Twenty Centuries of Stony Sleep

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The Falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

  • WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS

In reference to the Holocaust, Elie Wiesel often asked, “Where was God?” When Germany was a smoking ruin, the world did not ask where God had been. They were more interested in the whereabouts of Adolf Hitler. Everyone was amazed at Hitler’s superhuman wickedness. Was Hitler in Hell? Or was he in Patagonia? A certain aura clung to the German dictator after 1945. His deification, as Antichrist, was something almost nobody noticed. As a representative of mass death and destruction he was furtively admired. In fact, his vilification was an unwitting form of admiration. As prophesied by Yeats, after twenty centuries of stony sleep, Hitler came. He was in the image of Nero. He made war on the Jews. He was a new type of man, higher and more godlike than the kings and queens of old; for he was thought to have wielded more power than any human being in history. Thus, he represented a new genus: Homo Carnifex (i.e., man the butcher); born out of the union of Homo suilaudans (man the self-worshipper) and Homo eversor (man the degrader).

What gave Hitler so much power? It was, ironically, his opposition to progress, equality, and democracy. After his own twisted fashion, Hitler’s game was to battle evil with evil; that is, to oppose the myth of progress with outright barbarism; to oppose equality with racism; and to oppose democracy with the most astonishing dictatorship in all history.

How did Hitler emerge? Ironically, he was the child of progress, equality, and democracy. We forget that the masses deified Hitler after democracy had deified the masses. There is a natural progression here, from the clueless boob who voted for Hitler to the Nazi Antichrist himself. It was, indeed, modernity’s deification of the common man that initiated a continuous process of degeneration. This facilitated the emergence of the Führer. As noted in earlier essays, Hitler was not a statesman. He was not a real leader. He was an actor. He was a crowd-pleaser – a performer offering grand words and gestures to witless fools.

There are consequences when rank order is perverted by political performers. We were recently treated to a female performer of this kind. She gave an acceptance speech after her party nominated her to run for President, shamelessly lying about her beliefs and intentions. Throughout her speech she conjured the triple-headed monster of progress, equality, and democracy. She was, in that instance, rocking the cradle of a rough beast, “its hour come round at last,” slouching towards Bethlehem to be born. As in the French Revolution, the early phase seems innocent enough. But as these actors and charlatans reach the apex of power, they cast aside the mask of moderation. They become, step by step, ferocious. They become, in fact, the funhouse mirror image of the thing they oppose.

In his book, Slouching Towards Gomorrah, Judge Robert H. Bork wrote of America’s passion for equality. “Despite its rhetorical vagueness,” he explained, “or because of it, the Declaration of Independence profoundly moved Americans….” Equality became the most powerful ideological ingredient in American politics. And though it verges on heresy, added Bork, “it is also profoundly unfortunate.”[i] Yet many Americans believe egalitarianism is the New Jerusalem.

In respect of this, I have a book by the Rev. A. Hallner, written in 1918, titled, Uncle Sam the Teacher and the Administrator of the World. Below the title we read, “Universal Brotherhood, Universal Suffrage, Equality.” Below that we read, “Equal Opportunity, Equal Responsibility, Protection of the Weak Against Encroachment of the Strong.” On the next page is a picture of George Washington with the words of the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident: That all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights….” There follows another page with Abraham Lincoln’s portrait and a quotation from the Gettysburg Address.[ii]

Rev. Hallner wrote an inscription on the first page of this book, in his own hand, to “Earl Lindgren … July 1919 … [signed] Grandpa.” For those who do not know, my grandfather was Earl Lindgren, and the Rev. A. Hallner was his grandfather. We see from this book, that the Rev. Hallner thought the Bible’s ultimate promises were politically significant. If Christ said his kingdom was “not of this world,” Hallner held the opposite view. In fact, Hallner dedicated his book to mothers “who SACRIFICE their dearly beloved … sons” in the Great War. As a political testament, this book is an amalgam of Biblical fundamentalism, American military interventionism, opposition to war profiteering, and belief in a rebuilt Jerusalem “as the CAPITAL CITY OF THE WORLD.”[iii]

When I was 13-years-old, on hearing sermons about the “end times,” I asked my grandfather, the Rev. Earl Lindgren, what he thought of Bible prophecy. He told me about his grandfather, Rev. Hallner. At the outbreak of World War I, Hallner had insisted that Kaiser Wilhelm II was the Antichrist. Hallner also claimed that 1914 was the beginning of the Seven Year Tribulation predicted in the Bible. Of course, these notions were nonsensical. My grandfather then explained, “Biblical passages about the beginning and the end of the world are metaphorical, poetic, and difficult to interpret. But the Bible is perfectly clear about how we should live here and now.”

It seems that my grandfather, with the advantage of hindsight, thought that his grandfather was spiritually immature. From what I have read, Rev. Hallner was also politically immature. Like today’s liberals and leftists, he mixed notions of political salvation with spiritual salvation. This makes for bad religion and bad politics. If my twice great grandfather had any historical or political knowledge, he would have thought twice before writing a 284-page book riddled with grotesque political and religious speculations; for he was mistaken in nearly everything he supposed about the future. Rather than the return of Christ at the end of World War I, there was the Versailles Treaty which mercilessly punished the German people – opening the way for Hitler’s rise and the Second World War. It was not Christ who would appear after 1918; rather, it would be Hitler. While this tragic future loomed, Hallner wrote, “UNCLE SAM IS DIVINELY APPOINTED AND COMMISIONED for a great accomplishment.”[iv]

Hallner believed that World War I would end with Christ’s return. He believed that “UNCLE SAM THE LIBERATOR” was fighting for the “restoration of the Promised Land and the re-building of JERUSALEM, the Holy City, which will in due time become the Capital City of the World, and to usher in the millenium [sic], when ‘nations shall learn to war no more’ – such being the object, the actual war-aim, so far as UNCLE SAM is concerned….”[v]

We see, in this example, how politics and war colored Rev. Hallner’s interpretation of scripture. He wrote, “Great will be the reward lavished upon faithful participants, whether they are parents who sacrifice their sons, the faithful devoted wife sacrificing her husband, the capitalist who converts his treasure into LIBERTY BONDS ….” Hallner regarded “the beloved and honored President Woodrow Wilson” to be an “advanced thinker,” scholar, and “practical teacher.”[vi] He had no clue that Wilson’s utopian schemes were in vain. He wrote, “Prophecy is being fulfilled.” Hallner thought Wilson was preparing “the earth and the inhabitants therein for the coming of Christ to rule as a king.”[vii] And here we are, 106 years later, as the world deteriorates further.

While the Rev. Hallner believed in President Wilson’s Godly mission, the ungodly H.L. Mencken blasted Wilson with the following words, “The important thing is not that a popular orator should have uttered such vaporous and preposterous phrases [e.g., “a war to end all war”], but that they should have been gravely received, for weary years, by a whole race of men, some of them intelligent.”[viii] Mencken was not a spiritual man, but he understood politics. “There is the fundamental idea of democracy,” he wrote, “that all political power should remain in the hands of the populace, that its exercise by superior men is intrinsically immoral.” With regard to World War I, Mencken explained, “The late war, very unpopular at the start, was ‘sold’ to [the American people], as the advertising phrase has it, by representing it as a campaign for the salvation of democracy, half religious and wholly altruistic.”[ix]

It is evident that liberals and communists, in their missionary zeal, have borrowed some of their themes from the Bible – though they would never admit to such plagiarism. In fact, they have hidden it well behind “scientific” terminology and scholarly pretense. Capitalizing on the mistaken notions of clergymen like Rev. Hallner, who mixed apocalypticism with political propaganda, the communists openly exploit millenarian expectations that lie deeply implanted in the public mind. Homo carnifex promises that the lion will soon lie down with the lamb. What Homo carnifex intends, however, is to eat the lamb himself.

What will the tasty lamb do? Offer up a blasphemous admixture of political charlatanry and Biblical interpretation? This is how lamb chops are made. “Never underestimate the booberie of the booboisie,” wrote Mencken, the critic. Whatever his faults as a thinker, Mencken was right to suggest that Boobus Americanus is a danger to himself. I am sorely vexed at Rev. Hallner’s book, Uncle Sam the Teacher and the Administrator of the World. It is full of unwitting self-contradictions, shopworn tropes, threats of Hellfire, and worse.

Today the American booboisie is going for the ultimate booby prize: NATIONAL SUICIDE ON THE FAST PLAN (via Kamala Harris). Of course, it might well be that the only reason America has not been blown off the map is that Homo boobiens now governs China and Russia, too. After several generations of mass politics, politicians across the planet have succumbed to booberie. Nearly all countries are engaged in destroying their own currencies, collapsing their own banks, while depopulating their native citizens. Yesterday I watched an interview with Tommy Robinson (a.k.a .Stephen Christoper Yaxley-Lennon). He said the United Kingdom’s political decline is the result of official cowardice. Mencken more precisely characterized America’s decline in similar terms. He wrote: “What lies under the horror … is the deepest and most widespread of human weaknesses, which is to say, intellectual cowardice, the craven appetite for mental ease and security, the fear of thinking things out.”

Such has been our twenty centuries of “stony sleep.”

When considering the ” false ” claims of ” Antichrist” given in the past, please recall that while God is omniscient, Satan certainly isn’t. He must therefore always have a steady stream of “little-anti-christ’s” ( multiples ) in the wings waiting to step in the role when ( not IF) the conditions finally come to place. What has been prophecied and what conditions are coming into view as I speak?
    1) The ” Mark of the Beast” without which no one may buy are sell/Central Bank CBDC’s which are programmable and “Social Credit Scores” ( think China)
    2) A ” One World Currency ” ( brought on by economic collapse
    3) A ” New World Order/ One World Government ” brought on in the aftermath of the upcoming ” WWIII” most likely to originate in the middle east, or Ukraine or Taiwan. It is impossible to speak of ” false ” predictions of Antichrist without first considering the omniscience of God vs. the lack of omniscience on the part of satan.

    1. Timothy: In stressing God’s omniscience you are forgetting man’s inability to weigh God’s omniscience. All language employs words or symbols to explain truth (i.e., reality). Of course, there are different kinds of truth (spiritual, philosophic, scientific, etc.). Every symbol, metaphor or word either refers to something real and true, or it is harmful nonsense.

Of course, there are a lot of people, in politics and religion, who are using words and symbols without knowing (or even caring) what those words or symbols actually mean. Many people think they know what certain words mean, but it becomes clear after awhile that they do not. What many people do is memorize words that they have misunderstood. Scientists who talk of a “scientific consensus,” for example, are talking nonsense. To talk of a “scientific consensus” shows that they do not understand science at all. There are religious people who also have this same problem.

It is my impression that many of us mistake the meaning of the words we hear and consequently end up using, like Rev. Hallner. They will protest, of course, that their understanding is deep. But we eventually discover that their predictions and their understandings are false. The sad fact is, most of the people engaged in the Bible Prophecy game do not understand politics or history, which is the medium in which they are offering their predictions. They are, in this sort of business, immanentizing spiritual symbols to make money. Thus, they are misusing religious symbols in the very act of interpreting them, having misunderstood the sense in which these symbols were originally used.

In building a commentary around Yeats’s poem, we need to notice that the Sphinx (a lion body with a man’s head) is directly depicted in the poem. For Yeats’s man-headed lion is not the Antichrist. In Greek mythology the Sphinx was a beast that lived outside the city of Thebes, posing riddles to travelers before they were allowed to pass. If the traveler failed to answer the riddle correctly, he would be devoured by the Sphinx. Here we have a direct warning that spiritual riddles are a matter of life-or-death. In a sense, the Apocalypse of St. John is a bestiary full of riddles – a book of beasts and monstrous creatures. Each beast presents us with a riddle. There are also riddles in the associated beastly numbers – 144,000 – 666 – and 1,260. If you can tell me what these numbers have in common, you will have passed one of the riddles presented in the Apocalypse. But I suspect that these Bible prophecy “experts” cannot tell us what these numbers have in common. Neither can they tell us what these numbers have in common with the Alpha and the Omega. This is not easy material, and anyone who thinks they can analyze contemporary events from such riddles is either very stupid or simply does not care whether they are talking nonsense and defrauding good people.

From what you have written, I think you should set aside this subject for a while and meditate on the failed interpretations of my grandfather’s grandfather, Rev. Hallner. He made falsifiable political predictions that were, indeed, falsified. He said the Kaiser was THE Antichrist, that Jerusalem was going to become the WORLD CAPITAL, and that Christ was returning in 1921. My best advice related to this sort of thing: Never make predictions, especially about the future. If God wanted you to know the future, he would have made His texts more explicit. So far, the promoters of “end times” analysis are batting zero in terms of predicting the Second Coming. Hal Lindsey, who got rich with “The Late Great Planet Earth,” predicted Jesus’s return by 1988. When I mentioned this in a WorldNetDaily column, Joe Farah censored me, denying that Lindsey had made the prediction. Of course, as a 13-year-old I read the original edition of the book from my church library which contained that prediction, which I remembered very well. Later editions of the book have since removed Lindsey’s original false premise.

I should say, in this context, that Hal Lindsey is not alone in ignoring the solemn warning that appears at the end of the Apocalypse of St. John. It is a warning akin to the Greek legend of the Sphinx. Rev. 22:18 says, “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.” I must admonish you, because the way you are interpreting the political world is potentially dangerous on the political and the spiritual level.

      1. “The sad fact is, most of the people engaged in the Bible Prophecy game do not understand politics or history, which is the medium in which they are offering their predictions.”

That is a columniation and reveals you don’t understand bible prophecy. I can understand that you respect your grandfathers view. That is natural. Alas, it is dead wrong. I have reached most of the same conclusions you have from a prophetic view.

What we are seeing is the set up for the world government that has been prophesied. The competition with Russia and China is the fight for who will head up the the NWO that is coming.

        1. What person have I made a false or defamatory statement about? My grandfather’s grandfather? Hal Lindsey? I used the term “most people,” without naming anyone. To calumniate someone is to damage someone’s reputation. What false statement have I made? I spoke for Prophecy Club and they gave me thirty videos made by the other speakers, and MOST OF THEM were grotesquely wrong and/or ignorant. And yes, I do not understand this game that some Christians want to play where they match current events to Bible passages. The process has not succeeded in producing reliable political analysis or a reliable set of predictions. And my question about the numbers in the Book of Revelation has still gone unanswered. If you know the answer, please explain it. But then, I rather suspect that those who follow these popular prophecy motifs about World War III know very little about the symbols, numbers, and deeper meanings that appear in Revelation. And not having a clue about these meanings, I have no reason to think they know what they are talking about. For more than fifty years I have been watching and reading. And I am worried that well-meaning people are fed false prophecies, false interpretations, and are misled about what is happening.

Thank you, Jeff, for your direct words.

It makes it easier to understand symbols, metaphors, words and actions – but in all the confusion of times past, present and the look into the future, causal chains have emerged that do not necessarily lead to a correct outcome.

I do not have access to all the information and knowledge – metaphysically speaking – I am perhaps somehow guided by my very own epigenetics, in which intuitive action leads to adaptation or survival, for example. So I need to more than empty myself and possibly fill myself up properly.

Isn’t it the case that nobody knows whether living is just dying, but dying is life?

        Hi Jeff,

I just noticed it gets stranger.
If you then take the 3, 9;s and add them together you get 9+9+9 = 27. 2+7 =9

So, what’s significant about the root number 9 in revelation?

        Very strange.

        -Bill Freeman

        1. Revelation is the 27th book of the New Testament. But it gets stranger. Valhalla, where the 9 maidens of Odin bring the dead heroes to feast with the Gods, has 540 gates. When Augustus performed a ceremony to renew the world, he held it on 6/3 (June 3), with a chorus of 27 girls and 27 boys, all whose parents (54) had to be alive. He then sacrificed 9 ewes and 9 rams. But there is much more:
he 9th Planet was Pluto, the god of death of rebirth. A woman is pregnant 9 months. When we reach 9 at the end of the sequence, we begin again with zero and start over. 9, 19, 29, etc.

Jeff: In my opinion the warning in Revelation 22:18 is not for ordinary people, who are trying to interpret the scripture one way or another. I do not think that God is angry with them for that. But I think it is for the churches, who take away some parts of the scriptures and add other passages to suit themselves and teach it as doctrine.

        1. It refers to adding to or subtracting from the Book of Revelation.

Thanks, I was going to delve into the numbers a lot more over the weekend. That’s a treasure trove of info (and made the hair on the back of my neck stand), Thanks. That’s getting pretty deep.

“In Kabbalistic numerology, the number 9 is linked to completion and the fulfillment of one’s purpose. It is noted that any number added to 9 returns to the original number, symbolizing a cyclical nature and the idea of returning to one’s roots or essence.
The property that any number added to 9 returns to the original number is a characteristic of modular arithmetic, specifically mod 9.”

        Found another:

“The Long Count allows the Maya to record historical events over millennia, and the number 9 appears in various contexts within these cycles, including the counting of baktuns (a cycle of 144,000 days) and katuns (a cycle of 7,200 days).
The number 9 is integral to the structure and function of the Long Count calendar, serving as a marker for significant periods and events in Maya history, and playing a crucial role in the calculations that define the calendar’s operation.”

        144,000 same number from revelation

        7,200 also reduces to 9

This is fun for me, thanks again.

        1. Bill: There is a book that struggles to understand this, titled “Hamlet’s Mill.” These numbers are also related to “processional numbers.”

Stick to the Reformers and you won’t stray too far from the correct eschatology. The Mark is something people inflict on themselves at the behest of the False Prophet (aka the beast from the earth, of Rev 13) to show that they bow down to the Image of the beast, and it comes just as the beast from the sea era (the West as nominally Christian) transitions into the scarlet beast era (the West as blatantly hyper socialist), which I submit is now. Note that in Revelation, the Image and the Mark are inextricably tied together in Rev 13, Rev 14 and Rev 16.

The False Prophet is the influencer caste, the educators, the apostate clergy, the cult of the expert, the opinion-makers, et al, who want us to submit to the Image, which is the object of worship of the beast system, which today consists of all that we are required to genuflex before lest we find ourselves restricted in society, cancelled, etc., i.e., LGBT, CRT, open doors immigration, etc., and all who reject those things will find themselves increasingly victimised here in the West over the next few years (such as the anti-immigration protestors in the UK have recently been), especially if a digital currency gets introduced.

Your great-great grandfather’s well-intentioned (I’m sure) folly perhaps explains your longstanding reluctance to entertain impassioned debate here about apocalyptic speculations over every current development.

I remember when I came to faith in Christ as a teenager in the early 70’s that prominent Christian prophets confidently predicted the imminent commencement of the Great Tribulation, a Russian invasion of Israel (how, exactly?), the Rapture, etc. This, of course, took Christians’ focus to a great extent off of their immediate redemptive work. I still believe in the fulfillment of end-time prophecy, but more humbly recognize that the Lord has His own timing about the matter. Plus the world’s wickedness as apprehended in the 1970’s was downright prudish in comparison to bearded transsexuals corrupting little children today…

    1. Indeed, we keep on degenerating. How much further down this road can we go? Rome dragged on in this way for hundreds of years.

      1. CONCERNED Avatar
        CONCERNED

The ONLY entity that is absolutely impossible to degenerate is what St. Paul calls “the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth”

        https://drbo.org/cgi-bin/d?b=drb&bk=61&ch=3&l=15#x

But when the supernatural is removed by men from God and His Church, then all is left are such Protestant writers as this Mr. Haller from Sweden.

The reason is, as St. Thomas Aquinas points to, that it is impossible to discern the truth without the soul being in the sanctifying grace – which means stripped of all sins, using the means God (and not men) established.

If there was no such means and God permitted all human souls to be free from all consequences of their actions, who would then be the arbiter of the truth and justice ? Politically and spiritually perverted men ?

That of itself inevitably leads to atheism and thus to communist tyranny.

That’s why the Vatican was on Moscow’s list of subversion targets as the #1 target and as Gen. Sejna testified, they (this is the Czech communist espionage) had 3 clerical agents inside the Vatican in early 1960s…

The communists want to silence this same Church of the living God, the One Church that God created and founded, as then the communists, who are guided by the devil himself into all their evils, they know that the world will join the ranks of the blind and deaf to the truth, as then God will not provide the necessary Divine grace to them who offend Him in their denial of the revealed truth of salvation – i.e. heretics, infidels, apostates and so on.

That’s why the world is in so much evil turmoil and trouble today and that’s why only those who will obtain the mercy of God and convert and amend, they will be spared the consequences of the general apostasy, immorality and unbelief, which it the upcoming time of the Antichrist, 3 and half years of extraordinary evil which the atheistic communist criminals will impose by brute force upon the whole world.

They had just arrested a woman as Arizona City Council public meeting for criticizing the mayor, he had her removed and she was given a ticket for criminal trespassing…for criticizing the mayor there and his policies…

        https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/08/above-accountability-arizona-mom-arrested-council-meeting-mayor/

So this is only how it begins, but they will not stop now, they know that they control the main places of public influence and thus they are assured that their version of “democracy”, the communist tyranny, will be implemented, and these atheistic fanatics will not stop until that is done.

If I take Yeats for the 2000 years after Christ, I can extend the arc even further to around 2000 years before Christ and come to the same insight – man’s struggles with his soul are reflected in a reflection on the experiences of life and death and immortality.
So is the year 0 = Christ and everything before and after consecrated to “God is dead”? Did the death of Christ also mean the death of God? Does it require the death of God to give birth to the ideology(ies)?

The “Conversation of the weary man with his soul”, one of the “most desperate texts” (so it is said) in world literature, is attributed to Amenemhat l. (circa 2000-1970 BC).

A papyrus “Conversation of the weary of life
With his soul”, full of dark sorrow,
Testifies to a confused time of long duration,
Until a ruler from the south came to bring order.

The great Amenemhat created peace for the land of
Egypt peace, as his mouth promised.
He gave the harsh advice “Trust no one”
To his son Sesostris as a pledge.

Four thousand years his hard word bears witness
    Of a royal heart’s distress…
    “Trust no one!” Bitterest commandment!

How terribly such an admonition continues to work!
“Trust no one!” Does one bear this life,
Has one completely surrendered to such insight?

I read this poem by Albrecht Haushofer ages ago. Albrecht Haushofer, a resistance fighter against National Socialism who was shot in the back in April 1945, was the son of the notorious geopolitician Karl Haushofer, who is still regarded today as Hitler’s “ideological teacher and the spiritual father of Nazi ideology”.

For a long time, Haushofer’s poem only made it into my notebook until I came across a lecture by Eric Voegelin in the mid-1990s: “Immortality Lectures” (if my memory does not deceive me), which revolves around the “conversation of the tired of life with his soul”. Especially in the present day, it makes sense to take a closer look at Voegelin’s lecture text. Also because he gives a lot of space to “experience is an illusion”. A dogma that is not only an integral part of the cultural Marxism of the woke community, but is also a central component and unifying element of various ideologies that can be found in our (western) societies today.

Even before Voegelin, Immanuel Kant and Ludwig Feuerbach were quick to point out in detail that ‘dogmatic’ statements survive space and time, even if they are publicly refuted.

As a complementary phenomenon to the dogmatic statements of socialist-communist ideologies, the facts are neither ignored nor concealed by the ruling functionaries today. Instead, they are parodied in an almost provocative way. Social media is routinely used to frame illusionary reality in self-perceived experience.

An interesting experience. During a lecture on porenology, I spoke about the type of man (psychopath / sociopath) with a moustache. Everyone in the audience recognized Hitler in my lecture – but I was talking about Stalin … EXPERIENCE IS AN ILLUSION when reality is framed in such a way.

    1. Imagine how susceptible of “conditioning” the average human subject must be to think of Hitler while leaving Stalin out of account: two men of the underground (as in Dostoyevski’s “Notes From Underground”). Here one is wearied by the internal monologue of a malevolent neurotic, perhaps in the same way Hitler’s dinner guests were wearied by the Fuhrer’s monologues. Stalin, at least, was aphoristic — leaving the largest share of bombast to his minions. There are many Antichrists when we realize that communism — like Nazism — is an Antichrist movement. What is an Antichrist ? Someone who promises what Christ promised but delivers the exact opposite.

      1. Birgit Naujeck Avatar
        Birgit Naujeck

But isn’t that precisely the task of the Antichrist, Jeff? – no matter what guise he appears in?

Father Stalin and Mother Merkel – how can anyone have the idea of finding evil behind the friendly description of such people? Christian Tupamaros, a formerly rather peaceful Robin Hood movement in Uruguay, gave rise to the Soviet-trained Marxist terrorists who saw themselves as an army of liberation. Dieter Kunzelmann, the extreme left-wing anti-Semite, founded a terrorist group with the same name in West Berlin, which was a precursor to the RAF and the July 2 Movement.

Why can no Lukasz, no Gramsci, no Marx or others seduce me? And if not them, then who?

Which synapses are activated by the Antichrist in order to recruit followers and eliminate opponents? The Marxist terrorist organizations of the West now only come with friendly faces and simple minds. They are corrupting us with the welfare state, financed with tax money stolen from the working people.

They will show us their grimaces after they take power.

        1. Oh yes, the soft voice and the wide road to Hell, which is paved with “good intentions.”

The late J. Krishnamurti, an Indian teacher promoted and supported by the Theosophical Society, believed in the logic and necessity of world government. I wonder what he would think today after our recent and on-going frightening experiences with so-called “global issues”. Would he accept the establishment narratives?

He often said that truth could not be found in the “field of the known” and that it has to find you, and not vice versa. He provided some personal experiences in this regard.

Maybe someone else here is familiar with his writings–several books.

    1. I am not familiar with Krishnamurti, but he made a fundamental mistake in describing truth as transcendental while prescribing “world government.” Such is an immanentizing solution to a transcendental problem. It is vexing to see someone subvert their own message.

      1. beyondtheranges Avatar
        beyondtheranges

I believe Krishnamurti was thinking in terms of practical necessity and survival rather than ushering in a utopia.

@Birgit Naujeck, interesting question: Which synapses are activated by the Antichrist in order to recruit followers and eliminate opponents? My parents are Marxists, my family, all of my collegeaues and most of my friends are marxists, i am surrounded by communists. What do they have in common? Of course alienation, they don’t believe in God or if they believe in this new socialist theology, promoted by Marxists in the last years. But another point they have in common is that. they don’t read. Usually i recommend the books of Dostoevsky or Solovies Antichrist or this forum, obviously without any success, people are lazy and if you are lazy the antichrist knocks on your door.

@Giacomo God is not dead, but God gets a new name … Marx, Lenin, Capital, or whatever … because man cannot be without religion = world view. Religion is usually not provable in the sense of scientific theory, but is based on the belief in messages from certain mediators or in intuitive and individual experiences. Such spiritual messages or experiences are referred to as revelation in many religions.

Dogmatic religions such as communism define the total claim to truth for themselves. And this is precisely where the elimination of existing synapses comes in. Let’s take Marxist doctrine and its many organizations that ‘assist’ in understanding Marx’s work. There are not only reading circles at universities, there are privately initiated ones and of course all kinds of NGOs and party-affiliated / -funded groups. Each of these groups is led by a ‘trained’ Marxist who helps those interested to understand Marx in the sense of Marx and to embrace this thought as the new gospel. I attended several different groups, even a Leninist-Marxist one. The unwritten consensus was that the leader dictated what the group should and should not think and feel. Discussions were only allowed in this direction. Either you accept this collectivist form of knowledge transfer or you leave.

If you have the misfortune to be born into a communist group, it is very difficult to build up your own view of the world from the inspirations and phrases of adults and other family members. If only because the state educational institutions do not teach anything else (Germany).

      1. It is a dark world, indeed, where false dogma reigns supreme.

    1. Yes. When I spoke to Bukovsky shortly before his death he expressed great disappointment in Americans. He said he had to leave America because the people were too stupid. They did not care to understand anything of importance. In the piece you cited, he wrote, “In fact, the American people don’t mind foreign policy so long as it doesn’t require any effort or sacrifice on their part. They don’t mind the CIA so long as it doesn’t do anything. They don’t even mind having an army of some kind — after all, other countries have armies for some strange reason — so as long as it doesn’t have to be used anywhere, and, most important, so long as no one gets hurt. In short, Americans view international relations as something ceremonial and solemn — like the Queen’s visit to California, or a trip to Paris when the dollar is in a good place.”

This is vintage Bukovsky. Great stuff. He knew the booboisie well.

There are too many in the U.S. as well who prefer believing lies to acknowledging truth and who delight in this kind of nonsense. 17. You have revealed why you oppose much of what is called “prophecy”. As a Bible believer, I oppose much of it also because I can’t find it in the Bible. Instead I see theories based on ignorance—ignorance of the Hebrew language and idioms, and even mistranslations of the Bible. As a result, “Biblical passages about the beginning and the end of the world are metaphorical, poetic, and difficult to interpret.” to your grandfather. I disagree with your grandfather concerning the beginning of the universe, that is perfectly clear, likewise much of what will happen at the end of the world, once a whole pile of non-Biblical crud is removed.

I find myself amazed at the lack of scholarship. There’s only one book written in Biblical Hebrew, plus a few letters. Yet my experience of professors who claim to teach Biblical Hebrew, only very few have read that book completely through, cover to cover, even once. Those who have read it through twice can probably be counted on the fingers of one hand. Professors may know writings about Biblical Hebrew. But most teach medieval Hebrew or even modern Israeli Hebrew, along with a few passages of the Bible that seem to fit their theories of the language, and call that Biblical Hebrew. Biblical Hebrew ceased being natively spoken by about 450 BC, but continued to be used in the same way as medieval Latin. Those who used Hebrew tended to paste Hebrew words onto the grammars of the languages that they spoke—Farsi, Greek, Latin, etc., Indo-European languages—making Hebrew used already 2000 years ago a different language from Biblical Hebrew. Because of a lack of what I consider basic scholarship, most professors don’t recognize the difference.

Likewise most prophecy in the New Testament is based on the Old Testament, especially the book of Revelation. Because people don’t know the Old Testament, they don’t recognize New Testament prophecy. Yet even knowing the Old Testament doesn’t explain all the symbolism found in Revelation.

One thing is clear, we are repeatedly told that the end of this world—the day of judgment—will come without warning, at an unknown time. That could be 20 years from now, 200 or maybe even 2000 years, the Bible has deliberately hidden that date from us. But our end, when we face God’s judgment, could be today. Therefore, your grandfather was correct “But the Bible is perfectly clear about how we should live here and now.”

        Hi Jeff,

Thanks I figured that was the issue.

        -Bill Freeman

    2. Bill, can you disprove the history of the Bible?

Ancient history has a big problem, and his name is Manetho. There are those, including those who don’t believe the Bible, who claim that his history is not worth the papyrus he wrote it on. Yet it is the basis for the histories recounted by Kenneth Kitchen, Zahi Hawass and most history departments at universities. There are problems connected with his history and coordinating it with histories from other countries. I can give many more details, but any criticisms of the Bible based on Manetho’s history have to be taken with a big grain of salt.

As for Christian universities insisting that their teachers not deviate from the school’s purpose only makes sense. Secular universities do that all the time. Can you name a single secular university that has a professor teaching intelligent design in its biology department? So why should a Christian university have a professor who attacks Christianity?

A final point is philosophical: do we live in a universe that is material only and closed to other influences (materialism)? Or do we live in an open universe that was created by a spirit, which spirit can act into the material universe which he created? The answers given to these two questions will determine whether or not the histories contained in the Bible are plausible or not.

      1. Bill Freeman Avatar
        Bill Freeman

“Bill, can you disprove the history of the Bible?” No, but what if I could.?
What would that do to your belief structure? Would you be able to adapt?

Both are wrong concerning the restricting of academic freedom. Who says anyone will ‘attack Christianity’? They aren’t even allowed to question or debate the truthfulness of it.
That’s absurd. Fear probably, fear of seeking truth? Like suppressing evidence.

As for God, surely, just not YHWH the anthropomorphized storm god of the bronze age.
I see the stories of the old testament echos other stories around the world. The story that beings descended from the stars (and they name the stars) to create humanity to do the toil of the gods. It’s also said, these beings taught humanity many things.

Manetho’s original writings have gone through alterations, etc. Just like the bible. Both can’t be accepted at face value.

“Yet it is the basis for the histories recounted by Kenneth Kitchen, Zahi Hawass and most history departments at universities.” Yes Zahi Hawass scared of knowledge or truth that would upset his applecart. Too afraid to open the chamber below the sphinx. To afraid to look at the cavernous tunnels all over the pyramid complex. Seriding antone who disagrees with him as a pyramidiot Yes, I bet his historical opinions are slanted.

Manethos writings are one of many sources used in universities.

“Kitchen himself has noted that while Manetho’s texts can be informative, they must be approached critically, especially given the advancements in Egyptology and the ability to read original hieroglyphic sources that were not available in earlier scholarship”

        Next

I’m curious, maybe you can offer an answer. What was the attraction to burning fat? The burning fat that calmed YHWH? The same burning fat that calmed Zeus and his pantheon. It’s rather curious. To me, the Zeus or Greek Theoi stories could be picking parts of the Elohim story of the old testament. Kind of a Marvel Comic version of the Elohim.

And what ever happened to YHWH’s wife Asharah? Divorce? What is El Elyon up to at the moment, still running the sky council? Are the UFO’s the return of the Elohim?

To me and my studies, matter seems to be a product of information. So it’s very possible it’s all an elaborate simulation. Holographic simulation of frozen light, possibly? Matter manifest at the speed of light?

“The answers given to these two questions will determine whether or not the histories contained in the Bible are plausible or not.” Why does it have to be a spirit, something intangible or un-provable? There are many more questions and possibilities. Not just these two.

Now, if you have a personal blogspace/forum to debate this further, fine. Give me a link.
I realize some here are from the old days of when Jeff was on WND, so I see why there is an evangelical/fundamentalist slant here.

I’m done clogging Jeff’s blog with this subject. Everyone else might consider that as well.

Sorry Jeff, I apologize, this wont happen from me ever again. Last time, promise.

        -Bill Freeman

      2. Bill: your answer that you can’t prove the Biblical history false is accurate. Likewise I can’t prove it true. All each of us can do is to evaluate the evidence and make a decision as to which is more probable.

Here is where our philosophical presuppositions come into play. If you take the materialist view, that only matter and energy exist, you à priori rule out certain results before you have examined the evidence.

In an earlier message I mentioned the poor scholarship I run into. The main thrust of that message was against some of the wild theories on eschatology that are common today. That poor scholarship applies equally against those who attack the Bible. I won’t go into all the claims you make here, as they sound like derivative claims that you learned from others. And they are false, based on poor scholarship.

If the Bible can be proven to be false, intellectual honesty will force me to reject all of it. Because creation is at the core of the Biblical message, and evolution is at the center that opposes creation, I went to the university library to find every textbook—physics, chemistry, biology—that defined “science”—their definition was unanimous—and evolution—again a unanimous definition. What I found was that evolution, BY DEFINITION, can NOT be a scientific theory. The same faults make radiometric dating not scientific. That makes evolution merely a religious belief no different from creationism in competition with creationism. (Since that time, the definition for “science” has been changed.)

I have to look elsewhere for evidence that I find compelling. And you do too.

I like the topic of the end of the world, but I do not feel I can interpret the book of Revelation. I rely on my own intuition, logic and dreams.
Long time ago, in 1988 or 1989, while living in a Ukrainian republic of the USSR, and before I knew anything about God or religion and never having read the Bible or even parts of it, I had a dream, where the sky was totally black with dark brown burnt tree shapes against this black sky. Everybody around me was silent and depressed. We all knew that the end of the world will happen in 3 years. Then suddenly everything changed and the grass was bright green again and the sky was blue. There were other things happening, which I want to leave out, as they are not relevant. But that was the first time when the idea of the end of the world came into my attention.
In 2014, on April 12 I had a dream of looking at sunset. The sun was close to the ground already. And a huge black cloud was coming from my right (from the north) and was about to cover the setting sun. The message of the dream was to soak the rays of peaceful sun, before dark clouds would cover it. Since then, I had many dreams about the war coming to Ukraine. I saw my hometown in ruins. I saw military planes suspended in the sky, waiting for their time to attack. Many different dreams on the same topic.
Around 2019 I woke up one morning with numbers in my head 2022. I knew exactly what it meant. And in January 2022 I had a dream that the war will start at the end of February. So, there was some guidance and a chance to prepare.
I also count on a dream of my friend. She had it in 2010. She saw the map of the world and from Ukraine Hitler’s moustache started growing, covering the whole world. In the second part of the dream, she saw a huge earthquake in USA and somebody was saying that there were not enough rescuers. Casualties were so big, that there were less survivors than victims.
This dream seems true and significant because since 2014 Putin was walking very closely in Hitler’s steps. And the wars are spreading further and further.
In Matthew Christ says, there will be wars and rumors of wars, but this is not the end yet. So wars are just a first stage. It is not the end, but beginning of the events leading to the end of the world. And we don’t know how long this stage will last.
I also think that if we are too stuck on trying to interpret future events and their timing, it can be a sign of running away from our present realities. All change is happening in the now.

    1. Valentina Cherniuk Avatar
      Valentina Cherniuk

I forgot to mention, that after a dream about war starting in 2022, I was following real life events and found out that the North stream was supposed to be finished by 2022 after which Russia would no longer need a gas pipe going through Ukraine and that Russian army was going through a reform that was supposed to be finished by 2022. I could also filter out different analytics to see which ones were the closest to reality. Illarionov was far from reality. Valeriy Solovey was the closest. His insider information was in line with what I felt and it also really happened since exactly as he said.

      1. Oh yes, Illarionov was way off. I spoke with him some 15 years ago and was impressed by his belief that Putin would attack. He had a better sense of things back then. But then he smelled the optimistic flowers here in America and forgot the stink of the Kremlin. It seems that economic thinking persuaded him that nobody could be such a big idiot as to start a major war. But there it was. Putin started the war and cannot help himself. History is not the story of rational actors.

    2. Valentina: Very interesting dreams. Many people over the years have sent me their dreams. I am not surprised that some of these dreams have come true. I think that God sometimes speaks to us in dreams. But then there are bad pizza dreams, etc. The world is a strange place.

      1. Valentina Cherniuk Avatar
        Valentina Cherniuk

Jeff: I am a very sceptical person. But most of the time I can tell differences between pizza (or varenyky) dream and real thing.
To change the subject. On September 12 Valeriy Solovey is doing another of his exclusive meetings. He said that this Fall is the time for big and even catastrophic changes in Russia. I am sceptical of any positive changes in Russia, but I want to see what is brewing there behind the scenes. If I learn something new I will share.

        1. That would be great, Valentina. I am always interested in Russian TV broadcasts. If catastrophic changes are coming, there may be a widening of existing conflicts.

      2. Valentina Cherniuk Avatar
        Valentina Cherniuk

Solovey is hoping that the party of peace will win over the party of war (Patrushev as the head of the latter), and that the conflicts outside of Russia will cease. But inside Russia he is predicting conditions worse than they were in the hardest periods of Perestroyka. We shall see. He never mentions China as Russia’s ally in fight against the West. How would China react to the turn of events that he believes are imminent? Solovey implies that it’s going to be something, which Prigozhyn started, but haven’t finished.

    3. Valentina: the problem with the book of Revelation is that it is full of symbolism that is not explained in the book. Without explanation, the symbolism becomes a puzzle wrapped in a mystery. Furthermore, it is for the most part not eschatological. It refers to events that take centuries, even millennia, to finish.

Much, if not most, of the symbolism, is explained in the Old Testament. It was written with the expectation that its readers know the Old Testament. But who knows the Old Testament today?

      1. Valentina Cherniuk Avatar
        Valentina Cherniuk

R.O.: I have read all of the Bible as soon as I was able to get hold of it. And I am rereading parts of the Old and the New Testament from time to time. But you are right, I do not understand all of it. Once I have been overcome by Spirit and understood one difficult passage. But it doesn’t happen often and not for all of the passages.

      2. Much of the symbolism in the Book of Revelation comes from Greek and Roman myths. And I don’t understand how anyone could say Revelation is “not eschatological.” Is water not wet? With eschatological symbols, the length of the time encompassed is of no significance when you are talking about the end of the world and the emergence of a new heaven and a new earth — or a “New Jerusalem.”

      3. According to Steve Griggs book, “Revelation: Four Views: A Parallel Commentary”, there are four primary interpretive frameworks that orthodox Christians hold to. The partial preterist view holds that most of Revelation was fulfilled in the apostolic age. The historicist view holds that the events of Revelation are being fulfilled over the entire period from the Apostles to the end times. The spiritual view holds that the book of Revelation primarily refers to the ongoing struggle between good and evil and does not necessarily refer to specific historical events. The fourth view, that of the futurist, is the only view that believes that Revelation is predominantly eschatological.

        1. Sounds like Griggs has invented his own it interpretation for reasons unique to him. You go to any authoritative or scholarly discussion, and the Book of Revelation is counted as one of the three main eschatological books of the Bible. But here again, people have so many peculiar and idiosyncratic interpretations that one is worn out splitting hairs over mistakes other people make. The entire discussion we are having here — my essay — is about eschatological misunderstanding as a corrupting factor in political discourse. And now I am told there is no eschatology in Revelation unless I am a “futurist”? But the end of the Age or the world as we know it is presented in the Book, whether you choose to see it or not.

      4. Steve Griggs does very scholarly research, so I do not believe this categorization is his own invention. My understanding is that R.C. Sprouill, who was a Presbyterian like yourself held to a partial preterist view, and another Presbyterian from the late sixteen hundreds and early seventeen hundreds, Matthew Henry, wrote an extensive commentary of the whole Bible and he lays out the historist view, which was very common among the Reformers. Most people today hold to a futurist viewpoint and so your concern of eschatological misunderstanding as a corrupting factor in political discourse is highly relevant. My only point was that is not unreasonable for R.O. to hold the view that Revelation is not primarily eschatological, as many Christians have held that same view.

      5. Jeff: the nature of the beasts in Revelation comes from Daniel. Women as referring to peoples from Ezekiel. The son who rules the nations with a rod of iron from Psalm 2. The four horsemen from Zechariah. I can go on, but I don’t see a single Greek or Roman myth in there.

The book refers to events, some of which start before the book was written, then leading up to the end. Those are not specifically eschatological. The last chapters referring to the new heavens and earth are eschatological, but the majority of the book is not specifically eschatological.

My eschatological worldview divides history into ages based on the covenants made by God with us. We are currently in the church age which is the new covenant age following the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The next age is the antichrist age with a covenant made by him to replace the messianic covenant.

  24. Hitler was opposed to progress? That sounded strange to one from a background close to technology—Hitler promoted technological progress.

Hitler was a product of a society that was already sinking into barbarism and racism. Yet it was a society that prided itself that its progress was based on science and technology. Its products were considered the best the world had to offer. Students came from around the world to study science and engineering. Its scientists led the world in international recognition and Nobel prizes. In its pride, the society rejected the beliefs teaching humility and justice that had made it great, to replace those beliefs with inflated views of progress mediated by “science”. Its barbarism and racism were based on what it viewed as science.

This was a society that was ripe for an actor, a pied piper, to appeal to its pride.

That view of what are scientific theories also permeate U.S. society as well. In the 1970s when it was pointed out that those theories are not scientific at all, according to the centuries old definition of what makes up science, “scientists” changed the definition that defines scientific theories so that those theories could continue to be called “science”.

    1. Hitler thought like an ancient barbarian. He reduced a continent to rubble. He moved his armies in a counter-clockwise motion of conquest. He was, in effect, “turning back history.” He was concerned with “culture” rather than material progress (i.e., comfort). He did not share Western progressive values.

      1. Agreed that Hitler was a barbarian. But he was a barbarian who had a high regard for progress in science and technology. That’s what I was trying to say.

Anti-Israel hackers stole troves of sensitive Israeli data and are now publishing gigabytes of secret and classified information.

    Aug 21, 2024 1:35 pm IDT

A few months ago, foreign hackers managed to break into a computer linked to Israel’s Justice Ministry. Tens of thousands of classified files and sensitive emails were leaked. Links allowing anyone to download the breached files were published on Telegram, the popular instant messaging app.

Does this have anything to do with Durov’s detention I wonder?

    -Bill Freeman

    1. Bill: I do not know the answer. I have no information on whether Durov is or was a Russian intelligence asset. Undoubtedly, they would have pressured him for full control of Telegram, and full access to what users of Telegram post to each other.

General rule regarding dreams is to disregard them, as the grave danger is that these are supplied by the devil to deceive and ruin the soul, and to hook up the soul onto believing all that such supernatural communications can supply, which means the lies and deceits of the devil.

The devil likes to supply first somewhat good ideas and messages, to lure the soul into his hands, to get the soul to listen to the devil’s suggestions, and then the evil ones start rolling in, and the devil will force the soul to cooperate in it, no matter how much the soul is trying to resist.

If this was not something extremely important, one would only smile and do something else, but the damage that can emanate from it could be nearly catastrophic, as the devil can use such a person to disseminate all kind of “prophecies” and false ideas, and lure many more unwitting people into such schemes, it can get really evil when they are deceived and think perhaps God speaks to them or an Angel etc.

One of the best works on this subject of mystical theology is the early 1900s work of Rev. Fr. August Poulain, SJ “The graces of the interior prayer”, there should be a copy somewhere on the Archive.org website.

Those who don’t know anything about it shouldn’t be reading it, and those who think they know much about this subject should be very careful about how and what they know. There are works of mystics in the times past which warn about these diabolical deceptions, and they can bring a complete ruin to person’s life etc.

The proper way is to disregard dreams and follow right reason and truth and justice, as the right reason is depending on the 2 superior part of the soul – the intellect and the will, and there the devil cannot interfere too much, and it is the lower appetite of the soul, the emotions and senses that the devil often uses to destroy the will and intellect of the person the devil attacks, which includes such like occurrences as dreams.

If the dream comes from God, God will make absolutely certain that the soul is assured of it, but such like locutions, which are the lowest kind of supernatural communications, the devil often uses to lure the soul into his hands, and to pretend that God has spoken to that soul, and the devil can invent all kinds of seeming good messages and ideas, but at the end the ruin is most certain, as the evil ones soon replace the pretended ones, and the fabricated lies and deceptions will ruin that person’s life and of others, which is the diabolical goal in the first place.

The devil is like an invisible transmitter above your head, transmitting evil ideas and deceptions and lies into your head, you may think it is your own idea and even thinking that there is nothing wrong with it to carry it out, and then, if it is something truly evil, you will be responsible for the consequences…and not even knowing where it all truly came from.

Be EXTREMELY careful about dreams and such like communications.

Of course those who don’t believe in God will only smile, which is the half-path into the devil’s hands already…

        Dear Ma’am,
but there is much more to this than just the belief, much more.

It is where you stand with God and what state your soul is in, and so if you believe something heretical that God has never revealed and His Church has never taught, then no matter how much you think that all is well, the devil has the upper hand…by permission of God of course, and there is no recovery possible without the help of God. It is a great tragedy of these times and the general apostasy of this world that such deplorable situation exists, but nevertheless it is the truth, and it is all foretold in the Holy Scripture…

The rest is only for those who want to save their soul, and such like who don’t make it the priority of life, they will not understand it, and it would be useless to explain it here therefore, that’s why only general terms are used, not the specific details.

Diana West reacts to RFK endorsing Trump. At around minute 10 she praises RFK for bravely speaking out against the ‘fake pandemic’ and for calling out the CIA’s role in it, thereby risking the same treatment from the intelligence agency as his uncle (yes she said that).

At minute 17 she briefly discusses a map of the world, retweeted by Jeff on X, showing America and Europe encircled by Communist countries and their allies. Her reaction is not to fear for America’s survival, but to fear the increased power of the American military-industrial complex. On the US army she says “Who is that argument actually working for, who is that defense department, and how could such people advance anti-communism anywhere on the globe. Because we still don’t know who’s pushing the buttons… who’s actually running things.”

The problem is that if you throw out every institution that’s been tainted by communism, there will be no entity left to defend America. It’s almost as if she does not believe that America has any real enemies. Although she doesn’t say it, the logic seems to be that since the American government is occupied by communists, the other members of the Communist Club can’t really be America’s enemies. America’s encirclement is just a ruse to increase the power of domestic communists. Any attempt to slow the spread of communism, however imperfect, is really a sinister plot to advance communism. Reading between the lines, it follows that any attempt by the US to prepare for war with Russia and China, which naturally means increased defense spending and military presence overseas, should be condemned by patriots. I could see this idea gaining more traction as the US takes visible steps to improve its preparedness, with anti-government sentiment fanned to a fever pitch by Russian and Chinese agents both on the left and right. West’s view assumes that America is a completely occupied country and that communists have superhuman powers of control. It is the demoralization stage that Bezmenov was talking about.

    1. Laura: This point of view which Diana exemplifies is similar to Robert Welch’s way of talking, though Robert Welch thought he knew who the shadowy conspirators were (i.e., Jewish cabalists who rule the world through the banks and the Masonic lodges). As we see in Ukraine, heavily tainted Soviet-styled institutions can suddenly turn to fight communism when a country finds itself abused and exploited by Moscow center. If Ukraine, with all its comparative weakness, can pull down all of Lenin’s statues, and even lifelong communists are moved to join in the rebellion, and they can fight Russia to a standstill for three bloody years, then America’s institutions could do an about face so fast, and with such unexpected brutality, that the smarter communists know they must exercise great discretion — so much so that they must pretend to oppose Moscow and refuse to “hand over Europe to Russia” when Yeltsin demands it. Because the communists are a minority who cannot do more than others allow, and masses of people have the power to say no. As 2014 revealed in the Revolution of Dignity, an engineered crisis can backfire. Provocateurs can fail and turn coward, even when they hold the offices of President and Prime Minister.

Quoted for emphasis! We would all do well to keep these words in mind. 👍

    2. I don’t want to besmirch West’s earlier and relevant work, but at the same time, her views on the Russian invasion of Ukraine strike me as pearl-clutching and hand-wringing. Yes, that characterization might ruffle feathers, but her insistence that we can’t know the “real truth” of what’s going on and should stay back…that seems neurotic and fruitless. I remember when I used to emphasize nuance to the exclusion of decision-making, and I realized it’s a great way to accomplish nothing. There’s a right side and wrong side, and Ukraine has accomplished a number of miracles in spite of Western restrictions. Hate to be “the guy” but I think there are plenty of other anti-communist, pro-Western World, pro-Ukrainian analysts that can fill the void now.

My apologies for ranting on your site, Jeff; every time I see Diana West double down on this, it drives me nuts.

      1. Funny that you should mention nuance. I think the problem with West’s approach to the issue of communism is that it lacks necessary nuance. Her viewpoint comes across as cynical almost to the point of being suffocating; it doesn’t allow for the possibility of rolling back communism’s advances because it assumes that communists are nearly all-powerful. (As an aside, I didn’t like how in “American Betrayal” and/or the rebuttal to Radosh West referred to the American government during WWII as being “de facto occupied”. It felt like an excessive figure of speech, and now she’s applying the same phrase literally to the current government. At least she’s consistent.) So reversals like the Ukrainians’ overthrow of the neo-Soviet regime in 2014, the 8-year rule of Poland’s Law and Justice Party, the anti-communist libertarian Javier Milei coming to power in leftist Argentina – all these things cannot be explained. That’s why she seems to cast so much doubt on the notion that Ukraine’s fightback is a win for anti-communism. Too much negativity can make a person incapable of recognizing victory, instead mistaking it for another enemy trick. It’s very unfortunate. As a point of contrast, it’s amazing that Jeff, who has much more reason to be pessimistic given his decades-long study of communist subversion, has a more balanced view than West. As the saying goes, communists are not midgets, but they are not 10 feet tall either. Jeff’s post above is a great reminder of that.

        1. Laura: Yes. With communists there is always a “bungle factor” that often sets them back. Bungling is integral to every faulty philosophic view.

      2. The anti-Ukrainian turn of many of my conservative friends surprised me. I lost a lot of readers over it, too. I think they did not follow Ukrainian events closely and had no Ukrainian friends — or not the right ones. East European politics is a difficult subject to understand.

Full text: RFK, Jr.’s address to the nation

    https://www.worldtribune.com/full-text-rfk-jr-s-address-to-the-nation/

Sixteen months ago, in April 2023, I launched my campaign for President of the United States. I began this journey as a Democrat. The party of my father and my uncle, the party which I pledged my own allegiance to long before I was old enough to vote.

I attended my first Democratic convention at the age of six, in 1960. And back then, the Democrats were the champions of the Constitution and of civil rights. The Democrats stood against authoritarianism, against censorship, against colonialism, against imperialism, and against unjust wars. We were the party of labor, of the working class. The Democrats were the party of government transparency and the champion of the environment. Our party was the bulwark against big money interests and corporate power. True to its name, it was the party of democracy.

As you know, I left that party in October because it had departed so dramatically from the core values that I grew up with. It had become the party of war, censorship, corruption, big pharma, big tech, big AG, and big money.

When it abandoned democracy by canceling the primary to conceal the cognitive decline of the sitting president, I left the party to run as an independent. The mainstream of American politics and journalism derided my decision. Conventional wisdom said that it would be impossible even to get on the ballot as an independent, because each state imposes an insurmountable tangle of arbitrary rules for collecting signatures. I would need over a million signatures: something no presidential candidate in history had ever achieved. And then I’d need a team of attorneys and millions of dollars to handle all the legal challenges from the DNC. The naysayers told us we were climbing a glass version of Mt. Impossible.

So the first thing I want to tell you is that we proved them wrong. We did it because beneath the radar of mainstream media organs, we inspired a massive independent political movement. More than a hundred thousand volunteers sprang into action, hopeful that they could reverse our nation’s decline. Many worked ten-hour days, sometimes in blizzards and blazing heat, sacrificing family time, personal commitments and sleep, month after month, energized by a shared vision of a nation healed of its divisions. They set up tables at churches and farmers markets and campaigned door to door. In Utah and New Hampshire volunteers collected signatures in snowstorms convincing each supporter to stop in the frigid cold, to take off their gloves and to sign legibly during a heat wave in Nevada. A tall athletic volunteer cheerfully told me that he lost 25 lbs collecting signatures in 117-degree heat. To finance this effort, young Americans donated their lunch money and senior citizens gave up part of their Social Security checks. Our 50-state organization collected those million signatures and more.

No presidential campaign in American political history has ever done that. And so I want to thank all of those dedicated volunteers and congratulate the campaign staff who coordinated this enormous logistical feat. Your accomplishments were regarded as impossible. You carried me up that glass mountain. You pulled off a miracle. You achieved what all the pundits said could never be done. You have my deepest gratitude, and I’m never going to forget that. Not just for what you did for my campaign, but for the sacrifices you made, because you love our country. You showed everyone that democracy is still possible here. It continues to survive in the breadth of the idealistic human energies that still thrive beneath of a canvass of neglect and of official and institutional corruption.

Today, I’m here to tell you that I will not allow your efforts to go to waste. I’m here to tell you that I will leverage your tremendous accomplishments to serve the ideals that we share: the ideals of peace, of prosperity, of freedom, of health, all the ideals that motivated my campaign. I’m here today to describe the path forward you’ve opened with your commitment and with your hard labors.

In an honest system I believe that I would have won the election. In the system that my father and uncle thrived in. A system with open debates, with fair primaries and with a truly independent media untainted by government propaganda and censorship, and a system of nonpartisan courts, and election boards, everything would be different. After all, the polls consistently showed me beating each of the other candidates, both in favorability and in head-to-head match ups. But I’m sorry to say that while democracy may still be alive, at the grassroots, it has become little more than a slogan for our political institutions, for our media, and for our government, and most sadly at all, for me, for the Democratic Party.

In the name of saving democracy, a Democratic Party set itself to dismantle it. Lacking confidence that its candidate could win a fair election at the voting booth, the DNC waged continual legal warfare against both President Trump and myself. Each time that our volunteers turned in those towering boxes of the signatures needed to get on the ballot the DNC dragged us into court, state after state, attempting to erase their work, and to subvert the will of the voters who had signed those petitions. It deployed DNC-aligned judges to throw me and other candidates off the ballot and to throw President Trump in jail. It ran a sham primary that was rigged to prevent any serious challenge to President Biden. Then, when a predictably awful debate performance precipitated a palace coup against President Biden, the same shadowy DNC operatives appointed his successor, also without an election. They installed a candidate who was so unpopular with voters that she dropped out in 2020 without winning a single delegate.

My uncle and my father both relished debate. They prided themselves on their capacity to go toe to toe with any opponent in a battle of ideas. They would be astonished to learn of a Democratic Party presidential nominee who, like Vice President Harris, has not appeared in a single interview or an unscripted encounter with voters for 35 days. This is profoundly undemocratic. How are people to judge when they don’t know whom they are choosing? And how can this look to the rest of the world?

My uncle and my father both relished debate. They prided themselves on their capacity to go toe to toe with any opponent in a battle of ideas. They would be astonished to learn of a Democratic Party presidential nominee who, like Vice President Harris, has not appeared in a single interview or an unscripted encounter with voters for 35 days.

My father and my uncle were always conscious of America’s image abroad because of our nation’s role as the template for democracy, a role model for democratic processes and the leader of the free world. Instead of showing us her substance and character, the DNC and its media organs engineered a surge of popularity for Vice President Harris based on nothing. No policies, no interviews, no debates, only smoke and mirrors and balloons in a highly-produced circus. There, in Chicago, a string of Democratic speakers mentioned Donald Trump 147 times, just on the first day. Who needs a policy when you have Trump to hate? In contrast, at the RNC convention, President Biden was mentioned only twice in four days.

I do interviews every day. Many of you have interviewed me. Anybody who asks gets to interview me. Some days I do as many as ten. President Trump, who actually was nominated and won an election, also does interviews daily. How did the Democratic Party choose a candidate that has never done an interview or debate during the entire election cycle? We know the answers. It did it by weaponizing the government agencies. It did it abandoning democracy. It did it by suing the opposition, and by disenfranchising American voters.

What most alarms me isn’t how the Democratic Party conducts its internal affairs or runs its candidates. What alarms me is the resort to censorship, media control, and weaponization of the federal agencies. When a U.S. president colludes with, or outright coerces, media companies to censor political speech, it’s an attack on our most sacred right of free expression. And that’s the very right upon which all of our other constitutional rights rest.

President Biden mocked Vladimir Putin’s 88% landslide in the Russian elections, observing that Putin and his party controlled the Russian press and that Putin prevented serious opponents from appearing on the ballot. But here in America, the DNC also prevented opponents from appearing on the ballot. And our television networks expose themselves as Democratic Party organs. Over the course of more than a year in a campaign where my poll numbers reached at times in the high twenties, the DNC-allied mainstream media networks maintained a near-perfect embargo on interviews with me. During his ten-month presidential campaign in 1992, Ross Perot gave 34 interviews on mainstream networks. In contrast, during the sixteen months since I declared, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN, combined, gave only two live interviews from me. Those networks instead, they ran a continuous deluge, hit pieces with inaccurate, often vile pejoratives and defamatory smears. Some of those same networks then colluded with the DNC to keep me off the debate stage.

Representatives of those networks are in this room right now, and I’ll just take a moment to ask you to consider the many ways that your institutions have abdicated this really sacred responsibility. It’s the duty of a free press to safeguard democracy and to challenge always the party in power. Instead of maintaining that posture, of fierce skepticism toward authority, your institutions and media made themselves government mouthpieces and stenographers for the organs of power. You didn’t alone cause the devolution of American democracy, but you could have prevented it.

The Democratic Party’s censorship of social media was even more of a naked exercise of executive power. This week, a federal judge, Terry Doty, upheld my injunction against President Biden, calling the White House’s censorship project: “The most egregious violation of the First Amendment in the history of the United States of America.” His previous, 155-page decision details how, just 37 hours after he took the oath of office swearing to uphold the Constitution, President Biden and his White House opened up a portal, and invited the CIA, the FBI, CISA, which is a censorship agency, the center of the censorship-industrial complex, DHS, the IRS and other agencies to censor me and other political dissidents on social media.

Even today, users who try to post my campaign videos to Facebook and YouTube get messages that this content violates community standards. Two days after Judge Doty rendered his decision, this week, Facebook was still attaching warning labels to an online petition calling on ABC to include me in the upcoming debate. They said that violates their community standards.

The mainstream media was once the guardian of the First Amendment and democratic principles, but has since joined this systemic attack on democracy. Also, the media justifies their censorship on the grounds of combating misinformation, but governments and oppressors don’t censor lies, they don’t fear lies. They fear the truth, and that’s what they censor.

I don’t want any of this to sound like a personal complaint, because it’s not. For me, it’s all part of a journey, and it’s a journey I signed up for. But I need to make these observations because I think they’re critical for us doing the thing we need to do as citizens in a democracy to assess where we are in this country and what our democracy still looks like, and the assumptions about U.S. leadership around the globe. Are we really still a role model for democracy in this country? Or have we made it a kind of a joke?

Here’s the good news: although mainstream outlets denied me a critical platform, it didn’t shut down my ideas, which have especially flourished among young voters and independent voters, thanks to the alternative media.

Many months ago, I promised the American people that I would withdraw from the race if I became a spoiler and altered the outcome of the election, but I had no chance of winning. In my heart, I no longer believe that I have a realistic path of electoral victory in the face of this relentless, systematic censorship and media control. So I cannot in good conscience ask my staff and volunteers to keep working their long hours or ask my donors to keep giving, when I cannot honestly tell them that I have a real path to the White House. Furthermore, our polling consistently showed that by staying on the ballot in the battleground states, I would likely hand the election over to the Democrats, with whom I disagree on the most existential issues: censorship, war, and chronic disease.

Three great causes drove me to enter this race in the first place, primarily. And these are the principal causes that persuaded me to leave the Democratic Party and run as an independent, and now to throw my support to President Trump. The causes were: free speech, the war in Ukraine, and the war on our children.

I want everyone to know that I am not terminating my campaign. I am simply suspending it and not ending it. My name will remain on the ballot in most states. If you live in a blue state, you can vote for me without harming or helping President Trump or Vice President Harris. In red states, the same will apply. I encourage you to vote for me.

And if enough of you do vote for me, and neither of the major party candidates win 270 votes, which is quite possible, in fact, today our polling shows them tying at 269, and I could conceivably still end up in the White House in a contention election. But in about ten battleground states, where my presence would be a spoiler, I’m going to remove my name, and I’ve already started that process and urge voters not to vote for me.

It’s with a sense of victory and not defeat that I’m suspending my campaign activities. I didn’t think we’d do the impossible by collecting a million signatures. We changed the national political conversation forever. Chronic disease, free speech, government corruption, and breaking our addiction to war, have moved to the center of politics. And so I can say to all those who have worked so hard for the last year and a half, thank you for a job well done.

Three great causes drove me to enter this race in the first place, primarily. And these are the principal causes that persuaded me to leave the Democratic Party and run as an independent, and now to throw my support to President Trump. The causes were: free speech, the war in Ukraine, and the war on our children.

I’ve already described some of my personal experiences and struggles with the government’s censorship-industrial complex. I want to say a word about the Ukraine war. The military-industrial complex has provided us with that familiar comic book justification like they do on every war. And this one is a noble effort to stop a supervillain, Vladimir Putin, invading the Ukraine and to thwart his Hitler-like march across Europe.

In fact, tiny Ukraine is a proxy in a geopolitical struggle initiated by the ambitions of the US neocons for American global hegemony. I’m not excusing Putin for invading Ukraine. He had other options, but the war is Russia’s predictable response. The reckless neocon project of extending NATO to encircle Russia is a hostile act. The credulous media rarely explain to Americans that we unilaterally walked away from two intermediate nuclear weapons treaties with Russia and then put nuclear missile systems in Romania and Poland.

This is a hostile act, and the Biden White House repeatedly spurned Russia’s offer to settle this war peacefully. The Ukraine war began in 2014, when U.S. agencies overthrew the democratically elected government of Ukraine and installed a handpicked pro-Western government. They launched a deadly civil war against ethnic Russians in Ukraine. In 2019, America walked away from a peace treaty, the Minsk Agreement, that had been negotiated between Russia and Ukraine by European nations. And then in April of 2022, we wanted the war. In April 2022, President Biden sent Boris Johnson to Ukraine to force President Zelenskyy to tear up a peace agreement that he and the Russians had already signed. The Russians were withdrawing troops from Kiev, Donbas, and Luhansk. And that peace agreement would have brought peace to the region and would have allowed Donbas and Luhansk to remain part of Ukraine.

President Biden stated that month that his objective in the war was regime change in Russia. His defense secretary, Lloyd Austin, simultaneously explained that America’s purpose in the war was to exhaust the Russian army and to degrade its capacity to fight anywhere else in the world. These objectives, of course, had nothing to do with what they were telling Americans about protecting Ukraine’s sovereignty.

Ukraine is a victim in this war, and it is victim of the West… both Russia and the West. Since then, we have forced Zelenskyy to tear up the agreement, we’ve squandered the flower of Ukrainian youth. As many as 600,000 Ukrainian kids and over 100,000 Russian kids, all of whom we should be mourning, have died. And Ukraine’s infrastructure is destroyed.

War has been a disaster for our country, as well. We have squandered nearly $200 billion already. And these are badly needed dollars, with our communities suffering all over our country. The Nord Stream pipeline sabotage and the sanctions have destroyed Europe’s industrial base, which form the bulwark of U.S. national security. A strong Germany with a strong industry is a much, much stronger deterrent to Russia than a Germany that is de-industrialized and turned into just an extension of a U.S. military base.

We’ve pushed Russia into a disastrous alliance with China and Iran. We are closer to the brink of nuclear exchange than at any time since 1962. And the neocons in the White House don’t seem to care at all. Our moral authority and our economy are in shambles, and the war gave rise to the emergence of BRICS, which now threatens to replace the dollar as a global reserve currency.

This is a first-class calamity for our country. Judging by the bellicose, belligerent speech last night in Chicago, we can assume that President Harris will be an enthusiastic advocate for this and other neocon military adventures. President Trump says he will reopen negotiations with President Putin and end the war overnight as soon as he becomes President. This alone would justify my support for his campaign.

Last summer, it looked like no candidate was willing to negotiate a quick end to the Ukraine war, to tackle the chronic disease epidemic, to protect free speech and our constitutional freedoms, clean corporate influence out of our government, or defy the neocons and their agenda of endless military adventurism. But now one of the two candidates has adopted these issues as his own, to the point where he has asked to enlist me in his administration. I’m speaking, of course, of Donald Trump.

Less than two hours after President Trump narrowly escaped assassination, Calley Means called me on my cell phone. I was in Las Vegas. Calley is arguably the leading advocate for food safety, for soil regeneration, and for ending the chronic disease epidemic that is destroying America’s health and ruining our economy. Calley has exposed the insidious corruption at the FDA, the NIH, the HHS, and the USDA that has caused the epidemic.

Calley had been working on and off for my campaign and advising me on subjects since the beginning. Those subjects have been my primary focus for the last 20 years. I was delighted when Calley told me that he had also been advising President Trump. He told me that President Trump was anxious to talk to me about chronic disease and other subjects and to explore avenues of cooperation. Then he asked if I would take a call from the president.

President Trump telephoned me a few minutes later, and I met with him the following day. A few weeks later, I met again with President Trump and his family members and close advisers in Florida. And in a series of long, intense discussions, I was surprised to discover that we are aligned on many key issues. And in those meetings he suggested that we join forces as a unity party.

We talked about Abraham Lincoln’s team of rivals. That arrangement would allow us to disagree publicly and privately and fiercely, if need be, on issues over which we differ, and also work together on the existential issues upon which we are in concordance. I was a ferocious critic of many of the policies during his first administration, and there are still issues and approaches upon which we continue to have very serious differences.

Today we spend more on healthcare than any country on Earth, twice what they pay in Europe. And yet we have the worst health outcomes of any nation in the world. We’re about 79th in health outcomes, behind Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Mongolia and other countries. Nobody has a chronic disease burden like we have.

But we are aligned with each other on other key issues, like ending of forever wars, ending the childhood disease epidemics, securing the border, protecting freedom of speech, unraveling the corporate capture of our regulatory agencies, and getting the U.S. intelligence agencies out of the business of propagandizing and censoring and surveilling Americans and interfering with our elections. Following my first discussion with President Trump, I tried unsuccessfully to open similar discussions with Vice President Harris. Vice President Harris declined to meet or even to speak with me.

Suspending my candidacy is a heart-rending decision for me. But I am convinced that it is the best hope for ending the Ukraine war, for ending the chronic disease epidemic that is eroding our nation’s vitality from the inside, and for finally protecting free speech. I feel a moral obligation to use this opportunity to save millions of American children, above all things.

In case some of you don’t realize how dire the condition is or children’s health and chronic diseases in general. I would urge you to view Tucker Carlson’s recent interview with Calley Means and his sister, Doctor Casey Means, who was the top graduate of her class at Stanford Medical School. This is an issue that affects all of us far more directly and urgently than any culture war issue as well as all the other issues that we obsess over that are tearing apart our country. This is the most important issue. Therefore, it has the potential to bring us together. So let me share a little bit about why I believe it’s so urgent.

During the COVID epidemic, we had the highest body count of any country in the world. We had 16% of the COVID deaths even though we only have 4.2% of the world’s population.

The CDC says that’s because we are the sickest people on earth. We have the highest chronic disease rate on earth, and the average American who died from COVID had on average 3.8 chronic diseases. So these were people who had immune system collapse, who had mitochondrial dysfunction. And no other country has anything like this. Two-thirds of American adults and children suffer from chronic health issues. Fifty years ago that number was less than 1%. So we’ve gone from 1% to 66%. In America, 74% of Americans are now overweight or obese, including 50% of our children. One-hundred and twenty years ago, when somebody was obese, they were sent to the circus. There were case reports about them. Obesity is almost unknown. In Japan, the childhood obesity rate is 3% compared to our 50%.

Here, half of Americans have prediabetes or type two diabetes. When my uncle was president, when I was a boy, juvenile diabetes was effectively nonexistent. A typical pediatrician would see one case of diabetes during his entire 40 or 50-year career. Today, one out of every three kids who walks to his office is diabetic or prediabetic, and the mitochondrial disorder that causes diabetes is also causing Alzheimer’s, which is now classified as diabetes. And it’s costing this country more than our military budget every year. There’s been an explosion of neurological illnesses that I never saw as a kid. ADD, ADHD, speech delay, language delay, Tourette’s syndrome, narcolepsy, ASD, Asperger’s, autism. In the year 2000, the autism rate was 1 in 1,500. Now autism rates in kids are 1 in 36, according to the CDC. Nobody’s talking about how 1 in every 22 kids in California has autism, and this is a crisis that 77% of our kids are too disabled to serve in the United States military.

What is happening to our country, and why isn’t this in the headlines every single day? There’s nobody else in the world that is experiencing it. This is only happening in America. And by the way, there has been no change in diagnosis, which the industry sometimes likes to say to say there has been no change in screening. This is a change in incidence. In my generation, seventy-year-old men, the odds and rate are about 1 in 10,000. And in my kids generation, 1 in 34… I repeat, in California, 1 in 22. Why are we letting this happen? Why are we allowing this to happen to our children? These are the most precious assets that we have in this country. How can we let this happen to them?

About 18% of American teens have fatty liver disease. That’s like one out of every five. That disease, when I was a kid, only affected late-stage alcoholics who were elderly. Cancer rates are skyrocketing in the young and the old. Young adult cancers are up 79%, and one in four American women is on antidepressant medication, 40% of teens have a mental health diagnosis, 15% of high schoolers are on Adderall, and half a million children are on SSRIs.

Ultimately, the future, however it happens, is in God’s hands and in the hands of American voters and in those of President Trump. If President Trump is elected and honors his word, the vast burden of chronic disease that now demoralizes and bankrupts the country will disappear. This is a spiritual journey for me. I reached my decision through deep prayer, through hard-nosed logic ….

So what’s causing this suffering? I’ll name two culprits. First and the worst is ultra-processed foods. 70% of American children’s diet is ultra-processed, which means industrially manufactured in a factory. These foods consist primarily of processed sugar, ultra-processed grains, and seed oils. Laboratory scientists, many of whom formerly worked for the cigarette industry which purchased all the big food companies in the 1970s and ‘80s, deployed thousands of scientists to invent new chemicals to make the food more addictive. And these ingredients didn’t exist a hundred years ago, humans aren’t biologically adapted to eat them. Hundreds of these chemicals are now banned in Europe. But they are ubiquitous in American processed foods.

The second culprit is toxic chemicals in our food, our medicine, and our environment. Pesticides, food additives, pharmaceutical drugs and toxic waste permeate every cell of our bodies. This assault on our children’s cells and hormones is unrelenting. And to name just one problem: many of these chemicals increase estrogen. Because young children are ingesting so many of these hormone disruptors, America’s puberty rate is now occurring at age 10 to 13, which is six years earlier than girls were reaching puberty in 1900. Our country has the earliest puberty rates of any continent on the earth. And no, this isn’t because of better nutrition. This is not normal. Breast cancer is also estrogen-driven and now strikes 1 in 8 women. We are mass poisoning all of our children and our adults.

Considering the grievous human cause of this tragic epidemic of chronic disease, it seems almost crass to mention the damage it does to our economy. But I’ll say: it is crippling the nation’s finances. When my uncle was president, our country spent $0 on chronic disease. Today, government healthcare spending is almost all for chronic disease, and it’s double the military budget, and it is the fastest growing budget item in the federal budget. Chronic disease costs more to the economy as a whole, at least 4 trillion dollars, five times our military budget. And that’s a 20% drag on everything we do, and everything we aspire to. Poor and minority communities suffer disproportionately. People worry about DEI or about bigotry of any kind. This dwarfs anything. We are poisoning the poor, we are systematically poisoning minorities across this country.

Industry lobbyists have made sure that most of the food stamp lunch program, about 70% of food stamps, and 70 or 77% of school lunches are processed foods. There’s no vegetables. There’s nothing that you would want to eat. We are just poisoning the poor citizens. And that’s why they have the highest chronic disease burden of any demographic in our country and the highest in the world. The same food industry lobbied to make sure that nearly all agricultural subsidies go to commodity crops that are the feedstock of processed food industry. These policies are destroying small farms and they’re destroying our soils.

We give about eight times as much in subsidies to tobacco than we do to fruits and vegetables. It makes no sense if we want a healthy country. The good news is that we can change all this, and we can change it very, very quickly. America can get healthy again. To do that, we need to do three things: first, we need to root out the corruption in our health agencies. Second, we need to change the incentives in our healthcare system. And third, we need to inspire Americans to get healthy again. 80% of NIH grants go to people who have conflicts of interest. These are the people… virtually everybody who Joe Biden just appointed to a new panel at the NIH to decide food recommendations, they’re all people who are from the industry, they are all people who are from the processed food companies. They’re deciding what Americans hear is healthy: the recommendations on the food pyramid, what goes to our school lunch programs, what goes to the food stamp programs, they’re all corrupted and conflicted individuals.

These agencies, the FDA, the USDA, CDC, all of them are controlled by giant for-profit corporations. 75% of the FDA funding doesn’t come from taxpayers. It comes from pharma. And pharma executives and consultants and lobbyists cycle in and out of these agencies. With President Trump’s backing, I’m going to change that. We’re going to staff these agencies with honest scientists and doctors who are free from industry funding. We’re going to make sure the decisions of consumers, doctors, and patients are informed by unbiased science. A sick child is the best thing for the pharmaceutical industry. When American children or adults are sick with a chronic condition, they’re put on medication for their entire life.

Imagine what happens when Medicare starts paying for Ozempic which costs 1,500 dollars a month, and that’s being recommended for children as young as six over a condition, obesity, that is completely preventable and barely even existed a hundred years ago. Since 74% of Americans are obese, the cost if all of them took their Ozempic prescription is $3 trillion a year. This is a drug that has made Novo Nordisk, the biggest company in Europe – it’s a Danish company, and the Danish government does not recommend it. It recommends a change in diet to treat obesity, and exercise. In our country, the recommendation now is for Ozempic to children as young as age six. Novo Nordisk is the biggest company in Europe, and virtually its entire value is based upon its projections of what Ozempic is going to sell to America.

And we have the food lobbyist… We have a bill in front of Congress today that is backed by the White House, backed by Vice President Harris and President Biden, to allow this to happen. This $3 trillion cause is going to bankrupt our country. For a fraction of that amount we could buy organic food for every American family, three meals a day, and eliminate diabetes altogether.

We’re going to bring healthy food back to school lunches. We’re going to stop subsidizing the worst foods with our agricultural subsidies. We’re going to get toxic chemicals out of our food. We’re going to reform the entire food system. And for that, we need new leadership in Washington, because unfortunately, both the Democrats and the Republican parties are in cahoots with the big food producers, Big Pharma and Big AG, which are among the DNC’s major donors.

Vice President Harris has expressed no interest in addressing this issue. Four more years of Democratic rule will complete the consolidation of corporate and Neocon power, and our children will be the ones who suffer most. I got involved with chronic disease 20 years ago, not because I chose or wanted to. It was essentially thrust upon me; it was an issue that should have been central to the environmental movement. I was an essential leader at the time. But it was widely ignored by all the institutions including the NGOs who should have been protecting our kids against toxins. It was an orphaned issue, and I have a weakness for orphans. I watched generations of children get sicker and sicker. I had 11 siblings and I have 7 kids myself. I was conscious of what was happening in their classrooms and to their friends. And I watched sick kids, these damaged kids in that generation, almost all of them were damaged and nobody in power seemed to care or to even notice.

For 19 years I prayed every morning that God would put me in a position to end this calamity. The chronic disease crisis was one of the primary reasons for my running for president along with ending the censorship and the Ukraine war. It’s the reason I’ve made the heart-wrenching decision to suspend my campaign and to support President Trump. This decision is agonizing for me because of the difficulties it causes my wife, and my children, and my friends, but I have the certainty that this is what I’ve meant to do, and that certainty gives me internal peace, even in storms.

If I’m given the chance to fix the chronic disease crisis and reform our food production, I promise that within two years we will watch the chronic disease burden lift dramatically. We will make Americans healthy again. Within four years America will be a healthy country. We will be stronger, more resilient, more optimistic and happier. I won’t fail in doing this.

Ultimately, the future, however it happens, is in God’s hands and in the hands of American voters and in those of President Trump. If President Trump is elected and honors his word, the vast burden of chronic disease that now demoralizes and bankrupts the country will disappear. This is a spiritual journey for me. I reached my decision through deep prayer, through hard-nosed logic, and I asked myself what choices must I make to maximize my chances to save America’s children and restore national health.

I felt that if I refused this opportunity, I would not be able to look myself in the mirror, knowing that I could have saved the lives of countless children and reversed this country’s chronic disease epidemic. I’m 70 years old. I may have a decade to be effective. I can’t imagine that a President Harris would allow me or anyone to solve these dire problems.

After eight years of a President Harris, any opportunity for me to fix the problem will be out of my reach forever. President Trump has told me that he wants this to be his legacy. I’m choosing to believe that this time he will follow through. His son, his biggest donors, his closest friends, all support this objective. My joining the Trump campaign will be a difficult sacrifice for my wife and children, but worthwhile if there’s even a small chance of saving these kids.

Ultimately, the only thing that will save our country and our children is if we choose to love our kids more than we hate each other. That’s why I launched my campaign, to unify America. My dad and uncle made such an enduring mark on the character of our nation, not so much because of any particular policies that they promoted, but because they were able to inspire profound love for our country and to fortify our sense of ourselves as a national community held together by ideals.

They were able to put their love into the intentions and hearts of ordinary Americans and to unify a national populist movement of Americans – blacks and whites, Hispanics, urban and rural Americans. They inspired affection, love, and high hopes, and a culture of kindness that continued to radiate among Americans from their memory.

That’s the spirit on which I ran my campaign and that I intend to bring into the campaign of President Trump. Instead of vitriol and polarization, I will appeal to the values and goals that we could achieve if only we weren’t at each other’s throats. The most unifying theme for all Americans is that we all love our children. If we all unite around that issue now, we can finally give them the protection, the health, and the future that they deserve. Thank you all very much.

Zuckerberg admits Biden-Harris regime pressured Facebook to censor Covid content

by WorldTribune Staff, August 27, 2024

  32. Since the beginning of time it is the spirit of the anti-Christ that is at work in all those who are disobedient to the Lord. Their father is the devil, the father of lies, deception and destruction. And what can you expect from them? Nothing!…they are merely the walking dead, no life in them.
Those that are the children of God, have the spirit of truth and life living in them and they are helped, comforted, counseled, guided and strengthened to do what’s right and pleasing the Lord ( 16:7). The Holy Spirit enables us to reflect Christs character, to love like Him and to serve Him alone.
If you know the word of God but you don’t have the Holy Spirit, you can’t do what God needs you to do, you will be deceived.
Nobody knows the day or hour the Lord will return but we are closer than ever before, so be ready if he comes today but prepare like it could be 100 years away.
Live in the present, God is a present God, join Him where he is working today.
Most times God doesn’t do what we think is going to happen, His ways and thoughts are higher than ours. God has a plan and in that plan He hopes that none will perish.
This is the time of great deceptions so don’t depend on others for the truth, do your own research and know the word of God for yourselves.
The root of all our sin is unbelief in the sovereignty, faithfulness and goodness of God. Strive diligently to keep unbelief out!
It is not in our estates, positions, bank accounts or whose in office, where all is well, it is in our souls where all is well. May your soul prosper, may all be well in your soul.
    God Bless,
    Thank you Jeff!
