of this. Zelenskyy subsequently arranged for the secret shipment of NATO arms to Ukraine before the attack. He also authorized secret mobilizations that would be decisive in case anyone tried to blame him for starting hostilities.
In fact, Zelenskyy was aware of United States intelligence warnings about a planned Russian invasion in early 2022. He believed the warnings but publicly downplayed and questioned the imminence of the attack for political reasons. He did so to prevent mass public panic and economic collapse. Despite his public dismissals of Western predictions, Zelenskyy and his government had been undertaking quiet preparations. The steps he took included taking arms deliveries from NATO countries, activating the army reserves, and preparing the military for conflict prior to February 24, 2022
I remember those days. Warnings from the intelligence services of other countries were everywhere. Everybody knew about them. Newspapers published maps showing possible directions of attack.
I also remember Zelenskyy saying that American intelligence was far away and that we knew better here. At one point, he even said that the Americans, with all their warnings, were worse than Skabeyeva (the notorious Russian propagandist).
These are just my memories.
There are also sources which say that Yermak had Kozak in Russia, who was informing him about what was happening there. But apparently Russia was careful enough not to share its actual invasion plans with Kozak.
My question is this: wasn’t it risky for Zelenskyy not to at least inform the military about whatever information they did have? What if the military hadn’t made its own preparations? Why did they have to learn things from the news, from friends, and then break the law?
But it’s OK for now. One day we’ll know the whole truth. Probably in the next life.
The military had been to Washington and met with General Mark Milly before Zelenskyy met with CIA Director Burns. It was not a case of Zelenskyy failing to notify his own military. They were better informed than he was. Merely, he had to appear naive, so that the Russians would not know how much he knew, or how much his preparations were connected to NATO. In fact, what many officers might not even realize is that Zelenskyy was on the same page with his top commander. But loose lips sink ships. To ambush an enemy who is trying to surprise attack you is not easy.
I think this question will remain open for a long time. We can’t get into Zelenskyy’s head and say exactly whether he was naive or was trying to appear naive, or whether he was acting on some secret promises from Oman.
As for the military, it is one thing to know Russia’s plans in advance and a completely different thing to be informed at the moment when the actual attack is already happening.

I think that it was real, because Golitsyn said that that was the moment they realized the West would support half of an alleged split. He makes it sound like this was a revelation to them, leading to their fake Sino-Soviet split, which suggests to me the initial Tito split was genuine to some degree.

I don’t think Russia will invade the Baltic states, just as I don’t think China will make a move against Taiwan. From what I can see, their current strategy is to weaken the United States and Europe economically. Just look at what’s happening to the European automotive industry: it’s facing serious difficulties, while Chinese manufacturers are flooding global markets with their cars. At the moment, this seems to me the most realistic scenario.

Most of them focus domestically, but in episode he mentions Golitsyn, Angleton, Andropov, they even touch on Christopher Story and the Russian Mafia and their potential connections with the American Mafia who hired the hitmen for MLK.

I think that he is just an average citizen, a black plumber from Texas, I believe. And he is a Christian. So I think that he started this documentary project from his own black perspective to examine the MLK phenomenon and how it affected his community. And I think in the course of doing the research, he figured out there were people behind MLK and that they were Communists.

I just thought it was very cool that someone had followed the trail and simply reported on where it led. I think the general theory there is that MLK had accomplished his purpose and it was time for the new phase. MLK had been the soft, kind face and afterward came a new aggressive form. He demonstrates this well by showing how Stokely Carmichael was essentially the next “chosen one”, being funded for many trips, the “black power” rhetoric, much more aggressive and violent. And yes, they used the death for many riots. I think that it is clear that King’s star was fading and he was worth more as a martyr, because they instantly used his death to campaign for a national holiday.
His “mountaintop” speech in hindsight seems obviously foreshadowing by his Communist handler Stanley Levison and suggests higher, broader, planning beforehand, especially given how it was used afterwards in an almost religious manner. It is objectively a great speech and skilled manipulation. I had not actually scrutinized the timeline and in hindsight it is quite obvious: he literally gave the speech the night before his death. It is almost too obvious.
As far as the specific details, they are quite convoluted. If the Russians did it, they did an excellent job. A convenient bundle with a rifle and some belongings and fingerprints was found nearby. The man James Earl Ray whose fingerprints it was was a career criminal who said he had been paid by a man to purchase the rifle and do other trips which in hindsight made him look guilty. A woman who said the man who ran out of the alleged room said the man was not Ray and was subsequently institutionalized and medicated after forcibly.
I am also skeptical that that was the actual rifle used. The shot it and the bullet type was not a clean match.
A policeman pulled King’s security contingent because he said a local pastor and King associate had requested it.
Additionally, there were multiple witnesses who said they instead saw a man run from a bushy knoll afterwards, with a blanket covering him and no rifle. The city razed that knoll to the ground the next day, probably destroying evidence. So what happened to the rifle if he was the actual shooter? A local diner owner says he was paid to dispose of it. He said a man came shortly after the shot, gave him the gun, and ran. The diner is right near the knoll. This is the mob connection.
One other question is how James Earl Ray got so much money – shortly after escaping from prison, he traveled all over including to Mexico, before finally going to Tennessee. In recent years, the King family has embraced the conspiracy narrative, but of course only for the purposes of blaming the FBI.

Yes. It is possible he will be replaced. We do not fully understand the inner workings of this opaque and murderous system. Some have alleged that Putin is not really in charge, but a figurehead. Few take this view seriously, but there are some strange things about the system. Organized crime is in this mix, so you have to wonder at the linkages and internal cleavages.
If Russia’s warheads fail, what would be the warheads most likely fail-points? And what frequency of failure might we hope for? The other question might be, has Russia used USA computers to check the usability of their warheads? Can we hope for a bunch of 5k to 15k explosions? And then what if Ukraines very best engineers and mathematicians aren’t where the warheads explode, what do we have going forward in that case?
Maintenance is the fail point. These warheads need constant upkeep and care.

There is no way to know the answer at this time. Anything can happen in this regard. It is a war.

I have read that prior to becoming head of the FBI, he was involved in a documentary (about Trump and a deep state conspiracy) by a Russian filmmaker with ties to the Kremlin.

It more and more looks like a KGB/GRU trap so that the war in Ukraine, although the fighting is real and damage substantial, nevertheless the objective of the Kremlin is evidently to prolong this conflict and tie up the West into it, and to control the flow of information as much as possible.
It is a sinister scheme because then anything can happen and escalate from it and the Kremlin KGB criminals do have this way their necessary leverage and excuse to attack the US etc. if anything escalates, which is their objective in the first place.
