Cheating and deception are not frivolous pursuits. To the contrary, they are serious, high-level activities that are regarded as the most important weapon of the [communist] party.
Joseph D. Douglass, Jr.
The communists have always relied on deception as their main weapon. Alexander Solzhenitsyn said of the communists, “anyone who proclaims violence as his method is inexorably bound to choose the lie as his principle.” Boris Pasternak, who wrote Doctor Zhivago, described the essence of the communist regime as the “inhuman power of the lie.” The founder of the first communist regime, Vladimir Lenin, famously said, “We deny all morality … we say that it is a deception … a fraud and a stultification of the minds of the workers and peasants in the interests of the landowners and capitalists.”[i]
Such is the moral teaching of communism. And so, we should not be too surprised (or skeptical) at KGB defector Anatoliy Golitsyn’s 1984 prediction that the communists planned to fake their own collapse in order to fool the West. If everything they do is predicated on lies, and they pull down the communist flag from the Kremlin, why believe them? But then, we did believe them. And look at the trouble we are in today.
In a volume titled Why the Soviets Violate Arms Control Treaties, we find an essay by a Polish diplomatic defector from communism, Zdzislaw M. Ruraz. “Soviet actions,” stated Ruraz, “are ideologically driven. Having embraced Leninism as gospel, the Soviets genuinely believe that this ideology can explain anything happening in the world and can even predict the future.”[ii]
Communists believe Marxism-Leninism is a science. Therefore, they are simply “following the science.” If this sounds familiar, we should not be too surprised. The communists never stopped believing in their “science.” According to Ruraz, “It is wrong to dismiss their frequent quotations from Lenin as mere rhetoric. Any such quotations … should be taken most seriously.”
Given Lenin’s implied Science of the Lie, Moscow’s continuing violations of arms control treaties make perfect sense. At the same time it is important for communists to blame everything on America and the West. Famously, Lenin said that Western imperialism is based on warmongering. “There was an epoch of relatively ‘peaceful’ capitalism,” wrote Lenin. “This epoch is gone for good; it has given way to an epoch which is relatively much more violent, spasmodic, disastrous and conflicting; an epoch which for the mass of the population is typified not so much by a ‘horror without end’ as by a ‘horrible end.’”[iii]
Such rhetoric sounded plausible in the wake of World War I. Today, as Lenin’s epigones pound Kharkiv into rubble, it rings hollow. Ukraine is being destroyed and the Kremlin says it is America’s fault. Russia’s little helpers are constantly claiming that America is “poking the bear.” No. The bear has never ceased to poke us. The communist revolutions in Venezuela and Congo, Nicaragua and Brazil owe everything to Russia. It is Russia that has violated the U.N. Charter and the Budapest Memorandum by invading Ukraine. This is in keeping with Lenin’s double standard, as the West signed no treaty restricting the eastward expansion of NATO as claimed by Russian propagandists. Knowing that Moscow has been an international bully, the small countries of east and central Europe have sought the protection of NATO – and for good reason, as everyone can see. Furthermore, Moscow believes it should own Europe, as we saw last week with our excerpt from Boris Yeltsin’s last meeting with Bill Clinton. “Give Europe to Russia,” was Yeltsin’s request in 1999.
Who, then, is the real imperialist and warmonger? What right do we have to “give” whole continents away to Moscow? How does this make us safer here in America?
“To understand Soviet reasoning,” wrote defector Jan Sejna, “it is necessary to first understand Marxist-Leninist theory and Russian philosophy.”[iv] If someone’s rhetoric emphasizes American imperialism and the plight of exploited people, it bears the stamp of Marxism-Leninism (i.e., communism). If it seeks to trample down whole countries and regions, it also bears the stamp of Marxism-Leninism. It does not matter what excuses are made for military aggression. The project itself is linked to the communist movement. That is why the Russians are putting up statues of Lenin in Ukraine.
“There is a tendency among many Western commentators on Soviet affairs to talk about Marxist-Leninist ideology as if it were dead,” wrote Sejna. “For all practical purposes,” added Sejna, “Marxist-Leninist ideology is as alive and pertinent in the 1980s as it was in the 1920s; moreover, there is no basis for Western hopes that changes are imminent or even possible. Indeed, if anything, the ideology is more sophisticated and mature now than at any time in the past.”[v]
If you really believe that Russia changed in 1991 then please explain why Putin erected a bronze statue to communist dictator Fidel Castro in Moscow. Let us be reasonable about this. Non-communist leaders do not put statues of communist dictators in their capital cities. We must admit, at long last, that communism still rules Russia from behind the high Kremlin wall. Lenin’s communist creed continues to inspire a worldwide movement. When Lenin said, on 27 September 1905, that “Promises are like pie crusts, made to be broken,” he also said, “It is ridiculous not to know the history of war, not to know that a treaty is a means of gaining strength.”[vi]
Jimmy: Are We Fighting Communism?
Apologies for my microphone problems early on this broadcast. Jimmy sounds good, has some interesting things to say, and this is one of our best discussions so far.

QUOTE FROM MR. NYQUIST:
We need to avoid domestic political violence. We have some very excitable people, with bad ideas, who think violence is a solution here in America. It is not. If we end up in such a situation, everyone will get hurt and our enemy wins. We must focus on our enemy, especially since our foreign enemies are directly in league with our domestic enemy.
———-
In terms of lacking authority, this is the rule, but when it comes to self-defense on part of ordinary citizens, when the government is fully communist and communist tyranny is implemented, and moreover when the communists inflict political murders and concentration camps upon the population of the by then no longer free country, it is on the contrary moral duty and Divine Law which dictates the active and armed resistance of the just against the unjust. (Holy Scripture –
He that shall lead into captivity, shall go into captivity: he that shall kill by the sword, must be killed by the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
[Apocalypse 13:10]
AND
Then Jesus saith to him: Put up again thy sword into its place: for all that take the sword shall perish with the sword. [St. Matthew 26:52].
——–
So pacifism is a heresy, and if pacifism was prevalent there would have never been the Battle of Lepanto and Catholic Europe would have been part of the Turkish Empire since the 16th century, and the United States would probably not even exist, if people did not take up arms in defense of justice and truth.
It is the way how to get to that point that matters – so then you don’t want to miss the preparatory stage and allow the communists to prevent all to resist, because they are ready for that.
The book from PM Mikolajczyk speaks about the Polish Civil War, and the communist electoral fraud and such like things, and there are many many many points very pertinent to these times. That’s why they put that other copy on register only reading, and it is truly surprising that somebody from (looks like) India University of Delhi uploaded the other copy so that people don’t have to register to read it.
In another words, there is a limit which is called justice, how long one turns the other cheek and when that option is eliminated by tyrants to be suitable or prudent, and one must not consider that when you live in fully communist tyrannical system that they will tolerate those who oppose them, and allow them to breath freely…
Self-defense of your lives and family and country cannot be called political violence but your duty which must be exercised and undertaken and the authority of all who are sincerely committed to uphold it, even at the cost of one’s life.
It does require unity, which, and this must be admitted, is not present in the population today, but one has to hope that when the time comes it will develop and bring good fruits of justice, against the communist tyrants, always excluding the misleading false opinions of the communist controlled opposition.
I have never advocated pacificism. Politics requires good judgment. One is not obligated to commit violent acts against bad people, or to play a Batman role.
When politics become infested with communists and their tyranny becomes the daily life of the ordinary citizens, and when justice is destroyed and removed by communist force and replaced by injustice, and when concentration camps with no way out are introduced for those who resist the communists and who will not submit to their evil way of life (communist slavery), then yes, it is the duty to resist the communists even with weapons and active warfare, and all the countries that have fallen under the yoke of communism would love to go back to that point so that they could fight the communist criminals, even with bare hands, only to preserve their freedom and liberty of conscience.
In terms of moral theology, none addressed this issue more aptly than St. Thomas Aquinas in his Summa Theologiae, under the subject whether Vengeance is lawful.
This should be required reading in all schools and for all citizens of any country, so that the government cannot inflict injustice on them without any recourse to self-defense on part of the citizens.
In terms of what Catholics should do, the Church has always declared this point very clearly – when the communists use violence, you don’t meet them with useless “subpoenas” and “strongly worded letters”, or “petitions” – but you defend yourself and your neighbors against this diabolical plague, with equal means of self-defense.
The Catholic Church has never advocated nor taught unauthorized violence and such like evil conduct, but organized resistance against the communist run and stolen political power does not fall into that category – and when it comes to communism, which is militant atheism, the chance of salvation of the soul is imperiled so greatly that, even reluctantly, Catholics are obligated to resist without the slightest compromise, to preserve the Catholic Faith and true Church from such atheistic assault of the godless.
(These are in essence the words of the last good Pope Pius XII and in regards to communism).
Let us hope it will not come to that, but that is not what the communists have in mind and so it come to that one day, because it is foretold, the time of the Antichrist (3 and half years of extreme evils), and so yes, it will most likely come to that.
And yet the Catholic Church has this Pope who calls for an alliance between Marxists and Catholics. Clearly, no one can act forthrightly until a sufficient number of people speak forthrightly. That number has not manifested as yet.
This is a talk delivered by two German Journalists and authors with the title “The toxic civil society of Russia”.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5W2PSlbNsFY&ab_channel=Zukunftsforum%22WertderFreiheit%22inDresden
The talk is delivered in German and Youtube (currently?) allows on my side only for automatic generated German subtitles.
As this is, at least to me, an astonishing clear headed and chilling look at the reality of present day Russia it seems worth mentioning.
Even if probably only a few readers here understand the German language, the fact that this kind of reflection is happening, might already warrant sharing it.
“In Russia there is no individual conscience for collective behavior (of the society). And this is the basis for every civil society. This means we simply can not approach Russia with the rationality by which we judge and observe societies.” (Quote from timestamp 14:29)

Automatic transalation of the video description and its contents:
The two authors and radio journalists Dr. Gesine Dornblüth and Thomas Franke lived in Moscow from 2012 to 2017 and worked there as correspondents for Deutschlandfunk.
Last year, they published the book “Beyond Putin – Russia’s Toxic Society”.
They will also address this topic in their joint lecture at https://zukunftsforum-dresden.eu.
0:00 Why is Russia’s society toxic?
01:18 Acceptance of violence
01:57 Army as a non-transparent lawless space since the Soviet era
02:51 In Russia, every 3rd man has to deal with the penal system
03:54 Perpetrators are not held accountable
04:45 Impunity is another element of toxicity in Russian society
05:57 Colonial and imperial crimes have not been dealt with
06:28 Disconnection of the individual from the state
07:35 Putin came to power because society wanted him
09:29 Re-introduction of criminal psychiatry, especially against opponents of war
10:00 Olga Suvorova human rights activist: “Fixed idea of wanting to help others” “takes part in social life”
10:18 Oleg Orlov (Memorial): “heightened sense of justice” “lack of self-preservation instinct”
10:58 Russian society failed to protest when it was still possible
11:31 Lev Gudkov (Levada Center): 74% of Russians support the war. Ceasefire yes, but on Russian terms
14:29 1) There is no individual sense of responsibility for collective action in Russia
15:21 2) This society is subconsciously deeply traumatized
15:36 3) This society produces violence externally, but also internally
16:09 Junarmia: about 1.3 million children and young people under arms
17:32 We are dealing with people who think that we hate Russia, they are brainwashed and armed
17:54 Russia is spreading an ecosystem of disinformation, of mythology about its own existence here in the West
19:08 Many cannot imagine the scale of destruction and viciousness
20:41 Donbass deliberately chosen
22:40 We are dealing with mafia logic on an international scale
23:51 Russia: a mafia state with nuclear weapons
24:37 Exiles are at odds with each other
29:11 We are warmongers and in favor of buying weapons (…)
29:42 Who do we have in Russia who is not in jail right now?
30:28 We’re dealing with a society that we can’t get close to
31:32 How can Europe make sure that in 2 generations they don’t have to be afraid of Russia anymore?
32:04 (…) we have an absolutely toxic situation in Georgia right now, Armenia has a completely broken society due to Russian influence
34:37 How are we going to teach Russian society that they have a responsibility for the actions of their state?
40:41 Sad experience of having lived in Russia
41:26 The core is violence, which is also the core of every fascist system
42:57 Schröder, must not only get out of the SPD, he belongs in jail
43:57 In my opinion, the key is Ukraine, so that’s the front door: so the Russians have to lose
45:32 Listening to the Balts has some learning effects
47:00 The key is that the Russians perceive it as a defeat, whatever it looks like: “We are a nation of winners, it’s in our genes”, quote from Putin 2012
47:58 We have to win this competition or we will lose it; there will be no draw
49:45 Over several generations, people have been driven out of their minds to think for themselves what is good, what is bad, is it evil, is it right, is it wrong
51:19 Putin is therefore also afraid of a Ukraine that is oriented towards the West, because it is simply a counter-model to his model, i.e. the mafia model
53:19 States that suffer from corruption are of course much easier to control and the population much easier to suppress (…)
55:24 Why are there no groups or no support from the state, institutionally (…) to counter Russian tactics?
56:51 What means do we use as democracies? We have an open discourse
58:51 (…) moral question: Do we fight with the same means as a dictatorship or do we stay clean?
01:00:38 (…) a long line on which we stand. But the last governments under Merkel didn’t get it
01:01:18 Business representatives have asked us to change this reporting – it’s damaging to business
01:04:02 CIA may still know how to invent these anecdotes
01:05:01 The post-Soviet countries are not really sovereign; their sovereignty is limited
01:07:25 Putin’s main motive for destroying Ukraine was quite simply to maintain his own power
01:09:04 If we manage to consolidate democratic discourse here, then this kind of warfare will no longer stand a chance against us
Jeff Nyquist, what is the difference, in two words between socialism and comunism?
Before Marx began refining and scientizing his vocabulary, there was no serious distinction between socialism and communism as these words had no precise meaning. Marx’s claim that there are stages of development, with socialism coming just before communism, led to a differentiation. Thus, the Soviet system was building socialism as the path to communism. No society had reached communism as yet, according to Marxist-Leninist theory. Despite this, there is an odd meaninglessness to these terms.

@JRNyquist: Is this more bluster and lies on the Neo-Soviet Union’s part, or should we take this message seriously?
I think we should not allow ourselves to be panicked by threats, but we should urge our own country to build up its military. This is the correct approach. We should also clarify the issue of who is working with Russia and China in the West. It is the most difficult issue that must be brought forward.
Thanks. But all of this is so confusing, IMO! Especially because we’re supposedly drawing closer to a precipice, in the form of a potential Third World War.
Hold fast.

Jeff, what do you think of the fact that the DOJ is going after Bill Guan of the Epoch Times? Is there a possibility the DOJ is acting on behalf of Chinese interests, since the Epoch Times has been so critical of Communist China? Miles Guo is also currently on trial for fraud. Do you think these two cases are related?
I do not know enough of the details to answer this question. Perhaps someone else here knows.
