New Mobilizations and Old Subversives

“In 1940, even during the Hitler-Stalin pact, there was a great hidden Communist power in our schools. As the Committee stated in its final report: ‘The Communists and those under their influence in the Teachers Union comprised nearly one-fourth of all the personnel of the city colleges. Wielding the cohesive power of organizational discipline in an unorganized and highly individual group, their influence in the faculties would be very great. As time went on, through expert political maneuvering, the formation of cliques, agitation and logrolling, their influence would grow cumulatively through the careful jockeying of appointments and promotions. Those departments which already had a large number of Communists would immediately be subject to Communist control. Others might be expected to follow in due time through the ordinary process of attrition. Thus, the municipal colleges would ultimately become completely Bolshevized.’” [Now Wonder We Are Losing, pp. 17-18.]

Robert Morris, 1958

After a century of cultural and political subversion against the West, Moscow appears to be mobilizing for a direct attack on the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that Russia will test NATO soon. Russian strategists are hoping that President Donald Trump will not honor Article 5 of NATO’s founding treaty. It is the article that says an attack on one is an attack on all. We have already heard vague statements from the White House suggesting that President Trump will not defend the Baltic States because they should never have been admitted into NATO. If Trump takes this position at the outset of a war, the NATO alliance could collapse.

Last Monday Russian air traffic to Kaliningrad (a Russian enclave in the middle of NATO territory) increased by 50 percent. It appears to be an airlift of military Personnel. A similar buildup has begun in Belarus. Perhaps the number is as high as 10,000 personnel per day (to Kaliningrad and Belarus). Russia has announced that a military exercise known as Zapad 2025 will take place near NATO’s border in September. Russia has also called up an additional 160,000 troops while Belarus is also mobilizing troops (though it is hard to know if this is really possible). Residents of Moscow have noted an uptick in hate propaganda against Latvians, Estonians, and Lithuanians. Putin’s bodyguard has been reinforced after two failed Russian assassination plots against the President of Ukraine. Last week three road mobile ICBM regiments in central Russia went on alert/patrol. We may be looking at a late-summer confrontation between the United States and Russia. Of course, none of this is happening in isolation. Russia has begun a naval exercise in the Pacific called “July Storm,” involving over 150 naval vessels. We might expect Chinese communist participation, or even North Korean submarines to be involved.

Journalists, political leaders and generals may have missed the strategic context of these military preparations. This strategic context is best described as 100 years of Russian communist subversion against the United States. It is good for us to remember how intensive this subversion was, and how it has continued with help from China.

According to R.M. Whitney, writing in 1924, “The most colossal conspiracy against the United States … was unearthed at Bridgman, Michigan, on August 22, 1922, when the secret convention of the Communist Party of America was raided by the Michigan Constabulary….” What was discovered back then has been entirely forgotten today. The Michigan Constabulary found two barrels “full of documentary proof of the [communist] conspiracy….” The discovery also included the names of prominent people who were giving money to the communist cause. There were instructions from Moscow on methods of underground organization, subversion and infiltration – for the purpose of overthrowing the United States Government. [ii]

The documents recovered by the Michigan Constabulary proved that the Communist Party in the United States was directed by Lenin and Trotsky in Moscow. In those days the Communist Party hid itself behind the Workers Party of America, including many pro-socialist affiliates like the African Blood Brotherhood, the Jewish Socialist Federation and the Workers’ Council of the United States. Eventually, the Workers Party changed its name to the Communist Party, USA. According to Whitney, all legal socialist activity of the Workers Party was then “supported by the illegal branches of the Communist Party.” He added that “the agents of the Communists are working secretly, through ‘legal’ bodies, in labor circles, in society, in professional groups, in the Army and Navy, in Congress, in the schools and colleges of the country, in banks and business concerns, among the farmers, in the motion picture industry – in fact, in nearly every walk of life.”[iii]

The people involved in this conspiracy were not uneducated or stupid. According to Whitney, they were “keen, clever, intelligent, educated men and women.” These included many people with expert qualifications. Their agenda has remained the same for nearly a century. The communist conspiracy uncovered at Bridgman in 1922 included “plans for inciting the Negroes, the farmers, the clerks, the workmen of industry, members of Congress, employees in government departments everywhere, to violence against constituted authorities….”[iv]

The names of those associated with this conspiracy, noted Whitney, ranged from “bricklayers to bishops, and include many prominent official and society people.”[v] Many of these erstwhile supporters did not fully understand what they were supporting at the time; that is to say, the communist conspiracy was so artfully disguised behind “front organizations” that Moscow’s underlying control was not always known. In fact, the communists made “sucker lists” of useful idiot contributors.

According to Whitney, communists thrive on disorder. “Trouble is a rallying cry for them,” he noted. “Their creed is to make capital out of strikes, riots, and every other form of popular unrest.” Yet they are also engaged in many peaceful activities as well. “Their sympathizers attend church meetings for the purpose of presenting arguments to weaken the faith of members of the church. They preach free love, the nationalization of women and children, and openly proclaim that the breaking up of home ties is an advance of civilization.”[vi]

Those who seek to explain the current decline in religious belief, or the breakup of the family, in purely sociological terms, have failed to properly understand the unique contribution made by a secretive political sect which has steadily advanced its revolutionary agenda by corrupting the very fabric of society. This sect became the nucleus of the Deep State when it successfully infiltrated the United States Government. Whitney’s book presents many of the documents discovered in the Bridgman raid. The fact that almost nobody today remembers this raid, or what it uncovered, is testimony to the subsequent success of the new political religion of the Marxists. Here is the true origin of the Deep State.

As defined by the Google Dictionary, The Deep State is a “body of people” involved in the “secret manipulation or control of government policy….” This is exactly what the communists were doing in the 1920s. It is what they continue to do. The denial of this work and the denial of its continuance after 1991 is a central problem which plagues the free world. The evidence for this subversion exists all around us, in libraries, in old newspapers, in memoirs and books. But few historians have bothered to focus on this evidence. Even those who do focus on it suppose that all this subversion stopped when the Soviet Union fell in 1991. As a society we have failed to recognize, identify, and properly confront a longstanding internal enemy. Our institutions, in fact, pretend there is no internal enemy.

In 1934 the communist conspiracy was threatened with exposure by a Gary Indiana school superintendent named William Wirt. During a dinner party in Virginia, near Washington D.C., held on September 1, 1933, a small band of Marxist subversives told Superintendent Wirt that they had infiltrated the government and were taking over the country. As Wirt later explained, their objective was to destroy “the America of Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln” and build a new socialist America “on the ruins.” According to Wirt:

“…. they believed that by thwarting our then-evident [economic] recovery [from the Great Depression] they would be able to prolong the country’s destitution until they had demonstrated to the American people that the Government must operate industry and commerce. I was told … they would be able to destroy, by propaganda, the other institutions that had been making our capital loans. Then we can push Uncle Sam into the position where he must make those capital loans. And, of course, when Uncle Sam becomes our financier he must also follow his money with control and management.” [vii]

These same Marxist subversives explained to Wirt that President Franklin Roosevelt was their “Kerensky.” They told Wirt, “We believe that we have Mr. Roosevelt in the middle of a swift stream and that the current is so strong that he cannot turn back or escape from it. We believe that we can keep Mr. Roosevelt there until we are ready to supplant him with a Stalin.”

When Wirt asked “why the President would not see through this scheme,” they answered: “We are on the inside. We can control the avenues of influence. We can make the President believe that he is making decisions for himself.” These decisions would inevitably damage the country and discredit Roosevelt. “Eventually he can be displaced because of his bad decisions.”

Wirt was naturally skeptical. How would they “explain to the American people why their plans … were not restoring the economy?” They answered, “Oh! That would be easy.” All they had to do was blame their political opponents as “traitors.” In time they would be able to “use the police power of the Government and ‘crack down’ on the opposition with a big stick.”

Wirt Still found this plan unrealistic. But his Marxist dinner companions insisted that he had “underestimated the power of propaganda,” which had become a “science.” Using political weapons fashioned by Big Government, they would intimidate businessmen, accusing them of being “crooks.” They would launch investigations and prosecutions against those who did not fall into line. They would frighten the rich and powerful into obedience. At the same time, they would attempt to seduce the business community with government contracts.

On April 10, 1934, Wirt testified before a House Select Committee of the Seventy-Third Congress, chaired by Alfred L. Bulwinkle – a Democrat who wanted to destroy Wirt’s reputation. Throughout the hearing, Chairman Bulwinkle badgered Wirt, interrupted, browbeat, and prevented him from giving a full statement. In effect, William Wirt was smeared (and his loyalty was questioned) on account of his testimony.

On April 17, 1934, Rep. Harold McGugin (R-Kansas), pointed to evidence in support of Wirt’s testimony. When challenged by Chairman Bulwinkle, Rep. McGugin said that Harry Hopkins (of the Federal Emergency Relief Administration) and Harold Ickes (Secretary of the Interior) were using “Public Works funds for the purpose of buying stock.” Thus, as Wirt had suggested in his testimony, New Deal officials were already setting up unprecedented mechanisms for intervening in the economy. The following exchange then took place between Chairman Bulwinkle and Representative Lehlbach (R-New Jersey):

MR. LEHLBACH. I now move, that Dr. Wirt be permitted to be recalled to the chair and be given opportunity to be questioned by his counsel in order that he may clear his fair name of the charge of disloyalty which has been made against him…. I think Dr. Wirt is entitled to make a statement to clear himself of those charges.

THE CHAIRMAN. The chairman will state to the gentleman from New Jersey that the matter was taken care of yesterday. The first witness will be Miss Barrows.

MR. LEHLBACH. Yes; but I move that Dr. Wirt be given that opportunity.

THE CHAIRMAN. All right; I will put the motion.

The three democrats voted no, the two Republicans voted yes. Wirt was prevented from giving further testimony. Chairman Bulwinkle then called the next witness, Miss Barrows.

MR. LEHLBACH. Then Dr. Wirt is denied simple justice?

THE CHAIRMAN. No; he is not.

MR. McGugin. Mr. Chairman, I now move that Hon. James A. Reed, as counsel for Dr. Wirt, have the privilege of cross-examining any witness upon any question wherein that witness has denied a statement made by Dr. Wirt.

THE CHAIRMAN. The Chair states to the gentleman from Kansas that on last Tuesday, April 10, this question came before the committee, and the committee did not recognize Senator Reed as counsel for Dr. Wirt…. The whole precedent in this House bears out the ruling of the chairman on this question.

Mr. McGUGIN. You cannot cite a single precedent.

Note: Representative O’Connor (D-New York) offered a precedent, which was not a precedent of the House at all, but of the U.S. Senate. Chairman Bulwinkle then plowed forward and Miss Barrows testified thus: That she was Miss Alice Barrows, a resident of Washington, D.C. since 1919 employed in the Office of Education of the Department of the Interior. She confessed that Dr. and Mrs. Wirt were “among my most devoted, sincere, and loyal friends.” She had also worked as Dr. Wirt’s secretary from 1914 to 1917, in New York.

The CHAIRMAN. Will you please state the conversation that you engaged in at the dinner table?

Miss BARROWS. Mr. Chairman, as a dinner, it was not a success, because Dr. Wirt talked practically all the time. I have known Dr. Wirt for 20 years and I think that everyone who knows him knows that he does have a capacity for talking 3 and 4 hours at a time.

The CHAIRMAN. Miss Barrows, if you will pardon me, I asked you a question; what was the conversation at the dinner table?

Miss BARROWS. At the diner table he talked about education. After dinner, at about, I think, 8 o’clock, he began talking on the devaluation of the dollar and talked continuously on that subject until, I should say, about 11 o’clock. I was considerably embarrassed and tried to bring in, for example, Mr. Coyle, but Mr. Coyle refused to say anything.

Miss Barrows did not acknowledge the fact that she was, in those days, a secret member of the Communist Party and a KGB agent codenamed “Young Woman.” Neither did she mention her love affair with Soviet Ambassador Aleksandr Troyanovsky, or with another high-ranking Soviet diplomatic official.[viii] Instead of sticking up for her “most devoted, sincere and loyal friend,” William Wirt, she covered for another dinner guest, Miss Hildegarde Kneeland, who, she said, “made absolutely none of the statements attributed to her by Dr. Wirt, except once I remember that … she objected to his theory that we should go back to conditions of 1926.”

Hildegarde Kneeland was a senior economist at the Agriculture Department, later identified in KGB archives as an “intelligence informant” of the Soviet special services.[ix] In the process of covering for Miss Kneeland, Miss Barrows ran afoul of Rep. Lehlbach (R- New Jersey):

Mr. LEHLBACH. When Dr. Wirt suggested a return to conditions of 1926, he was discussing the present depression, was he not?

Miss BARROWS. Honestly, I do not know what he was discussing. I was so exhausted by that time. I know that he was talking about deflating the dollar.

Mr. LEHLBACH. That is rather amusing, but it is not responsive to the question.

Miss BARROWS. Pardon me, sir.

Mr. LEHLBACH. Of course it is a matter of common knowledge … that the country was in a very prosperous condition in 1926, was it not?

Miss BARROWS. I do not know just what you mean by prosperous condition.

Mr. LEHLBACH. Well, there was no substantial unemployment and wages were as high as they have ever been in the history of the country?

Miss BARROWS. I do not have those facts with me.

Mr. LEHLBACH. Were you living in the United States in 1926?

Miss BARROWS. Yes; I understand that there was unemployment at that time.

Mr. LEHLBACH. Of course, there is always unemployment. There are a lot of people who won’t work. Now, when Miss Kneeland objected to Dr. Wirt’s advocacy of a return to a condition of prosperity, what reason did she allege for her objection?

Miss BARROWS. Miss Kneeland got out exactly one sentence, and that is, she objected to his theory that we should go back to the conditions of 1926, and she was not able to say more….

Mr. LEHLBACH. Then Miss Kneeland objected to a return to prosperity?

Miss BARROWS. I did not say that.

[Note: Only a communist would have opposed a return to the prosperity of 1926.]

Mr. LEHLBACH. When Miss Kneeland objected to a return to a state of prosperity in this country, was there any dissension by anyone except Dr. Wirt?

The CHAIRMAN. The Chair –

Mr. LEHLBACH. I do not admit the right of the Chair to advise me what is pertinent or not pertinent. I am as much a member of this committee as the chairman is, and I propose to ask my questions without censorship by the Chair.

And who were the other dinner guests? Congressman McGugin explored this question as Miss Barrows avoided straightforward answers.

Mr. McGUGIN. In your direct statement, I understand you to say that you invited the guests to this party.

Miss BARROWS. Yes.

Mr. McGUGIN. You invited Laurence Todd?

Miss BARROWS. Yes.

Mr McGUGIN. That is the Laurence Todd who is a correspondent for Communist newspapers, is now and has been for many years; is that right?

Miss BARROWS. No; pardon me. He was at that time the correspondent for the Federated Press. Since that time he has been made correspondent for the Tass Agency.

Mr. McGUGIN. Is not that a Communist agency?

Miss BARROWS. The Tass Agency …  would correspond to our A.P., for the Soviet Government.

Mr. McGUGIN. You are a good enough student of communism and Russian communism to know that such an agency is … financed by the Communist government, are you not?

Miss BARROWS. I do not know anything about it.

Mr. McGUGIN. You invited Robert Bruere?

Miss BARROWS. I did.

Mr. McGUGIN. This is the same Robert Bruere who, in 1918, was a defender of the I.W.W.’s [a Marxist labor union] and a severe critic of the Department of Justice under the Wilson administration for his conduct pertaining to the I.W.W.’s; is that right?

Miss BARROWS. I simply do not know. I am sorry. I did not have all the past history of my guests. I really do not know.

Mr. McGUGIN. Would you have invited him if you knew that he had been a defender of the I.W.W.’s and a severe critic of the Department of Justice in the Wilson Administration, which Department of Justice was trying to defend this country during the war from the I.W.W. enemies at home?

Miss BARROWS. I would invite Mr. Robert Bruere to any party of mine.

Mr. McGUGIN. Even if you knew that that was his record. Mary Taylor – you invited her, did you?

Miss BARROWS. She is in the triple A of the Department of Agriculture, editing some bulletin there.

Mr. McGUGIN. Who is her immediately supervisor, do you know?

Miss BARROWS. I think it is Dr. Frederick C. Howe.

Mr. McGUGIN. That is the same Frederick C. Howe who was commissioner of immigration at Ellis Island during the Wilson administration, is it not?

Miss BARROWS. I believe he was; yes.

Mr. McGUGIN. That is the same one who was forced to resign because he defended anarchists instead of deporting them, as was his duty?

Miss BARROWS. I never heard of that.

Representative McGUGIN named several subversives on Miss Borrows’s guest list, but she pled ignorance again and again. It seems that Barrows was no friend of Wirt. Instead, she was the Soviet Ambassador’s American lover (which is something that was learned later). Whatever she pretended, she knew that 1926 was a prosperous year. She knew that TASS was a communist “news” agency. Despite these many evasions and lies, the committee hearing was concluded in favor of the communist side.

According to the final “REPORT” on the “INVESTIGATION OF CERTAIN STATEMENTS MADE BY ONE DR. WILLIAM A. WIRT …. The committee decided” that Dr. Wirt’s statements “were not true, and that the five persons in the employ of the United States Government and the newspaper correspondent [Tass], who were present at the dinner in Virginia on September 1, 1933, did not make any such statements as were alleged to have been made by them to Dr. Wirt.”

At the sixth anniversary of Wirt’s testimony, on April 10, 1940, one of the three Democratic congressmen recanted and confessed his part in the injustice. Former Representative O’Connor (D-New York) said he was sorry for “turning the thumbscrews” on Wirt. According to O’Connor six of the witnesses at the Wirt hearing “met and rehearsed their denials of what they had told Dr. Wirt” beforehand. In essence, Wirt had told the truth and O’Connor was sorry for his part in discrediting a good man. [x]

Journalist Diana West discovered O’Connor’s confession in an obscure New York newspaper. Having begun her book, American Betrayal, with Wirt’s story, she could not have known that a campaign would also be waged to discredit her. This is because any and every witness against communism – whether a school superintendent or a journalist – inevitably becomes a target of the communists. After the publication of American Betrayal, West was attacked for spinning “a vast conspiracy theory without the evidence to back it up.”[xi]

To understand the history of the Deep State, we must first acknowledge the means by which this history has been suppressed. Here are the essential methods of communist subversion. Once we understand these methods, and grasp their inner workings, we can advance an important truth; namely, communists long ago infiltrated the government, and they will attempt to destroy anyone who threatens to expose the extent of their influence.

Very short update on a new Ukrainian Maidan. The reason for this Maidan is the same as the Revolution of Dignity: to stop corruption at the top level of the country and to stop the departure from democratic values. Ukrainians were holding back out of fear that it would destroy the country from the inside. But this time, the cup of patience has overflowed.
You might have heard of the protests in major Ukrainian cities against Yermak and Zelenskiy (some slogans included the name of Yulia Tymoshenko). They started after the Verkhovna Rada (the Ukrainian parliament) voted in favor of a law under which the independent anti-corruption institutions would have to become subservient to the General Prosecutor.
Independent anti-corruption institutions NABU (National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine) and SAP (Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office) were established after the Revolution of Dignity to help fight corruption. They were meant to function under foreign supervision to help prevent local authorities from corrupting them for the benefit of the corruptors.
The parliament and Zelenskiy explain the voting and signing of this law by the need to diminish the influence of Russian agents in these institutions. Which is laughable, because Russian agents are everywhere in Ukraine, including at the top levels, and nobody is trying to fight those.
But this is how the real story developed. President Zelenskiy had regular meetings at the apartment of Timur Mindich, who is a co-owner of Zelenskiy’s entertainment firm “95 Kvartal.” These meetings were attended by Yermak and many other people close to the president. Above Timur Mindich’s apartment is an apartment owned by Boholiubov, who collaborated with investigators and helped install a listening device to record many conversations about all kinds of corruption schemes involving the appropriation of foreign aid streams to Ukraine.
As opposed to common knowledge about corruption at the top levels, which was circulating among individual witnesses of such incidents, now investigators had irrefutable evidence, confirmed by real-life implementations of the plans discussed in a (they thought) secret meeting place.
This led to Zelenskiy trying to act quickly to cover up the evidence. Usually, laws take time to write. Then there is time for discussion and debating pros and cons. This time, the law was concocted one day and voted on the next day. (Actually, it was made part of another law planned to be voted on that day.) In the evening, the president signed it, which is also unusual. There are laws that he would not sign for days, weeks, or even months. This rush was also a sign of his desire to cover up his guilt—especially one sentence in that law, stating that “a notice of suspicion to the president or his deputies can be filed only by the Chief Prosecutor.” The purpose of this law was to stop NABU from opening cases against the president and his close associates. They could always trust General Prosecutor to cover up their misdeeds.
This was the last drop that caused indignation, especially in the younger generation, who were 10–15 during the Revolution of Dignity. Last time the older generation came out to protect the younger ones. Now children, whose parents fight on the front line, came out.
And the West also started to speak out about things they knew all along but did not want to rock the boat—until it became strikingly clear that the only person rocking the boat dangerously is the president himself. The title of the British paper “The Telegraph” states it openly: “For Ukraine’s sake, Zelensky must now step aside: The inspirational leader is no longer part of the solution to ending the conflict with Russia. He is now part of the problem.”
Under the threat of cutting off foreign help, Zelenskiy made some steps back, but I do not think that this is over.

    1. I am not sure I buy this reasoning. Putin has been trying to assassinate Zelenskyy. Some of this is a matter of interpretation, and the interpretation is not easy. Analysis is not easy.

I am not sure, whose reasoning you have in mind, that you are not sure of. Zelenskiy’s, people’s who came on the streets, NABU’s or foreign media? Putin would be happy to kill someone, who united the nation at the beginning of war, hoping that there would be none to serve that purpose. Kill the leader and people will scatter. But it is not a proof of Zelenskiy being clean on all fronts. I have my own opinion of his character. I was watching him since 1998. He is weak. But a good actor to make people believe, what he wants them to believe about him.

Dear Valentina, perhaps you are right in your assessment of Zelensky. As someone who has his best, most productive and most creative years wasted while living under the boot and whip of a communo-fascist regime in Poland, I have an immediate and natural suspicion towards any attempt by the government to grab more power even for, seemingly, noblest reason.
However, we have to be cautious in presenting him in bad light thus benefitting Ukraine’s and his own enemies.
This anti-corruption piece of legislation was not imposed, after all, by his Presidential decree but was submitted to Ukraine’s parliament, hardly a dictatorial move, where it was passed by an overwhelming majority and, subsequently signed by him.
Immediately, after it raised the mass protests, he invited the members of those independent, at least in theory, bodies for a friendly exchange of views. That meeting ended up with Zelenski backing down and promising to modify his original proposal.
There was no attempt to quell the protests, no violence, no arrests.
In that case, we can say that it was an almost perfect illustration of a real democracy at work.
In such light, an attack on Zelenski by, for example, the rabid isolationist Marjorie Taylor-Green was not only exceptionally vulgar but, above all, baseless.
So were other calls towards Zelenski to resign flowing from other countries, including the, so called, “European Community”.
It also proves that the state of the, so called, “democracy” in Ukraine is much, much better than in any other “democratic” country within “Western civilization”, and that includes, unfortunately, my own Poland.
It is also worthy to recall that within the pre communist regime of Chiang Kai-Shek in China corruption was much, much worse than in Ukraine, which Chiang himself was trying to combat. This corruption was used as a pretext by the American “democrats” to cut China off American military assistance. That act of treason enabled Mao to take over China and resulted in some seventy million innocent Chinese people murdered and the lives of one billion people destroyed by enslaving them.
The perspective of losing Ukraine to neo-Bolshevik Russia is too horrendous not only for Ukraine but for the entire “free world” to be swayed by the Ukrainian “mess”. The so called “West” should help him to cope with it and not to damage him further.
          Regards – Bogdan

          1. I agree with your assessment, Bogdan. You have put the facts in their proper context.

          2. I thought this was a balanced take on the anti-corruption protests in Ukraine (first 20 minutes). Fink brought up some interesting points.
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gbmNdIbA5k
            Silicon Curtain – 7/22/25

The gist is that Zelensky’s government has been making modest progress with getting the Trump Admin to reconsider its stance on Ukraine. But the proposed law was a gift to Ukraine’s detractors who paint the country as thoroughly corrupt. So why would the Zelensky government make such a misstep at this time? And why is Zelensky being blamed for signing into law a bill that parliament voted for by a large majority? His argument that the anti-corruption agencies are riddled with FSB agents is seen by many as an excuse for a power grab. However at least one member of NABU was arrested for passing intel to the FSB. Fink notes that the reaction of some anti-corruption advocates and the international media is very hyperbolic, almost too quick to denounce Zelensky as the new Yanukovich. This level of hyperbole and its potential impact on international support for Ukraine should be concerning.

In this 2nd interview, Fink is pushing back a bit against the anti-corruption activists. He brings up an issue that’s not being adequately addressed. Considering how many anti-communist groups were infiltrated in the past, why couldn’t Russia do the same thing to anti-corruption groups? The problem of Russian infiltration and subversion in the West has never really been acknowledged, much less ever countered effectively. Even if Zelensky and some of his people are corrupt, ousting him at this time would be the equivalent of winning the battle but losing the war.

The whole thing reminds me of the reaction to the canceled Romanian presidential election. Everyone from the mainstream to the pro-Ukraine/anti-Russia crowd saw it as an example of authoritarian overreach, and the root cause –ie. foreign interference in the democratic process—was either not acknowledged or dismissed as an excuse for a power grab. It was disappointing to see so many Polish patriots blindly repeat Russian anti-EU narratives in this instance. At the end of the day, none of the many problems in the West will ever be resolved without first addressing the root cause of communist active measures.

          3. I also have grave reservations when it comes to calling Zelenskyy corrupt. He risks his life to lead the country. Surely, if money were the thing — or power — he would have behaved very differently than he has.

In this context, what do you think about the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas (* 1977)? She is Estonian. Already her father, Sim Kallas (* 1948), was part of the European Commission from 2010 till 2014 as Transport Commissioner. Kallas the father had been part and parcel of the old Soviet elite in the Estonian SSR, before he miraculously transformed during the perestroika period into a Western-style financial expert and democrat. Also, both father and daughter were at some point Prime Ministers of post-Soviet Estonia (which looks like the usual communist-style family business to me).

So are others like, for example Ursula von Der Leyen, the EU President herself. In that light, hardly any of them has any moral quality to criticize Zelensky and call for his resignation.

Her response to the February 28 scandal against Zelenskyy at the White House came within hours and quite boldly announced that it had become clear that the free world needed a new leader and that it was up to the European Union to take on that responsibility. – That’s all. I merely found that statement a bit too quick and a bit too categorical (even though essentially she was right), as if she was happy to see a split between Brussels and Washington.

Hmm, you are right about the hereditary apparatchik/commissar family. But the thing that kind of made me suspicious of her is that fact AND that she got held up as the greatest thing since sliced bread by a lot of the usual suspects in the media. I’ve just always been that way for decades about people now: I did it with Obama, I did it with Merkel, and even Trump to a large degree. In this day and age, when an individual gets held up as the Second Coming by any large number of people, I become VERY suspicious and immediately so.

And what exactly would this new “leader of the free world” be as Kallas envisions it? Gorbachev’s “Common European Home,” perhaps?

          4. The Contemplative Observer Avatar
            The Contemplative Observer

Of course she has their “Common European Home from the Atlantic to Vladivostok” in mind! What else? Her meeting with the Chinese Foreign Minister earlier this month was telling too. There was no restraint or sense of repugnance or disapproval visible on her face or audible in her statements at all. She “functioned” well as a smooth and willing comrade. And by her very good looks she is even better than Angela Merkel could have ever been (although the young A. Merkel, around the time of the German reunification, when she was 36, was fairly pretty too). And have you noticed that Kaja Kallas hardly wears any jewelry? Which would be perfectly in line with the communist “dresscode” of proletarian miserableness.

And then we have the President of the Commission – another woman, and supposedly of old West-German conservative stock, Ursula von der Leyen. She effortlessly survived in all of Angela Merkel’s four cabinets for altogether 16 years! There were voices, especially at the beginning of Merkel’s first term from 2005 till 2009, who criticised that there was no conservative turn whatsoever taking place under Merkel, compared to the previous 7 years of radical leftwing politics of the Red-Green coalition under Schröder/Fischer. Of course, those critical voices were being swiftly and mercilessly crushed – including one churchman, who dared the unthinkable by pointing out that the unchangedly socialist family policies under then Family Minister von der Leyen were reducing women to being “birthing machines” (he was criticising von der Leyen’s resolute and one-sided support for extending daycare facilities for pre-schoolers). That one word was enough for him to get totally destroyed and ostracised in Germany and, after his own church had abandoned him as well, he was quickly forgotten – sent down the proverbial Orwellian memory hole …

As for the new conservative German Chancellor, Friedrich Merz, he hasn’t got too many options really. His own party, the CDU, is no longer the conservative party it once was before Merkel took over in the year 2000. He also depends on his coalition partner, the Social Democrats. So all he can do is crown his personal career with having been Chancellor, which he should have become some 15 years ago, in succession of Wolfgang Schäuble (who never was Chancellor, but should have been). But the CDU*s 1999 party donation scandal shook up the party’s leadership so badly that also the then-new chairman W. Schäuble was forced to step down, which famously paved the way for Angela Merkel, who very actively took part in the overall attack against the party, still in December 1999, by writing a bold and aggressive guest article in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, in which she took on the entire “old guard”. It was a real palace revolution. The rest is history …

          5. It’s funny how conservatism has been shorn of its substance by a process.

This first (major) step of European eastward enlargement took effect on May 1, 2004 – in other words on International Workers’ Day. Of course, that peculiar detail wasn’t commented upon or explained by the media, even though it was fairly in-your-face.

Apart from a host of other festivities that night, there was also a meeting, along with big fireworks, between the Foreign Ministers of Germany and Poland, Joschka Fischer (of the far-left “Greens”) and Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz, right on the border bridge between Frankfurt/Oder and Słubice. Jeff you recently did a Freinds and Enemies talk with Candor Intellegence with Alex Benesch. Talking about Jeffery Epstein and his girlfriend Ghaislaine Maxwell. Her father Robert Maxwell had alleged connections to Soviet era Intell agencies.

Years ago you mentioned in a podcast that you heard from a defector or his son or grandson that under Brezhnev or Andropov that the Russian Intell Services contemplated an idea to engage in an operation involving child prosstitition to bait and exploit Western targets.

From memory, some in the leadership of the Party, including Brezhnev and or Andrprov rejected the idea, saying that the plan, if discovered and traced back to KGB would irreconcilably damage the Communist movement. And so the plan was canceled. Can you remember that and comment on it?

    1. To clarify your recollection, A former Soviet citizen related to a Central Committee official told me that Andropov was working to establishing pedophile networks in the 1970s. Andropov was then head of the KGB. The witnesses grandfather stood up against Andropov in the Central Committee and died under suspicious circumstances as a result.

Why would leadership (top down) of any and all departments of U.S. government believe anything the Russian “government” puts out? Same applies to the Chinese?

Again, I’ll answer my own questions here. Because our own leadership and many underlings below are profiting from corrupt practices unbeknownst to the American public. Folks want to constantly point to corruption within the Ukrainian government? Pfffft…our own U.S. government bypasses any other in terms of corruption. But, in America, we have 2 political parties who use their power to schmooze the media to sway public opinion whichever direction they (together) choose.
C’mon, I saw firsthand years ago how our judicial system works. The common man appears in a local court for any number of reasons dependent on 2 lawyers. They both create a sense of drama in whatever case and the judge (himself a product of being a young and hungry attorney) being referee…there is no justice. No men of integrity in our country today. These asshats study case law. No real study of what our Founders meant regarding the Constitution or rights of its citizens. But….But….our enemies? Russia? Judith, Reg, Francis and Stan of the People’s Front of Judea are attending a “children’s matinee” at the “Colosseum of Jerusalem”, immersed in heavy political discussion …

Judith: I do feel, Reg, that any anti-imperialist group like ours must reflect such a divergence of interest within its power base.

        Reg: Oh, great. Francis?

Francis: Yeah. I think Judith’s point of view is very valid, Reg, provided the movement never forgets that it is the unalienable right of every man –

        Stan: – or woman!

Francis: – or woman – to rid himself –

        Stan: – or herself!

        Francis: – or herself –

        Reg: – agreed.

        Francis: Thank you, brother –

        Stan: – or sister!

Francis: – or sister. — Where was I?

        Reg: I think you finished.

        Francis: Oh, right.

Reg: Furthermore it is the birthright of every man –

        Stan: – or woman!

Reg: Why don’t you shut up about women, Stan? You’re putting us off!

Stan: Women have a perfect right to play a part in our movement, Reg!

Francis: Why are you always on about women, Stan?

Stan: I want to be one.

        Reg: What?

Stan: I want to be a woman. From now on, I want you all to call me “Loretta”.

        Reg: What?

Stan: It’s my right as a man.

Judith: Well, why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?

Stan: I want to have babies.

Reg: You want to have babies?

Stan: It’s every man’s right to have babies if he wants them.

Reg: But you can’t have babies!

        Stan: Don’t you oppress me!

Reg: I’m not oppressing you, Stan. You haven’t got a womb! Where is the fetus gonna gestate? You’re gonna keep it in a box?

Judith: Here, I’ve got an idea. Suppose you agree that he can’t actually have babies, not having a womb, which is nobody’s fault, not even the Romans’, but that he can have the right to have babies?

Francis: Good idea, Judith. We shall fight the oppressors for your right to have babies, brother – sister, sorry.

        Reg: What’s the point?

        Francis: What?

Reg: What’s the point of fighting for his right to have babies when he can’t have babies?

Francis: It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.

Reg: Symbolic of his struggle against reality.

Dear Jeff and Friends, despite pondering with an anxiety and even with horror the possibility of Putin attacking the Eastern Europe and ultimately NATO itself I don’t think that Russia is in a strong position to consider such a move right now.
Russia and, eventually, Belarus would have to face two hundred thousand men strong, and growing, relatively well equipped and well-trained Polish army. Then, there are approximately fifty thousand equally prepared and motivated troops in the Baltics. On top of this, there are forty thousand multinational troops located in Baltics, including ten thousand Americans in Poland. That means that practically three hundred thousand NATO troops would resist the prospective Russian invasion. Apart from those presented above numbers, Finland could at any moment mobilize app. eight hundred thousand reservists as there is a compulsory military service for all men in Finland. So could, at least in theory Sweden as this country is now preparing to increase defense expenditure to five percent of her GDP in order to rearm as quickly as possible. Considering, already proven, superiority of the Western weaponry over the Russian ones is hard to believe that Putin would dare at this stage to make any move against NATO.
Unless he would make this as desperate as mad decision to attack the Eastern Europe with the nuclear weapons, which he is certainly taking into consideration.
However, he still cannot be sure that Lukashenka will allow him to launch an invasion from Belarus. Almost all Belarusians are furiously opposing any involvement in Putin’s mad adventures as they know too well how much their own country would be destroyed and how much suffering it would bring on them. Lukashenka is very well aware of that anti-war sentiment and how much fury it would generate within Belarusian population.
Pavel Latushka, former Belarusian Ambassador to Poland spoke extensively few months ago about mood prevailing among his compatriots.
The real fear of Belarusians’ reaction to Lukashenka’s eventual participation in a war was the main factor that prevented the Belarussian despot from participating in Russian invasion of Ukraine. It is hard to imagine that without Lukashenka’s permission to use his country as a launching pad, an invasion of the Eastern Europe would be possible.
The current commander of European branch of NATO, gen. Alexus Grynkevich spoke few days ago that the NATO is fully prepared to take and neutralize the Russian enclave, Kaliningrad within virtually few hours in the case of Russian staring any hostilities.
We hope that Putin will think ten times before he dares to start any new insanity.
    Regards – Bogdan

    1. I think that Putin’s moves are made with a certain political mishap built-in. Will Trump back away from NATO when nuclear war is seriously threatened? And this begs the question of bluffing and serious threatening. Russia has bluffed too many times. Will this be any different? I think it could be different, but it’s not easy to see how this would work. Russia has no other way forward. Yet Putin is a dismal mediocrity surrounded by lackeys. Is this not a blueprint for disaster in itself?

    2. Bogdan: you seem to think that Putin is sane. But I see him as a psychopath, which is already insanity. In his insanity, would he be willing to use his tactical nukes to pave the way for his troops to advance towards the Atlantic? I think yes.

The question is not so much if but when? If he waits until next summer, NATO will already be stronger. NATO’s weapons are on a per unit more effective than Putin’s. NATO is ramping up production of weapons. At the same time I’m hearing reports that Russian arms producers are running out of money to buy raw materials, so are being forced to shut down. In other words, can he wait as long as until next summer? Can the relative balance of power be more in Putin’s favor than this year?

      1. bogdanjodkowski Avatar
        bogdanjodkowski

Dear R.O., as you have probably noticed, I mentioned the increasing combat readiness of NATO and the superiority of the Western weapons over the Russian ones in my post. I agree also with you that Putin is a psychopath that is getting madder with every passing day. In that case, he resembles Hitler in his last days when he completely gave up and decided that Germany and the Germans were no longer worthy to exist and should perish. This madness could drive Putin and his equally insane cohort to do something unimaginable which means launching the nuclear war.
However, I believe that there is another factor, more rational, that drives his determination to continue the aggression of Ukraine and even to launch a war against NATO.
This factor has gone off our radar for a while, but it represents a menace almost as terrifying as the nuclear war itself. The increasing possibility of a severe global cooling that will be caused by the incoming Grand Solar Minimum, the subject that was extensively analyzed on Mr. Nyquist’s blog and in conversations with Prof. Zharkova, David DuByne and Bill Wheellbarger, (if I remember the name of this last gentleman well.
If that threat materializes, the entire Europe, both Western and Eastern, will be virtually begging Putin to resume supplies of energy material from Russia. The prices of oil and gas will raise dramatically, and Putin’s coffer will be again full of money.
Mr. Nyquist has mentioned in the past that the Russians and Chinese have held a big conference in 2018 about the incoming GSM so Putin, certainly, knows very well that the disaster of global cooling is behind the corner.
He calculates that if he manages to survive the next two three years, this potential disaster will make him a big if not a complete winner and the so called “West” an equally complete loser.
Unfortunately, the Western ignorant HOMO CONSUMUS DEGENERATUS is totally unprepared for this terrible time.
        regards – Bogdan

        1. Bogdan: I remember that about Hitler. We can already see effects of the GSM in our local weather–unexpected heat waves and wild storms with hail and flash floods.

After Jeff’s last essay, I asked if Putin and Xi are cornered rats. What corners them are the economic collapses in their countries. The financial collapse within Russia has been reported to run out by this winter. During World War II Russia survived thanks to American trucks, American planes, and other American supplies. Today they don’t have that lifeline. China’s collapse is that their economy was built on exports. But they produced more than the world could consume, and at such poor quality that many rejected what came. The first cracks in the Chinese economy came years ago, followed by the disastrous Covid response, given a coup de grace by Trump’s tariffs. Their economy is going down like one of their tofu-dreg buildings. In both countries, can they survive until next summer without a civil war?

Yes, the GSM is coming. Will its economic effects come in time to save Russia?

        2. Bogdan: You have mention what is constantly at the back of my mind; namely, the timing of the Russian and Chinese war preparations. The pandemic was unleashed in 2019, a year after the Russian and Chinese conference on the Grand Solar Minimum. They know it is coming. We are deluded. Worse yet, independent voices in the West are censored for talking about our gradually cooling weather. Informational and intellectual restraints have been placed on us. Why? Strategy dictates an active measure. Look who promotes it. The usual suspects. Al Gore, who was Armand Hammer’s boy. The Democratic Party, taken over by communists. In the next five years we will be caught flat footed. They are preparing.

      2. I was told by the NORAD generals last year that Russia and China’s relative strength will be increasing over ours for the next three or four years. They are mobilizing now. The West is rebuilding defunct industries before mobilization is possible.

Never mind that Europe is already massively supporting the US dollar through existing trade with the US. But the real catch is that a lot of the weapons that Europe needs won’t be delivered fast enough and in sufficient quantities to deter Russia. But the tariffs will presumably go into effect before any weapons deliveries. In that respect the EU deal is a bit like the Ukraine minerals deal – Ukraine signed it alright, but got next to nothing in return.

We’re at the point where just giving a few more weapons to Ukraine is not enough, the West has to use its economic might to cripple Russia with sanctions just to level the playing field. Anything short of that is just inching toward the point of no return. All that Trump has done so far is dither and delay to get us closer to that moment where he can just say “It’s too late, we can’t go to war with Russia over Ukraine/the Baltics/Poland. Ukraine/Europe had years to try to defeat Russia and they couldn’t do it. Now we need to make peace.” No doubt, pro-Russia elements of the right and left in Europe and America will be happy to fall in line with this new reality. At the end of the day it’s Trump who’s really providing the cover and impetus for the surrender to Russia, by tacitly putting into doubt US military protection over Europe. By comparison, the left’s lukewarm anti-Russia stance is hardly moving the needle.

Special envoy Kellog’s assessment of sanctions against Russia being at a 3 out of 10 like 4 or 5 months ago, with no serious strengthening since then. 3 years in at still not even 5 or 6 of 10.

            Frustrating, isn’t it?

          4. Trump merely delays, and even loosens sanctions. Next year Ukraine could collapse. I

If that happens, we are in for another Ukrainian Holocaust. Let’s hope and pray – certainly for the world at large, but of course particularly for Ukraine herself – that they can continue to fend off the Russian attacks.

          6. I pray they keeping their freedom. The West has dithered.

        2. This is exactly right, Laura. Sanctions are the only thing that might forestall and cripple the enemy’s buildup. But this card will not be played in full.

      2. The leadership vacuum comes from the low standards of a society that can no longer recognize quality. I do not know how we get around this problem in the near term. Apparently Calamity must be our teacher.

… turning, God forbid, the Statue of Liberty into a “statue of calamity” …

          1. Just as Ancient Greece turned into a calamity, and the Italian Renaissance turned sour, we appear to be tracking toward an even greater fiasco.

The more one reads your writings (and as your German translator I’ve done a lot) and the more one looks around, the more one feels indeed that we are witnessing the early (or not so early) stages of our world coming to naught, being erased, nullified, trampled underfoot, dissolved, made “obsolete”. And hardly anyone out there realises what’s going on – that’s the real absurdity, on top of it! (In other words, two thousand years of Christian civilisation are being “memory-holed” just like that – and those communist wolves in saintly sheep’s clothing in Rome are in on it, totally.)

          3. I sometimes thing of maggots cleaning a corpse. It’s a horrifying image, which modern people rarely see.

          5. Teacher: Leave those kids alone!

          6. “two thousand years of Christian civilisation are being “memory-holed” just like that” Do we not reap what we sow? Have we in the West not committed suicide against the Christian civilization? Did we not have a march through the institutions tearing down the “Christian civilization”, starting with the intelligentsia two to three centuries ago, now even in kindergarten today? How had the “Enlightenment” not in truth been a creeping darkening of minds destroying “Christian civilization”?

“Christian civilization” ultimately was built on the Bible. But today I see such an intellectual poverty that almost no one has studied the Bible. Not even pastors nor professors in seminaries. I mean really studied it in its original languages in order to get an accurate understanding of its teachings. How many professors at universities teaching “Biblical Hebrew” have read the Old Testament completely through even once? Let alone the ten to twenty times they need to do in order really understand it? The answer I hear is “none”, How is that not one example of the anti-intellectualism sweeping the West? With us so intellectually emasculated, is it any surprise that our societies don’t recognize the danger we face?

So many of the laity follow hucksters who spout teachings not found in the Bible, but sound so sexy and exciting. In Europe, Christianity is effectively dead. In the U.S. it hangs on by a thread. Is this not a recipe that we will go through some very hard times to learn what we should have known?

I totally agree. We’ve already been living, in fact, in a post-Christian world for quite some time. And the overall numbness, ignorance and robotic group-think of most people is frightening. We may well deserve, collectively, what’s coming.

          8. And starring Tulsi Gabbard as…Calamity Jane.

But that’s merely her public image, by which she has been able to bewitch the conservative camp. – In fact, I cannot understand how people do not see through her “toughness” and “militancy” as being plain-Soviet instead of being American. Can’t they SEE her arrogant and ever-threatening eyes?

She privately worships Krishna; she strategically serves Lenin. So I would call her rather a case of “Hanoi Jane 2.0”, equipped with the benefit of a top government position …

          10. 💯, CO.

I just meant, she’s the one really helping bring the calamity, it seems.

          11. At this point in the game.

Arrogant, threatening, non-compromising. The eyes of a merciless victor, who herself appears to be untouchable – like all those communist infiltrators back in the 1930s.

          14. Sometimes, I mute her and just watch her eyes and brow and facial expressions.

She is an enemy to people like us. A very cold-blooded one.

          15. All the greater the calamity as she is sober.

    2. Great report, Laura. Thank you for your analysis.

A Long, LONG Time Ago in a Place Far, FAR Away from Ukraine: Cassius Clay refused to Serve his Nation at War.
    https://sowingtheseed.org/introduction-to-new-testament/a-long-time-ago-in-a-land-far-far-away/
My friends, let us consider What Might Have Been. Had Cassius Clay Chose a Diffrent Road and agreed to Fight for his Country.
“I shall be telling this with a sigh
    Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
    https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/44272/the-road-not-taken
This is What Might Have Been If Cassius Clay had Embarked on the Road Not Taken:
He would have clinched jaw-dropping ring victories for his country AND Honorably Cemented his status as PREEMINENT National Hero. Cassius Clay could have demanded from Ringside the release of American Prisoners of War. He failed to do so. Clay if he had Chosen the Road Not Taken would have Made It Plain that He Was Not Boxing for the Belt; He WAS boxing for everyone who was defending the USA! Cassius Clay could have been known as the FIST of the USA …Showing the Communist World with Every punch he throws, that WE are still standing, and the USA IS NOT Backing Down.
Cassius Clay CHOSE the WRONG ROAD and FAILED His Country at WAR with the Communists.
NOW, Today Ukraine has a CHAMPION who Lifts UP the MORALE and LIFTS UP the FIGHTING SPIRIT of Ukrainian Fighting Men. THAT CHAMPION HAS the Fortitude, the Discipline, the SELFLESSNESS and the MORALITY to DO For Ukraine WHAT Cassius Clay so miserably FAILED to DO for the USA.That
CHAMPION is OLEKSANDR USYK!!! 3 CHEERS for OLEKSANDR USYK!!! HIP!, HIP!, HOORAY!!!
    OORAH!!! OORAH!!!

    1. I remember reading in a magazine about how Clay (who changed his name to Mohammed Ali) was overjoyed at his draft deferment. A fighter who would not fight for his country. I was just a kid, but I was puzzled. Why did he do this?

Clay became a racist minister of the Nation of Islam as led by Elijah Muhammad. He believed that a black Mad Scientist named Doctor Yacub created white people as LYING DEVILS. The Nation of Islam did not support having its members serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. Muhammad Ali did not want to figh for a Nation of White Devils.
Cassius Clay (later Muhammad Ali) was initially classified by his draft board as 1-Y (ineligible) in 1964 due to unsatisfactory scores on a mental acuity test, this was not a deferment but a temporary classification based on the military’s eligibility standards at the time.
When the military lowered its draft standards in 1966, he was reclassified as 1-A, making him eligible for the draft.
He then filed for conscientious objector status based on his religious beliefs, but all his appeals were rejected.
He refused induction on April 28, 1967, leading to his conviction for draft evasion.
        Yakub
Yakub is the name of the evil Black scientist who, according to the Nation of Islam, allegedly created the white race thousands of years ago through a “grafting” process. In his influential 1965 book, “The Message to the Blackman in America,” NOI leader Elijah Muhammad explained that Yakub was “born to make trouble, break peace, kill and destroy his own people with a made enemy to the black nation.” Reiterating the NOI”s belief in the existence of Yakub during a 2020 speech, NOI leader Louis Farrakhan commented that “when the white man was made, his father was a liar, his father was a murderer, so they are born with lie and murder in their nature.” Strangely enough Farrakhan’s description of the Black Doctor Yacub (asserted to be the Father and Creator of the Lying White Man) sounds a lot like the Christian biblical description of Satan the supreme Liar, the Devil.

  12. I have a bad feeling that narratives the Communists have been manipulating and guiding are about to be completely cemented in the minds of many Americans.

I think Gabbard has been working (under instructions and guidance from, ultimately, Moscow) to create an elaborate, mind-blowing story regarding Epstein, Obama, a “coup against Trump, etc that is potentially going to sacrifice a few useful idiots or true believers on the Left (maybe Comey, Brennan, the aging, ailing, and no longer useful(??) Clintons) ; paint Russia in a positive light; maybe paint Israel (via the Epstein-Worked-for-Mossad lie) and/or Ukraine in a bad light; cause Gabbard to be seen as an honorable champion for America; cause Trump to be seen more as the champion the Q-anon type narrative has built him up to be; cause Trump and his “team” to be beyond reproach; etc, etc, etc, ad nauseum.

I don’t like how suddenly, after long relative silence, Gabbard is now taking center stage with the “Obama/Biden coup against Trump”. How Maxwell is suddenly being “interviewed and questioned”; how Gen Flynn has suddenly started getting loud again; how Bondi seems to be starting to coordinate with Gabbard. How folks like Pence and Pompeo who have been strong supporters of Ukraine are being slandered; how Bolton who didn’t kiss Trump’s derriere is being implicated in the “coup.”

I feel Maxwell may be being coached into the proper things to say, or maybe she already knows what needs to be said and is now saying it.

I think Gabbard may be coordinating a massive disinformation campaign for American consumption (under guidance of her Communist superiors of course) to forever put Team Trump above question or reproach by true antiCommunists and patriots; and who knows what else they may accomplish?

If Obama, or the Clintons, or the Bidens, or Comey, or Brennan, or others of that ilk are prosecuted, then Gabbard and the rest of Team Trump will forever be heros and their word will not be able to be questioned.

Sorry if this is disjointed. I haven’t organized my thoughts well yet, but it seems that a big “disinformation operation” is in the works via Gabbard right now.

    1. Throw in a good ol’ “Islamic Terrorist” attack, as Gabbard has insisted is our primary enemy, and tough rhetoric and maybe a tough response to it, and you can forget ever being able to question anything regarding Gabbard, Trump, or anyone in Trump’s administration who “slouches toward Russia.”

    2. We have never had a DNI who played such a strong propagandistic role. Brennan as CIA Director was suspect, of course, playing his anti-Trump message from the left. That opened the precedent. But Gabbard plays a louder game from a higher position. She beats her drum ever more fervently.
