The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves.

Controlled opposition is a special technique. The tsars used it to maintain their power, and so did Chinese emperors. Totalitarian socialist regimes have used controlled opposition more effectively than anyone. In fact, George Orwell’s novel, 1984, is largely about a man who joins a controlled opposition movement under a totalitarian socialist regime.
The idea behind controlled opposition is to bring all opponents of the government under the sway of government agents who are masquerading as oppositionists. Agent provocateurs, placed into the leadership of opposition movements, can lead a regime’s opponents into useless infighting and a tail-chasing activism that is guaranteed to achieve nothing. Oppositionists who join a false opposition movement are neutralized. Provocations can also be organized that expose the regime’s most dangerous enemies to arrest and incarceration.
Controlled opposition can also be established in hostile foreign countries, where local officials can be bought off, blackmailed, or recruited. A large enough agent network, especially when allied to organized crime, can colonize a country and plunder its resources or sabotage its defense. As the United States is the leading opponent of communist China and Russia, we might ask whether Russian and Chinese agents, allied with criminal syndicates, have subverted the U.S. Government – turning it into a subsidiary of China/Russia. There is a body of testimony, from communist sources, that the Democratic Party has been infiltrated by communist agents working for the Kremlin-directed Communist Party USA. The purpose of the infiltration of the Democratic Party, according to a CPUSA organizer in 1983, was to elect a stealth communist president. Since that time, three presidents with documented communist affiliations have been elected: Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden.[i]
A close study of the Democratic Party suggests this plan may have been successfully implemented.[ii] If that is the case, then we are in serious trouble. At present, the Democratic Party controls the White House, the United States Senate, and dominates the upper management of the national intelligence bureaucracy. In effect, a silent coup may have already occurred in the United States.
The national security interests of the United States are so consistently undermined by the present Democratic administration, it is hard to explain as stupidity. And the Republicans are also culpable. The congressional deadlock over funding Ukraine and the open border represents a double success for Moscow and Beijing; for the Republicans are blocking the Democrat’s funding for Ukraine while the Democrats are keeping the border open for the sake of China and the drug cartels. Here is a disagreement engineered for the benefit of our national enemies – in Beijing and Moscow. All the while, America’s leaders wrap themselves in the flag even as they sabotage America’s border defense (as Democrats) and the defense of America’s natural allies (as Republicans). Each party delivers the worst result, and each blocks the best choice of the other. However foolish this is, we should not assume it is entirely accidental.
Then there is our decrepit ICBMs, our overaged nuclear warheads, and our inability to keep up with Chinese war preparations. For many years the Democrats have been telling people that the number one threat to American security is global warming. Such lies might easily kill us all, because the greatest threat is not weather. The greatest threat is the socialist bloc aligned with Russia, China, and Iran. Already they are creating an economic alliance with which to attack the U.S. economy.
And what is being done in Washington, D.C.? Again and again, our corrupt politicians make excuses. American national security and border security is forced to take a backseat to environmental concerns, to anti-racism, anti-sexism, or old-fashioned anti-capitalism. Even the flying saucer mystery is being used to threaten defense contractors, who are supposedly hiding crashed spaceships (according to congressional testimony from David Grusch). Our political imbecilities pile higher and higher. We have been conditioned to have almost no regard for national security, as if America enjoys some kind of God-given and irrevocable invulnerability.
While Marxists have taken over the Justice Department and are arresting conservatives, the MAGA movement is determined to indict itself by showing more sympathy for Moscow than Ukraine. Tucker Carlson is openly saying we should get out of NATO and abandon Europe to Russia. Steve Bannon and others have apparently taken this line as well. What kind of American would advocate the unraveling of America’s strategic position? On what grounds?
As Trump and MAGA have been accused by the Democrats of doing this, why collaborate in making it so? If the Democratic Party is full of Marxists and other socialist types, the Republican Party under MAGA is openly posturing as the party of the proletariat. Therefore, it may be said that we have a false opposition (versus Russia and China) wrapped inside of a false opposition. It appears to be a political straitjacket requiring a political Houdini to mount an escape.
If the American left forms one blade of an enormous scissors, the American right can form the other blade. With these two blades under the control of Moscow and Beijing, the agents of Russia and China can begin a process of cutting America to pieces. It seems, indeed, that Americans are more frightened and agitated by party differences than by threats from Russia and China. While America’s attention is drawn from responsibilities abroad, the most intelligent and patriotic Americans will be driven out of politics – leaving the field to the enemy’s agents of influence and their dupes.
Both political parties in the United States have useful idiots today. And these useful idiots have divvied up all the turf. The idiot Democrats can keep the border open while demoralizing the military with Critical Race Theory. The Republicans can cut support for Ukraine as they mistake Russia for a potential ally. If Democrats have been empty and insincere, Republicans have covered their emptiness with apparent sincerity. While the left is readily manipulated by longstanding anti-capitalist narratives about the environment, “white privilege” and “a woman’s right” to kill her own baby, the party of Ronald Reagan has turned to proletarian isolationist conspiracism. The late M. Stanton Evans once said, “America has two political parties: the Evil Party and the Stupid Party.” While the Democratic Party is led by agents and dupes of the old communist movement, the Republican Party is being reshaped by conspiracy narratives.
When Controlled Opposition Fails: The Case of Ukraine
Can America break free from the internal political and economic limitations that Russian and Chinese agents have imposed? Can we overcome erroneous ideologies and controlled opposition tactics? To see how this might be done, we should look at the case of Ukraine; for in 2011 there appeared to be no hope of that country becoming genuinely independent. And yet, Ukraine became independent – and has fought the Russians to a standstill.
A study of Ukraine’s elite, carried out by Boris Chikulay fourteen years ago, showed that 51 percent of Ukrainian officials, parliamentarians, and bankers, were trained in Soviet KGB academies or schools. When all is said and done, the Kremlin had a strong chokehold on Ukraine’s political system and economy.
From 1991 to 2014 Ukraine was, in large part, dominated by secret Communist Party structures. Aside from the fact that statues of Vladimir Lenin dotted the entire country, genuine Ukrainian independence could only occur in opposition to Moscow. But how could this occur since Ukraine’s “official liberals” and nationalists were led by Kremlin agents? It is no wonder that rank-and-file Ukrainians developed a distrust of political bigshots. So great was this distrust that Ukraine elected a diminutive Jewish comedian to the presidency in 2019. Years earlier, the presidency of rising political star Viktor Yushchenko proved disappointing, though Yushchenko’s presidency was the first sign of impending trouble for the Kremlin. In 2004 Moscow was worried about Yushchenko and his conservative American wife. In fact, the Kremlin was so afraid they poisoned Yushchenko with dioxin.
The poisoning of Yushchenko appears to have been supervised by a high-level Ukrainian SBU/KGB official who subsequently fled to Moscow.[iii] Aside from Russia’s hand in the assassination being exposed, Yushchenko survived the poisoning. Of course, he was too sick to actively campaign and lost the Ukrainian presidential election to the Kremlin’s favorite Viktor Yanukovych. The outcome was so outrageous, millions of Ukrainians stood up and demanded a do-over. Millions took to the streets in what was called the Orange Revolution, ostensibly led by Yulia Tymoshenko (i.e., the “gas princess,” aka Ukraine’s Joan of Arc). Under severe pressure, Ukraine’s courts decided to cancel the 2004 presidential election results and hold another election. On the second go-round Yushchenko was elected president, defeating Yanukovych. Unfortunately, the wily Tymoshenko became prime minister of Ukraine (and subsequently neutered Yushchenko).
To work, controlled opposition is fueled by leaders who join revolutionary movements to break them. Tymoshenko appears to have been such an agent; for not only did she betray President Yushchenko once she became prime minister, but she was effective at damaging Ukrainian national unity by dividing Ukrainians along linguistic lines – which served the larger Kremlin strategy of divide-and-conquer.[iv] If anyone thought the “good guys” won in the Orange Revolution, they were not watching the bait-and-switch maneuvers of the “gas princess.” During Yushchenko’s presidency, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko (a great friend of German Chancellor Angela Merkel), transferred presidential powers to herself. At the same time, while appearing to take a pro-Western position, Tymoshenko continued to make money with her Russian business partners. Her corrupt dealings were straight out of the old nomenklatura playbook. Shoving President Yushchenko out of her way, the gas princess attempted to become president in the 2010 election, losing in the second round to Kremlin stooge Viktor Yanukovych. Moscow thought all would be well. But then, the whole system of Russian control over Ukraine would unexpectedly crash and burn.
Why did it break down? Violence and treachery often become necessary when political leaders have boxed themselves into a corner. On the morning of 2 December 2013 barricades went up across the city of Kyiv. Contrary to the nonsense put out by Tucker Carlson, these barricades were not built by CIA agents. These barricades were built spontaneously by Ukrainian citizens in response to unprovoked violence against peaceful student demonstrators in the early morning hours of 30 November 2013. On that fateful occasion, Ukrainian youth had been demonstrating against President Viktor Yanukovych’s refusal to sign an Association Agreement with the European Union. The last day of this protest was 29 November, so the students were beginning to go home with a few spending the night. Professor Mychailo Wynnyckyj recounted what happened next:
At approximately 4am Kyiv time on Saturday 30 November, ‘Berkut’ riot police viciously attacked the few demonstrators who remained camped beneath the Stella monument on Maidan. Video footage distributed via Internet clearly shows that the police were not acting with the intent to disperse; their orders were to clear and occupy the central area of Independence Square where the protesters had set up their center of operations. The several hundred young people (mostly university students) who had remained on Maidan overnight did not resist; many were actually sleeping on makeshift mattresses when the attack began. They were savagely beaten anyway. The operation lasted no more than 15 minutes. During the immediate aftermath of the raid, many of the shocked young people were pursued by riot police through side streets, and a small group took refuge in St. Michael’s monastery…. [v]
That was the first time since the Mongol invasion that Ukrainians sought refuge in St. Michael’s monastery. Blood stained the pavements of Independence Square that morning. Wynnyckyj called this, “the night that changed Ukraine forever.” It was not something the CIA could have foreseen or engineered; for who could have anticipated the criminal idiocy of Viktor Yanukovych? By an act of gratuitous violence, Yanukovych had enraged millions of Ukrainians. Had he allowed the protesters to go home in peace, Yanukovych would not have become a pariah. He would not have fled to Russia, abandoned by his bodyguards. Had he allowed the protesters to disperse peacefully, there would not have been a revolution in Ukraine. But Yanukovych used violence on his own people, and they turned against him. Millions of Ukrainians wanted Yanukovych to resign. And these millions were prepared to answer violence with violence. As it happened, Wynnyckyj witnessed a young protester, his head bandaged, meeting his middle-aged mother. The mother exchanged the boy’s bloody coat for a clean one. “She kissed him, hugged him, and sent him off – back to the protests,” wrote Wynnyckij. She was, he explained, sending her son to war. Wynnyckyj added, “After the early Saturday morning attack on the students of Maidan, a paradigm shift occurred; the protest movement ceased to be about Europe. People on Ukraine’s streets were no longer calling for the government to sign the EU Association Agreement…. That weekend, people took to the streets because they had lost all faith in their political leadership.” [vi]
What followed was the first significant revolution of the twenty-first century. The Revolution of Dignity was essentially conservative. The millions who stood up to Yanukovych were not overthrowing Ukraine’s constitutional system. They were attempting to make it accountable. The Ukrainian people were no longer willing to put up with government lawlessness and violence. They were no longer willing to accept another round of false promises and betrayals. When Russia’s agents in the Ukrainian government realized what they were up against, many fled to Moscow.
Controlled opposition is a great thing when the opposition is small, when it is predictable, when it is plodding. But when millions are aroused to spontaneous action, and there is blood in the streets, a few thousand security troops are not going to stop millions of determined citizens. This is how Russia’s system of controlled opposition broke down in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Revolution had no major leaders. It relied on thousands of small leaders. Ordinarily, the Russians can put pressure on a few important leaders – by threatening their families. It is not possible to control thousands of small leaders.
Suspicious Political Personalities
Ukraine is not the only country Russia has sought to control through agent networks. Russia and China have established clandestine beachheads in many capitals. Those who are paying close attention know that the West is full of suspicious political personalities: Trudeau in Canada, Biden in the United States, Scholz in Germany, Macron in France. These are not straightforward men. And it is no mere speculation to say that they represent beachheads. Everyone is so confused about the game that is being played. Yet the game is quite simple. By pretense and by misdirection, people are easily led away from the truth. Machiavelli explained, “Everyone realizes how praiseworthy it is for a prince to honor his word and to be straightforward rather than crafty in his dealings; nonetheless … princes who have achieved great things have been those who have given their word lightly, who have known how to trick men with their cunning, and who, in the end, have overcome those abiding by honest principles.”[vii] Of course, Machiavelli was ignorant of that ancient wisdom which said, “Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, And he who rolls a stone [uphill to do mischief], it will come back on him.”[viii]
In politics and international affairs many actions are deceptive in themselves. Nothing should be taken at face value. Only the careful observer, who has studied the situation through long years, can see what is done to mislead and what is done for its own sake. We should not be confused, therefore, when Russia’s “friends” in the West appear to help Ukraine. As Russia and China ready themselves for war, the friends of Russia and China must wear disguises of seeming opposition to Moscow and Beijing. It requires the study of a lifetime to see through such disguises. Blindness only requires wishful, careless, self-deceit.
In the present situation, those who think Biden has been a loyal supporter of Ukraine should read the “Proposed Plan for Victory in Ukraine,” written by leading House Republicans. In a section titled “Timeline of Biden’s Deadly Delays in Sending Weapons to Ukraine,” we read that Biden “halted a package of lethal military assistance to Ukraine” in June 2021 to facilitate a Biden-Putin Summit. Biden also pulled two American warships out of the Black Sea in advance of Russia’s invasion, and waived President Trump’s critical sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. [ix] And despite all, Biden was exceptionally slow to send assistance to Ukraine after the Russian invasion. More effective arms were initially denied, and would not have been sent without arm-twisting from influential Americans, Brits, and Poles. In terms of real weapons, it is something of a joke that it took almost a year-and-a-half of fighting before America supplied 31 Abrams tanks to Ukraine. Surely, Biden can say – as Iago in Shakespeare’s Othello – “I am not what I am.” Or, as Machiavelli explained, “Men in general judge by their eyes rather than by their hands; because everyone is in a position to watch, few are in a position to come in close touch with you. Everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are. And those few dare not gainsay the many who are backed by the majesty of the state.”[x]
In the first weeks of the war in Ukraine Biden did not rush military supplies to Kyiv. Instead, he offered Zelensky an escape route. And when the invasion was almost two months old, Biden’s support came in the form of small arms and small arms ammunition – which Ukraine has in plentiful supply already. To understand Biden’s delayed assistance, and his foot-dragging on more meaningful assistance, we must turn to the Bukovsky Archives for answers, which may be found under the heading of “Biden’s ‘Secret Diplomacy’” – which refers to a Soviet archival document dated 9-20 April 1979. It is a top-secret report by a high-level communist official, Vadim V. Zagladin, responsible for receiving a U.S. Senate delegation led by Senator Joseph Biden. Zagladin described his meeting with Biden to the CPSU Central Committee as follows:
Unofficially, Biden and Lugar said that, in the end of the day, they were not so much concerned with having a problem of this or that citizen solved as with showing the American public that they do care for ‘human rights.’ They must prove to their voters that they are ‘effective in fulfilling their wishes.’ In other words, the collocutors directly admitted that what is happening is a kind of show, that they absolutely do not care for the fate of most so-called dissidents.
In the same conversation, Biden asked us to ensure that senators’ appeals on those issues are not left unanswered – even if we just reply that the letter is received but we cannot do anything. [xi]
Biden’s concern for Soviet dissidents in 1979 was “for show.” Today, his concern for Ukraine is also “for show.” Because Biden’s party has accused Donald Trump of being a Russian puppet, the Democrats are compelled to speak out against Russia. At the same time, Biden’s strategy of “reverse intentions” is using the open border issue to lure his domestic opposition into blocking Ukrainian supplies. It is better, indeed, for Biden to saddle the Republicans with losing Ukraine in the same way that Joseph McCarthy saddled the Democrats with “losing China” in 1950. To a very great extent, Biden’s assistance to Ukraine is a serviceable alibi.
Since 1991 American politics has become a politics of inversion. The United States Government supposedly stands in opposition to Moscow and Beijing. Ask yourself if this opposition is making all the right moves? We have no civil defense. We are not building ICBMs. Our nuclear weapons are past their shelf-life, we have sold off our petroleum reserve (in part to China), our southern border is wide open, our military has been demoralized, and we are bankrupting ourselves with social spending. It may be said that Joseph Biden’s government is a kind of controlled opposition to Russia, like that of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
How does America break out of this? The American people must remain united. They must learn how the game works. They must rebuke every lie. They must single out every liar. We cannot allow useful idiots to dominate our national discourse. We have to get to the bottom of pedophile networks that interpenetrate business and politics (especially, consider Jeffrey Epstein’s operation), if only to assure ourselves that such operations are not controlled by the Russian secret service (or by criminals aligned with Moscow).
America has been asleep for many years. We have allowed enemy agent networks to thrive on American soil. We have failed to see that Mexican drug cartels are working with China and Russia. Combinations of this kind cannot be ignored for long.
The Ukrainian people have set an example for us all. They stood up to the Russian agents in their government. They have fought against corruption as a path to freedom. We need to do the same thing here in America.

[i] The author was present at a communist meeting in 1983 at which a Communist Party organizer discussed an ongoing plan to take over the Democratic Party through its left wing. Derek Shearer, a Marxist associate of Tom Hayden (then married to Jane Fonda), told the author in 1981 that the plan was to elect a “stealth socialist president” who would change the system from within. A communist working in a leadership position within the National Education Association told the author, in March 1983, that she had “high hopes” for this young governor in Arkansas, Bill Clinton. While studying at Oxford, Clinton traveled behind the Iron Curtain to Moscow in December 1969 and Prague in January 1970. This was not exactly the tourist season. At the same time, Clinton’s wife-to-be, Hillary Rodham sidled up to Marxist radical Saul Alinsky and also worked for the California law firm that represented the Black Panthers. The Clintons were involved with many figures from the Institute for Policy Studies, a think tank with links to communist bloc special services. Barack Obama, who was mentored by card carrying communist Frank Marshall Davis, announced the beginning of his political career in the living room of Weather Underground terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrne. Obama was also known for his communist views at when he attended Occidental College. Joe Biden not only compromised himself as a U.S. Senator when he led a Senate delegation to Moscow in 1979 (see the Bukovsky archives), according to Central Committee CPSU documents, but his political career has long been sponsored by the Council for a Livable World, a communist front organization. Biden like to posture as a social conservative through much of his career, but consistently voted on bills that supported Soviet interests.

After 2014 Tymoshenko gave herself away by publicly echoing Moscow’s propaganda about the war in Donbas. Pieces of information leak from numbers of different, independent sources.” After the Euromaidan Revolution Tymoshenko regularly met and collaborated with Russian stooges from Yanukovych’s inner circle. The Ukraine Monitor further stated: “Tymoshenko has always been connected with Russia – both in business and politics. [And] in the mid-nineties, she was reselling Russian gas in cooperation with the then chairman of Gazprom Rem Viakhirev. According to press releases, it was Viakhirev who insisted that Tymoshenko should enter the government of [Prime Minister] Viktor Yushchenko in 1999 and even the then president Leonid Kuchma was not able to resist such strong pressure [from Russia].” To summarize Tymoshenko’s many suspicious actions, she refused to publicly condemn the Russian invasion of Georgia in 2008 (when she was prime minister). She partnered with the self-declared communist and Putin deputy, Igor Sechin, in the gas business; but the most serious charge against her was that she brought Russian spy Pavel Lebedev into Ukrainian politics, maneuvering him into the position of Ukraine’s defense minister. As defense minister, Lebedev attempted to destroy Ukraine’s army, selling off military equipment at bargain basement prices. During Tymoshenko’s term as prime minister, Lebedev devastated Ukraine’s military so that by 2014 the country was helpless in the face of Putin’s “little green men” (i.e., the invaders of Crimea and Donbas). When her corrupt backroom deals finally caught up with her and she was serving time in Kharkiv Prison, Vladimir Putin publicly defended her several times.

Your example on Ukrainian people standing up against Kremlin during the Revolution enlightened me on another reason why Russia strangely changed the ongoing objectives of the war from Blitzkrieg to a war of attrition. Mr Lude already provided with a reason that China and Russia used the war in Ukraine to boost up their war economy to raise the profits. The most worrying sign that communists are successful as we have Victoria Nuland, the grand architect of Ukrainian Revolution, is being pushed out of the office by the communists. Her replacement is the US Ambassador who were willingly to hand Afghanistan over to the communists!

Now, another reason is exactly in front of us but the press rarely mentioned it. The another, true reason was to completely eradicate the Ukrainian race or genocide. The communists were angry that the old, post-Soviet systems to control Ukraine didn’t work as the people revolted.
In China or Iran, they would immediately put in a massive genocide for an entire clan to put the population in absolute terror. However, the Christendom civilizations were opposed to the methods of extreme brutality against entire population since the Christendom was the first one to globally oppose the historical practices of slavery. Russia used to belong to the Christendom civilizations until the rise of Bolsheviks. Under Putin, Russia gradually reconnected its roots to the Asiatic traits of brutality in the styles of nomadic empires. I personally suspect the shadow leaders of current USSR (Russia) are probably military elites and aristocrats with lineages traced to the Mongols, Tatars and other Asiatic nomads because their brutal methods against opponents are very un-European and un-Christian, un-Western.
Russia is currently using more foreign troops in Ukraine than its own because foreigners are not hesistant to commit full genocides against Ukrainians.
If we want to better understand and oppose the Communist agenda, it is best not to adopt their misleading talking points and terminology. Nuland was not the grand architect of anything in Ukraine, the Maidan revolution was the work of the Ukrainian people who were determined to take their country back from the Kremlin’s agents. Wow! What a post! So many memories from Ukraine flood my mind! From slow waking up to the reality of our situation in 2001 (for me) to the Orange revolution in 2004. I remember the weather, the mood of people, so full of hope. Tymoshenko actually played a big role in informing the masses and mobilizing them for that revolution. But the greediness was always her main motivation. She could never pass any opportunity to make money and would not allow anyone to be above her in using these opportunities. She even went into politics, because she figured it out that it is the only way to protect and magnify your business. Yanukovich imprisoned her after being elected in 2010, Putin had asked him several times to let her go free, but Yanukovich didn’t. So that was kind of independent of him.
When beating up of students took place in 2013, I think that some Kremlin agent nudged Yanukovich by saying something like “Be a man. Do not let them get away with it. Who is the power in this country?” They used this pathetic explanation for beating up students “because they had to clear the square for the New Year firtree”. (In Ukraine like in all USSR firtree was mostly decorated for New Year and not for Christmas). It was so funny later on how the protesters made their own firtree, decorating it with revolutionary posters mocking the idea that a clearing for that tree should have been done with shedding of blood. Because Yulia Tymoshenko was in prison then, her face was also on a poster on that tree. But when she was freed (as a result of this revolution) and started speaking to the masses on the stage, her words fell flat. She was so out of touch with people by then.
When I remember those times and how people felt before every revolution and how the momentum was built up, how every day you changed several times from hope to despair and back. (I participated physically in 2004 revolution activities, but in 2013 my son was 2 and I watched it from home). So when I remember all that, I can’t imagine anything similar happening in USA. Nobody here discusses politics at home. In Ukraine we knew who we were fighting against. We knew even in 2004 that we were fighting against Russian agenda. Here in US people have no idea who is their enemy. If anyone is faintly interested in what is going on, “the informed ones”, they would be repeating Russian narratives that Russia started a war because NATO was building a tension at its border.
When October 7 happened, I said at Church during Sunday school discussion, that guys, it can easily happen here. They said I had PTSD because I came from the war country, so now I see danger everywhere. They think of sports and concerts and boats and weekends and holiday trips to their extended families. Which is good in a way in order to build stronger nervous systems for their kids. But it is just so different. Waking up moment can become very violent and shocking.

If anyone thinks Tymoshenko’s political allegiances are merely financial, I was told that in college she was often seen carrying a little volume of Stalin’s. She married into a Soviet Central Committee family, which is how she became a gas princess in the first place. Wealth is one of the perks of loyalty to the communist structures in the former Soviet Union. Those who sign up for this wealth and fail the test of loyalty are often assassinated or exiled (Berezovsky, Guzinsky, Khordorkovsky, etc). As Tymoshenko did face a spell in jail, her loyalty has not been without risks.
Satisfaction maybe even in a physiological sense. I’ve always wondered whether the two had something more going on than conspiratorial politics.
That is an interesting comment. All I knew is that she was incredibly smart. I guess she was smart not only in amassing wealth but in such careful hiding of her allegiance to communism that it has never ever came up anywhere in Ukrainian press, while there were a lot of exposing articles about her. As to the photo, unfortunately I can’t find online even better ones, where she is with Putin and she looks really elated, her eyes shining, as if she had won the prize of her life. I also had thoughts like Contemplative observer that the two must have had something more going on between them than politics. I also have a book back home in Ukraine about Orange revolution. There is a photo in that book (I also can’t find online) where she is holding hands with Nemtsov. But he was a famous womanizer. Maybe she is just into men as well? Her husband spent an enormous time in jail.
There is this question: How do you spot agents of Moscow? I think there are tells. You also look for the leash, because loyalty is never enough. Moscow Center must have something to hold over important agents. Corruption is a method of control, for example. If an agent fails in his duty you can jail him or her. If they are disloyal, you can eliminate them. What Moscow Center wants is obedience, though many agents think they know a better way; and this can land them into trouble.
Think of it this way: Moscow’s agents have the difficult task of manipulating millions of people. In doing this, they cannot wear Moscow’s colors openly. They must pretend to be local patriots. They must pretend to be liberal or nationalist. They must pretend, pretend, pretend. No one must suspect. In this circumstance, jail itself can be an alibi. Jail can make you into a hero.
Robert Buchar interviewed Vaclav Havel’s bodyguards twenty years ago. They said Havel was approached by the KGB in late 1989. They said, “You are our man. Moscow wants you to take charge of this country.” Havel was supposedly a liberal who spent years in communist jails.
Twenty years ago I spoke at length with a Czech defector who knew Havel in college, and was close with Havel’s wife. He said that Havel’s jail cell had luxury furnishings, caviar and more. Havel was a special prisoner. “He always believed in communism,” said the defector. “He beleived in ‘communism with a human face.’”

Re Havel – if this is true (and I believe you it is), the propaganda/subterfuge runs so deep I’m beginning to think that virtually anyone we’ve heard of is not who we think they are – and that’s actually the whole reason we’ve heard of them in the first place.
That is a partial truth. We must not imagine the communists control everything and everyone. Some go too far. But the communists do influence success and career advancement in many professions. They have turned this into a science, even as they seek to dominate the sciences. It begins with the universities and their importance to job placement. But in the wider world their control can break down. They must rely on false narratives that are broad enough, and vague enough, to distort our frames of reference on key issues. Fighting their false messaging is not easy.
There is a Facebook page in Ukrainian language that I recently found. The author repeats that this Zelensky is bloody clown, that he is a puppet of KGB/FSB. There is another person who is Russian and I can’t remember his name but he says that the people around Zelensky are working for the Kremlin. And, bearing in mind that Zelensky was financed by KGB oligarch Igor Kolomoisky and that he worked in Russia, it is POSSIBLE, I don’t say he is Russian agent, but it is possible that he may be Russian agent. Just look what’s happening in Ukraine. Bakhmut is under Russian control, just like Avdiivka. The first Ukrainian counteroffensive failed which reminds me of the scissors strategy when the real enemy is “cut” (eliminated by the Russians). The whole conflict is strange and may be staged. Two armies are fighting along lines that rarely change despite all the help that Russia receives from China, Iran and North Korea and Ukraine from the Western countries. Two camps, East and West, are not capable enough to change the territorial gains? Come on. Russia loses almost always people from different republics and loses frequently only old equipment. There is a huge Russian game here, I’m sure. Like the scissors strategy of Kremlin.
I think it is unlikely that Zelensky is a Russian agent. Why? If Russia sent agents into the Ukrainian government who sabotaged their military before 2014, they are not going to send in agents to build it up afterwards.
Russia has suffered politically and economically from its military incapacity since 2022 especially. It’s hard to imagine they inflicted this defeat on themselves intentionally. What, after all, have they won by doing so? Russia has lost two years of valuable time. The West is beginning to prepare and Ukraine is not defeated. As for the shabbiness of the Russian military equipment, it is standard Russian practice that the first strategic echelon and the seconed are “cannon fodder.” These echelons always consist of the worst troops and the poorest equipment. Russian strategic thinking is that you do not risk your best men and equipment at the beginning of a war.
The failed 2022 invasion led to compound failures that nobody could have intended. These failures were very dangerous for the Kremlin, and no sensible strategist would flirt with such dangers. Also, China has been hurt by this war as well. Losing battles on the ground, and hundreds of thousands of soldiers, is never a good thing.
As a side note, researcher Boris Chikulay is someone who believes Zelensky is dirty. He worked in Kyiv television where Zelensky worked. But Boris’s judgments are not those of a longtime student of politics. He is, by trade, a behind the camer television guy. A technicican.
We have to be careful in our judgments about individuals. Someone like Tymoshenko, for example, has so many red flags, and has done so many obvious things for Moscow, there is very little doubt who she works for. With Zelensky, we simply cannot find anything indicating he is a traitor to Ukraine. The suggestion is not supportable by facts. Russia’s agents are tasked with weakening Ukraine’s independence, not strengthening it. Again, I point to the known Russian spy, former Ukrainian Defense Minister Lebedev. His record is very clear. An agent of Moscow acts in a way that devastates Ukraine’s strategic position.
Zelensky simply does not fit this description.
As for Zelensky I also think he is just a psychologically immature person easily played by other people, who know his buttons. He never participated in any revolution. He was born in a more pro-soviet Russian speaking part of Ukraine. Now he is wearing a mask of a patriot. When Zelensky came to power he was surrounded by a more progressive team. But after his mysterious visit to Oman in January 2020, where Patrushev’s plane was also seen, he immediately changed his team to a more pro-Russian one.
It’s not true that the first counter-offensive failed. Ukraine regained a lot of territory in 2022 and decisively beat the Russians in Kyiv. The frontlines were very dynamic in 2022. We know very well the reasons why 2023 failed to live up to the same expectations. Ukraine was not getting all the help it could have gotten in 2023, while the Russians had enough time and resources to build formidable defense lines. Russia is getting a lot of equipment from North Korea and Iran, but much of it is of low quality. The new recruits also have much less training than the soldiers they are replacing, the only way Russia’s cannon fodder tactics can succeed is if Ukraine gives up ground because they don’t have enough ammunition to fend them off. As we saw in 2022, Ukraine having a few long-range, precision artillery pieces can be a game changer. It is strange to say that it is not a real war because the frontlines are currently static –something that could easily change if Ukraine is cut off—while there is so much activity going on behind the frontlines. Ukrainian cities are being shelled daily but Russian oil depots and military facilities deep within Russia are also being targeted. This is not a staged border skirmish like there was between the USSR and China in the 60’s, nor a minor war waged chiefly for appearances like in Afghanistan in the 80’s.
This should put to bed the notion that Zelensky is an agent of Russia.

1. I never followed details of Maidan, but I wonder, how did Yanukovych fled to Russia? was on its own deicsion? was on orders from Moskva? I mean that moment was a great opportunity to grab Crimea in Russian control, not another chance after. I guess the answer is the speed in which the so called republics got organized, fast -means Rusia was preparing it in advance, slow means Rusia just reacted to events, but again never got these details.

Yanukovych fled to Russia on his own initiative. He headed for the Russian naval base in Crimea and escaped by sea to Russia. He was supposed to attend a large meeting and his bodyguards could not guarantee his safety.
I do not think Bongino has the bandwidth to understand Ukraine or Russia. He should stick with analyzing domestic affairs.
You have to understand that as a general rule, conservatives resent Ukraine because of the Trump impeachment scandal. The Democrats impeached Trump over allegedly withholding the delivery of promised aid until Ukraine agreed to prosecute Biden’s son. This is the source of the claim that Ukraine is involved in shady political games in the US even though there is no real proof of that. If anything, Ukraine is used as a pawn in the political game between Republicans and Democrats. Contrast that to China and Russia exercising influence over countless politicians in the US (for example Biden who as a senator always voted in favor of the USSR when it came to foreign policy). But this subject matter is taboo and neither the left nor the right will touch it.

It doesn’t make sense to me on why Nuland, who serves Clinton-Obama dynasty, would enable the Ukrainian Revolution to occur. If she was truly communist, then she would not dare to hurt Russia. We all know CIA is long compromised by the communists, so we could consider it as a controlled opposition against communists at this point.
The only way to make sense from all of these is that Russia purposely wants to provoke an Ukranian Revolution, so they can have pretense to invade then genocide all Ukranians. It’s hard to know what a person like Nuland actually thinks. If she was told that Putin is bad, which was the new political look for the Obama Administration in 2014, who was she to argue? And maybe the advice given Ukraine at the time was exactly what the Russians wanted. It is hard to know exactly what kind of person Nuland is, and how she fit in with the rest of the Obama administration. After all, Michael McFaul was a pretty good guy — though I would not agree with him on any social issues, or the environment, he has a pretty good idea of how bad the Kremlin is. I do not think he ever understood the real relationship between Moscow and Hillary, or Moscow and Obama. A broad brush approach regarding Democrats does not always serve our understanding.
Perhaps, indeed, the ethnic Muslims make better soldiers. Or is it, rather, that Putin is afraid of the Russian mothers?

It’s odd how the creator of the game lumps the Russian Revolution of 1917, the Anarchists fighting in Spain in 1936, and the anti-Communist the revolutions in Hungary 1956 and Prague 1968 as all being about the same thing, ie. fighting to create a perfect world (page 10 of the preview). He almost sounds like a Leftie dupe who thinks Communist revolutions are about creating utopia. But he makes a good point in saying that without the militants (ie. the communists) the left would be completely disorganized and ineffectual. Many leftists and progressives already realized that 100+ years ago when they made a devil’s bargain with the Russian communists. It’s an alliance that is still going today, although the more moderate left may finally be beginning to wake up.

Poland is retreating from Ukraine’s supports efforts as soon as the communist Donald Tusk was elected. Slovakia is now openly trying to mend ties with Russian communists, and I expect Tusk would do an u-turn in very near future.

Actually i am in Poland, Wroclaw and today i talked to an ukrainian refugee. He told that a lot of Ukrainians are staying here and that from the beginning of the war, people in Poland opened the doors of their homes for the refugees without any help from the government (and that was impressive). Neverheless now things are changing also in Poland he told me. People are tired of this war, the biggest problem is that nobody can see the end ( I also noticed that there are no longer ukrainian flags here). Another interesting thing that he told me was that yes many russians in Ukraine support Ukraine but and that was very surprising to me, there are also some Ukrainians who would like to return under Russia

In this context, it may be worthwhile looking into the predictions by famous Bavarian clairvoyant Alois Irlmaier (1894 – 1959), who foresaw a kind of surprise-attack scenario, which would only be possible if the Czechs fight with the Russians:
“The people of Bavaria will be sitting in their inns, playing cards, and suddenly foreign soldiers will look in through the window from the outside. Pitch-black, will come in an army column from the East. Everything will happen very fast. It’ll come from the Golden City [meaning, Prague]. On a more general, or longterm, note, Irlmaier also said, and he said this in the 1950s:
“First, there will be wealth as never before. Then, there will be apostasy like never before, followed by unprecedented immorality. Then come huge numbers of foreigners into the land. There will be high inflation. The money is speedily losing its value. Shortly after, there will be revolution. Then, the Russians will attack the West out of the blue.”
Doesn’t this well describe our present situation?
Yikes, those are eerily accurate predictions. It seems right now we are in the transition stage from “huge numbers of foreigners” to “high inflation”. Once the economic disaster really gets going Western countries will not be able to rebuild their militaries even if they wanted to. Probably that’s when Russia will invade out of the blue.
There was also a Franciscan nun in Germany by name of Erna Stieglitz (1894 – 1975) who had visions of the future:

I absolutley agree. Next Monday the FED will end the Funding Programm and this could lead to a big banking crisis (starting from the regional banks, with NYBC). In this point i disagree with Mister Nyquist regarding CB. CB is a comunist tool. it means concentration of power. Let’s see how the FED and the ECB will act to solve the incoming banking crisis. It always surprises me that especially in the US and Europe we have this big problems but not in China & Russia. A surprisingly good rebuttal to Russian UN Ambassador by the thug, grub and a compulsive liar pretending to be a Polish Foreign Minister, Radek Sikorski. He trashed the Russian point by point rehabilitating himself along, at least, partially in my eyes. This piece was pretty widely distributed across the media, even here in Australia so quite a few people had the opportunity to learn almost the whole truth about the Russian aggression.

Discussing a great divorce of America into blue and red nations is outrageously speculative, though famous people are talking about it. I think Lindsay’s analysis is solid. You would be giving half of America to communists who would immediately form a tyranny and a base for conquering the whole. The cities are still “blue,” regardless of region. California could also invite in Chinese troops to help them. If you divide the country in this way, you guarantee civil war and economic isolation of the weakened half. Meanwhile, each side would be encouraged to commit outrages against the other. In fact, it would be necessary to the survival of each to go to war with the other, for the foundation of each state would be based on opposing the ideology of the other. And each state would contain the other’s partisans. Political oppression would be dictated. Once you draw this kind of dividing line you have acknowledged the necessity of war and slaughter. By dividing the Republic, you remove the peaceful process of discussion and adjudication. If we cannot persuade our fellow Americans that socialism is unworkable, dividing ourselves into two countries as a prelude to killing does not win the argument. It merely destroys the whole in short order by ideologizing everyone.

With all respect, you are gravely mistaken if you believe that the political changes of 1989 in Eastern Europe were genuine counter-revolutions. They were very smooth and very clever theatrical play, just as in the Soviet Union. Read and digest Anatoliy Golitsyn! Both of his books, New Lies for Old (1984) and The Perestroika Deception (1995), can be read online for free on archive.org.
For those that need more than Golitsyn’s successful predictions: There is also the evidence on the Velvet Revolution being ordered from Moscow which Robert Buchar gathered an put into his documentary, and Andrei Codrescu’s book, “The Hole in the Flag” which shows that the Romanian Revolution of 1989 was accomplished on orders from Moscow. Then talk to any of the leaders of Fighting Solidarity in Poland. The evidence is there, though our mainstream media will never touch it. Never. And that is frightening.
In New Lies For Old, Golitstn briefly refers to the assassination of Stepan Bandera by KGBman Bogdan Stashinsky. In looking for information sources about the assassination online, I found a book by Serhii Plokhy entitled The Man With the Poison Gun, (which covers the career of defector Stashinsky). I ordered it, and upon looking at the career of the author, and the fact he grew up, was educated and began his career in the Soviet Union; coupled with the fact Golitsyn reveals that all channels to the West are used as disinformation sources and this man had works published in the Soviet Union; I wonder if I have made a wise choice in this source. The problem with prophecies and prophetic visions is that people can’t stop their commentaries concerning them. Many of those commentaries go off the tracks into wild speculations.
For example, no where in the Bible is there a specific time known as the “seven year tribulation”. The only thing I have found is a mistranslation of Daniel 9:26b–27 that refers to the seven year suppression of the Jewish revolt by the Romans which historians place at 66–73 AD. Those who talk about the “seven year tribulation” don’t know Biblical Hebrew language, therefore depend on a mistranslation. Then all the commentaries and expansions based on that teaching.
Biblical prophesy is written from an Israelite perspective. It doesn’t mention other parts of the world except as impacting Israel. Though Russia and Moscow are named in the Ezekiel 38–39 prophesy, the list of allies plus other unnamed allies makes it very likely that the majority if not all of the fighting will be through Russian proxies, not Russian troops directly. The prophesy doesn’t make that clear. So stop the speculations that add to the prophesies.
There are other visions that were given from European and American viewpoints which tell of nuclear attacks and invasions of the U.S. and Europe by communist (Russai and China) forces. I can speculate with the best of speculators what the visions mean, but it’s better to avoid speculation.
Then how many “prophesies” were not telling of the future, rather of intended actions that didn’t take place because of changed circumstances, an example of the prophesy of Jonah concerning Ninevah? Or the plans for World War III starting in 1953, stopped by the death of Stalin, plans given as a prophesy? Or those “prophesies” that are no more than extensions of what people think will happen? Or need to happen to fulfill their understandings? Or how many of the prophesies are given in symbolic language, which may not turn out according to the interpretations of the symbols?
Bottom line, we need to be very careful of prophesies. I prefer solid information, such as these essays by Jeff Nyquist.
One more disturbing question for me is what happens to the thousands of Ukrainian children being stolen from Ukraine to Russia? Some are adopted, but we don’t know what happens to all of them. Can they be used for occultist sacrifices or be sexually abused? Why is this question not discussed more openly in the West? That’s a lot more hostages than Hamas took from Israel.
Some Ukrainian children have escaped Russian reeducation camps. I have seen two of these interviews. These camps can be quite brutal if you resist the indoctrination. There is no testimony indicating Child sacrifice that I’ve heard.
