With global temperatures rising inexorably, some scientists and national security theorists have pondered cooling things down by tinkering mechanically with the planet’s climate.
Clyde Haberman, New York Times
April 3, 2016
The New York Times, in the article quoted from (above), brought together two hoaxes: The headline reads, “Global Warming Gives Science Behind Nuclear Winter a New Purpose.” What this story does not tell, is how Soviet scientists were tasked by the KGB with promoting the theory that nuclear war leads “inexorably” to “Nuclear Winter” (in the same sense that capitalism leads “inexorably” to global warming).
Vladimir Valentinovich Alexandrov (b. 1938), a Soviet mathematician and computer scientist, was tasked by the KGB (via his boss, Evgeny Velikhov). with creating a mathematical model to substantiate nuclear winter theory. He was chosen for this assignment because he was part of a research exchange program with the Americans, operating from 1978-1982.
According to Richard P. Turco and Starely L. Thompson, the resulting global climate model was “a very weak piece of work.” Of course, they revised their criticism later when the political consensus-building began and scientists started losing grant money for holding “the wrong “incorrect” opinions on politically-charged topics. According to an article in National Review Magazine in 1986, Alexandrov changed sides and revealed the bogus nature of his nuclear winter climate models. Then, on 31 March 1985, while attending the Second International Conference of Nuclear Free Zones in Cordoba, Spain, Alexandrov disappeared forever. He was described, by one associate, as being dragged off in a car and taken to the Soviet Embassy.
Is any of this familiar or credible? According to KGB defector Sergie Tretyakov, “The KGB was responsible for creating the entire nuclear winter story to stop the Pershing II missiles.” The fraudulent science of nuclear winter, added Tretyakov, was fed to Western scientists and peace activists.
If the reader goes online to search for this groundbreaking information online, all you will find is nuclear winter propaganda. The lid is closed tight on this story and nobody is supposed to guess the truth. I offer the Alexandrov story, and Tretyakov’s testimony, in order to show how our perceptions are managed by our enemy, and how our ideas about nuclear war — above all — are targeted by that same enemy.
Here is my discussion on nuclear war with Alex Benesch.

Nuclear War Survival Skills – Cresson H. Kearny’s book is lifesaving. A true classic. And as such archive.org is making it available: https://archive.org/details/NuclearWarSurvivalSkills_201405/
Yes! This is one of the best books for understanding the effects of radiation and protective measures.
Yes! I have that book!
I’ll have to download that one.
Thanks for the reference, I just downloaded it.
I find it is ironic that we currently face a global cooling.

In the case of Ukraine, Seymour Hersh (a long time communist who brought Angleton down) disclosed that the West will abandon Ukraine. Gosh! Now, Russian communists will accelerate the plan to totally dominate Europe through non-military means with Chinese. This means using bribes and economic coercion from the territorial gains in Ukraine to hurt Europe into submission.
In old videos from Guo Wengui, he said that if this guy is appointed into the PLA that means Taiwan invasion is inevitable.
https://twitter.com/NFSCSpeak/status/1719062879796703366
Russia invaded Ukraine in Feb 2022, so it is likely that China will conquer Taiwan in Feb 2024.
We face neither global cooling nor global warming.
Global temps rise and fall depending on the amount of solar energy the earth receives. They have been falling as solar output as waned recently. The temps do not vary nearly as much as the warming propagandists tell us.
I do not trust Miles Guo. The fact he is still alive is suspicious. He could be a plant designed to lead people astray. We’ve always known the “lightning strike” is aimed at the US. So if anything, it’s the US that should be worried.
Guo Wengui has miraculously got many thing rights. His old videos in 2022 predicted that Iran will try something ugly against Israel. I remembered that he said the PLA will supply Iran with drone technology and balloons. Yes, the same space balloon that panicked the US last year. Guo Wengui said that the PLA has millions of them with lethal weapons that can be released into the US at any time. Shooting each of them down costs 2 million dollars, now imagine a million of them but can be armed with bio or chem weapons.
Guo has many detractors who think he is a false defector. We should be careful.
Russia needs boots on the ground to enforce European submission, just like they did with eastern Europe. So forget non-military means. Western Europe is starting to wake up, is it in time? Or will it be “too little too late” as it was at the beginning of World War II?
As for the CCP invading Taiwan, again forget it. If I were a Chinese general, I would hype up an invasion of Taiwan as much as I could, while in reality preparing to take out the U.S. Taiwan would be easy to bring to its knees by blockade after the U.S. is out of the picture. But to take out the U.S. would require all the forces that China can spare. Therefore no need to use up military forces on Taiwan before “the problem of the U.S.” is finished.
Xeno Man sounds like a communist troll.
Russians will bring the Chinese, North Koreans, and Muslims to enforce their rules over Europe. It is not unrealistic since Europe’s border is widely opened. The only thing is left to arm migrants with weapons to depopulate the rebellious Europeans. I suspect it could happen very soon if the matter in Israel-Palestine erupt.
You didn’t watch the videos of Guo Wengui. He said specifically that Taiwan won’t be brought down by a Chinese invasion alone but Taiwanese traitors who will stage a coup to invite the PLA into Taiwan.
I’ve always thought Xeno Man was an obvious Kommie disinfo agent.
Why make disparaging comments about another person posting?
I recently emailed my US Senator (Josh Hawley) to tell him to stop speaking against aid to Ukraine. I just finished reading an op-ed piece dated 29Nov2023 by Marc A. Thiessen in which he reveals that both Hawley and US Representative Jason Smith (Missouri) have both voted to reject aid to Ukraine even when this aid provides much needed jobs to many of their own constituents.
We have a small town here (West Plains, Missouri) that employs many workers “to build the MIM-104 Phased Array Tracking Radar” for the Patriot missile system that shocked the world this year by downing Russia’s supposedly ‘invincible’ hypersonic missile.”
These two guys are clueless and so illustrative of elected officials we end up sending to DC.
Good on you for writing to your senator.
It seems that opposing Ukraine, and thereby supporting Russia, has become an article of faith with some Republicans. Even when it goes against MAGA principles like supporting American jobs. I wonder if there is more at work behind the scenes than just the standard pro-Russian propaganda that has infected large parts of conservative media. Somebody may be whispering in their ears or giving them incentives to follow the Moscow party line.
Interestingly, although American public support for arming Ukraine has slipped a little in since May it is still higher than support for weapons to Israel –41% vs 31%. This is something given that coverage of the Ukraine war has dropped off so much in the last 2 months. It could be that people have grown weary of war coverage in general, whether Ukraine or the Middle East. But the narrowing of the gap between the percentages for and against Ukraine is worrying. I think the main reason for that is because the national security interest is never explained to the public by the media or the Biden administration.

Olena Goncharova October 6, 2023
Support for supplying weapons to Ukraine is diminishing among Americans from both major political parties, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.
The two-day poll, which concluded on Oct. 4, revealed that only 41% of respondents agreed with the statement that Washington “should provide weapons to Ukraine,” while 35% disagreed, and the remainder were uncertain.
Perhaps more important than the weapons is the non-military aid. Without that, the Ukrainian economy and government collapse. This worries me as well. Ukraine has been economically devastated by the war and the block of her Black Sea access by the Russian fleet.
I think the difference re Ukraine v Israel owes to democrat support for Ukraine. Agree the problem is the public not being informed about the national security interest and nearly everyone seems blind to the broader aggression amassing around us. People see it really as a moral question, balanced against the question of whether we can afford to help – not one of vital interest let alone our own survival. Dems think morality outweighs cost re Ukraine, republicans worried about cost. Many if not most dems support Palestine so morality cuts the other way re Israel; republican opinions re Israel more varied (though probably none are pro-Palestine, just varied on what role U.S. should play).
The largely democrat group that wants to continue support for Ukraine isn’t any better informed than the largely republican group who oppose it, sadly.
This is an interesting point. National security policy, and good strategy, is not about morality even if morality plays a part in our security decisions. It is primarily about our survival as a nation. People think their nation is either evil, unnecessary, or guaranteed to continue existing. Too many people today moralize smugly supposing that their existence is secure. Well, it is not secure at all. Because their are regimes that want nuclear weapons and dream of blasting us with them. I say this, and it is not an exaggeration. We are losing the sense to discuss international issues intelligently. This is deeply troubling because this lost sense pervades our elites. I get the feeling these guys cheated in school, or did not learn much, or were taught the wrong things.

Do you support printing more US Dollars out of nothing, in order to support Ukraine? How do you feel about room and board for illegal immigrants while American veterans sleep under blue plastic tarps draped between stolen shopping carts?
How did you honestly expect the police action in Ukraine to end up in the first place?
There is no police action in Ukraine. There is a Russian invasion, which threatens to continue on into Europe. To defend Ukraine with a few dollars is cheaper than fighting a world war, don’t you think? If Russia breaks through here, China will be freed up even as Russia is free to attack us. Do you understand? The border being open is sabotage from our compromised government. They want Ukraine defeated, so they can blame the dumb Republicans. The “Stupid Party,” which is itching to be blamed and gutted.
“The border being open is sabotage from our compromised government… The “Stupid Party,” which is itching to be blamed and gutted.”
Yes, it now seems the border crisis was deliberately exacerbated to lead the easily-led Republicans to abandon Ukraine. It is like waving a red flag in front of a bull. And so we get the endlessly repeated slogan “We have to defend our own borders, not Ukraine’s!” Yes, the infiltration through the Mexican border of drug cartels and enemy agents is definitely a problem, but it is still a slow-drip problem not a massive armed invasion. That invasion can only come after the US’s nuclear arsenal is destroyed in a massive first strike, so from that standpoint even a well-defended border wall would not stop a Russian/Chinese invasion. It would be hard to defend the border anyway if the US is short on ammunition because it didn’t increase production capacity in time. Just look at the millions of shells used up in the Ukraine war, could a simple wall withstand such bombardment? But the border is all you hear about with conservatives, even though it is but one small component of continental defense in an age of ICBMs and hypersonic missiles. It’s like the Communists are using one simple, easy-to-grasp issue to cover up and distract from more important and complex issues that cannot be reduced to fit on a bumper sticker.
It’s an odd thing. I guess we cannot help Ukraine with ammunition because we are building that border wall with howitzer shells.

The United States already grants Israel $3.3B per year in foreign aid. I think that’s more than sufficient to cover IDF clearing out Hamas. Whereas Ukraine is an endless hemorrhage of improvisational budgeting of blank checks.
Re: …”Russian invasion, which threatens to continue on into Europe.”…
Europe has nukes. What’s the difference between what the United States would do if Russia attacked the US, or what Europe would do if Russia were to attack the EU or Great Britain? Why should Americans foot the bill for Europe and England? If NATO members need more nukes, let them buy some of ours, but I’m not buying any for them; especially not France and Germany, who stabbed US in the back during Desert Storm.
Europe has very few nuclear weapons, and Russia has the capability of destroying those nukes, except the small number of British submarine-launch nukes. And those have not been tested in over thirty years. Some experts believe British and French nukes do not work.
Another great interview, Jeff. Thanks for all the work you do.

As we enter the next ice age, it becomes clear that the false narrative, disinformation, spin, propaganda, and lies about climate change (global warming), concurrent with open borders and construction of a wall, is to misdirect attention to the agenda of vacating Mediterranean, Sub Tropical, Tropical, and Equatorial lands, in order for the elite to migrate to, while trapping the unwary in the ice and cold.
Buy your cheap land in Central America, before it’s all taken by shrewd connivers.
Dr James DeLuze has a patent for nuclear fusion, taking the proven prototype from Lawrence Livermore, a D/C reactor, and makes if A/C. DeLuze has numerous inventions which utilize nuclear fusion, including the patent for sucking CO2 out of the atmosphere and jettisoning it into Outerspace. Fortunately, in order to implement that function, international treaties which prohibit sending waste products into Outerspace would have to be rescinded, because the only thing keeping us from currently being in an ice age, according to Nature Magazine, is the insulating factor of greenhouse gasses in Earth’s atmosphere.
I just finished reading Comrade J and highly recommend it, especially if you “support” Russia and think Putin is a good dude.
Indeed. Putin’s little murderers with their kill lists are described in the book. Their complaint was, how can we kill so many people?
Jeff Nyquist: “People think their nation is either evil, unnecessary, or guaranteed to continue existing.”
Yes, I think this sums up why the discussion of the Ukraine war and of the Chinese military build-up is so lacking.
Visitor above is right that both the Israel and Ukraine wars are framed only in terms of morality and cost, with Dems and Republicans favoring one or the other for essentially the same underlying reasons. As Jeff has long argued, Westerners are blinded by material comfort and decades of Communist disinformation that has given them a false picture of reality. We are at the point that Yuri Bezmenov warned about in 1983 (link below) where most people cannot see the danger even when it is staring them in the face.

In this interview guest Dr. Justin Bronk explains how the Ukraine war is being wrongly framed to the public. He briefly touches on the idea of a two-front war in Europe and Asia which very few people in the mainstream media discuss as being a real possibility.
Justin Bronk on the Fate of the West if Russia Wins in Ukraine – Nov 22, 2023
Starting at 34min: Ukraine’s current rate of consumption of ammunition is not sustainable. The US has taken steps to invest in the expansion of ammunition production and Europe should do the same. The problem is that aid for Ukraine being decided in a short time period to cover a short time period rather than working on the assumption that this is going to be a long war that requires a sustainable strategy. Such a strategy means increasing munitions, vehicles and military equipment production which means creating new skilled manufacturing jobs in the US (and Europe). But this case is rarely made by politicians and the coverage of Ukraine military aid in the media gives the impression that they are getting stuff for free rather than investment in increased production being beneficial to Western economies and long-term security.
The danger of not investing in defense right now is great given the Chinese military build-up in East Asia. He implies that if war erupts in the Pacific then Russia will have an incentive to push further into Europe because they know the US does not have the capacity to supply its allies in a two-front war.
45:18 “The danger is we get to a point in two to three years time with the US tied up in Indo Pacific where Europe suddenly has very little and at that point you have a rearmed Russia. A very embittered Russia, a very battle-hardened Russia and suddenly a very vulnerable Europe… All our solutions are still three years away if we pull the lever now because it takes two to three years to do anything in defense.”
Ward Carroll also makes an interesting comment here.
52:32 “Why don’t [politicians] just frame it as it’s jobs. I think there’s something about the Vietnam era where to say that making bombs is good for us, there’s a problem in the public psyche with that… you’re not seeing even the districts that would benefit talking about that overtly…”
56min on the idea of Western powers forcing Ukraine to make concessions to Russia to end the war. [paraphrase]
“Russia is a country that has taken 300,000 plus casualties and 200,000 seriously wounded. They are not deterred by that…They are not going to be bought off by anything that the West can force Ukraine to give up. All you would get is a three to six month month pause for which you would have to trade away all sorts of things from operational initiative, to positions, to territorial integrity to the entire unity of the Western Alliance… all of that would have to be traded away to get a brief ceasefire during which the Russians would simply do what they did in Syria, Georgia and in Chechnya. Get a ceasefire for just long enough to get fully set up for the next phase of offensive operations.”
I forgot to point out that, of course, Bronk only talks about the possibility of a two-front conventional war far away from the US homeland. The idea of a nuclear attack on the US or a nuclear war in general is not mentioned at all. Making the case for all this will be a hard hill to climb in terms of influencing public opinion.
“Making the case for all this will be a hard hill to climb in terms of influencing public opinion.” I feel like Jeremiah, nobody that I know believes me. I mention the speech by General Chi Hautien, the smuggled and stashed weapons, the hundreds if not thousands of Chinese of military age coming across the border, etc. and I get a response of disbelief. Absolute disbelief.
Their sheltered world of media happiness does not include harsh facts about enemy war preparations.
If the US fails at a conventional war, imagine what the nuclear balance then signifies…. Who has thought this through?
How is it logical to assume that Russia would engage in a conventional war with the United States? Sure, proxy wars abound. As long as the battles are all in other peoples’ countries, why not? Is it realistic to believe that any direct confrontation of the US and Russia attacking inside one another’s borders would remain conventional for more than a few minutes?
No. It would be involve nuclear.
A bad manner spoils everything, even reason and justice; a good one supplies everything, gilds a No, sweetens a truth, and adds a touch of beauty to old age itself.
Baltasar Gracián
From the Art of Worldly Wisdom. A book I used to carry around with me.
This has nothing to do with the topic, but I wanted to bring it up anyway: The godless communists in Brussels want to abolish Christmas!!!
EU Commissioner wanted to abolish “Christmas” – Because of discrimination
Who doesn’t know them? Malika and Julio, who watch over the baby Jesus in the stable in Bethlehem and receive a visit from the shepherds and the wise men from the East. While generations of Christians still believed that the Messiah’s secular parents were called Mary and Joseph, this should now be a thing of the past. At least if a so-called “guideline” from the EU Commission for equality had prevailed.
Its head, EU Commissioner Helena Dalli from Malta, is calling for the abolition of supposedly under-inclusive terms such as “Christmas” or “Mary and Joseph”. These and other terms would exclude all non-Christians living in Europe. It should therefore be called “vacation season” instead of “Christmas season” or “Mary and Joseph” should become “Malika and Julio”.
With the proposed changes, the EU wanted to show all people living in Europe that they are valued and “recognized” “regardless of gender, skin color, religion and ethnicity”. This choice of words alone – “people living in Europe” – gives an idea of what this is all about.
After all, hardly any Europeans would be unfamiliar with the Christmas story and the terms used in it, let alone feel discriminated against. In fact, hardly any other event has shaped the Christian West as much as the birth of Jesus. And this is not even about the very individual (faith) question of whether it all really happened as it has been handed down.
Above all, the justification for changing the names of Mary and Joseph makes us sit up and take notice. The guide calls for them to be replaced by “more European names”. However, “Malika” actually comes from Arabic and means “queen”.
The Maltese woman is unlikely to find a much more European name like Maria. It is, of course, anything but a coincidence that this female first name is still one of the most common today, especially in Catholic countries and regions.

White House warns Congress of urgent need for Ukraine war funding, saying, ‘We are out of money — and nearly out of time’:
In a blunt letter, Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young told congressional leaders that the United States will run out of funding for weapons and other assistance by the end of the year — a scenario that would “kneecap” Ukraine in its war with Russia. The letter comes as a Biden administration request for nearly $106 billion for Ukraine, Israel and other needs remains stalled on Capitol Hill. “There is no magical pot of funding available to meet this moment,” Young said.

White House warns Congress of urgent need for Ukraine funding
‘We are out of money to support Ukraine in this fight,’ Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young said in a letter to congressional leaders
By Maegan Vazquez
December 4, 2023 at 8:35 a.m. EST
The White House issued an urgent warning to Congress on Monday about the need for additional aid for Ukraine’s war with Russia, with Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young bluntly writing in a letter to congressional leaders that the United States is “out of money to support Ukraine in this fight.”
Keeping up with politics is easy with The 5-Minute Fix Newsletter, in your inbox weekdays.
In the letter, Young wrote that “without congressional action, by the end of the year we will run out of resources to procure more weapons and equipment for Ukraine and to provide equipment from U.S. military stocks.”
“There is no magical pot of funding available to meet this moment. We are out of money — and nearly out of time,” she added, emphasizing that Congress must decide whether “we continue to fight for freedom across the globe or we ignore the lessons we have learned from history and let [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and autocracy prevail.”
A Biden administration request for nearly $106 billion for Ukraine, Israel and other needs remains stalled on Capitol Hill.
The White House has faced difficulty garnering support from Republicans for continued aid to Ukraine, with GOP members of the House and Senate expressing skepticism over the scale of the funding and how it has been allocated. Republicans have sought to tie U.S.-Mexico border policy changes to the aid negotiations.
The Biden administration request includes roughly $61 billion for Ukraine, $14 billion for Israel, roughly $14 billion for immigration priorities and $10 billion for humanitarian aid, as well as more funding to counter China’s influence in Asia and the developing world.
Without congressional action to continue the flow of U.S. military equipment and resources to Ukraine, Young wrote, the United States would “kneecap Ukraine on the battlefield, not only putting at risk the gains Ukraine has made, but increasing the likelihood of Russian military victories.”
The White House said identical letters were sent to Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.).

In the first of a two-part series, The Post examined the lead-up to Ukraine’s counteroffensive. The Pentagon was deeply involved in military planning for the operation, but friction and second-guessing between Washington and Kyiv raised deeper questions about Ukraine’s ability to retake decisive amounts of territory.

Essentially, it all comes down to the fact that the United States and NATO, engages in brinkmanship with Russia, so as not to provide arms to Ukraine that would push Russia into nuclear retaliation against the US. It seems to me that NATO’s objectives in Ukraine, have been largely accomplished, with thousands of dead Communists and NAZIS.
You do not understandt he situation at all. It is Russia and China ready to play brinksmanship because they have the nuclear advantage.
I doubt that the United States would be so aggressively backing Ukraine if the US didn’t have super advanced technology which renders nuclear arms inert. Case in point, you don’t really believe that the PatRIOT missiles shot down a Russian hypersonic missile, do you?
The U.S. is not aggressively backing Ukraine. That is fiction.
This is a normal thing in war. Always happens. On the Russian side it is worse.
Why would the enemy pollute the land with radioaction they intend on colonizing?
Why attack the West with nukes when the covid bio weapon is killing and maiming millions.
Precisely. Bio warfare via airborne pathogens or poisoned municipal drinking water is ineffective due to dilution. A fake virus to terrorize people into taking untested fake vaccines, however, works great. There will not be two more nuclear wars; only one, and that doesn’t happen until three and one half years after a peace treaty is executed by and between the dictator of Europe and the head of the one World religion, for the protection of Israel.
Thermonuclear weapons can be used in a way that does not pollute the land. Have you not been listening?
Americans are losing their freedoms, liberties, and country. That will happen way before the nukes fly.
It is up to us, if we are willing to suffer for or freedom or prefer a comfortable enslavement.

‘We have to support Ukraine in both good and bad times,’ NATO chief says in ARD interview.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg warned that the Western military alliance should be ready for bad news from the Ukrainian front as Kyiv continues to defend against Russia’s all-out invasion.
“Wars develop in phases,” Stoltenberg said in an interview Saturday with German broadcaster ARD. “We have to support Ukraine in both good and bad times,” he said.
“We should also be prepared for bad news,” Stoltenberg added, without being more specific.

I was reminded again why I don’t like video reports, especially those as long and wide ranging as this one — by the time one listens to the end, details from the beginning of the video are long forgotten. It’s then impossible to respond to those details without taking the time to relisten to the video. Who has time for that?
Thank you for dissuading people from listening.
